MLP: FiM everyone should know

Generator Rex is just the most fun, interesting show I've seen aired on CN that isn't comedy. It really is a good show.

...Adventure Time? Generator Rex? Those aren't real cartoons. Sorry but, they just aren't.

 

Alright...

 

Top three cartoons of all time...

 

Batman the Animated Series. Animaniacs. Looney Tunes.

 

And that was with effort. Those are the top three I can never stop watching. But there are sooo many good ones. Avatar: The Last Airbender is amazing (though I haven't seen too much, the original plot and animation is superb). Teen Titans is very awesome, an action comedy drama coming of age show all in one. Spiderman the Animated series was great. Tiny Toon Adventures, Spongebob Squarepants (the first three seasons), Hey Arnold was incredibly down to earth, Doug was a classic, Justice League ... It's a tough choice.

 

I'm not including Anime because I'm not well acquainted with it. However the Gundam series, 08th MS Team, I've heard is considered one of those legendary anime series, which I have seen. But I dunno for sure about that.

 

Also Yogi Bear, Underdog, the FLINTSTONES, all started it all. Those are hilarious and considered classics.

 

All modern cartoons are terrible, besides MLP which actually I can give a very good score. But that's really it.

I don't give two cares, man. I really, really don't. The whole patronizing "It wasn't made for my generation so it sucks" thing is just so incredibly annoying. Whichis not to say there isn't truth to this-- but sticking AT alongside the likes of SMFA or MAD is a stupid thing todo. AT is too often disregarded for its simplistic art style and moderate randomness. Its dark, post-apocalyptic undertones and complex character development (Not to mention humor) is sadly overlooked. As for GR, it's an action series with a fun, complex plot and characters. I enjoy it. If this is "Not a real cartoon" I really couldn't care less.

Hey please do excuse me. I didn't mean any disrespect directly at you. It's just there are a lot of kids I know who in fact hate older cartoons just because they've never seen them, and won't give them a chance. (And that can be reversed) I've seen a few eps of AT, and it wasn't my thing, but I'm aware a lot of people say it's a great show.

 

I was surprised that no one mentioned anything older, so I guess I went a little over the top there. lol Again, wasn't trying to sound too harsh or crush those cartoons. They aren't my favorites, but I was just trying to broaden the appeal.

I mentioned a Spider-Man cartoon from the 90s.

 

Also, I don't watch cartoons much these days, so I really don't know what Gen Rex is... What is it?

I actually don't think MLP is the best cartoon of all time. Nor would I list it as a favorite. My top three go to (in no particular order):

 

1. Scooby-Doo Where Are You?

2. Jackie Chan Adventures

3. Digimon (Season 3 Honorable Mention)

 

Honorable mentions: Xio-Lin Showdown. Tom and Jerry.

 

Being a kid... fun times.

There's way too many for me to name a top three.

 

Anyway, I like most of the Cartoon Cartoons, I like Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, I like The Fairly Oddparents, I like Danny Phantom, I like a ton of old cartoons that Boomerang plays, and so on. And I kind of like MLP, mostly because it's restored my faith that there are still good cartoons being made for TV.

It's a show about a 15-year old guy who has no memory and can turn various body parts into machines. It's pretty much a fighting series that also blends in some moral issues and great character design.

Honestly, I picked Gen Rex as the third show for completely arbitrary reasons. There are a handful of others I'd mention. GR is just the more recent.
