So. I have been on BZPower as a member for six years. First off, to celebrate, here is a little something for Extermination.
I thought I'd go over some of the milestones from the past six years in this entry, that way I can never do it again.
2008
-I joined the site on December 22. Obviously.
2009
-In January I released my first comedy, Vultraz's Diner. To this day, the character Vultraz is near and dear to my heart.
-I entered my first contest on BZPower (a BBC contest), and obviously did not win. MOCs are not my strong suit.
-I also played The BZPower Challenge 2 in the Games & Trivia forum, almost a year and a half before I would return to the forum to play any of the Mafia games.
2010
-I joined the Comedies Critics Club.
-I changed my name for the first time (I don't count my name change in 2009), and I have been swapping names ever since.
-I hosted my first Mafia game, Bionicle Mafia 31: Mind Games. It was a disaster.
-I released Tahu vs. Tahu - my crowning achievement in the Comedies forum. While I might have started my career on BZPower with Vultraz's Diner, it is Tahu vs. Tahu that is nearest and dearest to my heart. Even now I long to bring it back, and if I can find a way to make it work with a new storyline taking place in 2015, then I will. I absolutely will. It actually released on December 19th - whether it is coincidence or not, 19 is my favorite number.
2011
-I helped to host the first (and last) ever Comedies Awards.
-Tahu vs. Tahu landed on the Hot Topics list several times.
-I became a premier member, and got my blog.
-The forums went offline for six months; when they returned, I was one of the members who returned - and actually stayed.
-I became interested in MLP right in the middle of the MLP craze, and was inspired to create three horrible, horrible display names. Ugh.
2012
-I finally hosted another Mafia game; Mafia III: The Cult. It would go on to be the first in a "Mafia III" series that has, so far, lasted four games.
-I revived the Comedies Critics Club, taking charge.
-I released How to Be a Hero, my second-most popular comedy after Tahu vs. Tahu. It eventually sort of quietly died off thanks to a lack of updates from myself, and the topic is just a mess now thanks to the coding errors that hit BZPower around this time last year. I had always wanted to re-write it in prose, but I don't really see the point anymore. It'd be too much time that I could spend on something else.
-I completed Tahu vs. Tahu after four seasons and almost two years;I should have left it at that. Regretfully, I allowed myself to follow through on the horrible idea of a sequel; The AfterWords was released that December. The AfterWords eventually ended after two seasons and less than a year, although the last few chapters were lost in the October 2013 Hacking and have not been reposted. I consider The AfterWords mostly non-canon.
-I also helped to organize the first (out of two) Comedies "Expos", where authors gathered to tease projects that they were working on.
2013
-I hosted Bionicle Mafia III: By the Numbers, which until very recently had the fastest signups in Mafia history.
-I started the Smash Files blog post series, detailing my thoughts on all news and other information regarding Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U.
-Together with Portalfig, I co-hosted the Darkest Days Trilogy of Mafia games, celebrating the fact that Bionicle Mafia X: Darkest Dawn was the 50th main series Mafia game on BZPower. It was also the first time anyone had co-hosted a Mafia game since Mind Games.
-Portalfig and I also did most of the work on the BZP Mafia Wiki, although it has since become outdated thanks to a lack of updates.
2014
-I got featured on the front page for two of my epics (Isolation and Extraction), which is very cool.
-I became a POBZPC, earning the orange (and promptly changed my name to "Sir Voltex the Blue" just to confuse everybody). The name change did its job quite nicely.
-I finally relaunched Bionifight as Bionifight Ultimate; it is the largest topic in Games & Trivia, and the biggest game in the series.
-I hosted Bionicle Mafia XIX: The Voltex Constant, which beat By the Numbers to hold the NEW record for the fastest signups in Mafia history.
-I also feel like this year, I became more active in the larger community of BZPower itself, rather than just sticking to one or two subforums like glue; I've popped in all over the place.
2015
-What is coming? Well... I will admit that I've never hosted an RPG before.....
