Omi, I'm not going to lie. You are one of my most favorite people on BZP. I think I've proved that with the sheer number of entries dedicated to you. But to tell you the truth, I don't like the way you act all the time. You know that "I'm the Moderator do as I say or face my wrath." kind of attitude For example the following quote:

It's that kind of thing that irks me. I understand that sometimes that's the way you've got to be, but, honestly, that harsh? Also consider the following.

I've been known to go back and edit the comments of people in the Omi apreciation entry. I did it enmasse on the one entry where you could only talk about Omi. I did it in that spirit and had no idea Ca'gerrin would react as such. I respected his wishes by not editting any other of his comments. I never meant it in any seriousness. I would have done it to anybody.

I am a moderator. I enforce the rules. Rules aren't meant to be bent or broken. You are a member. You have to heed the enforcements and the rules. That is the morals I live by.

I like this the most. Take me for an example: I have no powers here on BZP, no titles above that of a donor , and am not exactly that active, but I posess alot of respect here on these forums. I nam a prime example of what you said, Omi. :-)

 

So to question those who have serious issues with me: why do you not like me? If you do not like me, then why not say it to me? I prefer being told then having you go around say it to everyone and make up rumors and stuff.

Very true. Spreading the mold would only make matters worse, and guess who'd be at blame? Not you, but the member who defiles respect and goes his own way. If they had a problem, take it up to authority (and as you are an authority over yourself, you bare the person to go to.).

The point still stands that you sucker punched him. It doesn't matter what he did before or afterwards. You're actions need to be judged and judged alone and not under any sort of circustance depending on what other people were doing at the time.

However what I don't like is the way you responded in the situation. Are you not a Moderator? Could you not have reported the comments to an Admin to have him remove it. That's what you should have done but instead you retaliated with flaming. As a Moderator, you're supposed to put out fires, not add fuel to the fire, right? I can name quite a few staff who are heavy on the duties, so it balances out. And I can "complain" about it if I want to, considering this is my blog, and I am just voicing a little opinion (which is not banned here on BZP).

I actually agree with these two points.Bones, I am sad to say, is far more efficiend than you re, Omi. You see, there is this thing he uses called logic. Also, he is someone who you can approach and reproach at whatever level you are. This is something I cannot say about you, sadly.

True as well, seeing as what you did was taking matters into your own hands. I know what honor and duty can mean, but at the same time, uprightness means more as the ability to know that you did well is more benefitting than busting the "criminal" and satisfying what your ego and feelings demand. Self esteem is more healthy than ego. Ragardless where you got yoiur ego.

So what I am saying is, bonesiii does/did/can do things that would be "approved" by either staff or member (no offense bones). About the people who are heavy on their duties. I can venture a fair geuss at who you're talking about and note this, none of them are liked too well. In fact, I dislike some of them with a passion. However when you look at Pohuaki, Bonesiii, Dr. Bionicle, and SPIRIT, you'd be hard pressed to find a person who would even venture a complaint against them.

 

Oh and yes, some oppinions are banned on BZP. If not, why have I seen topics closed because of oppinions? Why have I seen blog entries closed because of oppinions? Why have I seen people lost proto because of oppinions?

It is funny how you mention that considering one of the few reasons why I resigned is because of members like yourselves. Those who didn't approve of how I did things, although my colleagues said otherwise. So basically you guys say I am doing a horrible job, but there is also that staff member who knows me and knows I am doing a good job.

Anyways, my credentials are not in paper, plastic, or LCD screen. The fact that I specialize in it is obvious; I am a philosopher on the subject. Plus, I am almost always in a debate with someone (mostly my dad, someone who is very hard to deal with), am one of the most introspective people you can find, and most of all lose well. My creds are in the form of experience and imbedded in my head, visible to anyone with an open mind.

Asa amod, you may exel, but at the same time, you must realize that neither you nor bonsy have perfect work ethics (no offence, bones). If he can do things that are questionable, then so can you. We try to point it out to you, and you turn to your badge. This is something even worse: indulgence.

 

Now allow me to get something clear: I do think you are a cool guy. I honestly do. Why else would you be in one of my dreams? Nevertheless, there are things I disagree with. In fact, much of the time I disagree with people, but I still know when and how to lose. I turn not to ego, although I do have a reasonable amout of it. But notice that I go bthrough many things that are unorthodox, my philosophies included. I must confess that the main reason why I am entering this discussion is because I see flaws in your styles, things that difer from my philosophies. But allow me to state that to date, my philosophies have not been proven wrong. In fact, they have changed people's attitudes alot, and there are several that I can name that had this change (although I would prefer not naming anyone). Unless my philosophies are proven wrong, I cannot admit failure as they remain as facts, not theories.

Incorrect. I myself (and I can only speak for myself as I am an interloper ) imply that your work ethics can use some work. That is a far broader scale than just nailing ego.

 

Perhaps you have forgotten the fundamental part of Respectism? I phrased this in many ways, but it still stands true: staff respects member for what he can be and member respects staff for what he is.

 

This has never been disproven, ever. As of yet, not one person could find flaw in this single most important part. Apply it in many ways, too. But notice that it does not say "member respects staff for what he does", as that would destroy the entire philosophy. Also note the difference betwix respect and awesomify (is that even a word? ). There is a profound difference.

 

I remain neuteral in this discussion and am in it mainly for my own purposes. I am neither Desu's ally nor Omi's ally. I am an interloper using his introspect. So please, do not take me as your enemy in this discussion.
