Well, that takes care of all the awards (at least the ones I care about :P ) So...

If you were Commissioner of Baseball, what would you want to change? Out of the reasonable things that I'd do (which eliminates contracting the Pirates and the Nationals) I'd change the division alignment back to two divisions per league, but have two Wild Card teams in both the NL and the AL.

NL East--Phillies, Marlins, Braves, Reds, Pirates, Mets, Nationals

NL West--Cubs, Cards, Astros, Giants, Rockies, Padres, D-Backs, Brewers

AL East--Yankees, Red Sox, Indians, Rays, Blue Jays, O's, Tigers

AL West--White Sox, Rangers, A's, Angels, Mariners, Royals, Twins

Anyhow, yeah, what would you do if you were Commissioner of Baseball?

1) I'd completely overhaul the revenue sharing. Every team puts 10% of the money they get from ticket sales, TV contracts, or otherwise, and then the money is split into 30 parts with one part per team. It's better than the screwy system they have now.

2) Instant replay. I've seen enough blown calls to determine that we need one ump in the booth to look at the footage from the TV trucks and radio down to the crew chief if the call needs to be changed. This could take all of one minute, and for more calls than just home runs. I wouldn't do it for balls and strikes, but everything else can be reviewed.

3) I might make it so some teams can actually switch the division they play in during the off-season in a random lottery - I'd at least make it so all divisions have equal teams.

I hear you on the instant replay, although it took the Gallaraga game to convince me. I'd do it more like the NHL however, with someone in New York or something watching each game and be the one who could overturn calls, and only he could decide. I hate the NFL system with challenges and so forth.

As for the team division switching, I disagree. Teams can fall and rise by hard work, as far as I'm concerned. That's how the Yankees got where they are. And they weren't always the powerhouse. Back when my dad was a kid, the O's were the powerhouse in the East.

As for the next question. If there was one eligible player you wanted in the Hall of Fame, who would it be? For me, it's Ron Santo all the way.

Okay, slight variation of the last question--of those still playing in MLB, who do you think is most likely to be a first ballot Hall of Famer.

This one is easy for me, too. Derek Jeter.
