  1. You are walking through the desolate streets of an abandoned city once glorious and thriving, once frivolous with the hustle and bustle of its inhabitants. You were sent here by an unknown, told to come here as a way to pass the time. They promised that your time here would be well spent. The cold pavement, blackening skies, and light rainstorm makes you wish for the comforts of a warm home, but somehow you know that there is no hope of finding such a place here. But just as you think this, you see a silhouette standing by one of the empty buildings here. You cannot see them very clearly, but you do see their hand beckoning you to come towards them. You agree in hopes that they will provide you with care. When you meet with them, you see that they are black and grey like the city. They open a door for you, and this doorway leads you down a long, winding hallway. You think it will never end, but finally you reach another black door. When the being opens the door for you, you are nothing but amazed. You gawk at the world of beauty and color before you, and soak in the warmth of the brightly lit room. You are left speechless by the crystal chandelier hanging high above you, and are astonished by the delicate features of every object. Everything in the room is made of crystal: Crystal vases stand tall in the corners of the room, a warm fireplace at either end of the wide area, crystal tables and chairs in corners, pictures everywhere – you wonder if this is an illusion. Your hostess is sitting by one of the fireplaces, but before you can step towards her, she rises. She is tall and thin, the picture of elegance. Her armor is deep purple and silver, traces of scarlet intertwined with the royal purple, and her mask, a Kanohi Huna, is all purple. Her emerald green eyes enchant you and draw you in, and her welcoming smile makes you secure in the knowledge that you have found a resting place. She leads you to sit by the fire, and then showcases to you rows of bookshelves – the shelves are dusty, while the books seem unused. She smiles at you once more, and the dancing green of her eyes tells you to do nothing but read to your heart’s content. ~:~ Epics _~_~_~_~_ A Dark Hunter’s Tale : Review Topic : Consequently my first epic on the site, explaining the back story of one of my own characters, Tikiani. Since I’m probably going to become more and more inactive over time, I wanted to post the newer library of my works with hopes that others will view my collection of stories. Unfortunately, I’ve yet to apply links and URLs to the majority of the stories listed here. That’s where you come in: I need help with links for stories, and if you are willing to help me and possibly find old links to my stories, please PM them to me and I will be very, very thankful for your kindness. Although I will not have any form of reward for you, I might be able to do something for you. If you have any story, piece of art, MOC – anything – I will be glad to review it for you in an attempt to reward you. Thank you. To move on, I need to list some of my inspirations. I owe almost all of my ability to write whatsoever to Lady Kopaka. Her stories made me really, really appreciate writing, and made me want to write like her. Although I definitely can’t say that I can write like her at all, I still can write, and from what people have told me, I can write well (though, honestly, I don’t think that theory holds much water). When I started writing, I didn’t have anybody motivating me or encouraging me to write more. The only person that ever told me to write more was me, because I knew I could improve. Over time, I rallied no support from anyone, until I finally gained some more friends here. Out of all these, there are three that I feel are my biggest inspirations, if not for their own talent but for their friendship. My best friend, Taka Nuvia, has always been around for me to talk to, and although not a very big writer herself, she is still my best friend and I have always wanted to emulate her artistic talent and overall friendliness (Let’s face it, I don’t tend to be the friendliest person). The second person is one that I don’t talk to that often, but I always felt support from him. I must say that one of my biggest inspirations and motivators has to be Velox. For his support I thank him, although I don’t think I can possibly give him anything in return that could be better than what he has done for me. The third is Eponine, or Aderia. She is like a sister to me, as we tend to share the common interests of craziness, writing, kittens, and many other things. She’s helped me through tough scenarios, and I’ve always thought she was one of the best writers on the site, although sometimes underrated. I also owe my inspiration and writing capabilities to most of my friends here, including Zarayna, Ezorov, Inferna Firesword, and I hate to admit that there are many, many others that I have forgotten that should belong here. All these people I thank for their kindness and insanity. I would go on, but I think it would turn into pathetic ramblings as this is already. If you took the time to read this, thank you, and I hope you enjoy my collection of stories.

    SNOW

Sorry to hear you were late, but I must say, you're lucky that you get snow. I rarely ever get it...oh, well. =/
  3. I read this after the FFFC and found that this definitely deserved its first place position (not like I didn't think it did when I saw that anyway, haha). Unfortunately, I only reviewed it now, which is the part where I want to beat myself over the head for procrastinating. xP It was an amusing story, and I must say, I would have rather wanted the kitten anyway - no matter how cute puppies are, kittens will always be cuter. <3 It was definitely a good laugh, and brightened my day when I read it. The moral was very entertaining, and the overall simplicity of it was well done. In short? I loved it. Keep up the good work, Aderia - I will be looking forward to your next story. c:
  4. This is adorable! The dragon's expression is priceless, and the bird is cute. Which reminds me, I now need to go and write a background story to this picture because this is just too good to pass up. xD So, in all, it is an adorable piece of art, and keep up the good work. Sorry for an incredibly short review, but math is keeping me busy at the moment, and I wanted to comment on this. Fantastic job again. =)
  5. We haven't talked in ages! D: By the way, I added you on Skype. I finally got permission from my parents, and I also joined Ambage. Unfortunately Skype imploded, so I won't be back on it for awhile until I get that fixed. So how are you, Grant? How is work/life? :3

    1. Grant-Sud

      Grant-Sud

It HAS been ages. Sorry Peach, I've just been kind of busy. But that's awesome you got permission to join the Ambage and I'll probably see you around sometime! =D Yeah work and life are going well. Nothing really new to tell. ^^

  6. Best of luck to you on reading 52 books. I plan on doing half of that, a book every two weeks instead. Unfortunately I'm late on the first book, so I'm having to finish it in three days because I came up with this idea well after the start of the New Year. I haven't read Lord of the Rings either, so don't feel bad. I only watched the movies last year, and found them to be pretty interesting. I unfortunately realized that I (accidentally) had used the name Rohan in my epic, without knowing of its usage in Lord of the Rings. =P I might pick up the books sometime, along with The Hunger Games. I obtained some money after selling some jewelry I made, so I should be able to pick up a couple of books with that money.

Alright. =] I will probably check them both out, then. I hope I will be free to watch them this weekend, as long as I'm not busy with something else, haha.

Thanks. =] I just wish I could actually get into the habit of writing more often, though. I will take you up on that offer some time, maybe I'll send you a chapter or two when I can, if you won't mind too much. Oh, it's kind of a New Year's resolution. I've got a list of about 18 books so far, I still have eight more that I want to list, although five of them are going to be school books I have to read later this year. I'm not entirely sure which ones they are, though, so I'm keeping the list unfinished until I figure that out. And those sound like interesting books! I'll definitely check them out, thanks! =] Any genre really works for me, honestly. I'm not a huge fan of westerns, but it depends on the story that goes with it. Romance is decent, too - Gone With the Wind is an obvious example of a purely romantic/dramatic book. I plan to actually read that, although it might take awhile. Among some of the books I plan on reading include Drawn to Disaster by Lily Gee, as I made a bit of a promise to her/myself that I would read it when it was published. I wasn't aware of its publication until a few weeks ago, unfortunately, so I will probably order it off of Amazon. Heheh, about the same. There is plenty of music I could recommend to you, but it depends on the type of genre you like. (How come I'm getting a strong sense of deja vu? =P) Aimee sent me a link to the 25th Aniiversary concert, and I plan on watching that soon. She sent me a clip of Samantha Barks singing 'On My Own', and I was completely drawn into the concept of Les Miserables. I hope to watch the full video when I have time. They are really fun to talk to, aren't they? They tend to dive off the deep end a couple of times, but they are a fun (although crazy) bunch of people. You're welcome! =] (And I suggest if you do reply to this that you send me a PM, but if you prefer to comment here, that's fine by me. This is basically us messaging/conversing with each other as it is, the exception being that the whole forum can see what we're talking about. =P)
  9. Hmm...I probably think Vezon and Fenrahkk were one of the hardest, but I believe the Kardas dragon took several hours to complete, and was probably the hardest, also.
  10. Are you kidding? My desk is cluttered enough, I doubt I'd have room for a BIONICLE set on it! =P
  11. Personally I thought the Mahri or the Barraki were my favorite. The deep sea theme had some very creative designs and pieces, honestly. My least favorite would have to be the Toa Nuva - I frankly don't understand their popularity, because they weren't really good looking sets and didn't offer very good pieces, with the exception of the Nuva feet, but that is my opinion, nothing more.
  12. I don't really have any desperate need for pieces, but the only ones I'd really want would be all the white pieces on Hahli Inika. All the joints on mine are cracked and definitely have some wear on them.
  13. Never. The risk of losing pieces or the sets themselves is too high.
  14. Wow, that is really cool! It has always been a pain to sort things...that is a wonderfully-built mechanism. ^^
  15. Should be interesting, although I hope it will be good. When it is done by TT games, the games have a tendency to glitch. =P (If you remember LEGO Stars Wars on the DS, you will remember that it used to glitch quite a bit, and any other LEGO game I've played that were also done by TT, the game has glitched. It might be pure coincedence, but nonetheless, it has occurred to me.)

Well, you definitely wrote a lot more stories than I did. =P I hope to write more, and hopefully complete anything I write. I'm also hoping to flesh out some novel ideas, I have maybe three, and all of them are decent, but all of them might not be that interesting or perhaps overused. But I suppose I'm being a bit selfish in my commentary - be proud of yourself! Your stories are amazing, and I think it is absolutely wonderful you reached 30K in one month. And I wish you good luck with your novel! If you want to, you can always send me chapters of it if you want an opinion on it, and I will be more than willing to read. =] And I need to read. I plan on reading 21 books this year - one every two weeks. I can't read one in a week, it goes against my procrastinating nature. Your book-reading has inspired me, definitely, Velox. Do you have some good books to recommend that I can perhaps read? =) For music, I have also gotten into Adele. I encourage you to listen to her album 21 - 'Skyfall' was an amazing song, but it was just an example of some of her other good songs, such as 'Rolling in the Deep' and 'Someone Like You', both of which are execeptionally well-written and sung with powerful emotion. You can kill me for not seeing Les Miserables. I want to desperately, but movie prices are insanely expensive, and although I have the money to go and see it myself, I am also too young to go and see it myself. I would convince a friend, but she is always extremely busy. And I am blessed to have them as friends, too. It is great to have their quirky company with me when I'm feeling terrible about something, specifically Aimee/Aderia. You and I need to talk more, however, but I guess we tend to either both be busy at the same time, or one's free when the other is busy. Ahh, well, life is going to be like that. For goodness sake, sorry for typing this comment too long! It happens to all of us, I suppose. But indeed, to a happy new year, and hoping this year will be better than the last.
  17. Ahhh, shoot. I hope it is okay but I edited that for the sake that it was the original name of the protagonist, but then I changed it to Katie, since I used the name Sarah in a story of the same name. Thanks so much for the review, Cederak! I would say quite a bit more, but I am entirely too lazy and tired and sick to due so. Besides, it probably include a lot of, "did I really do that?" type of comments. =P Perhaps Dahlonega? It is a favorite little town of mine I visit when vacationing with family...the whole town of Tahlonega is based detail by detail on Dahlonega and its town square. Tahlonega was actually its original name, although I can't recall how it got changed to Dahlonega at the moment. Thanks for the review again! =D

  19. Winter Years By Peach 00 The enchanting winter background was a sight of wonder for the small town. The crisp and clear silvery silhouette of the moon shone beautifully over the town square, while every shimmering star was like a diamond glistening against the velvety, blackness of the boundless horizon. There was a woman dressed in black boots, denim jeans, a grey pom-pom hat and a black wool raincoat. She had twinkling brown eyes and shoulder-length brown hair, and she was walking in the inches of pure white snow in the plaza area of her hometown. The town, Tahlonega, would rarely ever get snow this time of year – it was also a rare amount of snow, specifically ten inches. This was infrequent in the small southern community, and a blessing to each citizen, as they had not received such a large amount since almost thirteen years ago, around the time of Christmas. Had it really been thirteen years ago? She smiled for a moment. Tomorrow was Christmas, perhaps her last Christmas in the little town of Tahlonega, as next year she would probably be moving to Florida. She would never see snow for quite a long time, as the comfortable temperatures of winter in Florida didn’t even dip anywhere near the thirties the majority of the time. Katie Atkins was walking around the town square alone and she was thoroughly enjoying the decorations. Every where her eyes wandered, the wonder of Christmas time seemed to overwhelm them. How Katie would miss the beauty of the town square during the holidays…all the tiny little shops, the heavenly aroma of fudge wafting from the bakery, the pizzeria near the college, and the little odds and ends shop that sold all sorts of different things. This was naturally her favorite – she could buy anything in there, always finding something that would interest her intensely. The bare trees near every sidewalk were decorated with beautiful golden glowing lights intertwined between every silver branch. There was a wreath decorated with red ribbons on every door in the square, and a “Merry Christmas” sign hung just below each wreath. The white snow covered the sidewalks as it fell from the skies in little powdery flakes to form fine snow crystals on the ground. They were like solid teardrops falling from the grey night clouds…they made her sorrowful and reminiscent of times previous when the elegant snowflakes had fallen from the dreary horizon. She recalled all those times when she had taken the snow for granted…before it was a simple production of the weather. She felt the same of the little town of Tahlonega, with its sometimes homely but endearing little shops and cottages. She then thought of Christmas…all those wonderful Christmases at her house were taken for granted. Now she realized they were the most joyous experiences of her life, although she did not consider them that way when they occurred…she regretted not savoring them a little bit more at that time. As she strode leisurely around the small plaza, she saw the extravagantly ornamented and large Christmas tree standing in the town center, adorned with dozens of scarlet ribbons and inexpensive reflective ruby red and emerald green ornaments. She grinned ear to ear at the sight of it. It was such a beautiful celebration of the holiday to her. She looked at the time. It was midnight – it was now officially Christmas. She knew she had better get home, and right before she left, she took out her cellular phone, snapping a picture of the tree as she was about to leave the town center. She viewed the photograph and a smile formed on her lips. Katie was running in the splendorous downfall of snow, cherishing the cold flakes falling on her face, and when she finally reached her Honda Fit, she noticed something in the window of a shop. It was a gold-chained necklace, and the ornament on the necklace was an oval garnet, with small opal jewels surrounding it. She noticed the shop was just about to close, and she rushed towards the shop as she saw the owner about to leave. The woman was rather plump, with raven black hair and a large black overcoat and gloves. She looked about fifty years old, and was just about to lock the shop with her keys. Katie hurried over to her quickly and tapped her on the shoulder. “Excuse me, ma’am?” Katie asked hastily. “What is it, miss?” the woman replied irritably. “That necklace in the window…how much is it?” she questioned. “It is thirty dollars,” she answered icily. “But I am sorry, we’re closed.” “No, no, please,” she pleaded with her. “It is very important that I get this necklace. You see, this is my last time here in Tahlonega, and I would really like it as a reminder –” “I am sorry, we’re closed,” the woman retorted. “Please, ma’am!” Katie begged. “I will pay you fifty dollars for it instead!” The woman paused for a moment and sighed. “Alright,” she relented. “But I’ll only take cash for it now. Do you have the money?” “Yes, yes, I do –” Katie answered, digging into her pocketbook for her wallet. She looked to find only twenty five dollars, and her heart stopped. “I’m sorry…I only have twenty five dollars.” “That’s fine, miss,” the woman replied with a hint of smile. “That will be enough. Merry Christmas.” Katie smiled. “Merry Christmas, ma’am.” She handed her the money, and the woman opened the store back up and put the necklace in Katie’s hands. She locked the store and headed towards her car down the street, and Katie grinned. As she opened her car and seated herself in it, she glanced at the beautiful pendent she was beholding, and smiled at the generosity of the woman. Never would she forget her holiday spirit, or the winter years that went with it. ~:~ This is my first FFFC, and I'm hoping it will place high despite it being a last minute entry. Enjoy. ^^
  20. Fine, add me. =P Note, I won't be able to make time for it constantly, but I'll try my best. I definitely won't be on BZP as often, but I'll join you guys on Skype and whatnot. For the FFFCs, just notify me the theme on Skype, Velox, if that's okay, and I'll post it where I need to here. ^^ Anyhow, count me in! =)

    Loot Loot Loot

I received a Minecraft Periodic Table shirt and a Aperture Laboratories shirt. Those two gifts guaranteed the rest of the gifts and the rest of the day to be awesome. AND OHMYGOSH THAT LARGE WOLF IS SO ADORABLE! :3
  22. How have I not posted in this? Oh, well, here we go. 1) Should the entire Library have a 300 word minimum? Why? No. Perhaps a writer would like to write a simply descriptive essay, or write a poem. Poems usually are a maximum of 300 words, and that's a rather large poem as it is. Most of my poems reach perhaps a maximum of 150 words, so unless you were to create a poetry subforum (which I doubt would ever happen, there's a minority here that writes poetry), poems wouldn't be allowed, unless the Library forum moderators were to make some exceptions. 2) Should Comedies be merged with the rest of the Library? Why? No. It's been a seperate entity in itself, and should stay as that. Perhaps I'm being a little hard on the forum, but I've read what's in there, and it would hardly be able to fit in with the writing in the Epics and Short Stories forum. Not to treat it as some lower class, but what's in the other forums isn't at all in Comedies. Epics and Short Stories both focus on more dramatic, serious writing, while Comedies tends to be just random gibberish. Sure, not all of it's like that, but a broad majority is, trust me. 3) Should the "one chapter per 24 hours" rule be reinstated for anyone not reposting an epic from the old board? I suppose no. Some cases I can see it would be alright, but other times, no. 4) Do you want a CoT Library? Why? If a CoT Library existed, how often would you make use of it? Very often. I would love one. I have posted at least six stories, and all of them have been buried underneath the useless game topics, there being maybe ten of those maximum. Within the first day it's already at the third page - so indeed, I would make enormous use of it and would love one, and thankfully, the staff has done so for us. 5) Are there any ideas, themes, etc. you feel would be better expressed in your writing without a Bionicle influence? What are they? Not a lot. I would love to express such things as death, love, depression, et cetera, a little more thoroughly without BIONICLE's influence. Some may say you can go deep even with the influence of BIONICLE, but personally, I still think that there are some levels you can't penetrate with biomechanical beings. Human emotion is where it is that - mainly why I've been writing more COT pieces to try and penetrate those levels. 6) How often do you post a story? How often do you review? Once every few months. And...well, once every few months. 7) Do you use the critic clubs? Why or why not? Do you find the critic clubs useful? Yes, in order to gain some reviews. I had to use the ECC when I reposted Danger Close, considering I had a tough time garnering reviews and getting my old reviewers back into the story. I do find them very useful, yes. 8) Who are some of your favorite Library writers? What are some of your favorite Library stories? What's your favorite self-written work? This was the part I wasn't looking forward to very much. My memory isn't very good at the moment, so I'll just give you a brief list (in no favorite order mind you, so don't think you're not one of my favorite writers if you're close to the bottom of the list). VeloxLady KopakaInferna FireswordAderiaZaraynaGrant-SudLegolover (Gosh, I can never remember how to write your username, apologies)Rising MoonJean Valjean (also known as Emperor Kraagh, I believe)GaliGeeTaka Nuvia (she does write, you know!)CederakTifosi 92Yukiko If I forgot anybody, forgive me. It's late, for goodness sakes. And my favorite stories? Too many to name. For the meantime, I'll mention that my favorite epic is Glitch In the System by Lady Kopaka. I owe all my writing talent to this wonderful epic and its wonderful writer. Thank you once again, Lady K - I owe you everything. None of them. If I had to choose, and in this case I do, I'd say To Fly or Mistletoe. Not much else to say than the fact that thanks to Velox for kind of defending me on my style of writing in Comedies. I chose script writing because it seemed proper in the Comedies forums, as in actual script writing like that used in plays. Truth be told, as Velox said, the BZP-script writing is slightly garbled and absolutely diffused from what actual script writing is, or at least to me anyway. Not to say that just because I'm using proper script writing means I'm better than everyone else, I just think that the way people use script writing here makes things very confusing, and it becomes irritating after awhile when everyone else starts writing in the same garbled mannerism. I was going to write in prose at first, but I decided not to. No matter which way I went to write it, it didn't seem to fit in.

    Suuuuure...

I have a feeling people are now eating their words. It was supposed to happen at 5 A.M. Here I am at 8, I've made myself a fried egg, and I'm preparing to to start school for today. =P
  24. If your views are that homosexuality or gender equality are wrong, then yes, your speaking of your views is wrong and not allowed. And you don't have a right to free speech on BZPower. ...Those are not my views at all, no. Apparently you've placed me into a group of prejudice extremists as opposed to a group of rational and understanding people. I'm not necessarily on either side of the argument - I believe that everybody has a right to live their life the way they see fit, however they can in order to feel comfortable, regardless of what other people think, no matter their race or orientation or religion. Should I have a problem with their lifestyle (which I never would, but hypothetically speaking), that's my problem, not theirs. The people that are the prejudice extremists don't have a right to free speech or the calm rational people don't have a right to free speech? Either way, there's a chance of discrimination, any way you slice it. I don't see how I have been prejudice in any way - you have gone out of your way to put me into the group that you believe was hateful in the blog war that occurred. Because I happen to disagree with your views, you put me into that group. Truth of the matter is, I don't belong in any 'group'. I stand by myself by simply being who I am. If you think I'm mean and hateful and cruel for being me, just like the group your defending is, you think that. You know why? Because I know I'm not, and that's all that counts. I think that everybody has a right to their lifestyle, no matter what people think. Everybody has a right to live their lives the way they see fit, and somehow by believing that, I'm being prejudice? If you want the honest truth, you're the one being discriminatory and prejudice, because I'm living my life the way I see fit, just like the people your defending, and by believing in equality and just about everything you're calling me out on not believing in, I'm a mean and hateful person. I will say it again: Everybody has a right to live their life the way they see fit. I don't care who you are or what your background is, because I don't judge people by their orientation or religion. I'm going to leave it at this. I've argued with you in the past, DV, and I've found that we disagree on everything we've ever discussed. There's no point in trying to make amends, and I know it is obviously wrong to even attempt to argue with a staff member as it is. I know I've crossed the line one time too many, and I apologize for that, but unfortunately I don't think that is enough. I think this has taught me to bite my tongue. But I simply felt that before my tongue turns black and blue that maybe I should state my final thoughts on the issue. Otherwise, case closed - you can continue to argue, but I don't care anymore. What I've found from all arguments that have ever occurred on this site is that neither side is ever willing to listen. For once, I'd like to see the people here open up their ears instead of their mouths, and unfortunately I'm an example of that.
  25. @ Tilius: No point in arguing about it. I have my views, you have yours. Unfortunately, you and a few other hundred feel the need to state your views on a kids' site. What does that make you, some hero? Do you think you're going to get a gold star? No. Neither am I. I don't expect it, because I'm simply stating my views. Just like you are. We'll disagree constantly and we'll get no where, and that's the point. And when it gets to that point, that's where we just forget about it because we know we'll never agree. Also, it's not like I'm being prejudice or anything like that in any way. I have no problem with a person's race or orientation or whatever. You can be who you are, and I really have no problem with it. It just gets to a point where, when I have no problem with that, people think that deep down I really hate them or something when I don't and decide to antagonize me for apparently being prejudice when I really am not. (...Backwards logic much? Seriously, that's how some people react to me... =/) But that all aside, to me, from what I see, me speaking my views is apparently wrong and exercising my right to free speech isn't allowed. And even if it is, I just become ostracized by the staff and all the members from the site for being who I am just like everybody else is. But hey, look. Tilius, I know we'll never reach an agreement. You know my views, I know yours. My thoughts? Let's move on. We shouldn't forget it, but we can just move on and learn. Perhaps you've already learned before, and it's my time to learn. It's hard to say. Anyhow, maybe we can bury the hatchet, I don't know. I wouldn't mind moving on, and I already regret bringing this back up, since it had finally settled down, so perhaps you can forgive me for that. I apologize for being rude, and I hope you can forgive me. =) (Also, kids are indeed smart, depending on the age. Some are incredibly ignorant, however. Take me, for example, haha. I'm twelve, so maybe that will explain why I have no self-restraint from keeping my mouth shut. =P And, I wrote those comments at around eight this morning, just after I woke up, which probably wasn't the wisest move on my part...)
