Yeah, so I'm not really going to college yet but I did take my math placement test for a college class I'll be taking this school year. I got a 97 on my Algebra, a 62 on my College Algebra, and a 39 on my Trigonometry. So technically, I could try to skip Pre-Calculus, though I probably won't. An A in my Algebra II/Trigonometry class, a 600 (aka perfect score) on my SOL (aka final exam), a 69 on my PSAT in math (60 required to get in), a 39 on the Trigonometry portion of my placement test (I had to reach the Trig part to be accepted. A 30 would get me into Calculus. I'm well past that too ), and the fact that I started school a year late (technically sophmores aren't allowed to take the class, but since I'm in the age group of rising-Junior for my state, I should be set) should guarantee that I get put into the Dual Enrollment Pre-Calculus class (college credits! ) but with my dumb luck something will probably go wrong. Due to not liking the teacher, my mom isn't letting me take the Honors English class (apparently the teacher only gives one A to a student per quarter) so English should be a breeze next year. On more semester of Latin and then I won't have to take anymore foreign language! And I'm now able to get that Journalism class into my schedule. NEXT YEAR SHALL BE AWESOME! B)

I wonder how many people accidentally send their GregF PMs to "GregF is the B-E-S-T." I'd love to see his inbox.

Yeah, my goal this summer is to, at the very least, get the four historical merit badges. I already finished Carpentry (now I have nice bookshelf in my room ). I'm sure how I'm going to do some of the others though. Good luck with getting your project done!

If you're in the Blender Academy you don't have to do this.
-
Any replacement tutorial is fine, Thylon. People learn better through different means, just make sure you get at least the basics of Blender. Noob to Pro is not a mandatory tutorial. There several others that teach it differently, so feel free to use the "For Dummies" book.

Electricity and chain lightning would be redundant but heat vision and laser vision wouldn't be?

Woah. I can easily see a "two-party system" arising on BZP (Pro-fan made canon and con-fan made canon). That's just... weird.

For BNG! Credit to Cherixon for banner We are forming the Bionicle: Next Generation: Support Group. While the Blender Academy deals with one-on-one training in Blender, we are also doing something a little more broad. By joining the BNG: Support Group you are given access to many things including... •Beta testing the Bionicle Arena game due out by January 2011 •Have a custom character appear in the Bionicle Arena game •Be the first to see the movies we create and give us your opinion before it is released to the general public •Monthly BNG newsletters (if you want) •Appearance in the BNG comic series being written by Lewa Krom •Be eligible for the BNG Writer's Club (coming soon) •More in the works! All we ask in return is that, once a month you try to complete a unit in Blender 3D: Noob to Pro tutorial all the way through Unit III. After that, you'll be able to join BNG as a modeler or animator. If you need assistance, we have some experts who would be glad to take the time to help you (*cough* glares at Phantax for no particular reason ). If you really want to become a primary modeler/animator or help with a game, you can finish Unit IV in the tutorial and then take this brief tutorial if you're interested in game making: Blender 3D: Blending into Python By doing one unit a month, you get full membership in BNG as well as any and all benefits that come with it! From someone who's taken most of the tutorial, I can say it's not incredibly difficult and you actually feel like you're getting the hang of it by halfway through the first unit. Also, current BNGers. I'll be making a mandate of this upon those who I'm are not busy this summer (Busy meaning Nusua or Krayce - they amongst a few others will be exempt from this mandate) to also do the same work that the members of our Support Group will be doing. As I have been quoted "I have a dream that one day everyone will be able to 3D model and 3D animate." By learning this stuff, I'm not asking you to be particularly good at it, just being able to understand things when people talk about meshes and baking and stuff like that as well as being able to help render something should somebody need you to do it. So with that: It's summer. That's roughly 3 months of free time. Chances are you could finish the 3 units by the end of the month by putting in less than an hour a day. I'm not asking for much. Just a minimum. And who knows - maybe BNG will be more successful than anyone thought before!

Please review these two in their respective topics. Artwork ::: MOC

Holmes must be good at jigsaw puzzles to put Watson back together again.
-
Oh yeah, uh, how did Watson exactly survive with minimum injury after the explosion?
-
Very good movie. Though I wish the girl had died and not landed on a platform thing.

How much madu would a Piruk pluck is a Piruk could pluck madu?

They might be using an iPhone or a DS-thing or a library/school's computer and thus can't download Blender in the first place. Maybe to those lazy concept artists we never hear from anyway.
-
All current BNGers, unless they are already Moderator/anims are required to go through it by the end of October. I will make exceptions though, if you make a good case (eg. lack of a computer )

I have yet to figure out how to get them out, too and I've been working on it for a year... well given that I've only gone there twice to actually try it...

Project X?

IDK - Your name just popped into my mind while I was writing it

Yes, Kindergardeners count as do colorful puppets that live on a street named after seeds that are put ontop of hamburger buns. 1. TracFones fail. I have a TracFone it was supposed to expire two days ago because I forgot to add airtime. Well, it didn't. I still added airtime to it today. Apparently there's no such thing as an expiration date on it and that's just a lie. 2. Two years ago, my brother signed for a cruise. Now with the oil in Gulf, not many people would want to take a cruise in the Gulf. My brother signed up for one near Alaska. Two years ago. He obviously has great foresight! 3. Oh my Gresh alliterations are amusing to be able to use in writing! Now just to figure out how to describe Tren Krom in an alliteration. Also on the subject of Unaware, of the 1500 words thus far, this paragraph would have to be one of my personal favorites. I'll be revising it to make it sound smoother though.

Upcoming short story banner made by 55555! I also am finishing up Sea of Heroes: Chapter One and will be rewriting Belly of the Blaze to incorporate another storyline I wanted to put in as well as to improve the writing. I'll be adding a prologue, which should come out very well. So, yeah. I was going to write Unaware back in April in memory of the Oklahoma City Bombing but I got a little too busy and haven't been able to get anything done. UPDATE: I'm having loads of fun with alliterations in this short story at the moment. I only have 1,233 words at the moment and I haven't even introduced the main plot. Anyways here's a sneak peek at the fun I'm having. Should I go back during a revision more alliterations to the story?
