  1. This is for BBC #68: Get in the Robot! This is: Warpath Gundam (^Click for larger picture^) Back/Side View View of Jets Gallery (when public) Flickr Link I based some of this from Turn A Gundam, but otherwise it's mostly aesthetically and proportionally based on various Gundams. I tried to give it a samurai-esque feel, with the crest, shoulder armor (and the flower, for shintoism), and the skirt to some extent. Other than that, I did what I could to maintain the Gundam aesthetic and design, with the longer legs, boxier torso, and I even gave it 5 fingers! The shoulder armor and skirt do not restrict articulation, the skirt is connected via balljoints, and the shoulder armor is able to swivel up and down (while the tiles can also go up and down) due to a system of pins and stuff. I wanted to keep it as real to Gundams as I can. The ankle armor does restrict it a bit, but it is necessary in order to support the mass of the MOC. C&C appreciated.

  3. Count me in! It really was a great movie <3 This is really nice of you! You sure will be brightening up 4 peoples' days (or most likely week, cause who wouldn't re-watch the movie multiple times?)
  4. All scorpions glow under UV light, so maybe that's what you're thinking of. Thanks guys :3
  5. Thanks, bro! I tried not to put too much red, because I knew that it would soon begin to really clash with the GITD, I'm glad that it worked out xD. Yeah, I tried to stick to the anatomy as accurate as possible for this, and the tail was something I realized I had to fix. Thank you! Yes, the GITD blue is really a great color, wish I had more. Thank you! Although it is red But the brighter picture gives it a orangish tinge. Thanks! Scorpion tails typically have a longer segment at the end, so I felt the barraki head would help emulate that, although I do with the back of the headpiece was a bit shorter. <3 Of course! Boat studs are really fun to use. Yeah, this actually used a large quantity of my pieces, each leg itself has almost 30 pieces. Thanks! I tried my best to shape this well, not very often that I build something based off a living creature, so I might as well do it right. Thanks! (It is actually red, sorry about the confusion) The legs don't necessarily pop off, but they are sensitive, due to the weight of the MOC. That's red - but I think orange would look cool. I wonder if Lolo has those parts in that color. I could replace nearly everything with orange, except boat studs and some connectors. Yes, it is a Gadunka head. Thanks! Thank you! Scorpions actually glow under UV light, so that was the inspiration behind this MOC's color scheme, actually (and yes, this does glow in the dark)! Well, the claws are accurate (although claw structure slightly varies between species). The two little parts on the stinger that stick out are odd, yes, but the overall shape of it is accurate to the ones all scorpions have. It can. And they look weird because they look like the real thing. <3 Thanks <3 Glad you like it! No actually! Scorpions have 8 legs and two pincers (because they still are arachnids). The mistake may be from the Nui-Jaga, who had 6 legs and similar scorpion structures, however those are not anatomically correct to real life scorpions that you'd find.
  6. Yes I am still partially dead <3 [Click for topic] Flickr Link
  7. It's been a while since I've made something big. Took me a while to finish this, but glad I got it done. A large scorpion using GITD blue pieces. A minion of the Egyptian Goddess, Serket. I tried to maintain the anatomy of scorpions, however, I only decided to take creative license on the eyes, because I wanted something that really popped. The legs can all move, the tail is pose-able (and the stinger is also able to rotate back), and the top pincers can close down like a real scorpion. Gallery (When Public) Flickr
  8. The thumbnail for the group would work with any of these MOCs, with it being a square (and the thumbnail for the group is really the most important thing, cause it draws viewers). However, cropping any of these MOCs doesn't seem to make a huge difference, just a marginal one at best. And I'm sure Tufi will make it work, regardless of the winner
  9. If you're getting a Pokemon game, X & Y is best (I prefer Y myself). And some of the new features allow you to get the hang of how the games work. It's a real improvement. Black and White 2 is also really really good, but X & Y is superior. You can always just get emulators for the DS games (Platinum, B&W, B&W2).
  10. So, I made this in around 2 hours for BBC 66. The weather has been pretty bleak and rainy recently, so sorry for fairly bad photography. (Click for enlarged picture)Gallery (When Public) BackAlternate View Flickr In my limited time, I panicked and to make something for the contest. The only idea I had was some sort of parasite. So I went ahead and began working on this, using trans-green was really fun :3 Throughout the process, I just tried to design the MOC to be pretty creepy. I wanted to feel a bit unpleasant with the idea of having this in my head, poking at my brain. So the idea of the thorns and tentacles really fit that motif. And the touch of red also does the trick. The MOC fits within the system-to-technic ratio as well. And the tentacles are held in place with some tires, that surprisingly fit in the tanks and provided enough friction needed to hold the dino-tails. The tail is fairly mobile, but I did not move it around a whole lot, mainly because it was not very photogenic from a few angles. C&C appreciated.
  11. Entry Name: Mechanical Neural ParasiteEntry Link: Here I literally made this in an hour, and it's too dark to take proper photos. So I'll add improved ones sometime soon.
  12. So since the linking policy is now a bit more open, I can finally recommend to you guys this awesome Facebook group called Piece Out. And btw, it isn't only for Bionicle MOCs. We accept all types of LEGO building. Many members here on BZP are in the group, so there might be some familiar faces there We also aren't asking you to reveal personal info, you can make a duplicate Facebook account and not have to reveal your real identity. As a few of our members already do. Here it is. It's 100% appropriate, no swearing or inappropriate content is allowed. Its a group for C&C, fun, and LEGO related activities in general. We have contests and projects too! (And a skype group). We have 128 members at the moment, so it will always be lively! Hopefully some of you will take me up on my offer and join. =)
  13. Grammar is for the uneducated. Enjoy <3
  14. The final layer, the best layer. Glad you got to fixing it. More activity is always good <3
  15. You posted o: Anyways, as a MOC by itself its great. But making this without those hollow balljoints on hand, is shocking. You already know the legs (Outside of the hip/waist), could use some work. Not sure of how I feel about the arms, I like them, but I feel the holes in the brick piece aren't very good. Maybe if they were on the base of the blade, and you built something on top, using the holes, it could have worked better. But, overall, it isn't important. The shaping is superb, and that head is quite lovely <3And that hip area just furthers my envy, of you taking those parts before I was able to =(Great job bro!
  16. Well I originally meant it to mean "Force", but all the other possible meanings fit anyways, so I didn't mind. Thanks bro <3I'm glad you like the MOC. Yes, those tubes and such are magical :3Thank you! =D
  17. Thank you! The torso may be a stud big, but the main problem was the picture. The angle and the bending of the legs made the legs seem shorter than they really are =/ I understand your discomfort, I was against putting them too, but there wasn't really any alternative. Not to mention, it looked even worse because of the foot piece on the back being a millimeter too high. Yes, the right arm is indeed too thin, I just haphazardly put it together, since I was cutting it close to a deadline for a contest. I really wish I could have bulked it up a bit more. Thanks for the review, I appreciate it. Glad you like the MOC. Thanks! Thanks, I'll be making instructions for it eventually. Thank you. Glad you like it! It is a bit complex, I guess. I didn't do a good job in hiding it on the back view Thank you! Well, I'll be posting the head design, eventually. So that may help! But its basically made with lift arms, and ball-joints.
  18. It sure has been a while... Alternate Angle Back/Side Flickr So this is basically an alien hunter. Or something like that. C&C appreciated
  19. I would like to clarify that the piece is a prototype, so it actually isn't painted (And thank you for the vote).Anyways I self-voted, but I do think this poll will be extremely close. It sure is going to be fun to watch!
  20. Thumbnails? Pssh, Pat, no problemo Also yes, polls are up <33
  21. I voted for Aires, but Sectoid Mantodea is also a great entry to pick.
  22. I voted for Kuma-Akuma. But Lagerus and Leechman are the other notable entries here.
