  1. Then it will be a true pleasure to do business with likeminded capitalists.
  2. >hasn't seen the headline for the rrf Build mechs, then we'll talk.
  3. Onu is definitely a good place for homicide.
  4. IC: Gavarm filed his report and sat back to consider his downtime. He fingered a cigar as he thought. He very much wanted to see what was going on in the Koro. If HQ was any indication, there was real business going on. However, he questioned, holding the roll so as to light it, was that really his first priority? He closed his eyes. In his office, he could sense nothing passively. In this situation, what would Kol Uskey do? What would be Tarnok's first priority? What would Sulov Koskium invest his time in? How does a hero spend his free time? He rolled the cig. It wasn't just planning, it wasn't just philosophizing. It was ensuring that his city would be free in the future, regardless of what opportunities he or anyone else lost. Gavarm rose, lighting the cigar at last and setting it between his teeth. He wasn't resting on his laurels. He was going out there and making his home safe. And that started with his squadron. He left his office and started looking for Aar.
  5. She can't beer it?Kindly shut up.
  6. Sulov has. We can start a celebrity-endorsed temperance campaign.
  7. IC: Cero could only be glad Aridez was Cursed, and thus more resistant to the ensuing damage. As things were, the Reversal hit the Hippowdon's face with a ringing crack that shocked its jaws into relaxation. Cero froze for a second. Seeing that Aridez' greatest injuries were to his pride and apparent armor, though, he went on with increased confidence. "Fall back and Slack Off." The hippopotamus quickly stepped away from his enemy, comfortably settling into his stance. Though retreating to heal might seem like an opening, Cero guessed there wouldn't be much time to exploit it in a sandstorm whittling the enemy down. There was the possibility that he was direly wrong. He wasn't very knowledgeable of the species of his enemy, and he'd only fought against one trained foe before. However, the faith he'd just gained in himself and his friends reinforced his self-trust. Cero would roll the dice.
  8. IC: I nod. "I'll get people." Is that all?
  9. I sense a great TPK in the force.
  10. I run like a machine.
  11. In fact, in the BZPRPG, Stone has power over sand. It's an area of overlap with Crystal.
  12. IC: Onepu is quiet. That is good. I am tired. So I relax while he thinks. I drop a little exhaustion. When he speaks, I nod. In case we're right, I can't be tired.
  13. IC: I close the door and push aside the chair, kneeling. Time to report. "After Ta-Koro, I took the Dark Walk with one guard escort. In the nexus, I heard Joske Nimil endangered and found the source to be near the Vault. I had detected Thok in the Vault earlier, so I decided to extract him and proceeded, adding a friendly Lesterin to my force. "Hakann, the red Piraka, and six Rahkshi were in the chamber. Hakann's eyes were black and he carried a bag he had not worn in Ta-Koro, looking of the Vault. Leah and Reordin were hiding nearby. We agreed to ambush them with a pincer maneuver and make a distraction for Nimil. "We surprised them and dealt considerable damage to the Rahkshi, minor injury to Hakann." I remember my shot. The blood on his leg. And his grin. "Then the green one spoke from the Vault. Four more Rahkshi came from the Abettor's level while Joske escaped. We played safe and retreated." I make sure I am not moving. "My conclusions: Hakann had six Rahkshi to start, so we must assume Piraka each have six;only he and the green one acted, so the others are elsewhere. Thok is near. "Thok and six Rahkshi are here. Others likely. "Ergo, Onu is a Piraka objective." No more words.

Someone's been a very bad boy.

So, if it's fine in the context's reality, I can appreciate it.

I'm far from ignorant of that idea, but I don't put any stock in it. My disbelief is not suspended by awesomeness; rather, it is suspended by things that make sense, even if they only could make sense in the world of their work. Awesomeness is fine so long as it gels well with reality.

If it was really awesome, it would make sense. And when it does make sense to dual-wield swords, odds are they're not katana. I don't see Roronoa Zoro in action. I don't watch One Piece.
  18. IC: Others stared at the problem and tried to find its disturbing relevance. Gyn had seen more of the darkness than them, looked unto the abyss and cut it into his laurels, so his concern was not with evil but the reaction to it. Particularly, he was focused on the reaction of an athletic Le-Matoran bearing the rank of colonel in the Ussalry. Leli hadn't made one. Since the fight, he remembered, she had been unresponsive and silent. Such a shame, he thought. He had a lot riding on her first real performance. To salvage Leli had required him to risk his identity; to truly invest in her had required untold resources--and all this for a woman he met by chance. But he saw a splendid potential in her and brought her to the brink of valor. Perhaps next time, he'd leave her pretty face where he found it so she could sit in that little gutter and bleed out. "Dalrin," he murmured, turning to his subordinate, "a word, if you will."
  19. when people dual-wield katana
  20. Note also that the Ussalry is on alert due to its knowledge of nearby Piraka.
  21. IC: "Crunch." Cero thought: good so far. Aridez thought: why do they always come from above? He'd been ruminating on this for a while, he noted. It had all started when Viajero--back before Viajero was Viajero, that was to say, when he was but the generic hyperactive, yipping fool--had jumped on him with an Ice Fang. Then, Aridez remembered, Leviathan had tried to stomp on him. Now this weirdo-tusk-dragon-thing was doing some funky ballet at his face. Aridez didn't get it. He could understand a dance or two, because running was fun and dancing was close enough; he could see why Leviathan wouldn't attack him at his level, because its size was too great (though it really should've tried). But what kind of self-respecting legged Pokémon would willingly leave the stability and comfort of his those Arceus-given limbs to attack another who showed true devotion to the good earth? He inhaled sharply, fury rising in his belly with a warmth he had never felt. What gave them the right to defy the way of things? He threw open his jaws and bared his teeth. What made this puny flying lizard-wannabe think he could be insolent to a true hippo and get away with it? Aridez saw red. He roared, blasting sand towards his enemy, and snapped his suddenly-massive jaws towards the descending dragon. OOC: Evolution means there's a new profile for this bad boy (approved by Blade). Nickname: Aridez Species: Hippowdon Trainer: Cero Gender: Male Appearance: Aridez is a Hippowdon of unusually great quantities of sand. Grains passively sit in his skin and ooze from him as he moves. He has many small scars on his back, but his most prominent marks are frostbite scars on his feet from the battle against Leviathan. However, his eyes command the most attention of his features: wide and carmine, they are always scanning their environment with a fiery gaze. Personality: Aridez' evolution brought his pride to new heights, giving him a choleric temperament and warping his easygoing ways into the ferocity of an adult hippopotamus. In spite of this confidence, though, he is largely unsure of his role and unused to such a colossal body. His sand often serves to communicate as much as his body and verbal languages in its activity. Specialty: Aridez' great body has made him tough, strong and even a little fast. His experience and quantity of sand, combined, also provide him with an effective "second skin" of sand to further increase his endurance; they additionally intensify his Sand Stream. However, Aridez isn't yet used to his abundance of sand, nor his body, and so is maladroit. His speed is also hindered by his clumsiness. Hail and Rain also batter his greater quantity of sand to the ground, decreasing its usefulness. Ability: Sand Stream Known Moves: Earthquake, Slack Off (egg move), Crunch, Ice Fang (replacing Revenge), Curse (egg move), Sand Tomb (replacing Double-Edge) EXP: 7
  22. IC: I nod and pet Ruwe a hello. "We need to talk privately. Where?"
