  1. I was never really active on the MSPA forums, what were people freaking out over about Vriska? I know she was a pretty polarizing character at some points, but I'm guessing this was something more than that. Just curious lol.
  2. Although I am fond of a good debate, I agree with most of what's been said already. And I've seen a number of threads recently that have just been about "tired of seeing people speak ill of G2, let's be positive about it" or whatever. Which is fine in and of itself, of course, but they're getting kind of redundant. Also, I don't know if comparing G2 to G1 is that great of an idea. As Regitnui said, G2 is still pretty early on in its lifespan, so we can't fully know what it's going to be like yet, and more importantly, I don't think comparing the two is the best way to go about all this. They're very different, after all, so why not let them be their own things? It's not like G2 is going to "ruin" G1 for anyone or something, we still have G1 in its media and sets and stuff. We can like or dislike G2 on its own merits without comparing it to something that most of us already have very good memories and nostalgia for.
  3. Incredibly organized. Painstakingly organized. Something I've found handy for keeping pieces in are plastic takeout Chinese food containers. They're about 4.5"x7" and maybe 2" deep, which seems to be a pretty good size, and they stack well. I also have some "bead organizers" or whatever that I use to keep some of my smaller pieces in. This kind of thing. I store pieces in all sorts of containers and cases and stuff, but those are probably the more notable examples.
  4. Personally, I'd look on eBay for "bionicle lot" or something like that. Buy a few pounds, and that should give you enough material to do plenty of MOCing. Usually when I build a MOC I don't really have any specific goal of what I'm trying to make, I just mess around with the pieces I have and try to come up with non-standard ways of using them. After that, the MOC kind of builds itself, in a way. Looking at other people's MOCs and even some of the official combiner models can give you inspiration as well. You can see something there and be like "huh, I've never thought of using that piece that way".
  5. The Stereolab Space Age Bachelor Pad Music EP, specifically We're Not Adult Oriented. First time listening to this band (found the CD at a local thrift store) and I'm really liking it.
  6. Finally finished the first in the Hitchhiker series. I loved it, it had a great blend of comedy, satire, philosophy, and genuinely pretty awesome stuff. I've started the second already, and am looking forward to seeing how all of this plays out. I'm also still making my way, slowly but surely, through Crime and Punishment. I mostly just listen to the audiobook when I'm taking a shower, so it will probably be a long while before I finish it (seeing as how each tape is about 90+ minutes long and there are 14 tapes). Enjoying the way that story is going as well, and I really like Dostoyevsky's writing style.
  7. -snip-The second one, I think. You don't need to do it if you don't want/it will be a lot of work, of course. I'll still enjoy it if you do, though. Would you like it expanded or enlarged? Also have you got an idea of the dimensions of your screen? If not then is it wide screen or regular? I'll see what I can do. ~Soran Either way, whichever is easiest for you. My screen is 1280x800.
  8. BOOTY BOOTY BOOTY ROCKIN EVERYWHERE

  9. Holy cow, this is awesome. Totally the kind of thing I'd do if I had the pieces for it. I hadn't thought about it before, but I think this is one reason I really liked the Tohunga in early Bionicle - even though they were from the same Koro, they had different color schemes.
  10. Glad you like it. Those are actually the highest resolution I have of them, they're the size of the panels I use for my comic. I could potentially redraw it in a larger resolution, which one is your favorite? ~Soran The second one, I think. You don't need to do it if you don't want/it will be a lot of work, of course. I'll still enjoy it if you do, though.
  11. Really like the first two in particular. Do you think you could post higher definition versions? I think I'd like to set one of them as the desktop background on my computer.
  12. I have all of my sets assembled and on shelves, arranged by element and chronological release. They gather dust a lot of the time tbh
  13. There's a really obscure electronic/drum and bass group from the 90's called Pro>Tech that released an album called Orbiting Cathedrals. I always thought a lot of the songs fit Bionicle very well. Trentemøller also has some songs that would be good with Bionicle, in particular Miss You. Glitch Mob is great as always as well, of course. Also lol Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima seems a little extreme for Mangaia. (I do love that piece, though. Check out Iannis Xenakis if you want to hear other pieces like that.
  14. Ooh, thanks. Others have made similar lists, but it's cool that you've put in some links and stuff to make it more immediately available.
  15. I can play chanter pretty well, and guitar and ukulele decently. I don't play any of them very frequently, though.
  16. OH NO I OPENED THAT SPOILER BY ACCIDENT Marvin was introduced pretty recently where I am in the first book. I gotta stop my auto-spoiler-open reflex.
  17. I find it more than slightly amusing that you joined post-April Fool's. XP
  18. I dunno if there can really be crucial "spoilers" for a story that's been around for over a millennium, haha. (Besides, from what I remember of the story, those spoilers don't really ruin much besides confirming what you'd predict to happen anyway.)
  19. Absolutely love the sets, and I'm happy that Bionicle has returned in some form. I just don't really like the form it came back as.
  20. Honestly, I'm mostly fine with loose ends, I just hope he handles the epilogue well, not just brief "so that's how it ended" scenes.
  21. UH WHAT Loved Act 7, but yeah, there were loose ends. I think he meant to end it that way, but, yeah...
  22. I'm rather divided on them. I guess it depends on what they are. Like, if it makes sense for them to all be almost identical, and if in-story there were tons of each of them, such as the Bohrok. With the Bohrok you could buy one (or more) of each, and it's not like having duplicates of a Toa or something. You can have a whole horde of Bohrok and it looks awesome. So I think it's somewhat lazy design-wise, but still has its place if handled well.
  23. Or you could just connect your computer to the TV and stream it illegally for free. Not that I... do that or anything.
  24. Oh dang, I feel like there was a thread like this a long time back. I didn't have any useful facts then, and I don't now. Well, I'll go with this; chocolate contains two stimulants (caffeine and theobromine), a cannabinoid (anandamide), and a precursor/chemical related to MDMA (phenylethylamine).
