  1. IC ZharukI heard a cry for a medic. Leaving that matoran the ground, I headed over to the hut. As my feet walked over, my mind was still thinking about her. Then I pushed those thoughts out. "You'd never have a chance with her," I said to myself. "In fact, I don't believe any of the ladies on the island would want you once they find out who you really are." I entered the hut.
OOC: That's me?IC: Kiron and SulkuaKiron saw the medic."Thanks. He's quite injured, but the most immediate danger is the spikes embedded in his arm joints. Could you get it first? I think he can handle the other injuries on his own, so you can get back to other casualties."
  2. IC: Kiron and Sulkua- Pala-Koro -Kiron peeled his head out of the hut. The fighting had died down. The village lay in ruins, with most of the buildings in flames. The FoM retreated, northwards in Kini-Nui's direction.Kiron helped the battered Sulkua up. They limped out of the hut. There were several others rushing around. Most of them were healers rushing back and forth."Medic! I have a seriously injured Toa here!" Kiron shouted. It was quite an understatement. Sulkua's armour was completely cut through in a dozen places, his arm armour had little fragments stuck to them, and there were spikes still half-embedded in his shoulder and elbow joints. He was bleeding organic fluids in those places, and he was half-unconscious. And his longsword was broken in two.OOC: All these are descriptions in case anyone wants to heal him. If no one responds in a day or so, I will summon an NPC to help.

  3. Ic: Kiron and SulkuaKiron dragged the bleeding Sulkua into a burned-out hut. He ripped some fabric from his pack and staunched some of the more open wounds."I just... need... some Ele...Elem...Elemental Energy..." Sulkua mumbled. His armour joints were all torn apart and his inside tissues were bleeding.Kiron absorbed the heat from a puddle of nearby water. He regained some Elemental Energy, and Sulkua absorbed the frozen puddle. Some of the wounds stopped bleeding, but some were still open.OOC: Am I right that EE somewhat corresponds to level of healing, or something like Nokama said in one of the earlier Bionicle Adventures books? And I will be offline until next Thursday whereabouts, so do not expect a reply if you interact with my two Toa until then. Happy playing.:)

  4. IC: SulkuaSulkua gritted his teeth as the blood rushed into the spots. He was bleeding from his shoulders, fingers and every joint. and a gigantic blast of pain crushed his consciousness. He blacked out.IC: KironKiron rushed towards Sulkua and dragged him into a hut. Sulkua's armour was chipped and scratched all over, and his Longsword was broken. His joints were bleeding from the metallic "needles" inserted. His left arm and body hae random pieces of extra metal, and ice fragments hung off his cracked mask.

  5. OOC: What the? I was thinking of needle-y stuff too. Well, to answer your query, Nah, this one seems legit.IC: SulkuaThe split second the illusions disappeared, Sulkua brought his creation to bear. The Elemental Energy formed a spike from below Aurum's feet, ready to impaled him at speeds Aurum could not dodge. Even worse, the spike had little small potrusions on its sides as too.The moment Sulkua sent it flying, the needles extended, breaking Sulkua's armoured and pushing into his biological components. He screamed in pain and fell on his knees, trying to comprehend the pain as his vision was ringed with red.He crawled slowly away from Aurum, still holding on to his sword.

  6. IC: SulkuaSulkua grinned inside.Bad move, Fe-Toa, he thought. The problem with having your opponent's weapon stuck on you was that he had a direct outlet of power into your body.Sulkua let his EE flow into his Longsword, freezing the shoulder joint. Any movementwould shatter the armour. And Sulkua did so. By resisting enough force broke the shulder armour... and the front third og his sowrd.

  7. Isn't life just like that? Most of the time in the BZPRPG, most do not affect the plots, but you can get caught in it, and cross your fingers. Or...You could get Daedra Syndrome and get out of Kumu Is. now.None of you saw that. And remember, it IS possible to survive it. Remember, you determine how the pub/inn/shanty falls on your character, so you could say you escaped from the ruins with a broken pinkie... and a fractured arm.

  8. OOC: The mask only makes fake VISUAL illusions, right?? No audio aids. And is the slash a bit auto-hitting?IC: SulkuaSulkua turned around when the Aurums attacked. He knew that only one of them was real, and there were details a Mahiki could not replicate, mainly sounds. He closed his eyes as the onrushin Aurums charged. He heard sounds of explosions and steel clashing on iron... and quick, deliberate steps from the back.Sulkua whirled as the sword struck. It bit halfway into his back right thigh armour, but it cut through due to Aurum's twisting motion. Sulkua turned and stabbed above Aurum's guard as he had slashed downward.

  9. I've been reading this over, giving it some thought, and I think I'm going to put in my two cents.I'm new. I'll fully admit that. But in my short time here, I will say that yes, I'm having fun. It's a nostalgia trip for me, and I'm loving that. I've met cool people. Nice people. I've got an arc going on my own, doing my own thing, but I'm fine with that. And I've entertained the idea of possibly joining one of the ongoing plots in some way. But the thing is, I don't want to. I've come to a realization. To quote the Heavy's "Short Change Hero":"This ain't no place for no hero. This ain't no place for no better man. This ain't no place for no hero, to call home."Did anyone ever consider that?I look around, and I see the villains ready to destroy the Kumu Isles and prepare to wage war on Mata Nui, and leave nothing alive. I see the herald of Makuta, invincible to anything or anyone. And there's just one thing missing: heroes. But where are they? Defeated, destroyed. Dead. Or busy with a battle in Le-Koro. Or absent entirely. Their actions mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. The villains are center stage. And the heroes are nowhere to be found. The heroes died with the Toa Mata.I'm a writer. I love stories. And call me idealistic if you want, but stories should have heroes, not just villains. And heroes that will fight to the bitter end to protect their beliefs, to protect what they cherish. I don't see that happening here. I just see a permanent "darkest hour", where the villains are given free reign. This plot EW created is the kind of plots I love. It has the ultimate stakes and fearsome villains. It's got that threat that makes it something worth looking into, even with the radical change to the status quo. It's the kind of plot that stories are meant to have. However, it's missing a key component. The heroes.Where are the heroes? The brave Toa, Turaga, Skakdi, Vortixx, Matoran, etc, that will stand up and fight? The ones that would put aside their differences to fight against a horde that threatens their very existence? They're either non-existent or worse: treated as a nothing more than an ant that can be crushed under a boot without a thought.A story should never be the villains' show. The heroes need their time to shine. To have their Crowning Moments of Awesome. To show that yes, even in the darkest hour, when evil has everything, that heroes can triumph. The villains can still be powerful. They can still be a threat. I don’t want to see villains acting idiotic or having great big holes in their plans that the heroes can easily counter. But villains aren’t interesting if they’re invincible to everything the heroes throw at them. They need a weakness, and if it takes a thousand dead heroes to finally find that weakness and have the 1001st hero slay the villain, then the story has succeeded. A bittersweet ending where the heroes succeed is better than an ending where the villain wins because nobody could stand up to his/her invincibility because the plot gave him/her plot armor.Give us a reason to fight. To get out of this darkness-induced apathy. It's something I've seen in the RPG, not just this upcoming plot. Give the heroes a chance to shine. To make it something viable to play as.Say EW's plot goes through. Say Xa-Koro is destroyed, and then Aurelia wages her war of genocide across Mata Nui and nothing can stand against her wrath. All hope seems lost.I would stand. Against innumerable odds, I would stand against the dark, gather an alliance of anything I could, and fight until my very last breath. They'd say it's suicide, and surrender is the only option. And I would PROVE. THEM. WRONG. Why?Because I still believe in heroes. And heroes should always have a chance. Even if it's a trillion to one.
I feel like crying for some reason. Finally, another person who will not submit to helplessness. This was so touching. I think I used the right word.
  10. So pretty much you guys are complaining that you couldn't be part of the big plot that EW asked if you wanted to be part of ages ago, and now that it's started you're all being whiny? What's done is done, you guys don't need to complain any more.Besides, explosions.
What he said.I understand that JL and others are angry because there was no big invitation to join in, but remember, if EW HAD done so, it would ruin the purpose of the destruction, right? So what's done is done, and since your characters can't meta-game away, move on. And besides, since it is Nuju-approved, the plot obviously has some sort of relevance. And I think Nuju said your characters don't have to perish along with the Kumu ISLets, so what is the argument for? Soz, just had to put my two cents in. So let us all embrace in friendship. Figuratively, 'coure.
  11. IC: SulkuaSulkua cursed himself for being such an cool dude when the metal cast wrapped around his legs. Worse, multiple Aurums jumped down all over. The real one struck his twisted shoulder. Sulkua screamed out but ignored as best he could and channelled his anger into a single blast of ice onto his feet. The plant froze and Sulkua lashed out, his left fist shattering the plant. He was weakened but did not care. He had made a vow to protect Mata-Nui from evil, and Followers of Makuta sure classified as that. Sulkua formed a makeshift cast on his right shoulderand shifted the Longsword to his left hand. He turned and saw the Aurum that had struck him standing a couple of metres away, smirking to himself. Sulkua raised his Blizzard Longsword and stood at guard position.IC: KironKiron saw that the winged Toa(whom he vaguely remembered at the gate battle) stop the chase. He saw that Sulkua was surrounded by multiple illusions of Aurum and he had a battered right arm. Kiron wanted to help but he knew... he was not the best swordfighter and Aurum had a certain knack for turning Sulkua and Kiron's attacks to each other, cancelling out.

  12. Instead of getting absorbed, Teridax decides to attack Takanuva straight away. Matoro saves his life(so he still becomes a hero) and Takanuva incinerated Teridax. However, more Rahkshi poured in and demolished the remainder of the Toa. Takanuva stays long enough to kill them all but he scrifices his control over darkness to do so.Makuta Teridax's attack on Metru Nui at the end of the story.

  13. IC: KironKiron turned and saw the hardlight. He knew he could change the direction of his dash in time, so he ducked and rolled. One of the bullets missed, another scratched his mask while the last struck his sword. Kiron absorbed the heat again, and ran towards one of the huts.IC: SulkuaSulkua cursed himself for not removing the dagger. However it was too late now. With Aurum distracted, he tried to sent waves of cold into the metal. But the metal was coming into existence faster than it froze. Sulkua looked around and saw the ground far below. He braced himself and jumped. He twisted his body so he was falling right-side first. He hit the ground hard. The metal absorbed the impact mostly, but enough went through to shatter the frozen parts of the shell. (OOC: So the Cocoon is hollow)Sulkua withdrew his hand from the hollow cocoon and stood up. His shoulder felt twisted, but he had no choice but to ignore it for now..

  14. OOC: Remember Kiron has a fireball ready?IC: KironKiron turned when he felt the heat on his right hand. He pulled back in time so most of the light spheres missed, but the Scimitar had star ted to melt in the heat. Kiron absorbed the heat before the holes expanded further or the Scimitar completely turned to slag. He looked up at Shinn and shot the fireball at Shinn. He dashed towards SulkuaIC: SulkuaSulkua formed an ice shield and block all the daggers but one, which embedded in his right shoulder armour. He gave chase, leaping on to a piece of ruined wall rubble, and boosting himself on to a hut beside the hut Aurum leapt ont. Sulkua concentrated and launched a razor-sharp dagger at Aurum formed from Ice.

  15. IC: SulkuaSulkua stopped in his tracks. The petals we big enough to support his weight, and Sulkua jumped on one of them, using his weight to push off towards Aurum. He hit the ground and rolled to his feet, and pointed his Longsword at Aurum's path. He formed a hard chain of Ice on the floor and willed it to twirl around where Aurum's feet was.

  16. OOC: That sucked. Horribly. I guess this is what happens when you get two Toa of different elements(conflicting, rather) to fight against one guy. Anyways, what is the estimated level of EE of the three Toa?IC: "Hang back, we can't be cancelling each other out. Absorb some fire and replenish your Elemental Energy," Sulkua told Kiron."Right," Kiron absorbed the heat around him while Sulkua gave chase towards the Toa of Iron.Sulkua concentrated. The remaining fires outside of Kiron's absorbing radius gave off a bright glow, and the ground was illuminated well enough. He saw footsteps on the soil and grass a few metres ahead of him, heading off towards his right. Sulkua ran straight ahead, pretending to be duped by another illusion.

  17. IC: SulkuaSulkua fconcentrated and formed snow from the heavy moisture in the jungle air. The snow should fall and blanket over the area, so Aurum's body would be covered in snow, thereby showing him to be visible.

  18. IC: Kiron and Sulkua"Yow!""Now!"Kiron shot the fireball up and exploded into flares.Sulkua turned and used.the momentum to knock the spike away.Kiron watched as the flares lit up the sky... and the ground... except for a certain silhouette that did not stay lit up."I spot an odd...""It's him!" Sulkua shouted and dashed for the silhouette, ready to avoid any spike-traps again.Kiron gave chase, readying another firebal in his left hand. He, however, ran to the side, hooking around the silhouette..

  19. IC: Kiron and SulkuaKiron enlarged and helped Sulkua cut the chains. Kiron was about to charge at Aurum when Sulkua stopped him."Ready a fireball. It could be an illusion."With that said, Sulkua drew his Longsword and slowly walked to the Toa of Iron.OOC: Does Aurum need to constantly adjust himself to the surroundings, or is it just an automatic camouflage system?
