  1. IC: Zakaro (Engineering, with Virse) "Indeed," he replied, pausing to speak before turning his attentions to the waiting pohato. After a few moments, the Onu-Toa turned back to Virse and spoke again. "We are lucky to have beings that can create food. Otherwise, we'd be left with rations and cans."
  2. IC: Zakaro (Engineering, with Virse) "Not at all," he replied warmly, almost seeming to smile. He didn't, though. Not yet. There would be time later for smiling, now was not the time. The Onu-Toa strode over to the set-up of the various tables and grills and such assortments, glancing things over before selecting a baked pohato and adding on some of the various spices. Adding a water bottle and half of a loaf of bread to his plate, he nodded towards the Steltian in charge in gratitude before stepping back and waiting for Virse, taking a bite out of his bread while he waited.
  3. do i like metroid too much? the answer is no

  4. IC: Nisadeff (Trophy Hall, with I.F. and Asi) The Toa-sized Matoran shrugs in response, stepping forward a little bit to place herself well within Asi's personal space, tilting her head innocently. "Mmhmm, yep. Toa does indeed not know how to have fun. Hypothesis confirmed~" IC: Zakaro (Engineering, with Virse and Olari) "Sounds good," he replied before turning towards the Engineering Sector. As he walked, he noticed the footsteps of Virse behind him and turned to see her, raising an eyebrow and speaking. "Ho, there. Friend of Olari's, are you?"
  5. IC: Nisadeff (Trophy Hall, with I.F. and Asi) "Oh, you're just too focused on the end result," the petite Matoran giggled, her mask glowing as her form shifted upwards to assume what seemed to be a general approximation of what Nisadeff would look like as a Toa. Sauntering over to Asi, she leaned forward to fix him with a stare while she smirked, deliberately placing a finger on her lip as if questioning him. "Don't you know how to have a little fun? Besides, Kuolema gets to save them all in the end. No harm with paying a little respect to Pelko or Kurjuus along the way. Fear, Misery, Plague, War... simply means to the true act of the savior, Death." IC: Sevyn (Engineering, with Zephyr) The Steltian snapped it up with a finger and thumb and looked it over, sniffed it and quickly ran through a few decisions in his head, before nodding. "This could add a nice undertone, indeed. A fine idea, and a fine fruit as well. No harm in trying, at the least." With an expert hand, the berry was dropped into the bowl with the skin and the juice, and the entire thing was quickly ground together and then applied to one of the Steaks, while the rest were moved to a separate plate for the time being. With a few more seconds on the grill, it was ready. Nimbly, Sevyn cut off a small section of it, stabbed it with a toothpick, and then sampled it. "Hm. Not bad, not bad at all. I do believe that berry made a difference." IC: Zakaro (Engineering, with Olari and co.) The purple-masked Toa opened his eyes once more to meet Olari's, and what might be considered, at the least, not a frown crossed his face. Perhaps a smile if you were to stretch it, squint, and tilt your head just right. "Do you now?" he rumbled, voice heavy with the last dredges of sleep before he cleared his throat and returned to his normal tones. "I'd hope you'd allow me to at least grab a bite to eat before we proceed, sister? Assuming, at least, that you do not need me simply to lift another of those crates off the shelf."
  6. too lazy to illuminati my way to the true answer sorry guys, we'll have to rely on luck today therefore because lazy, last person to vote voted for.... tirigath therefore i vote for tirigath because lazy zak is lazy sorry for not being sorry for being lazy
  7. IC: Zakaro (Wailing Cliffs) The sun was setting. At least for the Wailing Cliffs, the sun seemed to be setting. Rather, the better way to say it would be that the area was getting darker. Sun was a relative term, one of those things that may or may not exist simply due to the spooky nature of this entire island. Also, none of the GMs had said anything about it, so that might've also been a factor. He couldn't see any others. That was too bad. With a final glance, Zakaro pulled his sword out of the sand and trudged inside, his powers easily closing the path behind him with a rumbling sequence of moving ground. Blinking at the electronic lights, Zakaro turned to the earth-covered doorway and moved to the side, rolling a slab of rock over it with a bit of help from the Pakari. Once that was completed, he was free to lean on it and close his eyes for a few seconds, slumping to the ground. He couldn't let himself sit down while out on the Wailing Cliffs. Zakaro already had to make a focused effort to ignore the sensations from the ground beneath his feet when he was outside. There were many things buried on the Wailing Cliffs, and not all were restful. Especially at night. "Glad that's over," he muttered, sighing and relaxing for a few more seconds. Food could wait. IC: Bajets (Outside Engineering, with Halken and Ilyin) With a final crunch, the golden-armored Skakdi finished her leafy meal and leaned back, taking a moment to relax before speaking again. "You boys ready to go find Ilyin some new toys?" IC: Sevyn (Engineering, with Zephyr) "Asear? Can't say I've heard of them," Sevyn commented, fetching some of the aforementioned fruits which he began to juice into a bowl of the berry peels. As he spun around to check on another of his various projects, he spoke again. "Did you happen to bring any with you, or shall I see if I can procure any from my apron?" IC: Astaer (Engineering, with Kale's Comrades) The transparent Korumine stood to a side, almost awkwardly. It goes without saying that while she was keeping track of the current events, her social skills-or rather lack of-were preventing her from doing much more than standing by the wayside, observing. IC: Ajiseni (Engineering) Aji was eating. That was about it. She had completed a scouting mission earlier in the day-"Nothing of note, other than what we've already seen: dead trees, huge mountains, and that weird old city,"-and she was hungry. Such was life. At least it was simple, eh?
  8. IC: Nisadeff (Trophy Hall, with I.F. and Asi) "Oh, I wouldn't call it entertainment. At least, not entertainment for them." And the petite Matoran giggled. IC: Sevyn (Engineering, with Zephyr) "Ah, this? Well, currently I have some Kane-Ra Steaks on the grill, and with this fresh supply of fruits I'm going to use the skin of the Aowe Berry here plus some of the Coilk Fruit's juice to marinate the Steaks for a fresh, tropical style that wouldn't be out of place on the Southern Islands. Over there is a Muaka Stew with Pual Beans and Rikorn Grains, and lastly is the simple, yet classic Chef's Salads which are in constant development on that table." As he spoke, the Steltian Chef continued his work, placing the Aowe Berry to the side in favor of taking its peel and dicing that into even smaller pieces. He accented each ingredient with either a gesture or pulling the named thing from the basket or his apron, allowing Zephyr to physically see exactly what he was talking about.
  9. IC: Nisadeff (Trophy Hall, with I.F.) Her call echoed for a few moments off the walls as Nisadeff pouted and put her hands on her hips, glancing around for the Herald of Death. Without a sign as to where he went, the psychotic cultist just sighed and bit her lip. "Guess he's not here. That's saaadd. Too baaad, soo saaad, now I can't go and make Kuolema glad! What a rhyme, what a time, what a fine line of a dime! Don't know where I'm goin', don't care where I've been, anndd I'm out of words. Dang, and I was goin' pretty well too! It's always easier when you're singing to someone you're about to free, there's just something so inspiring in that look of incomprehension and delicious fear before they're saved..." Another sigh, this one not of exasperation but rather wistfulness as Nisadeff trailed off into dreams and memories of her various savings of the poor beings left in the dark of the great deities.
  10. IC: Sevyn (Engineering, (most definitely not cuddling) with Zephyr) "That somehow does not surprise me," the Steltian replied, taking a glance into the basket and selecting a fruit, which he promptly began to peel. "This entire island is unnatural, at least in comparison to the typicality of the ones I and I assume you hail from. The entire island seems to be strangely suited to this Cult in all honesty, catering to its very sects. Of course, it's certainly possible that the sects developed because of the landscape, but it seems equally possible that the landscape was changed to suit the Cult's needs." He blinks, pauses and speaks again. "My, how philosophical of me! I suppose you do learn quite a bit being a bartender, or rather the chef, waiter, and owner all in one. My apologies for rambling, I didn't intend to take up your time. Will that be all for now?"
  11. IC: Sevyn (Engineering, with Zephyr) "Ah, a most delightful token of your kindness, Toa Zephyr!" Sevyn said, turning to regard the Toa and his ego with a spin and slight bow. The Steltian couldn't say he appreciated having to treat Zephyr like the king of the universe, but it certainly got him on the Toa's good side. As the two of them were responsible for all the food that wasn't more preservatives than actual true food, Sevyn had been forced to work more closely with Zephyr than he would've preferred. "Anything in particular I should take note of today, or perhaps you wish for a meal?" IC: Nisaduf (Engineering, cuddling with Riss) Nisaduf was asleep. However, shipping knows no bounds. It therefore wasn't surprising when the Matoran began to dream as well, helped along by the blooming scent of sizzling Kane-Ra Steak. (Sevyn had just put a few on the grill, and the smell was doing its best to fill the entire room despite the volume.) One of her hands rose up, to be exact it was the one sprawled across Riss's stomach, and it felt around until it finally barely reached around Riss's side to find her free arm. That arm was promptly made unfree as Nisa's hand trailed down it to Riss's fingertips, before attempting to interlace its own fingers with Riss's. And Nisaduf slept on, a little smile on her face, as the faint smells of Kane-Ra Steak formed the images of a table for two at a little steakhouse, with hands reaching across the table to interlock their fingers...
  12. IC: Nisadeff (Trophy Hall, with I.F.) "Iiii-dunno! I bet Tuoni would know, though, he's the Herald! Kuolema talks to him or something like that and then Tuoni tells us what toooo do! I wonder where he is, anyway? Oh, Tuuuoooniii, arreee you hom-ieeeee?" IC: Sevyn (Engineering) Sevyn was feeling quite overworked. He was the current main food supply, at least for fresh things. ("Canned fruit! Ma-dam, I do not work with canned fruit. I only work with the freshest of ingredients!") As a result, Sevyn was now the entirety of the Food Court for all the fighters. Unless they wanted to eat out of cans, which were somewhere in storage that Sevyn didn't even bother to find because they were below his sight. ("I don't even let myself glance upon those over-preservative-using metallic containers of cheap high-fructose corn syrup'd slices of what might be mistaken for fruit at first glance, thank-you!") That wasn't to say he hadn't set up shop. Numerous tables were set up around the area, all relatively filled with food of various cultures and classiness, ranging from Styrofoam containers of take-out to fine china tea-cups, tea included. Sevyn himself had a semicircle of an oven, stove, microwave ("Even the pros appreciate the sheer power for heating things up!"), sink, and various other things that need not be mentioned in specific because honestly, this whole set-up will get forgotten and somehow magically never be mentioned again once Sevyn leaves to go questing or something. And that was what Sevyn, the Protosteel Chef and Bionifight competitor, had spent all his time on thus far over the last two weeks. ("What, you think it's easy to get a oven out of this thing? Look at the size of this pocket! It's a miracle I didn't have to restitch it!") "Fresh platter of fried Takea, hot n' ready!" OOC: Sevyn is open for interaction, if anyone's feeling a bit peckish.
  13. IC: Zakaro (Wailing Cliffs, Entrance to the Facility, with Kopen and Turbo) Once, he would have burst out laughing at the sight of Turbo saluting, when combined with her words. Now, though, all he did was smile softly and return the salute, clanking his hand against the brow of his mask. He let the duo pass him and turned his attention back to the endless expanse of tombs and dirt. It was a morose place, Zakaro decided. Not all that exciting, just dull and sad.
  14. boat one will henceforth call our null Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen no ehks you get no say in this
  15. yay boats boats are cool what does boats do
  16. IC: Nisaduf (Engineering, cuddling with Riss) There were no more words spoken. That was more than fine with Nisaduf, who snuggled into Riss and promptly fell asleep as well, though due to her exhaustion her sleep was sadly dreamless and dark. And so she slept, feeling warm and safe for the first time in a very long time. Two weeks, to be exact. IC: Bajets (Outside Engineering, with Halken and Ilyin) She didn't bother to reply this time, simply turning her full attention to her salad. Things could be said later. IC: Zakaro (Wailing Cliffs, speaking with Kopen and Turbo) "I'd say that would suffice!" Zakaro replied, lowering his voice as the duo approached. They were fighters, indeed. He hadn't yet met a cultist that could shut up long enough about their gods of pain and suffering to be anywhere near likely enough to talk their way in, and adding that to Zakaro's steadily increasing mental register of fighters made it all the tougher for a cultist to be able to sneak their way past the Onu-Toa. With that confirmation, Zakaro turned to the entrance and with a slight application of his earthen powers, a tunnel to the inside formed. "One door to the inside, just as ordered." IC: Nisadeff (Trophy Hall, with I.F.) "Awwww, thanks mister! It's nice to know that someone knows that I'm good at making words make sense! It's even better to know that the person that knows that I'm good at making sense of words is a person that I don't have to save immediately, since they have their own mission from Kuolema and/or Tuoni!" And the totally fine, not at all psychotic, insane, or mentally unstable Matoran grinned up at I.F. She liked this cloaked person. He had a nice sense of style, and a way with words.
  17. IC: Nisaduf (Engineering, cuddling with Riss) The Matoran yawned. She hadn't slept in a while, to be honest. Actually, the last time she had slept would've been... ah, yes. Passing out from exhaustion 2 days after Landfall. Since then, well... coffee was truly a blessing from Mata-Nui in that aspect. And it seemed Riss was feeling much the same, too. Nisaduf was more than okay with that. Feeling the lack of sleep finally starting to wear at her, Nisaduf snuggled her way into having a leg sprawling across Riss's waist, while the other molded itself to her side. One arm was flopped across Riss's ribcage, with the other forcing itself under the Sonic Toa's arm to cushion it as Nisa made herself even more comfortable. And then, for reasons unknown to even herself, Nisaduf rose slightly, smiling softly, and whispered to Riss. "...thanks, Riss." That wasn't the unknown part. No, the unexpected part was when Nisaduf leaned forward to gently kiss Riss's cheek and then returned to her original position, blushing and smiling and somehow not freaking out all at once. Probably helped that she was so tired. IC: Bajets (Outside Engineering, with Halken and Ilyin) "I could do with a backup dagger. Lost my good one going into this thing." That was all she said. What? It's not like Bajets is doing much more than eating and talking right now, gosh. Go read Nisa's part if you want action. IC: Nisadeff (Trophy Hall, with I.F.) "People say I'm good at putting things into words. Well I thiiiink they would, but they never stick around long enough for me to find out. Poor guys. It was my duty to my deity Kuolema that I save them, though. They weren't very talkative anyway. Kept complaining about my techniques, too. Man. You'd think people would appreciate hugs and kisses!" IC: Zakaro (Wailing Cliffs, sighting Turbo and Kopen) "HO THERE!" Zakaro called out, the beings he had seen before having approached near enough for him to see that yes, they were indeed a they, and not one mutant thing or a being and rider. He couldn't place their names at first sight, but Zakaro did recognize the wheeled being. They were fighters, that he could be reasonably sure of. "SEEKING ENTRANCE?"
  18. IC: Nisadeff (Trophy Hall, with I.F.) "It's easy! You're worshiping Kuolema, aren't-cha? Talking and praising and making death for the Deity of it!" Nisadeff chirped, jumping to her feet and tossing the illusionary sunglasses and jacket into nonexistance. She grinned sweetly up at the cloaked I.F. and bounced on her heels, cocking her head. "I certainly hope you are! If you weren't, I'd have to kill you! You know how it is, am I right?" IC: Bajets (Outside Engineering, with Halken and Ilyin) She shrugs noncommittally and speaks, before returning to her meal. "I can't disagree, though we'll need a metalworker." IC: Nisaduf (Engineering, cuddling with Riss) If Nisaduf was a psionics user, perhaps she would've realized what Riss was feeling, and totally agreed. As it was, however, all Nisaduf could really think was that Riss was surprisingly comfortable. Like, to lay on. What? She was... she wasn't just armor and bones, but didn't have flab either. She was muscular, but not so much that it was all you could feel. No, Riss was just right. Just comfy enough for Nisa, indeed. The Fe-Matoran relaxed, not even realizing that she had been a bit tensed up until that moment. Her lime eyes fluttered shut again, and a smile smile crept across her rusty lips. Riss was right. This was the nicest thing she'd had so far in this tournament.
  19. IC: Nisadeff (Trophy Hall, with I.F.) "Oh, pooooor thing! It's okay now, you're all better! You're free! Isn't that great!" I.F. would find his field of vision being invaded by a petite Matoran with silver eyes, who was lying on her back and had scooted herself over to where the Toa had been talking to the flower. She was intent upon a withered petal which she was rolling between a finger and her thumb, with a little more pressure it began to break apart and stain her fingers that same brilliant color. "It's broken, that's sad. Oh well! Hey! Hi! Hello! How ya doin'? I'm great, by the way, name's Nisadeff! Just call me Nisa, though, because I was once Nisaduf, with a d-u-f, and then I wanted to change to Nisadeath, because hey! Deity of Death, Kuolema, all praise, am I right? But they told me that was in appropriate so I went Nisadef, d-e-f, and then tossed on another f beeecaauuuu..." She pauses, focuses, and then plucks a nonexistant pair of sunglasses out of nowhere in particular and puts them on, before shrugging into an equally nonexistant leather jacket. "..uuussseeee I'm edgy! Not knife edgy though, sickle edgy! Curved and good with cutting throats from behind!"
  20. xae really i may be a type 2 sometimes but food is better than bloodshed actually what am i saying death to the murderersererersersreseresrase!
  21. IC: Nisaduf (Engineering, with Riss) Nisaduf didn't mind this at all. Nope, there was not one reason to dislike it, and a multitude of reasons to like it instead. Just for fun, we can even list them! One. Nisaduf had been sad, and hugs are great for becoming not-sad. Two. Hugs are also great for their soft, warm, and cuddly properties. Enjoyability is high. Three. Not only that, but she was spending time with Riss! Perhaps the best singer across the multiverse, super famous, amazingly cool, and Riss liked having Nisa around! Four. Riss was also quite attractive and as thus being in close contact was very nice. Wait. What? Nisaduf blinked. Where did that thought come from? Nevermind that. Too busy hug. The Fe-Matoran just sighed a contented sigh and pressed her face into Riss's body, smiling against the warmth. For the first time in two weeks, Nisaduf was content. Perhaps even happy. IC: Bajets (Outside Engineering, with Halken and Ilyin) "Your reflexes are unrivaled in all the immediate area, brother dear." Bajets said, not even bothering to look up from her salad. And no, she didn't say it drolly, nor sarcastically. If one truly needs a description of her tone, then think of it as if it was said like she was complementing him. About something totally insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Like saying your sibling is the best dish-washer in the kitchen, when they're the only one there. Moving on. The salad wasn't half bad. Better than she expected, considering she had watched some Steltian pull it out of his apron. Could use a little more pizza, but since that poor Shopkeeper had explodified along with the rest of the Commercial Sector Bajets had yet to find a suitable substitute. Any other 'pizza' didn't seem to deserve the name anymore. Bajets decided that she might be in withdrawal. That was a problem. Withdrawal isn't pretty. She knows that very well, she's had to deal with Halken being stuck inside for a month with his arms bound to his sides to prevent any fisticuffing of any sort. Needless to say and just for redundancy, it wasn't pretty.
  22. IC: Nisaduf (Engineering Sector, with Riss) Riss's words had an immediate effect upon the unsuspecting fangirl, whose mind promptly exploded into a whirling confusion over exactly what Riss had meant. She hadn't seen it coming, at all, and the result was a brilliant copper-tinted blush spreading from her cheeks, eyes flying open in shock. Nisaduf tried to ask what Riss meant, or even just reply that she felt the same. Sadly, the only noise the Matoran managed to produce was some varied spluttering with perhaps a few things that may or may not have been actual letters. IC: Zakaro (Wailing Cliffs) Ah. Someone, approaching quickly. Did he recognize those beings? Zakaro frowned and leaned forward on his sword, the point of which was stabbed into the unyielding ground, trying to identify the approaching beings. At least, he thought they were beings. Two of them. Was it two beings? One riding a vehicle? Some strange animal? Without changing his position, Zakaro brought his earthen powers to the surface, connecting with the surrounding terrain. If they were foe, Zakaro could more than easily manipulate the area to suit his needs. If they were friend, well, there was a reason the nearest entrance to the facility was currently covered by a very large, solid, pile of earth. That reason also happened to be related to why he was the one currently on duty. OOC: Zakaro spotting Turbo Vixen and Kopen. IC: Astaer (Engineering, w/ Kale's Group) She said nothing. That was unsurprising. She had yet to speak a single word since coming here, though other vocalizations weren't as uncommon. The Korumine simply stood and observed from a side, glancing behind herself out of habit every once in a while. Letting one's guard down was the beginning of their end. IC: Bajets (Outside Engineering, with Halken and Ilyin) "Food is served, boys." A golden-spined Skakdi sat herself a few feet beside her brother, passing over styrofoam take-out boxes to both her sibling and Ilyin. Well, she passed it to Ilyin, Halken's box was just tossed in his general direction. Such is the life of siblings. Taking her own styrofoam container, Bajets popped it open and pulled out a napkin which was quickly and expertly folded over her tie, as to keep it from getting soiled. She took out a plastic fork, examined it, shrugged and threw it back in the tin, before stabbing a few leaves of her salad with a metallic claw and starting in on her meal.
  23. IC: Nisaduf (Engineering Sector) For her part, Nisaduf quite enjoyed having the life hugged out of her. It was very comforting, just like Riss's words. She smiled softly, returning the one her.. boss? friend? employer?... had given her. "Thanks, Riss," she said, and half-leapt upwards to attempt to encircle the Toa with her arms. It was a valiant effort, but was ultimately doomed to failure. "...you're pretty special to me, too," a whisper came. And Nisaduf blushed, just glad that her current position didn't afford Riss a clear view of her face. IC: Zakaro (Wailing Cliffs, near Bionifight Facility) People were doing something. He couldn't really tell what, but it was something. Interesting. What? Were you expecting some deep introspection? Zak is still a guy, people. Guys do tend to think about nothing, or just kinda go 'huh. cool.' Man. Talk about unrealistic expectations for developing characters...
  24. IC: Nisaduf (Engineering Sector) The little Matoran sighed and let her head drop into Riss's side, just enjoying the comfort of the embrace for a second. "..not really," she eventually said, wiping her eyes in an unsuccessful attempted to stop the leakage of tears. "I-it's just not a game anymore. It's real stuff. It's so, so, so-so real. No backups, no Arena magic, just the reality of all this." She gestures around, trying to articulate her feelings, before sighing again and burying her face in Riss' side. Nisa eventually speaks again, her voice quiet and muffled. "..I'm just scared, Riss."
