  1. IC: Nisaduf (Fighting Okavuang and Ten) Nisaduf took advantage of her small stature and dove away from the tail, landing and rolling over to a side, further away from the conflict. However, her Ko-Toa avatar leapt backwards instead, shooting 'ice' behind her to land on the platform for a few seconds. Even as it quickly melted away, the Illusion took out a throwing knife-and this one was real, relatively speaking, being made up of the nanobots that formed the Illusion of Greatness- and flung it at the dragon's wings. Whether or not Ten was still cloaked didn't particularly matter, Nisaduf wasn't looking in that direction anyway. Her true body was cloaked by the illusion, while the Ko-Toa that was her jumped back onto the catwalk after throwing the knife, her platform quickly 'melting' away into nonexistence. Not that it had ever truly existed. IC: Bajets (Fighting Zephyr) "What, afraid of the pretty little Skakdi? You poor thing," Bajets cooed, breaking out into a full on sprint at Zephyr and sending another volley of Poker Vision aimed just to the right of his legs. Assuming he didn't pull out a plant to slow her down, Bajets would get close enough for close quarters within another few seconds at their current rates. Already, the tips of her knuckles were beginning to harden as her powers rose to the surface.
  2. IC: Nisaduf (Great Furnace, fighting Ten and Okavaung) To be honest, Nisa had been far too interested in just absorbing everything that she hadn't noticed Ten. As soon as she heard something's wings flapping, though, she instantly reacted, throwing her back against the wall as the Illusion formed into somewhat of a shield. Her Ko-Toa Illusion did much the same, although the shield was made of the icy element she was meant to represent. As the frost breath connected, Nisaduf grinned. Perfect, although it would seem odd for a Toa to do this instead of perhaps absorbing it, this would be a good way to show her 'powers'. Plus, the icy cold of it wasn't all that unwelcome in the Furnace. "HAH!" She cried, her voice sounding higher and more crisp as the Illusion changed it to that of a Ko-Toa's, roughly speaking. At the same time, she side-stepped away while the Illusion remained in place for half a second longer, before the nanobots of the shield burst outwards, carrying the accumulated ice crystals with them as if she had broken the shield and sent it flying. The sound of ice cracking accompanied this, as the Illusion performed better than she had imagined in this case. With luck, some of the shard would hit the dragon, annoying it at the very least. Unknown to Nisaduf, it might also hit Ten. Then again, Ten might be doing his own thing. As usual.
  3. i'm honored you consider me that crafty and clever i don't consider myself that clever honestly, i just don't know what i'm doing in this game anymore but since you're voting for me I'll vote for you, Voxumo.
  4. haha you're funny i suppose the correct thing to do is vote vox in this situation but iunno perhaps i shall perhaps i shall not
  5. IC: Bajets (Great Furnace, Attacking Zephyr) This was utter chaos. It was glorious. Deadly, to be true, but also glorious. Vats of molten protodermis were spilling, people were shouting and the hissing of things burning in the lake of molten proto comprised almost a tune of musical battle. Bajets hadn't gotten close enough to someone yet to make it of any use, but that was about to change. There, standing on a catwalk. Some Bo-Toa, looking very lost in this land of heat and metal. Ohh, too bad, so sad. Plant boy doesn't have anything to work with. The golden-spined Skakdi made a quick leap from one walk to another and flung herself around so that she was on the same level as Zephyr, just a mere intersection and lengths of the catwalk separating them. Making no effort to conceal herself, she sprinted forward almost catlike, low and quick, sliding from side to side in an almost hypnotic manner. Without warning, twin red beams shot out from her eyes, intentionally aimed to blaze through the air just to the left of the Toa's shoulder. They were less dangerous than they looked, but it was merely a distraction anyway. Bajets smirked. She hadn't beaten up a Bo-Toa since Halken got lost on Mata Nui. OOC: Nisaduf is open for fighting, she's on a catwalk nearish the wall, and Bajets is attacking Zephyr.
  6. IC: Zakaro (Training Sector) Even as Olari shimmered away to the arena along with a majority of the others around, Zakaro stepped forward a bit, starting towards the door. "That's too bad. She's pretty, would'a been nice to have her along. And that mag-net-tism. That's some powerful stuff. Kinda like Gravity but more..." He gestured uselessly for a few seconds, trying to describe what he wanted to say, before finding a word. "..metal-y." IC: Nisaduf (Great Furnace, Fighting With: None) The Arena materialized around her, and she could barely contain her sheer excitement. It became easier as the heat hit, filling her senses with sheer... warmth. Shaking herself, Nisaduf quickly created a reasonable disguise, the Illusion activating to create the appearance of a Ko-Toa around her. If anyone looked too closely, perhaps they would realize that the snowflakes on this Toa's armor looked strangely like suns, but that was fine for now. Her mask was a strange, feminine combination of both Ten's and Artorre's, in white, while the Ko-Toa overall was armored more than usual, somewhat like Noroi. This would do. With a motion, a sword formed in the Ko-Toa's hand, and a distressed look appeared on her face. Perfectly acceptable, for a Ko-Toa trapped in the firey Karzahni of the Great Furnace, right? IC: Lady Bajets von Zakaz VII (Great Furnace, not yet fighting) Heat, smoke, and the sound of gears hit Bajets, and she almost smiled. This was strangely like home, and yet not. The heat was typical, as were gears, but the smoke was strange. In Zakaz that would have been steam. Nevermind, it was time for a fight. The golden-spined Skakdi crouched down and quickly touched her Electro-Binders. Good. Even if that was not her preferred weapon, it would do. One shackle around any non-lightening user would basically finish them, especially with the very accessible flaming pit of doom far below. She pulled off her tie and folded it, dropping it into a pocket. The bright color would be far too revealing. With that done, Bajets slunk forward, watching her flanks and back. Any fight would be welcome, but she'd certainly prefer to get the drop on someone rather than the other way around.
  7. Zakaro is opting out to go Gem Questing!TM with Lekona, Elittra, and possibly Olari depending on when Ultron makes it back. Nisaduf and Bajets are both going to participate, however.
  8. IC: Zakaro (Training Sector) "Sounds like a plan," Zakaro said. "...oh. Right. I hereby declareth that I shall not participate in this forthcoming round, so mote it be!" "Where we heading first, then?"
  9. IC: Zakaro (Training Sector) "I'll sit out if you guys do," Zakaro said from his position on the wall. "Otherwise, I'm heading in. And no, I don't care about how...." He stopped for a second, staring into space, before jumping and refocusing. "..tired I may be." "....hey, I've nearly slept through a round before. Almost won too. Don't ask, I don't know how either. I wasn't the best at it, though. Once saw a guy that literally won a round or two while asleep. That was Karz'n amazing." IC: Nisaduf (Hallway) "Oh, bright electric lightning! I thought I'd never see you again! And a new round too? Oh boy oh boy! That means I'm going to get up close and personal with everybody and it's going to be amazing and great and sweet and amazing and yeess!" This would be the true test of the Illusion's powers! Disguise, attack, backstabbing, manipulation! It was going to be as amazing as Ten, and that was saying something indeed! IC: Bajets (Comfort Sector) "Ah, the round is soon to begin. Good. Perhaps this way we'll have less altercations within the facility." Her opponents would have no idea what hit them. Just how Lady Bajets von Zakaz VII liked it.
  10. IC: Bajets (Commercial Sector) "No, Lady of the Smoke, we're not entertaining guests from far-away lands. We are the guests from far-away lands, as much as I can tell," the Lady Skakdi replied, passing through the doorway into the Comfort Sector. As she did, Bajets paused and frowned, sighing. "I'll presume you hear the sounds of an altercation as well as I do?" IC: Nisaduf (spooky gem quest that's totally not fear) Nisaduf lay in a ball on the floor, trying to calm her pounding heart and gain some control over herself and the situation. Squirming around a bit, she got a clear view of Ten going for the gem. Oh good, this was almost over. Well, that was good and bad, on one hand it hadn't provided many opportunities where she felt comfortable trying to, ehem, become one of the people, but on the other hand Nisaduf would be more than happy to just get back to the facility where it would be light and familiar and not spooky and scary and falling and dark and damp and tunnels and guuhh.
  11. IC: Bajets (With Dajik) "Ah, a compromise of sorts aimed at deluding the masses. Contemporary." The two ladies walked in silence for a few seconds, Snarl padding behind them, before Bajets eventually spoke again. "I don't suppose you've yet established any sort of connections here? I notice you do not yet walk with certainty in your step, and presume that like myself you have just arrived here?"
  12. IC: Bajets (Commercial Sector) She somehow managed to avoid snorting, remembering that it was time to be high class and an upstanding lady, and instead replied carefully but with a touch of humor. "I wouldn't call it management, more a loose association where he doesn't have any of his adventures too close to home and I simply try to make the best of whatever publicity he creates. Sadly he's the heir, so I can't totally separate myself from him." The Court of Zakaz was pretty torn over Halken, but Bajets felt the best thing would be disgust with a hint of amusement. That was a basic assessment, although there were both those that felt it was good for an heir to get out and about and those who felt that Halken was a complete and utter disgrace to Zakaz as a whole. Bajets suspected Lady Dajik would fall in the latter category. "I presume Metru Nui is doing well? I heard there was a movement to try to bring back the sun to Metru Nui? Tell me, how did that end?"
  13. Congrats to all of the contestants! I can't say that I played all of the games, but I did enjoy all of the ones I played! Hope we can do this again, twus great to see all the new games pop up.
  14. IC: Bajets (Commercial Sector Doorway) "When I left it, Zakaz hadn't yet managed to implode upon itself in an explosion of steam, pipes, and gears, so I would call that acceptable at the least. The von Zakaz as a family are doing well, at the least we haven't fallen in the social standings. Doubtlessly you've heard of my brother Halken's exploits?" As she spoke, the Skakdi adjusted her monocle and magenta tie for the simple sake that she could. Bajets hadn't taken a cigarette herself, she found the things disgusting, but a good Lady was courteous and accommodating of all, even if that meant filling her pockets with things Bajets herself would never use.
  15. IC: Bajets (Commercial Sector) "Indeed," Bajets replied, taking Dajik's hand and stepping out of the stand. Once there, she dropped the Toa's hand and turned back, whistling. "Snarl! Follow!" And the Skakdi turned on her heel and began to briskly walk out, not affording a glance back. That could show weakness. IC: Nisaduf (Spooky Tunnel) For her part, Nisaduf was hiding behind the group again, trying to remain out of sight and therefore out of mind. Right? Probably not. IC: Zakaro (Training Sector) Zakaro leaned against the wall, watching without seeing, hearing without listening. It was odd, he decided, how it was perfectly normal to think about things within his mind while being totally oblivious to the outside world. Perhaps normal was not the right word. More, natural? Yes, it was perfectly natural, at least for him. Then again, maybe he learned this from the long hours in the mines. He couldn't say or do anything more than just chip, chip, chip away at the stone there, so Zakaro eventually just closed himself into his mind and thought about things to keep himself occupied. It was kinda fun.
  16. IC: Bajets (Commercial Sector, with Dajik, Rayvn, and Snarl) "How.. interesting." If the Skakdi's tone of voice didn't imply it enough, the fact that Bajets also turned her attention to her nails-although they were more of claws-would hint that she had grown bored of the current line of discussion. This being was evidently focused on the world he had just left behind, it would likely be of little use in this one. As smoke began to slip from Dajik's hands, Bajets glanced around. On one hand, she couldn't stand to see all these innocents hurt and dying on the ground, yet to show weakness in such a manner around Dajik would likely end with the other Lady cutting ties with Bajets entirely. There was the problem, then, was it more valuable to leave now and perhaps gain Dajik as not an outright opponent, or stay, help, and solidify both her image of weakness and the loss of most of Dajik's respect, even though the Toa probably had little for Bajets to start with. Perhaps it would be best to pose it as a question? "I must say, though, that these conditions are not fit of one of my standards, and while my heart cries out in sympathy for these poor individuals struck down in this horrid event, there is no organization or money to donate for as I would normally do and I fear I am ill-suited for such... personal... relations with those harmed. Shall we abscond to fairer areas?" Sometimes she disgusted herself, but this was the only way one could survive in a society like this. Eat or be eaten, kindness is tough to come by and rarely returned.
  17. IC: Bajets (Commercial Sector) She can only raise an eyebrow at this being's rant. She didn't understand half of what he had said nor why it would matter in this instance. Bajets sighed. Great, 15 minutes in and she had already weathered one or two of the insane, a random attack of the robots, and now this. This didn't bode well for the rest of her time in the tournament. Still, perhaps with a bit more talking this fellow would reveal something exploitable to use on him later. Then again, perhaps it would be best to just try to get a rise out of him. "Oh, really now? I'd have doubts, personally, about someone whose name was literally 'Forger'. Sounds like all he would do is copy others to make himself look better."
  18. IC: Bajets (Commercial Sector) The golden-armored Skakdi barely had time to register that she was being talked to before another being spoke up, giving her a few seconds to re-calibrate with the world after experiencing that amazing food they call pizza. Two beings besides Snarl. One she couldn't see all that well from her current position, and was the one talking about reverence or something, while the first one was a Toa. No any Toa, oh no. A Toa of Smoke, a Lady of Metru Nui, the City of Oil (and Gas, and Smoke, and Pollution, and sheer disgustingness..). Bajets already hated her. Nonetheless the Toa could prove to be an ally, though a tentative one and not one to trust with the flanks or back. "Reverent? Are you perhaps one of those religious persons, or is that in reference to other things? I would hate to unintentionally offend you," Lady Bajets von Zakaz VII said, rising to her feet and brushing off her clothes, placing the remainder of the pizza on a napkin for later. Heh, unintentionally. That wasn't a lie: If Bajets was going to offend, she wanted to be fully aware that she was doing so. "Though I must inform you that contrary to his looks, Snarl here is a perfectly well-bred, pureblooded Energy Hound capable of the finest tracking this side of the Northern Continent. While not my first choice of things to fight with, it appears that this tournament has decided that he is to be my weaponry in a sense. It's only too bad they didn't teleport his steam-boosters along with him." If there's one thing Bajets was good at, it was lying through her teeth. It would be an immense advantage for both Snarl and herself if others were under the misconception that they were a team, her lacking in fighting skills and he lacking in intelligence, forced together by this tournament. "Isn't that right, Snarly? Of course it is, you don't talk. Only bad thing is his, let me say, thick-headedness? Poor thing would be lost without me to command him." She leaned down and carefully ran a hand down Snarl's back, trying to meet his eyes to convey an unspoken message of apology. Everything would be fine, as long as Snarl could forgive her later for this entire act. Straightening up, Lady Bajets von Zakaz curtsied and introduced myself. "Forgive me for my rudeness. I am the Lady Bajets von Zakaz VII. Cigarette?" And to round off the entire facade, Bajets pulled a small carton of cigarettes from a pocket and flipped it open, offering it to Dajik and Ravyn. IC: Nisaduf (Spooky Tunnel) "I don't like this," Nisaduf whispered from where she cowered nearby Ten, looking all around. "I feel like I can't trust my senses anymore." IC: Zakaro (Training Sector) The Onu-Toa just raised a hand in greeting to Elittra and noticed his bandages, quickly zoning out as he stared at them blankly. They were nice, even though they were napkins, very secured too... He blinked and spoke, groaning and leaning against a wall. "I feel like I'm still half-asleep and dreaming. Mata Nui, I apologize for anything I say, considering my comp.. compreee... thinking skills are low right now. But, but, these napkin-bandages are nice. Thank you, whomever did that. Napkin-bandages. Napandages. Bandkins. No, that doesn't quite fit..." So this was Zakaro before he had his coffee. Half delirious. Isn't that fantastic?
  19. bargaining it's fun so are 14 hour car rides those are also fun ....i take that back, actually E: oh right, actual doing things guh, very tired, apologies Switching from Tex to Shadowhawk.
  20. So! Just a quick informational post about my status and the characters I have here: I'm going to be relatively inactive over the next few days, I'll try to be on a few times each day to get a post or two out if necessary, but my activity will be limited. (car trips, so much fun. ._.) Therefore, do assume that Zakaro is basically just tagging along with Olari and Lekona unless a round starts, at which point he's basically going to hide. Slight bunnying of Zak is fine by both users. Nisaduf will basically just keep running and watching out for things. Ehks can bunny her if needed. Lastly, Bajets will probably just hang out with the Shopkeeper. Click, if interaction does start, I'll apologize in advance for the slow replies. However, in a conversation, I do feel that it's necessary to truly play Bajets, so nobody will be bunnying her. That's all, thanks.
  21. i'll switch if you switch, voltex although hi vox woooo such activity and yesth. thisth isth someth lispth.
  22. methinks ith didst heareth my nameth ith thereforeth qouthst thatth ith shallth voteth for-th theth oneth whomth votedst for-th me-th the-th oneth andth onlyth Voltex. fairth's fairth in lovest andth warst.
  23. IC: Bajets (Pizza Stall) "Indeed," was all Bajets said before proceeding to turn her attentions back to the slice of pizza in her hands. Conversation could wait with this gift from Mata Nui himself in her palms. Besides, as far as hiding behind things waiting for a fight to be over goes, this just made the top of her list. Even beat out that one time she found that Electro-Whammer 9003 behind the counter of a bar.
  24. IC: Bajets (Pizza Stall) "I suppose I could," Bajets replied, smirking as happily as she could under the circumstances and delicately selecting a slice from the box, a napkin emerging from another pocket to be held below the slice in hopes of not spilling any of the various toppings onto her outfit. And from the first bite, she was in heaven. Her silver pools closed and Bajets would unashamedly admit later that she totally let her guard down for those first few moments of heaven packed into a slice of pizza. She didn't even happen to notice Ravyn slipping by, but when she eventually returned to the world the Shopkeeper was muttering about thieves. Swallowing, she spoke. "While I must admit I don't understand how someone can steal something when it's all free, I suppose if they didn't ask then it could be considered as such. Nevermind that. What is this absolutely amazing food you sell?"
  25. IC: Bajets (Commercial Sector) "Lady Bajets von Zakaz VII," she replied, nodding to Snarl as the Energy Hound slipped into the stall as well. She risked a glance outside, only to stifle her gasp of near-horror at the carnage of what had occurred. She was starting to regret not learning to do any more than simple first aid, but that couldn't be helped out. "..Very unfortunate," she eventually said, closing her eyes for half a second. Those robots, those things were still out there, she was not going to risk leaving yet, even if this Enforcer was on the scene. "..I don't suppose you'd know whether it'd be best to help out or just let the staff take care of things?"
