  1. IC: Sim - Refectory "...You said he was an Illusion Rahkshi? Do you know many of them around here?"
  2. IC: Sim - Refectory "Have you met anyone at all that would make you think otherwise? I'd like to think not everyone hear is heartless." I bumped him with my shoulder. "Though I think you've already proved me wrong."
  3. IC: Sim- Refectory I gave him a pat on the shoulder. "Well, you were trying to do the right thing. That's what matters." I may have been saying that more for myself than for him. "I had hoped that coming here would mean things would be different. Such is not the case it seems."
  4. IC: Sim - Refectory "...Did he succeed?" I asked in a dulled, monotone voice. How was killing the matoran any more effective than the Illusion Rahkshi bent on stealing them away? I could feel my eyes glisten, but not to the point of tears. Rarely did I reach that point.
  5. IC: Sim - Refectory "'The other guy?' There was more than one?"

It's a pun on the name of a character from a webcomic called Homestuck. The name is Roxy Lalonde.

  7. IC: Sim - Refectory "Sigh.... Why?" If I hadn't already, I'd have felt like retching at the mention of this Rahk. I shook my head and muttered, "Forgive me, but that Rahkshi is little more than a beast."
  8. IC: Sim - Refectory "I really don't know, to be honest. I haven't seen that much while I've been here, I've mostly been practicing hiding in the walls. Perfectly normal conversation, really. Absolutely.
  9. IC: Sim - Refectory I dabbed a finger in the slop and licked it. Yep. Still disgusting. "Curiousity. Loneliness. One of the two, or both.' With a sigh I upended the rest of the slop just so I could get it over with. It sent shivers down my spine it was so disgusting. "Eugh.... You don't meet many that will take the time to hear you out instead of trying to kill you when you're a Rahkshi. You probably know that though. I heard rumors of this place from some Nynrah, so I came here in hopes of finding intelligent company that wouldn't skewer me first chance they had. Though that would have been entirely possible considering the variety of intelligent company here."
  10. IC: Sim - Refectory I couldn't stop the smile from breaking onto my face. "I'd call very little of it "bad". I once found a small tribe of Ce-Matoran that had learned how to crystallize liquid protodermis and direct it to grow into entire structures. Some of the matoran were able to amplify their dormant psionic power through the crystals to the point that they could communicate through pure thought. I made a friend there with that ability, in a little one named Geva." I looked at Call, fondly recalling the encounter. "She heard my thoughts while I was watching them in the trees. She could hear me think, felt no harm in coming and talking to me. I didn't have any trouble talking with her either because she could understand the basis of what I was trying to say from my thoughts. I hope to go back someday." The slop eventually made it's way into my mouth. I Grimaced and said, "Maybe sooner than later, after tasting this. They had much better food."
  11. IC: Sim - Refectory "That's... a difficult topic. My parent Makuta was Krika, but that's near all I can remember, I've forgotten most of my early life. I'm a little older than most stage twos." I shrugged. The circumstances of my forthcoming into the world are unclear to me, though I've certainly not told all.
  12. IC: Sim - Refectory I grabbed a bowl of the slop directly after Call. It was a truly underwhelming meal, fit for maggots and the occasional rama-nui. 'Mmm... Rama-Nui Soup.' I thought. I didn't complain verbally. It was enough to have food to eat, after nearly a month with nothing. I nudged the Stasis Rahkshi and pointed at the benches. Few were occupied, and there was plenty of space.
  13. IC: Sim - Hallways to Refectory I nodded. Best to leave words out of things for a while, lest I upset him again.
  14. IC: Sim - Hallways "...It smells disgusting. But it is the only identifiably different smell in the whole building. We may as well go see what it is." I took another look at Call. His pitted armor contrasted heavily with the nigh-neon of his blue carapace. Definitely not the average rahkshi plating. He needed a polish sometime.
  15. IC: Sim - Hallways I smiled and nodded, gesturing for him to lead the way.
  16. IC: Sim - Hallways "You were wondering what I was doing in the wall. I was watching the Rahkshi that inhabit this school. I prefer to learn just by watching and observing. I tend to get loquacious when in dialogue. But maybe you could help me?" No response. I prodded a little more. "I've been traveling a very long time now, and despite what I can do with stasis, I am very hungry. Do you know where I could go to get something to eat?"
  17. IC: Sim - Hallways "...Ah... I am sorry. Here I am, thinking that these other Rahk should take things slowly, and I'm rushing into words without thinking. I apologize for any remarks I've made that were... insensitive. I..." All of them? How could all of them have died but this one? It didn't make much sense, but the thought pained him. "I can't take back my words, or my actions. But do know that I am sorry."
  18. IC: Sim - Hallways "Hardly. I wasn't even involved in the battle. Like I said, I am a wanderer, I follow a path with no real destination, and that path leads through some dark places at times. Really though, there were plenty of other dead species there as well." After garnering no positive reaction, my expression darkened. I would get nowhere shrugging of my experience near the aftermath of the Brotherhood's war as another page in history. "I'm not trying to make such a matter light. I've only once ever taken a life myself, and it is one of my greatest regrets. I know the consequences of my actions. Tell me, if you were wandering through the wastes of battle and encountered two matoran, would you not vie for the most immediate hiding place? Were it not for my immediate need I would have taken no traipse through that miserable graveyard."
  19. IC: Sim - Hallways "Oh I didn't kill them, I'm not one to take a life for no reason. They were like that when I found them. Plus, I highly doubt any of them were like you or I. This was over on the west side of the Southern continent." I shrugged, thinking the matter was dealt with. "That's who I am; The Watcher. I take what opportunities I can to see what I can, experience that which is around me." With a bow, and a hand to the chest, I said, "My name, is Sim Xire."
  20. IC: Sim - Hallways "There we are, that's how it's done. I learned that, watching some Matoran on one of the smaller islands. It's unbelievably easy to make one's self out to look like they're dead when there are plenty of dead Rahk surrounding you." I grinned slightly.
  21. IC: Sim - Hallways "You bump it... you- you're supposed to bump it with your fist." I shook it a little bit.
  22. IC: Sim - Hallways "Call the Student? Well met." I extended my fist, slowly, yet deliberately, stopping it at half the distance between the two of us. Couldn't be too careful when offering a fist, who knows how this one would react.
  23. IC: Sim - Hallways "Well you could have said so in the first place." I studied the Rahk before me. He was certainly untraditional in appearance. He? She? "Well, it's nice to see another Stasis Rahkshi in the midst here. As I'm assuming you are...? And before I assume to much, have you taken to call yourself by a gender? Some people would expect others to know right off the bat, but we are slugs in armor suits." OOC: I know Call is male, but Sim certainly doesn't.
  24. IC: Sim - Hallways More and more of my body was slowly pushed out, my feet scraping against solid floor, my sharpened spines freeing themselves from the now clay-like consistency of the wall. "Take time to pick your words. 'Um... you could say that' is something of a little too vague I should think. Are you a student here? Or are you just visiting, per se?" Finally, my nub of what could be called a tail slid from the pseudo-stone. I stood before the brightly colored rahkshi.
  25. IC: Sim - Hallways I could feel my hand slowly being pushed out, the first fingers being exposed to atmosphere. "Do you? Another companion of the unseen? A wanderer?"
