  1. I highly doubt that a petition will do anything. How many Bring Back Bionicle petitions were made? Like 400 or something? Five years later and still they hadn't accomplished anything. I would try contacting Nathan Furst. Sounds stalky, but it might be possible. Also, maybe he doesn't even have the original score anymore. I'm just going to throw my opinion out there, but in all honesty, the score was mediocre at best.

  2. Since we are in a new age where we have devices and smartphones that buy apps, I would like to ask this: what Bionicle game(s) do you want to become an app for your device, other than the new 2015 game, Bionicle: Mask of Creation. For me, I would like these listed below as apps:

    1. Mata Nui Online Game

    2. Mata Nui Online Game 2

    3. Voya Nui Online Game

    4. Bionicle Heroes

    5. The Toa Mahri online games

    6. The 2008 games

    7. The Glatorian Arena games

    8. The 2010 tower defense game

It would be awesome if these games are released as apps. I'm not sure if Lego can do that, but I loved these games. So, there. What do you think? :)

    Soooo... basically all of them?

  3. Why is everyone assuming that Bionicle 2015 is going to be like the previous years? Questions like "Will the Bohrok come back?" or "Will there be a crossover for G1 and G2" and, the most common; "Will we get mask packs?" are all too common. Listen, what were the original purpose of mask packs? (money) To provide a way to collect all of the masks that weren't in the sets. There was a total of 72 masks.

Why on earth would they make mask packs for 18 masks, all of which are included in the sets? I suppose that the Mask of Creation and Control aren't (yet), but those will probably be released in something similar to the clear Mask of Fire.

Anyways, I don't really see any potential for collectibles in 2016, maybe trading cards or games.

  4. There's books reportedly coming in December.

If I hear someone mention the word 'books' one more time, I am going to go insane. I don't mean to be offensive, but I have seen at least 10,000 people mention the Bionicle books. Remember that the target audience for Bionicle is boys from the ages of 6-12. The books (if any) will most likely be very cringe worthy and mind numbing.

I'm not upset. I'm perfectly calm. I am, however, also passionate about the Bionicle reboot actually caring about the roots of the franchise instead of the rotten growths that developed later.

And to me, "being Bionicle" isn't just about having the Bionicle logo slapped onto the packaging. That's not what being Bionicle necessarily is. What I mean by "being Bionicle" is feeling like Bionicle, staying true to the things that made it great. That's something 2006 didn't do, at all.

Oh yeah? Sorry to burst your bubble, but 2001 was the worst year for Bionicle. in fact, the story didn't start picking up until 2003. I never cared about the 'magic' or 'mystery'.

2006 had all of that and more. Giant axe wielding monsters? Check. Lightning powers? Check. An important storyline that would shape the future of the series? Check.

'But wahh! It didn't have stupid online games and mask packs!'

Too bad. It didn't need any of that. It had awesome light up swords and rain drenched garages with the AAR backing the heroes as they assaulted the evil Piraka base. In fact, I regret not getting any of the Piraka now because back then I didn't have money.

And since you pointed it out, YES, I like 'gang culture' and dark and gritty stuff. What's wrong with that? It's better than some childish stick robots trying to fight rolling balls.

Good for you. FYI, people are inclined to have their own opinions and disagreeing with them is not reason to start bashing on someone. Personally, I don't feel that the year that can be summed up in the words "Yo, yo, Pirika" is the best.

Also, why does everyone praise the 'darkness' of 2006? I'm sorry, but 2006 is a walk in the park when compared to stories such as A Clockwork Orange or the Lord of the Rings. 2006 was a wannabe gang attacking deformed villagers while a Toa team saved the day and (failed) getting the Ignika. LOTR is (basically) about the end of the world and the dominion of the dark lord Sauron. I don't think that I can get into A Clockwork Orange on BZPower.

My point is that 2006 to me never reflected the comments of many others. For example: "2006 was so great and dark" Why was it so great? "2006 was really dark" How was it dark? "It had the Pirika, and Mata-Nui was dying, and... did I mention that it was dark?"

  5. If it's any help, look at it this way: at the end of the first BIONICLE comic, Kopaka had already had his quest explained to him by the leader of his village, acquired his first new mask, befriended one of his fellow Toa, and encountered the other four Toa. By the end of Episode 4, Tahu has only achieved two of those four milestones.

The comic was released in June of 2001. The Bionicle website, MNOG, and Lego's publicity campaign were already six months old. We have not even finished the first month of the 2015 year. I understand that episodes 5-9 were leaked by mistake, but the point is; nine 90 second episodes are a bit little considering that they are intended to fill half a year. In the time that it takes to watch the entire series, you would have just finished talking to Vakama in the MNOG.

I see the idea of taking it slowly at the beginning, and then entering your (to quote LOKorra) end game and finishing with a big bang, but with everything that Lego has done with Bionicle so far, I have the nagging words 'That's it?' bounding inside my head.

  6. Yeah, I'd say it is being unintentionally rushed, but it was never meant to.

As said before, there will be books, as well as more episodes of the animations to conclude the year. Things have just been accidentally released a little too early.

Who knows, we may get more than just the books and animations. :)

It is obvious that the storyline is not the main priority of Lego. On that note, neither was the 2001 storyline the main priority of Lego as that will, then and now, always be money. A simple glance at BZPower is proof of my next point; the members of this site have been so starved of Bionicle in the past 5 years that they will buy the sets regardless of personal (negative) feelings towards them. At the end, Lego still wins; in fact they make more seeing as how they spend less on story related media.

  7. I think that the Children of Húrin and the Silmarillion should be turned into a trilogy. That would be understandable, unlike turning a childrens book that could be read in half the time that it takes to watch the movie trilogy based of that book! Watch the 4 hour Hobbit: Tolkein Edit. It is all three movies edited to strictly follow the book.

  8. In the animations, the Golden Mask shrines are always depicted incorrectly in the comic version of the golden mask retrieval. Doesn't really do much but it's interesting none the less.

Also, I was reading on the Bionicle Forums and somewhere, they refer to the village of stone as Po-Koto. Is this cannon?

  9. Yeah, I'm a fan.  The "Star Wars" Prequel reviews are absolute genius (even if they're certainly more crude than I would like) and the Crystal Skull is also great.  I like how "Half in the Bag" keeps me up-to-date about what's going on in cinema; more recently I've been going through the riotous "Best of the Worst" series, which is also very entertaining.

I like his educational cooking video in the middle of 'Cop Dog'. 'Let me show you a clip from the first part I'm working on NAAOOO'
