  1. My library was selling off their graphic novel collection a really long time ago, and I bought all the FMA there was there. It was book number 7 all the way to the last one for a dollar a piece. Needless to say I bought the lot, my mom was angry because we had already had too many books in the house in the first place. I find the book much more detailed, funny, and brutal. The show is nice, but skims over a lot of stuff. Just started watching the show again for a second time.
  2. 1.Bionicle 2.Knights Kingdom (All the lines) 3.Star Wars (Older stuff is a bit better, but they are releasing Episode 4-6 again since episode 7 is coming soon so that's good) 4.City (I know, they recirculate the same sets over and over and over... but they always release new unique pieces every year.) 5.Lord of the Rings/Hobbit (The only awesome medieval/fantasy line out right now, besides Bionicle, knights and castles have always been the best) Honorable mention to HF, Orient Expedition and.... UNITRON YEASUHSS (jk) Cyber Slam and Slizers were cool too
  3. That's only, like, three of the Seven Deadly Sins. That's pretty good.I try.
  4. I would personally kill (wouldn't) for a prototype. They look so cool and amazing for MOCs. I love the Forgotten's mask, and the teal Rahkshi is mesmerizing (Teal is amazing on any lego piece.). I may have a prototype and not know it, I will scan my collection to spot anything. I know my friend who makes it his goal to get more obsessed in something than I am had an entirely silver Matau Turaga mask from one of the metrutoran. Misprint or something I am guessing.
  5. I would say something witty about clichés, but I can't think of anything. In a recent abomination, I used disembodied minifigure parts as part of a weapon, and Toa Metru heads as ankles (which works surprisingly well). Sorry. I know it is a cliché, thought I might mention it because I have seen many people make specifically feminine MOCs and I have never seen anyone use them.
  6. It appears he wedged minifigure hands into the eye holes of the Ruru.
  7. Awesome! Glad to hear the Pirate theme will be coming back.
  8. Really awesome! I am still learning how to integrate HF with Bionicle well.
  9. Do you mean lime green? Because that's what LEGO used to send out as replacement Nuva armor 'cause they didn't have it in silver. Yes, Lime green. I didn't know they sent them out as replacements, because I looked on bricklink and the only set that officially contains lime green nuva armor is an Exo-Force set. I was hoping it would be more rare...
  10. Dark Hunter By KittehWubbins So, in my last topic I had posted a MOC I thought was finished. After seeing all of the kind feedback I felt I needed to improve upon it, by giving it more... Beef. Not much has changed here besides his tail, which has a better view in the other pics. Looks a bit more menacing in my opinion. I added back armor as well as a little front armor, there are better looks at the back in a few next pics On it's legs in "scorpion mode" similar to that of a Vahki Side view, back armor works WAY better when it is on it's legs, the huge tail pulls off the scorpion look too. Good look at the back It's belly. It is bigger than it looks lol. Also, the Piraka feet are my new best friend. As seen here, the back armor and the huge tail are easily removed. The back armor is fitted with half a stud length of an axle, and fits snugly and surprisingly well. Not too tight, but not too loose. The tail is connected to a standard hand piece to an axle right where a tail would be attached. So that is MOC! Let me know what you think below. Thanks for taking time too look, and any improvement suggestions are happily accepted. Mods, also let me know if the file size of all the pictures is too big. This is my first time posting images in the OP. thanks
  11. After rebuilding myself, I grab a pie and give it to you. It has a bomb in it. You eat it and die. My mask.
  12. Thought I might add my two cents... Classic hands as limbs for Matoran MOCs Hordika heads for dragon mocs Toa Nuva shoulder parts for chests, my brother uses them alot for femminine MOCs 2001 Matoran arms for tails and other things like tentacles
  13. In that case, I must have a prototype because I have some green Nuva armour, and also some neon green Nuva armour where I have no idea where it came from.
  14. Thanks so much for all the feedback! I actually plan on making his back more armored, and his belly more exposed, because you know, every big bad tough boss needs a weak spot. I may take some better pictures with a more subtle background when the real deal is finished. Thanks again everyone
  15. I come up from behind you and smash you to pieces. I throw you back into the canister you came from. My Mask.
  16. What do you think is ugly about them? I didn't mind the Toa Inika and Toa Mahri minifigures too much, but their main flaws in my opinion were their lack of accurate mask details and their somewhat wonky proportions. I don't feel like these Hero Factory minifigures have either of these problems. Their masks are remarkably accurate to the full-size versions of the characters, and their proportions are nice and humanoid, without the awkward dangling arms or bowlegged stance of the Toa Inika and Toa Mahri minifigures. I got to love the modern minifig, and when I got my first Bionicle brickset, well, I guess you could say it wasn't my thing. That was one of the Mahri bricksets, then the next year I got the Lava Stronghold Inika brickset because my Uncle forgot to give it to me a few years back. The Inika figures were much better than the Mahri, and I actually kind of like the Inika. I don't even own a Hero Factory minifigure, and I plan on getting one because so far my judgement is based off of first impressions. So far I think they look ugly, but I do not know what their sturdiness or playability is. Once I own one I will let the judgement hammer fall. No. No no no. The HF figs are a massive improvement on the Toa Mahri figs whatever way you look at it. For one, they lack the awkward bowlegged stance of the 2006-07 Bionicle minifigs (a feature that often befuddled me because it sacrificed individual poseability for the legs only to add a point of rotation at the waist that hardly ever existed in actual Bionicle sets). The HF figs don't have the same rectangular shoulders of those Bionicle figs, either. Each HF fig has an individually designed mask that resembles their faces from previous action figure sets, like the Toa Inika figs but unlike the Toa Mahri figs which shared the same three mask designs between the six figures. Speaking of those mask designs, the HF figs all have decent-looking faces, unlike the too-tall heads of the Inika figs or the Mahri figs, some of which had their eyes printed on the TOP of their heads. Perhaps most importantly, the HF figs use parts compatible with regular minifigs. The masks of the Toa Inika and Mahri did not fit on regular minifig necks. But the torso of the HF figs is a regular Lego skeleton torso, and the head is a solid-colored minifig head, and thus the armor and masks of the HF figs can be used effectively on regular minifigures without any adjustment. The HF figs aren't perfect—some of their masks look better than others, they still don't have as many points of articulation as typical minifigures, and so on. But they're not "about as ugly as the Mahri Bionicle figs". They're leagues above those in almost every measurable way. I can see the Hero Factory figures possibly being better than the Bionicle figures, and at this point I am accepting anything over the Mahri figures (I don't like them at all). Like I said above, only once I get one I will voice what I think of them as a toy, not what their appearance is.
  17. My brother let be borrow his phone so I took some pics of a MOC of mine. This is more of a *ifailedatmyfirstideasoigaveupandwhippedpeicestogethertomakethis* sort of MOC. Ugh, pictures never work for me, so I'll just leave a link. http://imgur.com/nauWhNJ,zNLrMoh,jJ6x6Lm,ffggdsC,Kv6Ople,tV0onXv There are 6 pictures, just click the numbers on top to look at the others. Yes, The Rahkshi head is damaged. Got it in a lot and I suspect a dog chewed on it. Besides, it gives it a more worn and "battle damaged" look. I know it is not the greatest, and I am likely going to take it apart and retry. Leave any comments or suggestions, it means alot. Thanks -KittehWubbins
  18. This is more of a question topic, once it is answered I guess it can be moved/locked/deleted but... How do people get their hands on prototypes other than being a lego employee? Do they sell them out after they are done with them? Or do they throw them in with the rest of the finished product? Thanks
  19. About as ugly as the Mahri Bionicle Minifigs.I will probably buy one of their sets just for the mech feel to it. Other than that, the minifigs don't mean much to me.
  20. My mom keeps telling me to hang onto my Lego until I get to college, then sell it for some spare cash. I have finally seen how fast cash can disappear, and getting back all my old Lego would be no easy feat. Thing that sucks the most is that most of my Bionicle collection actually belongs to my brother, and most of the bricksets belong to me. I am way more into the story of Bionicle than my brother, he just likes the toys. It will be hard seeing all my favorite Bionicle go, that it why I am probably just going to... BUY THEM OFF MY BROTHER BOO YEAH! But seriously, I intend on taking ALL THE LEGO. I will probably get a storage locker to rent and put everything in there. Greed has overcome. Lego has given me Greed, Envy and Wrath! So yeah, I am going to take all the Lego.
  21. That's a rather impressive deal I must say. Yeah, so many Technic-Based Bionicles like Cahdok and Gahdok, Exo-Toa, Various Rahi, Makuta, etc. It would also help if it shipped to Canada. 22. What parts did you use for Lewa's shin pads? (The silver ones)
  23. I didn't know where else to put this, so lets go. Not sure if this is allowed but here it is. Moderators correct me if I am wrong about posting this. Here you can share how use use pieces in every way that they are not usually used for. Be it Rahkshi heads for shoulder pads, certain pieces of armor for masks, anything! Of course, keep it appropriate and follow the forum rules.
  24. If it were me I would buy it http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-BIONICLE-17-Pounds-Technic-Parts-Pieces-Bionicles-/221405557165?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item338cccb1ad
