  1. IC: Dahkapa (Ko-koro streets)

He stepped forwards, and said "I can not kill you, true, but I can make sure that you leave the city without touching a single matoran. Go." He turned to look at the Fe-matoran. "I recommend that you find a way out of the city, because we are under attack. It is dangerous here, especially if the enemy breaks through the gate" he turned back towards the Skakdi and started to follow her from a distance.

  2. IC: Dahkapa (Ko-koro streets)

He was confused at first when the matoran pointed his sword at him, before realizing that the matoran was just caught in the middle of the storm. He still wondered why exactly he had decided to join the fight.

"She attacked a company of the Sanctum Guard, and is a threat to the inhabitants. It is my duty to fight against her and protect the matoran." he said. Dahkapa then turned to look at the Skakdi. "A true Toa stays true to his words. If you do not surrender, I have no other option but to fight you"

  3. IC: Dahkapa (Ko-koro streets)

Dahkapa stopped suddenly when the Skakdi shot her weapon, and hit the shield the matoran was holding. The vines wrapped around his buckler, but he could easily free himself from the vines. He turned to look at the Skakdi, who in turn stared at him like he was a disgusting Rahi.

"Surrender, and this will be over much quicker, without anyone getting hurt more." he said sternly, ready to fight should she turn down his offer. "I promise to spare your life, if you drop your sword."

  4. IC: The Deceiver (Ostia)

"Oh, very well.. but may I ask out of curiosity, who or what do you worship?" she asked with a somewhat doubtful voice. Even if he wouldn't tell her what she hoped to hear, she still had a plan.

  5. IC: Dahkapa (Ko-koro streets)

The matoran started to run towards the Skakdi, making zig-zagging moves in order to avoid getting hit by the zamor spheres. For a moment, he thought about reloading his crossbow again, but figured that by the time he would have reloaded the matoran would be too close to the Skakdi, and he would risk hitting the Fe-matoran. Instead, he picked up his weapons from the ground. I'm too tired to fight, but I have no other option, he thought before starting to move closer to the Skakdi, ready to use his Kanohi Hau if she would shoot at him.

OoC: Just to be clear, he is too tired to use his elemental powers, but he can still use the Kanohi.

  6. OoC: Oh, I thought he was. It's going to be more difficult for her to find out more info about the Legacy now :/

    IC: The Deceiver (Ostia)

"It's just, let's say, a little bit suspicious that you are getting 'supplies' this late at night. I suppose you can tell me who these friends are if there's nothing shady about them?" she asked. Daretaki doubted that the souless thrall would reveal anything about his master(s), but she tried anyways. Sadly she didn't have the option of interrogating him, like she had done with the foolish matoran before. She had an idea, however..

  7. IC: Dahkapa

He reloaded quicker than he thought he could, and aimed at the Skakdi's leg. The bolt flew and hit her, and she fell on top of her Zamor launcher. She picked up the weapon and aimed at the matoran, who was standing near. Seems like the matoran had run out of courage, he thought, before he shouted "Watch out!"

  8. IC: Dahkapa

The pain and fatique were too much for him to handle. He couldn't fight against the Skakdi in close combat anymore, but when he saw her running towards her zamor launcher, he dropped his weapons on the ground and drew his crossbow from his back, and loaded it. He had to be quick, but he still hoped that the warrior - who apparently was a very brave matoran - could distract the Skakdi for a moment..

  9. OoC: Sure ;)

    IC: Dahkapa

The Skakdi struck him below his stomach, and it hurt. A lot. However, because the blade was made of stone, it didn't even dent his protosteel skin. Had it been made of something sharper, he would be dealing with a nasty, bleeding cut. Luckily it had hit the more heavily armoured part of his torso, but it made His muscles were badly bruised, and the pain coming from them made him nauseous, but out of fear from being killed he got strength to push the blade aside with his shield and roll over sideways, away from the Skakdi.

As he was getting back up on his feet, cursing the immense pain coming from his bruised stomach, he only then noticed that someone was fighting the Skakdi. The pain had made him ignore the outside world for a moment. Had the warrior said something? Dahkapa wasn't certain..

OoC:Edit: apparently the Granite Sword is made out of protosteel.

  10. IC: Dahkapa

The Skakdi kicked his feet, and he fell over to the side. He wasn't certain what to do at first, and took too long to decide that he should activate his Kanohi, and the Skakdi used the chance to attack..

  11. IC: Dahkapa

Told you so, the Toa said.

The sword hit his shield, scraping it. He retaliated by swinging his hammer swiftly from the right, towards her head.

What are you doing?, the matoran asked.

  12. IC: Dahkapa

Violence breeds more violence, and hatred breeds more hatred, he thought.

"The real villains are those who tortured and captured you. I am not one of them. If you want justice, I can help you. Many hate and distrust Skakdi, because many of them are mercenaries, murderes and madmen. Are you one of them?" he asked.

Don't waste your time with this ugly beast, the Toa said.

She has been mistreated. She has a reason to be angry. You need to help her, the matoran philosopher said.

  13. IC: The Deceiver

She looked at the dead man. On the outside, there was nothing unusual about him. But there was something wrong about him in the inside. There was nothing there.

"I was just wondering what are you doing here ths late.. and who are you buying supplies for?" she asked. The latter question was important to her, for she wanted to find out who was his master. Worshippers of the Sleeping God weren't known for practising necromancy. She hoped that the master was a worshipper of Makuta, or at least knew who Echelon was and where she could find him.

OoC: Is Ardron still looking for Makuta worshippers?

  14. IC: Dahkapa

His attack missed, and the Skakdi once again started to taunt him. But because he was so tired, he had difficulty concentrating on her words.

Instead, a voice spoke in his head. His old, matoran voice. It was something he had written in a book decades ago. "Violence used in self-defence is not wrong, but a necessary evil, for many do not listen to words or reason. But violence fueled by hatred or lust for vengeance, is corruption of the soul. Mata Nui created us all, and we must make Him proud when He awakens. We are not mindless Rahi or petty barbarians. We are all his children."

The Skakdi stopped talking, and seemed to be waiting for a response. Dahkapa felt tired again as his hatred was extinguished as quickly as it had been lit. He looked at the Skakdi, and suddenly he felt pity towards the poor being, who was filled with hatred.

"What makes you so angry?" Dahkapa asked with an exhausted but calm voice. The Toa inside of him knew, that this was pointless, but the matoran wanted to try. He still prepared his tired body to defend if she would attack.

OoC: I'm doing some character development, this is his first real combat situation after all.

  15. IC: Dahkapa

His kick missed badly, and the Skakdi thrusted her sword towards his chest. But Dahkapa's shield was ready and the blow was deflected as it hit the shield. Dahkapa pushed forward, stumbling a bit, as he swept the blade aside with his shield and struck at her with an overhead swing. He suddenly felt less exhausted, and he wasn't sure if it was because of adrenaline running through his veins again or because the Skakdi's vision no longer drained his strength.

  16. IC: Dahkapa

His thoughts were a convoluted mess, and part of him was angry that he had allowed the Skakdi to pick up her weapon again. Other part of him patted him on the back for being so honourable and brave. That other part was soon consumed by hatred..

"Yes. And I said 'fight'!" he shouted and charged towards the Skakdi now. The last time he had felt angry was countless decades ago. But now, hatred started to burn in his heart, as the Skakdi started to annoy him more and more. That hatred gave him strength.

As soon as he was near, he kicked at her legs, ready to strike with his hammer and shield..

OoC: Some people tend to be rather grumpy when they're tired. Dahkapa's decision making is hampered quite badly by his anger.

  17. IC: Dahkapa

The sharp edge of his metal shield cut through the vines, and he was free to move again. But then, he felt even more tired, and he noticed the Skakdi staring at him. He was so tired and dizzy that he could've fallen asleep right there on his feet. But he didn't. Instead, he used his powers to shatter the ice that was encasing her weapon and feet.

"Fight" he mumbled. His eyes kept trying to close, and the glow of his eyes became dimmer..

I must fight, he thought. Mata Nui give me strength.

  18. OoC: When did she manage to reload the zamor launcher?

    IC: Dahkapa

Skakdi's sword fell on the ground. He had tried to shatter it with his protosteel hammer, but only a small fracture appeared on the blade. But before he managed to attack the swordless beast, she launched yet another glowing ball. He was too close to react to it in time, and he was quickly entangled in vines.

I can't allow her to get her sword while I'm stuck, he thought, and used his elemental powers to encase the blade and the Skakdi's feet in ice as he tried to tear apart the vines. He felt like he could've fallen asleep if he wasn't in a combat situation like this..

OoC: I'm on my phone and the color and the italics are not working, I'll fix it later.

    Edit:fixed

  19. IC: The Deceiver

"And where can I find this 'Echelon'?" She asked sternly from the poor matoran, who was bound to a chair by tight ropes. He mumbled something, possibly pleaded for mercy. Which was something he had done for two hours now.

"I-I don't know. Please don't kill me! I have a sister.." he sobbed.

He had been a useful source of information, although she had to torture him for an annoyingly long time. This time he had refused to answer the same question for a third time already. It seemed that the poor adventurer didn't know everything.

"Very well then. You have told me more about this island than I need - or want- to know." She was invisible, thanks to his mask. The matoran couldn't know which one of his fingers he would have lost next. He only had two left.

"Will you let me go?" he asked with a faltering voice.

"Only, if you abandon your false god Mata Nui and praise Makuta's name" She said coldly.

The matoran seemed to think for a moment. And then, with surprising confidence in his voice, he said "Never."

"Very well, then" she said and walked behind the matoran, who could only hear her footsteps for a moment. Then, there was unnerving silence.

With a single swing of her masterfully crafted protosteel longsword, his head was severed, and it fell on the floor, accompanied by a loud thump.

A gruesome fountain of blood appeared where the head had just been. The head itself seemed to be staring into her eyes, even if she was still invisible. The Deceiver thought that it was amusing.

    ---

Daretaki walked out of the abandoned hut in the outskirts of the town. The duststorm had ended a day ago, and she had immediately went to visit the local tavern. There, she found what she was looking for, when a drunk adventurer claimed to have visited every location imaginable on the island over the years. She had thought that it was an exaggeration, but drunk people sometimes had a seed of truth in their speech. The risk was worth it, because after she led him to her 'home', he had proven to be an excellent source of information. There was a group of Makuta worshippers on the island, who called themselves the 'Legacy'. They were lead by a man called Echelon, but that was everything he had known about them. He had told her about the geography and the cities of the island as well, among various other things. Such as the fact that he was a murderer, but those things were unimportant. She would head out of town as soon as possible..

Suddenly, she noticed something strange about a person that was walking on the streets. She felt, that the person was.. undead. She didn't know how she could sence that, but she was certain of it.

Daretaki approached the walking corpse. It was late at night and they were the only people on the street..

OoC: Mr. House, would you mind some interaction between 'Daretaki' and Ardron? I'm not sure how the zombies work in this, but she needs to find out where Echelon is (I do know, he is in Ko-Koro right now, but she doesn't).

  20. OoC: This is snowballing into one, epic battle! Good to see some people joining the good guys as well :)

    IC: Dahkapa

The she-Skakdi dodged his hammer, and struck at him with her crude stone sword. Dahkapa managed to deflect the hit with his shield, but the sword was surprisingly heavy, and he stumbled backwards. I am so tired, he thought. But I can't give up. In the name of Mata Nui, I can't give up!

He remained as silent as a glacier when he swung his war hammer from the left, aiming at the Skakdi's granite blade.

  21. That mask certainly looks a lot better than the one in the leaked coloured picture.

I'll be a happy man when/if* Bionicle comes back. Not that I will buy any of the sets, but because a whole new generation of kids are going to have awesome time with it.

*Yes, I take everything unofficial with a grain of salt. Bionicle or not.

  22. IC: Dahkapa

The Skakdi leaped away from him, and he deactivated his Hau shield. He turned slightly and after taking a step closer, quickly tried to strike with his hammer at her back..

OoC: Does she need to reload her Zamor launcher everytime or does it hold multiple spheres (a la Toa Inika style)?
