  1. It's definitely the prototype Mask of Creation. The leaked display images from back in July show Tahu reaching out to grab it.
  2. Whoa. Your friend is a true mask maker. You really like the Vahi, don't you? That's pretty awesome. Now find a way to make the mask actually work. (Unless it already does... )
  3. Episode 4: "The Magical Harp of Randomness" is here!!!
  4. That page isn't supposed to be there. It's supposed to be available as a freewith purchase item only, but thanks to this, you can now own 2 packs instead of one. I really hope this happens in the U.S. too, because I want more than one of that polybag.
  5. If the same error shows up in March, I'm gonna get 10 too, because I want a sealed set for collectors' value, 3 to play with (one for Tahu, one for PoF, and one for some random MOC), and 6 to trade with people for things I don't have like a Vahi or something. Also, check this out: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/wghost/heropack/2015-01-31_22.22.53.jpg LOL Prototype Mask of Creation on the package art. How did Lego overlook that???
  6. It's at Targets near me as well. I think it has grown more niche with time, actually. I may be suffering from comparisonitis, but in previous times, we had System, Technic, and Bionicle. Now these days we have so many names under the System label, whereas constraction only has a theme and maybe an offshoot of another System theme over here...it really seems a function of Lego's investment in the theme, versus System. Also, I question whether Chima was really a blockbuster hit. That theme seems to be ending, and I don't see anyone trying to make a movie out of it. Chima ended because it was supposed to end in 2015. Juts like how Ninjago was supposed to end in 2013, but it was so successful that Lego extended it, and after The Lego Movie, it was even announced to be getting its own movie. So Ninjago exceeded expectations and became the Bionicle of System sets. Chima was pushed to become a big hit like Ninjago, but right now its like Ninjago during 2013. The theme feels like its ending. Back in 2013 on the Lego Message Boards, there was this big announcement telling everyone that Ninjago would continue into 2014, and there was this neat poster of Zane's face as he appears in the Ninjacopter set. I haven't seen any announcements for Chima staying, but technically Chima isn't over just yet. Chima is actually getting just 3 more sets this summer, which is supposed to be the final wave. Ninjago never got a Summer wave in 2013 because either Lego wasn't expecting Ninjago's success, or they were trying to make way for Chima. Likewise, I doubt Chima will get a Winter 2015/16 wave. However, there is a chance that Chima will get a Summer 2016 wave... if it was successful enough to be extended beyond its original 3-year plan. Interestingly enough, Bionicle is sort of in the same position as Ninjago & Chima have been. It's at the start of its 3-year run, and it has 3 years to prove itself worthy of being extended. EDIT: Attention all European buyers! Here's how you can get mutiple Hero Packs, or just get one if you don't intend on buying anything except it! http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Hero-Pack-5002941 Also, check out that prototype Mask of Creation on the packaging. I guess the Mask of Creation design change must have been fairly late, because they'd already finished designing the package art for the promotional set. That, or that prototype was just a placeholder until they finished designing the actual thing. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/wghost/heropack/2015-01-31_22.22.53.jpg
  7. It might be a response to the fact that there's only five new sets being released. I doubt there's any truth behind that, but I have been wrong in the past. But it also means that there's two less sets that might have have unique builds. And it might also mean two less sets that could have included marbled Tahu & Gali masks. That better just be crazy speculation. And if there were 2 sets that were cancelled, I would guess that it would be because those two sets weren't good enough to pass the Lego standards. (Like the Ninjago Serpentine Train, which was a set that never got past the early design stage because it didn't meet the standards or something.)The Serpentine Train was never intended to become a set. It was simply a MOC by Mark Stafford showing just how you could "snakify" any type of vehicle (in this case, the Emerald Night). Likewise, the idea that two summer 2015 BIONICLE sets were cancelled is probably complete bunk. Back before the first wave of sets was even released, a leaked document from a LEGO store (mostly just guidelines on how to respond to frequently asked questions like "what is the BIONICLE story" or "why was BIONICLE cancelled" or "why did you bring BIONICLE back") confirmed that there were only going to be five sets for the summer. Oh yeah, I remember that document. I really hope marbled Tahu & Gali masks show up somewhere. (Just imagine, they could show up as SDCC or NYCC exclusives and drive all the collectors nuts. )Thinking ahead of ourselves, but don't rule our dec. 2016 sets. I hope that doesn't mean that we'll be getting the same characters for a few more years...cough Hero Factory cough Actually I'm almost certain that that's exactly what will happen. At least until 2018.

  9. What a coincidence; I just bought Pohatu and he is as bland as a butter sandwich. I like butter sandwiches.

That train was only an example of how to snakify any set by Mark Stafford.
  11. Must be Bionicle's reboot causing interest in Bionicle stuff to increase or something.
  12. Looks like Lego finally got the license for Star Wars action figures. I'm guessing that Disney has managed to convince Hasbro that Lego Action Figures are exempt from the licensing issues because they're still building toys or something. Or maybe Lego & Hasbro are now sharing the license. Whatever the case, I'm looking forward to these. Good to know that Bionicle won't be the only Constraction theme this year.
  13. I got Macku's body + Gali Mata's Kaukau from an unofficial Lego-selling store called "Minifigs Bricks and More". The parts were in this huge table filled with random Lego parts. I bought a whole ziploc-bagfull of mostly Constraction-related parts, and built Hahli's 2001-2002 form, which technically isn't an actual set but there weren't any Hunas so yeah. I later added one of those System 3-flower parts + 2 of the flowers, stuck it into one of the gaps on the top of her head, and made her look like her appearance at the end of the 2002 Bohrok Animations.
  14. Take a Technic liftarm that looks like this: OOO O O + two 3-modules-long Technic pins +a HF 2.0 Shield piece Put them together and you have back-armor for almost every CCBS MOC that lacks it. Alternatively you can use a CCBS foot or Metru foot as back-armor.
  15. Wait... is that a Nindroid fighting a ghost? Is it just me or does every army villain end up fighting for good? The Skeletons fought the Snakes, the Snakes helped save the people of New Ninjago City, and now the Nindroids (who we already knew were acting as security droids for Cyrus Borg) are now fighting ghosts? Next we're going to see the ghosts fighting whatever villain comes next. And those Bionicle villains are really neat. Hoping that the marbled Tahu & Gali masks show up somewhere! (Another polybag set perhaps?)
  16. Why can't Lego have both polybags during one month? One for System sets and one for Constraction sets? I think I've seen that before. And it's possible that the first half of march will have one polybag and the second half will have another, which is something which is already being done in the UK during February. (Get that polybag before its gone, folks! )
  17. Since this is the CCBS system, I seriously doubt they're going to be any less strong than any other parts. Unless you're talking aesthetic-wise rather than how durable the parts are. Also, those pictures have me even more excited for the summer wave! Skull Slicer looks really neat, and Ekimu VS. Skull Grinder not only has 2 awesome-looking figures, but also the Mask of Creation, so it's an instant must-buy. Also, Grinder's base CCBS torso is... SILVER? That could be pretty useful in MOCs... Also, Skull Scorpio is now confirmed to have a grabbing tail-stinger-thing. Apparently you could swap out some of the parts on his legs and make them poseable fairly easily, but I probably won't need to move his legs anyway since I'll be using that grab function so much.
  18. I like that Skull Basher has a unique action feature! I was worried all the humanoid baddies would have the same type of gear function as the Toa, but Skull Basher's arms seem to swing horizontally rather than vertically, using a similar function to Dragon Bolt's wings. Whoa, I just noticed that! Cool!
  19. That...would be kind of awesome. I very much doubt it's the case, but it would be really awesome. Man. Just imagining that. Wow. After all, who what ever happened to the sixth Toa in the team? Is he/she the Lord of Skull Spiders, but mutated in the same way Skull Scorpio was? Who says every Toa team has 6 members, especially in the rebooted story?
  20. *Tahu sneaks up on Basher* *Tahu tries to bob of Skull Basher's mask* *He wasn't able to it hard enough* *Basher turns around and bashes Tahu* Also, Ekimu looks even better than I had hoped! Too bad he seems to not have transparent light blue eyes though. It makes him just a little less accurate to his appearance in "The Legend". But oh well, fluorescent green lights up better.
  21. What??? This is your finale for your series of 2001 Rahi creations? But... it is but a Matoran! Oh, were you expecting something else? Something like... THIS?!?!?!? *The Bionicle Music starts playing* Great job! As small and relatively simple as this MOC is, it really captures the feel of Makuta's MNOG appearance, which is one of my favorite moments in that game. Those swirly tentacle vortex things are pretty neat, and the group shots of the revamped 2001 Rahi look great as well!
  22. There was this leak or something of I think next month's Lego Shop newsletter, and apparently there's going to be a Bionicle polybag in March. I have no doubts that it's going to be the transparent orange Mask of Fire.
  23. Episode 3 of Lego GoofEbay has arrived! This episode is called "Super Ultra Mega Rare Hard to Find Stuff!!!"
