  1. IC: Draco I shrug. "Just a couple basics. The duel is over when one forfeits or is incapable of fighting back. No lethal blows. You can use whatever weapons and powers you have, but don't manipulate the arena to your advantage. This is just between you and me." I say, sheathing my swords and drawing Necrosmith in hammer form. IC: Carraig My attention turns away from the squabbling brothers to notice two much larger Rahkshi, staring each other down. It seemed as though a much more interesting fight was about to take place. So, I call out to Revenge and Danger, "If you want a good example of a battle, I believe you should turn your attention that way." I say, pointing towards Draco and Punishment.
  2. IC: Draco I parry a blow from the final training dummy, before stabbing it in the gut. I was preparing to summon a few more when Punishment called out to me. I turn to him. "Greetings. I suppose you are ready for our duel, then?" I say, my tone carefree, as if this duel wasn't that big of a deal to me. I wanted to see how he reacted. IC: Shock I watch Melody go off and grab food, before turning back to my task. Do I need help... I stop for a moment. I was completely alone in everything now. Nightmare was dead, killed by that blasted wacko Lerahk. Torch was nowhere to be seen, also, so I was completely alone. I had nobody to turn to. All I had in this blasted school were some enemies, most of which considered me... Irrelevant. I was just a nuisance. I might not even last that long... I needed someone to watch my back... No. I needed more. I needed someone to follow. See, I'm not completely dumb. I recognize what I am: a wild Rahi, with no guidance on what I need to do. Sure, I might occasionally be harmful, but I just... Do things. I ain't a leader. No, leave scheming and talking to those that enjoy doing it. At the end of the day, I'm just a weapon, a weapon that needs guidance to be the most effective it can be. But who? I ponder this as I continue my cleanup task.
  3. IC: Draco I arrived in the gym, and took in the urban arena that lay before me. Blast it. I should have been there. Now I'm going to fall further and further behind my fellow Prefects... Behind Sliver... I clench my fist. If she was anything like I remembered, she would be in that arena, terrorizing the other students in some way or form, while growing stronger. This was a mistake that I could not have afforded to make, yet here I was, standing outside, looking in, wondering who all was in there. And there was nothing I could do but watch. NO! There is always something you can do, even if it's not the best. I'm not going to sit around, feeling sorry for myself, just because I missed an opportunity of growth. No, I will continue to grow stronger, even if it's just one dummy at a time. I must get stronger to serve the Makuta and the students I watch over. That is the only thing I should be doing, nothing more. With that in mind, I draw my two swords, and summon a couple of dummies with arms holding swords, which would attack me. I knew I was not the greatest at defense, often putting myself into a position where I would use my cyclone powers and revert the fight back to neutral. It was not a proper way to fight, no matter who you are. So, I summon one of the dummies to rush at me, and attack me with a downward slash. As I see the slash heading towards me, I place my swords in an X above me, to stop the blow. Sure enough, the blade comes to a halt, and I throw the blade off towards my left, which would off balance an opponent normally. While I do that, I spin around, and in one clean motion, I decapitate the dummy cleanly with my left sword. Again. I continued this pattern of counter attacking the dummies, while I waited for my opponent. IC: Mortsia My legs done with this color-training, as I have decided to call it, I needed to put in my feints to confuse my enemies. But right now... I need food. something filling and delicious and weak and easy to hunt, something with life that I must snuff out, hack and slash anD DESTRO- I stop for a moment, my fists clenched, terrified. Where were these thoughts coming from? Surely... Surely they weren't mine? I look around the room wildly. Nothing. Outside then. I open the door, to... An empty hallway. I start to shake. Surely this must be some trick to throw me off, a prankster... Who can put thoughts into my head. In desperation, I shout out this: "O trickster, heed my warning! You cease your foolishness! Your tricks cause warring, your pranks bring darkness. What wish you want fulfilled? To destroy your brethren? Surely comradery is best to build Rather than prod at the beast's den." No answer. I start to shake again. What if... What if this wasn't some prankster? What if it was... Me? Calm down. It was just a passing thought. That didn't really ease my anxiety. I needed to talk to someone. Not a healer, no. If this was a wound, it wasn't of the physical kind, so i shouldn't bother Palma. I needed someone who knew the spirit. So, with a goal in mind, I hop onto a nearby wall, climb up onto the ceiling, and begin crawling to find someone who could help me. IC: Dahl Well, this is kinda boring. I sigh as I close my book on weapons. Last time I was here, a fight broke out, but now... It seemed as though the only fight here was one of the verbal kind. In other words, not to interesting to watch. I don't need to listen to a couple of Rahkshi argue as if they were a buncha squabllin Gukkos. So, I place my book on the shelf, and begin to walk out to find something better to do. IC: Carraig I nodded, although dodging wasn't exactly a strategy I liked. Why dodge when you could just stop the blow like it was nothing, and see the fear in your enemies eyes? Don't think like that right now. You need to become absolutely unbreakable, but you aren't there yet. Anyone with a hammer will mess your day up if you just take the blows. Now don't misunderstand me. I'm not one to be fancy and dodge everything with beauty and grace. But... I was not immune to all harm yet. So, I needed to be sensible on everything I did, even if I didn't like it. So I continue watching the brothers' teaching session. OOC: Mortsia and Dahl OFI
  4. IC: Shock Heh. Do I need help? Maybe, but not with this. And I ain't about to spill my sob story to some random stranger, so no, I don't. Was what my mind told me to say. But... What if I could manipulate them?... Nah. Wasn't my style. I just kinda punch things. None of this plotty schemey garbage that others do. "I should be fine on my own. Thanks for the offer." I say to Melody. Was this nicer than usual? Absolutely. But the last thing I needed was this obviously very soft Rahk to go running off and bring another Prefect executing their... Judgement on me. I wince in pain as I pick up another bowl.
  5. IC: Mortsia I finally throw out a punch, changing colors as I throw it out, before instantly reverting to my normal state. I smile a little. Let's try this again now. LA! RA! LA! I throw out punches in that order, each punch changing my arm's color briefly before changing back. I try this trick a couple more times, before becoming satisfied. Now the legs... Let's go LL and RL respectively. "LL." I say while imagining my body change to the coloration of my armor, save my left leg changing color to the neon green. Sure enough, it happens, but slowly. I keep repeating the process until I only have to think LL for my leg to change. Satisfied, I then start throwing out kicks with my left leg slowly, willing my leg to change color, before shutting off my power immediately after it would have hit. I'll get the hang of this new style in no time. IC: Dahl My brief session of wandering took me into the library, a place that should be quiet... The key word being should. Alas, there was some squabble going on between a couple of Rahkshi, one of which being an absolute unit of a Rahk. Yeah... I'm not gonna get involved in that one... So, I decide to grab a book on all sorts of different weapons, sit down, and just read. IC: Carraig "The goal of a wider stance is to give you a strong base, so you aren't easily knocked over. If I come over there and push you, ask yourself: would you fall down?" I say to Danger, leaning on my claymore. Hopefully I'm not over stepping my boundaries here. OOC: Dahl (and technically Mortsia) OFI.
  6. IC: Shock I sigh. Had they interacted with me earlier asking for a fight, I would have jumped at the opportunity. But right now... "Gym is that way." I say, pointing in the direction of the gym. "As for me, I ain't really in any condition to fight right now." I turn around so Vigilem can see the massive dent in my armor from that blasted Prefect's hammer.
  7. IC: Shock Without looking up from my task, I say, "What do you want?" I don't want to talk to people. I just want to get this done so I can get healed. IC: Carraig "Do you mind if I watch, maybe give a couple of pointers? If not, that's fine." I say. Truth be told, I did want to help, but this wasn't exactly something you could stand firm on if they disagreed with you.
  8. IC: Dahl I think that's my cue to leave. "Well, it's been a pleasure conversing with you both." I bow again, before departing to simply wander about the halls. IC: Draco "Well, in that case, I will meet you there." I say, a slight smile on my face. With that, I turn to head to the gym and await my opponent. Perhaps they will be a worthy opponent for me to fight against. It's been too long since my last fight... IC: Carraig I turn to the new voice. "No idea. I just got here myself." I say. OOC: Dahl OFI.
  9. IC: Dahl "I suppose..." I say with a shrug. "I think the thing here is that we aren't going to be seeing eye to eye on this issue. Not much that can be done. I'll stick to my opinion, and you stick to yours." IC: Draco This was an arrogant one, that's for sure. Reminds me a bit of my younger self. "Well alright then. Shall we spar now or later?" IC: Carraig As I enter the gym, I am greeted by the sight of a massive building. Odd... I suppose it's some sort of test, though. I look around. No one else was here, although sounds could be heard inside the building. Well... I guess I'll just wait for someone to show up so I can spar. OOC: Carraig OFI.
  10. IC: Shock So I decided that my first move would be to pick up all the bowls that were scattered about. So, I slowly set about, picking up all empty bowls, wincing in pain every time I had to crouch down. That blasted Prefect just had to make it soooooo much more difficult. If I was higher level, I would utterly crush him... Or maybe not. He didn't even hit me with any of his powers. I sigh, and continue on. IC: Dahl I was about to follow up on my next point when I saw how my words were deeply affecting Melody. I take a deep breath. "I... May have taken things too far. I am deeply sorry, Melody. I didn't mean to draw so many emotions." I say, with an apologetic bow. Let it be known, this was not me mocking the soft nature of the Rahkshi before me. No, I sincerely just wanted to have a friendly conversation. IC: Draco Ah, he was a fighter. That was a language that I spoke quite well. "I see. Well, Punishment, my name is Draco. I'll take you up on that offer for a spar, but fair warning, I am not like other Rahkshi you might fight." I say, smiling at this newcomer. It had been ages since I have had a good fight, and a chance to spar against a Rahkshi solely oriented around combat excited me.
  11. IC: Draco Alright, that was kinda weird. Normally, people don't start off a conversation wanting to learn about a weapon. He hasn't even asked for my name. "It can switch between a scythe and a hammer... Why do you want to know?" I ask. I decided to leave out a description of Necrosmith's energy drain and method of release of said energy. I didn't exactly trust him, and if I made my weapon seem as valuable as it is, he might try to steal it. Could I stop him? Absolutely. But it wasn't worth the trouble. IC: Dahl "Ah, but you are forgetting a few crucial elements. It's true that we have the ability to rise above our primitive nature. But what if a student doesn't want to? Well, you can't force them to not fight at a school designed to train us to fight. And if one student goes around picking a fight, and won't take no for an answer, well, you would have to defend yourself, correct? Lest you be in danger of serious harm, or even worse, death. Try as you might, you cannot change the mind of every Rahkshi here."
  12. IC: Dahl "Very true. In theory, if we were all a bunch of civilized beings who could discuss our problems and solve them in a civil manner, then there would be no fighting. However, in practice..." I shake my head. "We are members of a species that, up until recently, was focused solely on combat. It's in our blood to fight. You may have risen above that primitive instinct, but the vast majority of students? Nah, they are still a bunch of hot heads." I say with a shrug. IC: Draco Of course I'm impressive. That isn't news there. "I suppose you mean Necrosmith. In that case, it was a trophy from our raid on Phantom-on-the-Water, which Gorast arranged."
  13. IC: Dahl I was a little surprised at Canvas's apparent lack of care at the scream. Just another day at Corpus, I suppose... "Well, nevermind about that, I suppose... Anyways, where were we? Ah, yes. Fighting for the sake of fighting certainly does seem useless... That said, an agreed upon duel between two equally skilled opponents can be a good way to settle disagreements."
  14. IC: Shock As I enter the Refectory, I look around. Well, this sucks. Had that blasted coward not run away and cried to the Prefect, I wouldn't be in this situation. But noooo. He just couldn't finish his own battle. In frustration, I lick a nearby bowl. Apparently, the Porter that Prefect sent did not like that. It chittered angrily at me. "Oh, shut up." I say with annoyance. "Just show me where the cleaning supplies are." The Porter gestures to a nearby door. "Can't even get them for me, can you? Fine." I slowly make my way to the door, and upon opening it, see all the cleaning supplies I could ever need. Might be a bit easier than I thought. I pull out a cart completely equipped with a trash can, a bucket of water, several mops and brooms, and some sort of container, probably for the bowls. Let's finish this quickly so I can go back to doing the fun stuff. IC: Draco Admittedly, I was still a little angry at my brief encounter with that Panrahk, so when Punishment came to me to talk, I almost snapped back a response. Deep breaths... Relax. "Of course. What do you need?" I reply in a calm, collected manner.
  15. IC: Draco Let me make this clear: I do not appreciate being stared at by anybody. It either means they are judging how much of an idiot I am, or they are trying to figure out the best way to beat me. So when this apparent Panrahk passed me, staring at me with those analytical eyes, I couldn't help but let out a low growl. If he wants to challenge me and my status, then let him come. I am prepared for any member of the student body.
  16. IC: Draco and Shock (Draco POV) "Good hits? Yeah right, you barely touched mE-" The white and blue Rahkshi is cut off as I put more pressure on him. I nod slowly at Grakata's recollection of things, before looking back down at Shock. "Is this true?" I demand, loosening the pressure a little so he could talk. "Mostly... He didn't get any good hits off, but yeah, I shot at them, partly because of their disgusting, friendly interactions, and partly cause I was bored. Can you blame me though?" "Yes, I can." "Oh... Well good for you." I shake my head. This Rahkshi may be a trouble maker, but... "Were you planning on killing them?" "Nah. I just wanted them to stop being so content and happy with life. Also, I haven't had a good fight in ages. The last one... Well, I'm still mad at that little midget energetic Rahkshi dude... Thing. Point is, I just wanted a fight, not kill." I sigh. As annoying as he is, I don't think he would be the type to outright kill a Rahkshi just for fun. "Alright. As punishment then, you are to clean the Refectory up from the mess that was most certainly made from your fight. You will not leave until the place is spotless. Understand?" I say to Shock. "What about my wounds?" He asks. "You can treat them after the place is spotless." I respond, not willing to budge on my position. Shock pauses, but then nods his head. I lift my foot, releasing him. Slowly, Shock stands, obviously hurt, before flashing one last smile at Grakata and turning to go to the Refectory. As I watch him go, I beckon a Porter over. "Once that student is in the Refectory, do not let him leave until the place is clean." I say, pointing at Shock. The Porter nods, making a whirring sound, before following him. With that done, I turn back to the other students. "As for the rest of you... Get yourself healed up by Palma, and continue your daily business."
  17. IC: Carraig Well that was... A complete waste of time. Sighing, I place the claymore on my back as I watch them fly out. Maybe I should go after them... No. If one of them was willing to run away, it wouldn't even be worth watching. They could not stand firm, and I don't want to pick up on their habits. Stay true, and stand your ground against anything. That's all I need in my life. While I am thinking this, I hold my weathered rock in my hand. Where to now? Well... I would love to spar against one of the other students. I've been itching for a good duel. So, with a new purpose in mind, I begin to make my way to where Dormirahk said the gym was. IC: Mortsia With my full form mastered, I decided to go next to my arms. For my left arm, it should be LA, and right should be RA. Easy enough to remember, and quick enough to be of use. So, I set off on the same procedure as I did for my Full Form. "LA." I say, as I imagine myself turning into the same color I am now, except for the fact that my lower left arm was neon green. I look at my left arm, and smile a little bit as I deactivate my powers. This will work. I repeat the procedure several more times, with each time the transformation happening a little faster than the last. At last, I simply think, LA, and I instantly transform. Satisfied with the outcome, I then do the exact same procedure for my right arm, only using RA this time, until I can so it instantly with only the thought of the word. Now then... LA! RA! LA! I think, as I throw out a left hook with my arm turning colors perfectly, then my right, then... Oh. My left arm did not change back to normal as I intended to. I was too busy focusing on quickly changing colors that I didn't think of changing back to normal instantly afterwards... No matter. I can do that with some practice. Deciding to start slowly, I throw out a left handed punch while thinking LA, then, when my fist would have hit the target, I deactivate my powers. I do the same thing again a couple more times. Now... Let's start to speed up.
  18. IC: Draco and Shock (Draco POV) Well, that was a sudden change of pace. I take the chalk board, briefly read over it, and then hand it to the one called A!. "Hold on a moment." I step forward, waiting for this attacker. Sure enough, he rounds the corner, his face in a maniacal grin... Until he sees me. "Oh... You've gotta be kidding me..." He tries to exit flight mode and come to a stop, but he slides forwards, ever closer to me. I step to the side, then, in one swift motion, I draw Necrosmith in its hammer form, and swing it in a horizontal fashion just as he passes me. I hit him square in his lower back, and because of the force of my swing, he slides forward several more feet, theis time on his back, screaming in pain. I make my way over to him just as he was about to pick himself up, and step on his gut, forcing him flat on his back. Looking into his eyes, I saw pure disdain for me. I, on the other hand, could care less about him. He was merely another Rahkshi, maybe not rebellious, but most certainly a trouble maker. "If you so much as try to escape or do any other ridiculous shenanigans, I will force this down upon you with all of my might." I snarl, holding Necrosmith right above his head. He hissed back at me, but made no attempts to escape. I'll take that as his agreement. With that done, I turn to the others. "Now... Explain to me what happened, slowly." I say, eyes narrowing. I could not be trusting at all in this situation, no matter how innocent they may be. Too many Rahkshi who would try to manipulate me, and a written explanation would make lying far easier than if they explained it to me to my face.
  19. IC: Shock I cough as the blow to my throat made it rather hard to breathe, as well as knock me on the ground.. As I recover, I look up, only to see the coward running from the battle! What a weenie... "Oi, get back here! I ain't finished with you yet!" grabbing my launcher, I shoot a Zamor Sphere at him, before reholstering my weapon, switching to flight mode, and taking after him, sword in hand. IC: Carraig I enter where the noise had originally originated from. I guess this is the refectory... It looked to be an absolute mess, in large part due to the fight that was occurring. I don't know if I should join in... Wouldn't be exactly fair to either side. However... I want to see how this plays out. So, I stand to the side of the entrance, while holding my sword in front of me in your standard knight fashion, so as to observe what the students here were capable of.
  20. IC: Draco I frown slightly. Clearly this Rahk is not one for social interactions. I glance at the one called A!, who was showing Lost something written on his hand. If he caused this, should he be punished?... No. He was startled, and I'm guessing his power is Power Scream. Still... I turn my full body to A!. "If I were you, I would probably get a handle on my powers, so another one of these incidents occur. I realize it isn't your fault, but any precaution you can take will be a good one." I say, all while stretching myself out. If there was to be a fight, then I wanted to be as ready as possible.
  21. IC: Draco As I was making my way towards the potential disturbance, I notice a group of three Rahkshi, one of which was being carried, slowly making their way to what could only be the Infirmary, judging from the expression of pain that was on the small Rahk's face. I frown and hurry over to them. "What happened?" I ask the Rahkshi with a tail who was carrying the smaller Rahk.
  22. IC: Shock Y'know, if there's one thing Rahkshi feet are good for, it's kicking the ever living daylight out of you. And judging by how he was pulling me closer, he was gonna go for one of those knock-your-socks-off kinda kicks. Bit too close to avoid, but... I release the staff between my arm and body, and angle myself so that my sword armis in a straight line with my shoulders. Grakata's foot scrapes my chest, certainly causing discomfort but not really pushing me anywhere. With that out of the way, I quickly holster my Zamor Launcher, before placing my other hand at the handle of my sword, and pulling with all my might to free both my sword and hand from Grakata. All the while, I am pumping as much electricity as I can through my sword and into Grakata.
  23. IC: Shock Grakata would find that he did not have enough force with one arm to cut my arm off while I was still pressing it to my body. "NICE TRY MATE." I yell, with a slight smile. I then let electricity flow through my body, and hopefully through the staff and Grakata, while at the same time using my other arm, sword in hand, to slash at Grakata's side.
  24. IC: Shock Well then. To be honest, I didn't really expect him to come right up to me. And the audacity to try and break my toy! "BOI, DON'T DO IT!" I say as I move my arm up to avoid my blaster. Once the end of the staff moves past my arm, I then move my arm back down with the intent to squeeze the staff between my arm and my body, all while sending electricity coursing through me.
  25. IC: Shock I slowly pick myself up off the ground, and pick up my sword and Zamor launcher. Oh, what devastating potential! If I had a friend like that... Well first, I would need something to cover my ears, but then... Harassment of this forsaken place would be soooooo much easier. I grin to myself as I think of all the possibilities of a big yell. Well, can't really approach him about him, seeing as I just... Well, shot at him. Ah well. Speaking of them... I turn to see the group whom I just shot at... Wait. There was only three of them originally. But now four!? Even a highly skilled, master swordsman like myself would have difficulty against that. Well... Let's wait and see if they attack me as a group or not.
