  1. IC: Draco What was that racket? I take a glance behind me to a certainly bizarre sight. A Rahkshi, riding along on a set of quake breakers. Just another day. Why was I even remotely surprised? Shaking my head, I turn to the Rahkshi in question. "Is it really necessary to ride those obnoxiously loud skates, when you could literally just fly to where you need to go?" I say, not bothering to hide the annoyance in my voice.
  2. IC: Dahl Ah, footsteps. I look up to see a Rahkshi painted white. Wow, it's been a while since I've actually seen another Rahkshi. You would've thought that almost all of them left... Eh. Whatever. Looking back on things, I realized that I hadn't made very many allies. Kinda hypocritical, now that I think of it. Well, hopefully I can start changing that. Turning my fullest attention to Melody, though I did not know her name yet, I bow in an exaggerated manner, while saying, "Why hello there. And who might I have the pleasure of speaking to?"
  3. IC: Draco This place, I have determined, is cursed with a sense of timelessness. No one ever knows how long has passed, and quite frankly, no one seems to care. I know I didn't for the longest time. After all, I was content to simply stop thinking and enforce the will of the Makuta. Why should I care about something as irrelevant as time? I thought this way. Until now, just lying here in my dorm. I could have been laying here for perhaps ten minutes, possibly several weeks, or maybe even two years. When did I even get here? I have a duty to do. But... I'm just... Lying here. Simply doing nothing. It's pathetic. Duty. I chuckle slightly. When did I ever become so obsessed with duty? Ever since I have been here, I know that duty has been the only thing that I have thought of. I MUST enforce the will of the Makuta, I MUST protect the student body from themselves, I MUST hunt down and make my sitter bow before the Makuta. All of these things, I needed to do, without ever a thought of myself. Was I selfless? I wouldn't call myself that. No, I was simply a Rahkshi doing what it does best: serve a higher power. After all, that was what I was meant to do. Nothing more, nothing less. Perhaps you were made for that, a small voice says, but that doesn't mean you can't be more. Once upon a time, I would have considered these views as not only treason, but heretical as well. Now though, I simply accept this as a reality of my nature. Just because I was born to be a weapon doesn't mean I can't become something more. The problem is, I know that I will never not bow to the Makuta. I will always be their weapon, an extension of their will. I fully embrace that. I just don't want to die as another faceless Rahkshi. I want to live my own life, have my own story, and be remembered not just as a particularly large Rahkshi, but as Draco the warrior, Draco the prefect, Draco the mighty... Maybe not the last one. Well, lying around is not going to get anything done. With a grunt, I push myself up off of my bed, and open the door to a perhaps changed Corpus Rahkshi. IC: Dahl Y'know, one thing I'll say about this place is this: Everyone seems so #### serious. Like seriously. Can nobody crack a smile for a joke, even if it is admittedly bad? Look, I get it. The fate of the world is in our hands and whatnot. Fine, whatever. But while we are learning how we can do our part, it wouldn't hurt to have some fun. After all, the friends we make here might be our partners in combat in the future. Oh, and another thing: The food is downright horrid. You would think that perhaps over the time that this fine establishment would have at least somewhat improved their food. But noooOOOoo. It just had to be utterly terrible. Wishing I had just gone out to the garden and just ate some of the flowers, I get up and throw away the rest of this utter garbage fire of a meal to roam the hallways, maybe meet someone, and either joke around or get into an old fashioned brawl. OOC: Hello again to everyone! Also, Draco and Dahl OFI.
  4. So uh It's been a minute since I've last logged in. Haven't read through everything yet, but how are all of you fine people?
  5. IC: Leviathan - Gym "Unadulterated strength is not everything in a fight. Sure, perhaps it helps, but cunning is key. So, your comrade may not be able to save you when he is most needed. OOC: Others later.
  6. IC: Draco - Hallways The blade indeed connected to my right hand. Nothing I could do about. I stopped spinning with a grunt of pain. I would not tolerate this whelp's insolence. I let go with my right, but before Pyle could ever have a chance to recover, I make a quick sweeping motion with my right leg, cyclonic powers assisting it's speed, with the intent to hit Pyle's other leg, and knock him to the ground. IC: Dahl - Library Oh great. The #### was awake. Sarcastically, I say, "You're dead, and we're taking you to your funeral to be buried. Horribly tragic, how you were killed in battle. But so glorious, what with you getting knocked over with a tiny little sonic burst." IC: Leviathan - Gym "Fair enough. Even so, you must not dismiss the tournament as a mere show. It's an opportunity to perhaps find strong allies you wish to befriend. For most Rahkshi here, you need allies to survive."
  7. I mean Draco is a high rank He could just say he was a traitor that needed to be put down No witnesses No one would be the wiser... ... ... ... But seriously, it's most likely going to be infirmary. If Pyle tried to run... Well, there really is only one Rahkshi who is faster than Draco, and that's Sliver, who is a level above everybody's(least) favorite Prefect.
  8. IC: Draco - Hallways The blow landed, but did not have the effect that Pyle intended. Rather than hopping back, I took the blow full on, and while not embracing the pain necessarily, I ignored it, I drop my swords(thankfully, they were very durable) to grab Pyle's foot, with the intention to swing him around, so as to fly into the wall.
  9. IC: Leviathan - Gym "Less of a change, and more of an evolution." came the simple reply. I take a glance at the giant vat of daggers. The blades were just beginning to melt, but they were nowhere near where they needed to be. "So, I must ask this. What is it that you want? Most people here simply avoid me, unless something is required of me."
  10. Just a heads up Collector, I edited in a Leviathan post to my last post.
  11. IC: Draco - Hallways There we go. I cross my left blade to deflect the first blow, moving my right to cross the other way. NOW. On the next series of blows, I aim to strike the blade hands with the flats of my swords, with the intention to wrench back Pyle's arms, leaving him exposed. IC: Leviathan - Gym "Ah, but you actually answered my question. You wish to differentiate yourself, to make yourself a unique individual from your companion. That is just as true for a weapon. A good blade will do its purpose, and just that. It has no personality. A great weapon is an extension of the individual. It represents who you are, and is made specifically for you."
  12. I mean Leviathan is giant If he wants a weapon that'll really fit his hand and do its purpose He'll have to make it himself
  13. IC: Draco - Hallways I curse myself for being so reckless as I shift my other blade to deflect the incoming attack. FOCUS. I send out a pulse of cyclonic energy to get him off of me, then hop upwards. Idiot. You should have learned already that it never works. With that, I advance towards Pyle, before slashing horizontally with my right blade at him.
  14. IC: Draco - Hallways "Alright then. You're funeral for picking a fight with a Prefect." I say, smiling cruelly. For a moment, I had forgotten all about my new revelations. A part of me was like, What are you doing? Stop this! But for the most part, I didn't care. This Rahkshi had the audacity to lie straight to my face, then threaten me. He. Would. Pay. I take a step forward. Then another. And then I take off at him full speed, cyclonic abilities assisting me. Once in range, I break into a slide, before thrusting one of my long swords at his torso, with the other ready to deflect any attack he might throw at me. IC: Leviathan - Gym "With that logic, why even paint your armor if it's paint will chip, or if it receives dents? After all, it's just here to protect us and give us mobility." I retaliate.
  15. IC: Draco - Hallways Oh please. Almost lazily, I flick my wrist up, before letting out a blast of Level 4 cyclonic energy, to send Pyle flying back. I then back step, and draw my two longswords. Well this is familiar... I thought. While it wasn't necessarily a relief to getting threatened, it was definitely more familiar than the responsibilities that had been put on me. "I'm going to give you one opportunity to surrender and go on your merry way. If not... Well, there's a reason I got to where I am now." I snarl at Pyle. IC: Leviathan - Gym Remus had struck the right chord right then. After all, there was very little that I truly enjoyed conversing about, but any form of craft... I could become fairly chatty. "The item I am currently crafting is going to become a dagger, but more... Appropriately sized for me. The thing is, it won't stop at being a simple dagger." I draw my hooksword. "The hilt of the dagger is going to be hollow, and will be just the right width to fit over the hilt of my hooksword, with a somewhat intricate system. As for why I'm making this... My old knife was far too small for me to use effectively, so this will replace it. Also, it will serve me well in battle, and will be a nice accomplice to my blade. Not only that, but this is a challenge for me. Can I make something relatively small, and still consider it a work of art?"
  16. IC: Leviathan - Gym "Creating a new weapon." I say shortly, not shaking his hand. Not because I was being unfriendly, but because that was all that needed to say, and I would rather not crush this Rahkshi's hand.
  17. IC: Draco - Hallways The speed of the reply was not lost on me. "Then maybe you should expect the unexpected. This is Corpus, after all. Besides, I've had experience with this Rahk you have described. If he stole it, he most likely had a reason to. If not, then... The armory is always open. Pick up a blade there if you really need one." IC: Leviathan - Armory/Gym In the armory, I grabbed about twenty daggers of various shapes and sizes. Then, with all of them in my hands, I rush over to a corner, and deposit them all safely. Now I need some tools... Again. Running back to the armory, I grab a hammer and tongs, before racing back. Now then... This was where the fun began. I summon up a giant vat, with magma churning under it. With that done, I began to toss the daggers into the vat, peeling off any non- metal pieces the daggers may have possessed. Now to wait... I decided to summon up the rest of my workshop. From the ground, I formed several forges, as this would be a rather intricate piece, as well as an anvil, a grinding stone, a simple rectangular mold, and a pool of iced water, in case I overheated. After a moments thought, I also summoned up some bellows for my forges. OOC: Leviathan OFI.
  18. IC: Draco - Hallways I frown. That sounds like the one I told the Porters to watch... Something doesn't seem right though. And the slight hesitation... I ponder this for a moment. In my brief interaction with him, it didn't seem like he was the type to steal a sword. In fact, it seems like all he wanted was to find and help his... Brother... So, two possibilities. This Rahkshi either did not have a sword, and just wants me to fight him, OR, he did have a sword, but he took it from his brother. "Again, as I have said, you have nothing that I don't have access to. Besides, if you're not strong enough to hold on to your possessions, do you really deserve them?" That last part didn't really fit with my new philosophy, but I despised liars. And right now, this Rahkshi was acting rather shady.
  19. IC: Draco - Hallways I almost snort. "Doubt it. I have everything I need. But go on, humor me."
  20. IC: Draco - Hallways Well this was a first. Not one Rahkshi had ever asked how my day was going, and right now, I didn't care to share my feelings. "In a rush, so if you need something, then spit it out."
  21. IC: Draco - Library Oh for the love of Makuta. I hold back a long sigh. No matter. I have a duty. "Hello." I say shortly, but not unfriendly. Let's hope I can solve this quickly.
  22. IC: Dahl - Library Oh. Come. On. He had to be kidding. Carry the brat who insulted them for no reason? She's probably going to complain that I didn't carry her high enough. What a #####. Even so, I knew not to complain to a Prefect. They would laugh at me like I was an idiot if I was lucky, and resort to more... Extreme tactics to get me to comply if not. "As you wish, Prefect." I say, adding a slight bow, for good measure. Turning around, I walk over to Kri. "Alright, up ya go..." I grumble, heaving the armor over my shoulder. Holy ####, I didn't realize we were this heavy. I think, grimacing as I shuffle forwards. IC: Draco - Hallways I arrive to the scene to see... Well, people dispersing. No sign of Hollow. Maybe one of the Prefects took care of it... Well, so much for the detour. I sigh. "Keep on a lookout for him still. That is all." I say to the Porter, before turning back around to head to my original destination... IC: Leviathan - Gym Well, now that a real Prefect showed up, I decided that I was no longer needed. I turn to leave to train in a corner... But then stop. Slowly, I draw my gut knife. This blade... While it is sufficient with my other activities... I summon a target. Quick as a viper, I slash at it a few times, before finishing it with a quick stab... Or, that was my attempt. In actuality, the target still stood, albeit with a few scratches and a shallow hole. I stare at the knife with disgust. What was I thinking When I chose this? It's not adept for combat. You can only really slash with it. And it's far too small for me. Not for the first time, I curse my size. So... I need a new dagger... Several images pop into my head as to what I could make, but I eliminate them all quickly. What I want is something that compliments my hooksword nicely... I stop right there, an idea popping in my mind. It was so simple, but... It worked. I turn to the armory, and step in to get as many knives as I could. After all, who knew how many I would need. OOC: Draco and Levi OFI.
  23. ... Well, after getting yelled at, and a little bit of digging, his name was Fader. (Btw, Wielder was my name for a while.)
