  1. I think you mistake debate for argument.

Debate, argument, poh-tae-toe, pah-tah-tah, same difference.

But, yeah, it makes sense that water elementals would be very OP. The only reason Hahli couldn't, like, crush all the Barraki was because she was a). bound to the Toa Code, and b). PLOT NECESSITY!

  2. IC: Komae [Le-Koro]

"Indeed.  Whatever that Toa was going on about..." the Matoran put a hand to his face and adjusted his mask for a moment.  "It's more Makuta than Mata Nui.  If you have any sense about you, you'll pay no mind to that madman's ramblings.  Wouldn't you agree?"

    IC Haraki:

"You don't get it, do you?" Haraki jumped from the bed. "This is a breakthrough. An entire religion literally disappeared but reemerged when that man found this book. Do you realize how rarely that happens? Religions don't just "disappear," they're either merged with other religions or persecuted. If it's the former, it's possibly we found a bulk of the Makuta and Brotherhood cultists. If it's the latter, then how did no one notice?"

"Before I decided to become a doctor, I spent a while studying history and there was no mention, at all, of any cult of "Rahvok." Nothing even close. It's undiscovered territory."

Haraki picked up the map and pointed to it's destination. "I'm going there, to see what I can find... but... Look, I know it's a lot to ask, but I can pay you guys quite a lot, if you'll come with."

    1. Every time I play a LEGO game, I feel like I'm getting the same game over and over again. Why can't I have a LEGO game where I actually have to build stuff?

You mean like in all of them? Finding parts and building things is a part of eack levle, and I'm not talking about the minikits.

No... I mean like build stuff I designed. When I play a LEGO game, I expect to get a least a little of the LEGO experience. Instead, "hold B to build stuff!"

Your asking for a lot form a game that need to sale and make enough money for LEGO TT and who ever owns Batman or Harry Potter.

Won't a better game sell more and thus make more money? I don't see your logic, here.

  4. IC: (Elianne. Castle Kitchens, Firewatch)

Elianne, who was at that precise moment skinning a rat (rats were gradually becoming a luxury among the soldiers, as rats generally don't take up residence in places that have a distinct lack of any other food to pillage) looked up at the Imperial before her with an annoyed expression. "This is a military fortress, sir," she emphasized the word, trying not to let her irritation at being forced to defer to someone in this way show. "Not a drug den."

(Mathyn Llethri. The Lucky Guar, Narsis)

The Dunmeri nobleman sighed. Peculiarly, while wearing a smile. "So be it. How long have you been in Morrowind, Breton?"

IC Eponine [Narsis - The Lucky Guar]

"Couple of weeks. Moved here from the Imperial City. Lived there for a year, before that, it was Daggerfall from when I was 16 onward, and before that, I lived in Aldshire."

  5.

SRMTHFG! (Bonus points to whomever figures this one out)

Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go! I've been searching everywhere for that show to watch it again, but I've had no luck...

Try Kisscartoon, pretty sure they have it.

Anyway, I think this may accurately reflect how I felt about about the Colbert Report ending a mere nine months after I started watching. It sucked!

He taking over for Letterman this September, FYI.

  6. IC - Beosach:

"The way I see it, if his book and the supposed god therein tell him to burn everybody who disagrees with him, it's probably not based along the same lines as ours is," Beosach replied, shrugging. "Considering the way our religion works, it's got one major commandment, which is no reckless burning of other people based on disagreements. Or, well, y'know, no killing except in very dire circumstances. Stuff like that. Regardless, if you want to turn into a scholar with that book, feel free, but I'm fairly certain the Gukko Force is going to want to take it along with its owner at some point."

    IC Haraki:

"Again, that's my point. If this religion sprouted from the early forms of Mata Nui worship, then chances are something happened that caused this sheer fanaticism. It'd be nice to see what caused it to split off."

  7.

    IC Haraki:

"Nah," Haraki replied, "Most religions, no matter how ludricrous, are based somewhat in reality. That same logic applies here... I'm just wondering... It's very ornate, but very old. If it's this well preserved, it must've been in a place where the elements would have a hard time getting to it."

Haraki opened the book and a piece of paper fell out.

    It was a map.

"This must be his... I don't know, shrine? If it's a holy book, then this map probably leads to a holy site."

    IC: Komae [Le-Koro]

A flicker of irritation passed across the Matoran's face.  "As far as I know, the only 'religion' around here that's got anything to do with reality is the legends of Mata Nui - and even those aren't properly carried out these days.  Tell me, why are you so curious about the ramblings of a madman?"

    IC Haraki

"Exactly my point. Depending on this book's age, it might've co-developed with Mata Nuism. If so, it could offer a previously unseen view into early Matoran religion."

  8. Bionicle seems to ignore little issues like water pressure and so on, so I agree that using the element of water in an underwater setting probably wouldn't be particularly overpowered.

Perhaps Matoranoids/Agoronoids can withstand higher air/water pressure, but if someone were to increase that pressure...

  9. I'm actually planning to join the Kanohi Force. I actually asked Ghidora if I could have an avatar that's half Portal 1 core and half Portal 2 core, white with a blue eye, no text (though I might change that myself, who knows?) but I still haven't heard back from him. Would make a seriously awesome avatar, though.

    http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/IcarusBen/Legonia/Christmasbrick/christmasbrickback.png

Yeah... not really a story for this one. Took some of the concepts I learned with the Goliath-A cargo ship and made another flying brick. Lotta SNOT (basically a custom 2x1x2 SNOT brick with a 2x2 surface on one side) as well as a sorta-kinda hangar bay in the back. There's some engine pods on the sides and to round things off, some nice detailing on the front. I also made it my mission to avoid showing any studs. If only there was a 1x2 inverted plate. That'd be nice.

I dubbed it "the Christmas Brick" because it looks like a very Christmas-y kind of ship and it's rather brick shaped.

They don't look too great, but brick-shaped ships are a lot of fun to build.

  11.

    IC Haraki:

"This book looks old; certainly predating our transformation into Toa. I wonder where it came from."

    IC: Komae [Le-Koro]

The Matoran shrugged.  "Who knows? Maybe some Ko-Matoran writer with too much time and too little sense thought he was going to set the world on fire a long time ago.  If it's got anything to do with what its owner was going on about, it can't be worth much consideration."

    IC Haraki:

    "Nah," Haraki replied, "Most religions, no matter how ludricrous, are based somewhat in reality. That same logic applies here... I'm just wondering... It's very ornate, but very old.     In various answer Greg has given us, he states that both in real life and in the MU, fire technically can burn underwater, hence the reasoning behind not putting water on a grease fire. A quick Google search provides this quote;

Combustion needs oxygen to take place, if you provide an oxygen source by chemical or mechanical means, fire can burn underwater. A chemical reaction that gives up a lot of heat may stay burning for a little bit, but remember water has a high heat capacity and would cold the reaction quite fast.

Therefore, technically Fire does work underwater. Doesn't explain how Air works underwater, unless it's like controlling the currents or something.

Also, wouldn't water be super-overpowered in such an enviroment?

  13. IC (Kelh) [Narsis - The Lucky Guar]

I munched my way through yet another slice of cheese liberally smeared with Netch Jelly.

"Mmph, I coul' ea' 'is shtuff all day," I remarked approvingly, my voice muffled by food and punctuated by chewing. I washed it down with a good swig of shein, licked the stray globs of jelly off my fingers, then dragged my attention away from the snacks to focus on the conversation.

"So, not only is he an annoying ######, but he's an annoying ###### with serious connections? Great. Just... great."

"Not much of a people person, are you?" I observed with a smirk.

IC Eponine [Narsis - The Lucky Guar]

"Never really was the 'sociable' type. I've often been told that I have a piece of wood lodged up my backside, but I don't really give a Skeever's hairy behind if they don't like me. I don't like them, either."

  14. What.

I'm with Hubert on this one...

    What.

    GoT is shorter to type.

    And also heretical.

    -Dovydas

GoT has Khal Drogo being played by Jason Momoa, aka the guy who played Ronon on Stargate: Atlantis.

    Owned.

    >atlantis

    i'm sorry, but that's not sg-1

    Anyway, back on topic:

What is the ingredient to surviving the desert RPing environment that is OTC?

    i'm sorry, but that's not sg-1

    I can see it now.

    "We have an army."

    "We have a Hulk."

    "We have McGyver."

    "We have a Scotsman."

    OWNED.

Getting back on topic, would a Stargate RPG work at all?

The Goliath-class line of FTL cargo vessels is widely renowned for it's amazing storage capacity, compact design and wide versatility. Since it's introductions, it's been used galaxy-wide as a tradeship, a cruise vessel, a troop transport, a science vessel, a spacecraft carrier, a battleship. The version pictures is the standard cargo ship version, the Goliath-A.

    ---------------

Thought I'd try experimenting with SNOT techniques and attempting to hide at least some of the studs, though my particular SNOT techniques require some studs to be showing. Overall, I think I came up with some pretty good design ideas. I might revisit this concept, since it looks pretty good.
