Mad Max Thunder Road? Is that supposed a post-apocalyptic movie set in Australia starring Robert Mitchum as a bootlegger? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunder_Road_(film) Anyway, I like Fury Road. It was big & bold, it wasn't dumb, the effects were terrific, the post-apocalyptic western feel was great, it had Hugh Keays-Byrne from the first movie in it and it was insanely impressive. But it has three big problems: A) It betrayed its antipodean heritage and B) The cartoonishly jerky look of the frame rate. and C) Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior was better, as was the original Mad Max (despite its low budget, the cinematography was top-notch in its own spare, bleak way) Still a terrific film, though. Whoops, forgot to say happy birthday. Happy birthday, Furiosa's Sidekick!
