  1. IC: "I wonder what it means. Something not good, probably."
  2. Mata Nui: Death by sugar-induced coma.
  3. IC: *Poraku dodges, the blow, then glares at Kantok. He takes the two blades, and notices that they fit together. He slides them into place, and...* OOC: Thank you very much for the help, with the Toa thing. I just wanted to know if there were any, y'know, easy ways to become a Toa. Thanks again!
  4. IC: *Poraku nods* "Let's go." *Poraku and Kantok head back over to the Skakdi's hut. Poraku let's Kantok look inside, while Poraku investigates the outside. There's nothing around the front, but on the back...* "what's this?" *Poraku picks up a Piraka blade...with the same logo on it.* "Hmmm...." OOC: What ways are there for a Matoran to become a Toa? Y'know, other than the Red Star. No reason...okay, there is a reason...let's just say I want Matoran Poraku to match my username.
  5. IC: *Poraku grabs a pad of paper and a writing stick out of his knapsack and draws the Skakdi picture.* "Did you by any chance see this picture in the Skakdi hut anywhere? This might be something big."
  6. IC: *Poraku chased after Kantok, and as Kantok's mask came flying off, Poraku leaped up and caught it. He gave the mask back to Kantok.* "You don't want to lose your mask, friend." *Poraku looked over the body of the dead Skakdi, and noticed some sort of marking on it; it was in the shape of Mata Nui, but a Skakdi's face was over the island.* "Kantok, you might want to see this."
  7. IC: *Poraku noticed Vantul coming toward them, and met him outside.* "Good. Thank you for coming, Vantul." OOC: Happy Easter, BZP!
  8. IC: "Great. We will begin our investigation immediately. Vantul, you stay here until you've decided. Then follow us." *Poraku leads Kantok out of the desicimated bar and out onto the streets, heading towards the outer edge of Le-Koro. By the road, there is a small, battered and scorched hut, with the claw marks of a Piraka encircling the outside.* "So, Kantok, shall we look inside?
  9. That looks really great! I love the group shot of all the Mata Nun's. I never realized how big To a Ignika's mask really is.
  10. IC: *Poraku shakes Vantul's hand* "Hello, Vantul. I am Poraku. I'm guessing you heard noises? A Piraka attacked this bar. Me and this Kantok fellow are going to investigate why the Piraka attacked here, and he tells me you could be useful. Would you like to join this adventure?" *Turns to Kantok, letting Vantul think it over.* "Where do you think we should start the investigation?
  11. IC: (To Kantok) *Poraku notices several people running in. One asks what happens.* "It most certainly was Skakdi. A female. Me and a Toa of Air took him down. She, the Skakdi, seemed a bit intoxicated. She skewered the bartender." Poraku says as he sheaths his sword. "Now, I am going to try and find out caused her to go on a rampage, and I might need traveling companions, some people to help me find where to start. Care to join me?"
  12. IC: *Poraku smiles and salutes the Toa as he leaves. Guards rush in, asking questions. Poraku explains as they haul off the Piraka.* "Well, that was an adventure."
  13. This is a great little short story. So, does that make all of the Toa Metru former Protectors? And what about the Toa Hagah? The Toa Inika?
  14. IC: "Wonderful. I just love when some higher being messes with us lesser robots." *Using the opening given to him by Orderin, Poraku uses all his Po-Matoran strength, jumps at the Skakdi, and kicks her a good one in the face, knocking her unconscious. She falls to the ground in a heap. Just before the auhorities arrived, Poraku glanced around the destroyed bar. Walls were broken in, tables were turned to splinters, and the bartender himself hung limply from the far wall, skewered by the Skakdi's sword.* "Okay. That was not good." *Poraku turns to Orderin* "Thank yo for helping me battle the beast, Toa of Air. You could have very well left when the Skakdi arrived. You are a true Toa."
  15. IC: *Poraku nods.* "Yes, probably." *Poraku shouts an order at a patron, who bolts out of the door to look for help. As the patron escapes, the Skakdi howls and skewers the bartender to the wall. Poraku cringes before vaulting out of the way of another swing. Poraku garbs his sword and stabs at the Skakdi's arm. She howls.* "The one day I forgot to bring my Kanoka launcher..." *As he says this, the Skakdi's arm hits Poraku in the gut and sends him into the wall. Poraku thinks...how could this heavily intoxicated of a Skakdi have such good reflexes. He calls to Orderin, who is currently battling the creature.* "Do you believe it is a coincidence that this Skakdi arrives just after we were discussing the Dark Times?"
  16. IC: *Poraku downs his drink, and slams his drink on the table.* "Thank you for the drink, my friend. Le-Koro has the best, I've been told, and so the rumors are true. Again, I say, m many thanks." *Poraku politely bows, and begins to exit the bar, when the doorway of the bar caves in.* "What is THAT?!" Poraku shouts. OOC: Thanks for the explanation. On a side note, I'm sad that Matoro still ended up dying... And this ending is meant to purely be interpretated. What is in the doorway?
  17. IC: *Poraku takes a drink, and takes a large swig. He smiles at the Le-Toa. He face suddenly turns serious, and he lowers his voice.* "In all truth, these dark times have reached the confines of Po-Koro. You can not trust anyone. Many of my childhood friends have been killed by Piraka. So, I have come to Le-Koro. I hear the confines of the forests can protect most." OOC: Okay, in all honesty, I'm not really sure what 'The Dark Times' are, can anyone care to elaborate?
  18. IC (Poraku): *Poraku shrugs.* "I fear I'm not totally up to date either. But, I hear there have been some dark dealings around the Blackrock." *Poraku laughs* "But that is not what brings me here. The Kolhii match can. Be postponed, but I will take you up on the offer of a good drink!" *Poraku follows Orderin into the bar.*
  19. This is a short story about my BZPRPG character, Poraku. Enjoy! The Rogue Rahi Poraku's hut had been built just outside of Po-Koro. For such a friendly person, it would seem strange that his hut would be built so far from other Po-Matoran. And, Poraku relented, it was a bit odd, but it was a precaution, in case something like the incident of the Rogue Rahi ever happened to Poraku again. What is the Rogue Rahi incident, you ask? Well, I'll tell you. ***** In the time before time...Just kidding. It's still in the time before time, but this story isn't an epic, there is no epic quest to find some Mask of Ultimate Awesomeness, and there is no Toa. This is just an even that happened in Po-Koro to a small Po-Matoran, and how the event shaped him. Poraku awoke one day to horn's blaring. That meant an emergency. Poraku wondered what the emergency was. So, against better judgement, Poraku jumped out of his bed, grabbed his special weapon, an unearthed Kanoka launcher, off the wall, and ran outside. It always takes awhile to adjust your eyes to the bright sand of Po-Koro on a sunny morning, but when Poraku's eyes finally adjusted, he saw what the emergency was. A lone Kane-Ra Rahi-beast was tearing through the village of Po-Koro. Some huts had been mowed down already, and several Po-Matoran were being run over and flung out of the way by this furious beast (luckily, the armor of a Po-Matoran is extremely dense, so no one would suffer serious injury.). Something had angered this beast, because Rahi beasts never came this close to the village. Poraku could even see this beast's pack, just southwest, about 200 yards down. But, there was no way to figure out what the problem with the Kane-Ra was immediately because at that time, the Kane-Ra pivoted, saw Poraku with it's beady eyes, and charged. The Kane-Ra rammed into Poraku's hut, instantly destroying it. Luckily, no incredibly important possessions had been in the hut, luckily. Also luckily, Poraku had jumped out of the way just before the Rahi made contact, so he was not caught in the impact at all. The Kane-Ra rifled through the rubble, looking for a morsel to consume. Poraku took the advantage. Poraku fired his Kanoka at the Kane-Ra's back. It howled in rage and turned around to face the tiny Po-Matoran. Poraku probably looked like little more than a mouthful to the beast. "Hey, ugly..." Poraku whimpered. He gulped. The beast lunged forward, almost like it was spring-loaded. Poraku jumped, and landed on it's back. "Oh, no," Poraku groaned. The creature started bucking back and forth. It was all Poraku could do to hold on. "If only a Toa were here!" he moaned. Suddenly, he had an idea. "Well, if a Toa's not here...think like one!" The plan formulated. As the Rahi bucked forward, and Poraku let go. The rest went in slow-motion. Poraku, as he flew backwards, flipped in midair, to where he was facing the Kane-Ra straight on. The beast roared. While his mouth was opened, Poraku fired his Kanoka again. The Kanoka disk flew in, struck one of the Rahi's teeth, and flew back out. The Rahi's tooth shot out like one of those Piraka's Zamor spheres. Poraku landed less than expertly, but that didn't matter, because the creature was already retreating in his pain. It headed back in the direction of it's pack. Poraku breathed a huge sigh of relief and sat down. Something didn't feel right in the southern regions. He felt under his bottom, and there was the Kane-Ra's tooth. Poraku smiled. Here was a souvenir worthy of the Toa themselves. He stood up, and all the Po-Matoran nearby cheered. He was a celebrity! Later, Akiri Hewkii awarded him with a small, golden medal for his bravery. Hewkii also privately told Poraku that one of his aides had seen Poraku in action, and how he had much potential to be a great athlete. Hewkii offered to even privately mentor the small Po-Matoran! Poraku felt so proud. During the ceremony, a Po-Matoran guard named Takoii shoved another, angry looking Po-Matoran into the middle of the ceremony. "I found the man angered the Kane-Ra," The guard said. "This man right here." He pointed at the other. "Ahkmou. A troublemaker if I ever saw one." So, Poraku thought, it was this Matoran who was responsible for the destruction of his hut and several others. He'd have a few choice words for this 'Ahkmou' later. But, Poraku already knew where he would build his next hut. And, he knew exactly what he was going to do with his medal and the Kane-Ra tooth. ***** And that is why Poraku's hut is stationed on the edge of Po-Koro. Long and drawn out, I know, but hey, it's a story. And what happened to the Kane-Ra tooth? Well, Poraku knew some of the arts of weapons crafting, as Po-Korans' usually make the most weapons out of all the six Matoran. He fasioned the tooth into a small blade, crafted a small handle, and fastened the medal into the hilt of the sword. And since then, it has been Poraku's most-prized possession. And it isn't bad for combat either. As for Poraku, Hewkii kept his word and personally mentored Poraku until he became a great Kolhii player, second only to Hewkii himself. And that Ahkmou character? Well, he became the arch-enemy of sorts to Poraku, but that's for another time, and another story. Because that is the way of the Bionicle.
  20. IC (Poraku): *Poraku sees a large Le-Toa walking towards him from a small bar. Poraku ever the friendly one, strikes a conversation.* "Hello, friend! I am Poraku. I happened to come this way, seeking a good drink and a Kolhii match. Could you show me around to places where I can find these things?"
  21. IC: ^ Well, that's unsettling.
  22. IC: *A small Po-Matoran tramps into Le-Koro from Po-Wahi holding a Kolhii stick and a sword made from a Kane-Ra tooth.* " Hello, Le-Matorans! I have come to Le-Koro seeking fun! Will you give me that simple thing? " OOC: I just came from Po-Koro. Please reply to the above post. And no, I'm not desperate. I'm not.
  23. IC: Well, what another great day of Po-Koro! (Grabs Kolhii stick, Kane-Ra Tooth sword, satchel, and leaves his hut) What adventures await me today? Maybe I'll go into Le-Koro. Yup. That's what I'll do! OCC: Cheesy, I know, but this is the beginning of my BZPRPG stay! Meet Poraku, my avatar. This post is open for replying-ness. And, for a little bit, I will be in Le-Koro.
  24. NAME: Poraku SPECIES: Po-Matoran GENDER: Male APPEARANCE: Shorter than most Po-Matoran, though he has an althlete's build. His body is predominately a dark, dark brown with hints of burnt orange across the body. He had long, lanky burnt orange arms with dark brown hands. His legs are dark brown, while his feet are also burnt orange. He wears a dark brown Noble Ruru with burnt orange accents. ALIGNMENT: Chaotic Good ELEMENT: Stone STRENGTHS: While small, he is a very fast and cunning. The reason for this is because he is one of the best Kolhlii, just behind Hewkii. He is an excellent combatant, having taken on both Rahi and Rahkshi by himself. He has average intelligence, which can work to his advantage and disadvantage. WEAKNESSES: Average intelligence, which can work to his advantage and disadvantage. He also can be very stubborn and difficult to his friends. During combat, his main weakness is his small size, which many enemies take advantage of. POWERS/WEAPONS: Poraku always carries a small Po-Matoran Short Sword which he created himself out of a Kane-Ra's tooth, to his enormous pleasure. He also frequently carries a Kanoka launcher he found buried deep in the ground of Po-Koro. For ammo, he uses small disks fashioned out of rocks that he keeps in a pack. PERSONALITY/TRAITS: Poraku is a young, cheerful Po-Matoran. He has many friends, in Po-Koro and outside of it, and always was loves competitions with other Matoran. He can however, be sarcastic and stubborn in tense situations. He is, however, incredibly brave, and will always rush into a battle headlong, usually underprepared and overmatched. Though, somehow, he usually comes out on top, usually unscathed. Akiri Hewkii, Poraku's mentor, always stated Poraku to be a wonder of the universe for this reason. HISTORY: Poraku has lived in Po-Koro for all of his life. He started out as his village's runt, and still is, but he has since become legendary in his village for his athletic Kolhii exploits, having been mentored by the great Hewkii himself, and his abilities in combat. His first combat experience was when a rogue Rahi Kane-Ra attacked his hut. Poraku grabbed his unearthed Kanoka launcher and fought the beast. In the end, Poraku won the battle surprisingly unscathed, sending the Kane-Ra back where he came from, keeping the Kane-Ra's tooth as a souvenir of the battle, eventually fashioning it into a short sword that Poraku now carries with him at all times. He has many friends he had gathered throughout his days, and has even befriended some Toa. He is truly a Matoran oddity. NAME: Genju SPECIES: Le-Toa GENDER: Male APPEARANCE: A thin, muscular Toa, with A mix of of green, Metru green, and grey armor. He wears a battered green Kanohi Hau. ALIGNMENT: Chaotic Good ELEMENT: Air STRENGTHS: Like most Toa of Air, Genju is very fast and agile, with seemingly limitless energy. He is particular skilled at acrobatics, and in a fight his greatest strength is his ability to outlast any opponent. WEAKNESSES: His energy makes him hyperactive at times, and he always wants to do The Right Thing but his hyperactivity sometimes makes him more of a hindrance than a help. Also, from as many battles as he has been in, his mask has become very battered. As such, sometimes when he needs the power of Shielding, the mask power does not work all the time, which is a weakness that has been exploited time and again. Still, he thinks all tyhe dents an inseparable part of his mask, and will have no one fix it. POWERS/WEAPONS: Adding to his agility, Genju uses his specialized Air Katana to catch wind drafts and glide for miles on a single draft, and he can fly for short periods of time. He has also fashioned a crossbow out of solid protodermis for long-range encounters. Though not technically thought of as a weapon, he does have a Nui-Rama who he took as a pet and that is fiercely loyal to him, and as such will attack anyone who hurts Genju. HISTORY: Not much is known about Genju's past. Even he doesn't know, or really care. All he knows is that he knows how to fight, and has been in countless fights and battles, in the air and on the ground. These experiences have made him slightly cocky, but he knows what is right and has a strong connection to those he protects. In one of his adventures, though, he saved a baby Nui-Rama, named it Buzzer, and took it as a pet. It still travels with him to this day.
