  1. I just meant it to illustrate how the material on long kraata is completely different. The softer material coming out of the mold and cooling funny in the factory is probably what caused the defects.
  2. I'm seeing a lot of misinformed comments here... I personally own several of these, and they are not simply "squished." They are made with an entirely different type of rubber that is easily bendable, which is likely what causes the defect in the factory. Standard Kraata are made with the same rubber as Krana, and even if you squish them, the faces will not become as long as the faces on genuine long Kraata. It is my opinion that if it were an issue of the rubber melting or being exposed to something across multiple households from play or misuse, then surely we would be finding Krana altered in this way, but we don't...
  3. As someone who has dealt in reselling Bionicle for quite some time now, I wouldn't pay more than $200 for this lot. I hope this helps.
  4. It was the strangest thing. I got a bulk lot a while back that had about 16+ lbs of only Toa Inika and Barraki sets with one Avatar figure and it had all of these misprints and short-shots in it. I have no idea how the seller got hold of these or why the lot was so specific. Maybe they were a super-fan back in the day? I want to assume that they are possibly old proto-squad parts. That would be my best educated guess unless they are genuine defects from the canister set itself. No way of knowing for certain, but they are genuine LEGO parts with the logo and everything!
  5. I am looking to sell my misprint Carapar head and a small handful of other error parts. The Carapar head is molded with keetorange and clear instead of the normal keetorange and translucent black/brown color. Not a single bit of translucent black is on the part. I have never seen anything like this before. (SOLD) The half-clear Ehlek spine is a misprint that is missing the green dye in the material molded next to the keetorange base color. (SOLD) There are two squid that are a lot more transparent than normal. The blue one is a bit of a stretch, but the yellow one has significant clear spots. (BOTH SOLD) The full-color Ehlek spine and the dark green Piraka foot are both short shots. The spine has an open pinhole. The foot is missing the heel and rear axle. (BOTH SOLD) I am willing to sell these as a lot or individually. Please DM me if you would be interested in making an offer! The Carapar head has no mold defects and is a perfect misprint, and I would value it a lot more than the other misprints and short-shots, it being a headpiece/mask as well. Serious inquiries only, please. I have additional pictures upon request. If it is more convenient to message me on Instagram, my username there is @constraction_deva
  6. You should get a hold of Keelerak or a Nui-Rama, it's gonna blow your mind!
  7. I just completed my 01-03 Kanohi Krana and set Kraata this year. It took a crazy long time to acquire but they look great in my display case. I am collecting every set now and should have the complete collection by the end of the year.
  8. I am looking to either purchase or trade for a translucent orange Kraata that came with the Nike Rahkshi shoes. If you own one and are willing to part with it, please send me a message! Thanks!
  9. I am looking to purchase a Translucent Neon Orange Kraata (Stage 1 that came with the NIKE shoes). Willing to negotiate the price. Picture for reference:
  10. After being forgotten by his Toa brethren, Voriki wanders the Koros with sorrow and resentment in his heart... This is my own reimagining of the infamous fake leak character "Voriki." I started this MOC a little over a year ago, so I'm glad to finally be posting him. Since Voriki isn't actually a real Bionicle character, I wanted to do something drastically different from the Toa Mata aesthetic. I went for a more creepy robot feel and tried to emphasize the "energy" theme by giving him big generators on his back and weapons that resemble lightning rods. Flickr: https://flic.kr/p/2kBGvJS
  11. The first Toa and leader of the Order of Mata Nui. In BIONICLE lore Helryx is described as being very powerful and fierce. I felt that her physical description of being "disturbingly frail" did not fit her character. Instead I went for a slightly weaker yet able-bodied appearance as a compromise to these descriptions. Built for the canonization contest over on the TTV boards. More on my Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/140308582@N05/
  12. My interpretation of the 2005 Visorak set of the same name. I wanted to go for a more realistic spider-like look while still retaining aspects of the original.
  13. Oh wow, I didn't even know this existed. Good luck in your search.
  14. Do what you want, people make and sell third party stuff all the time, it isn't like you are advertising it as an official LEGO product.
