  1. Trust me, you're not missing much, Toa Doublebee. I believe they should have left the face design alone. Tahu looked plain freaky with his mask off in ep. 3.
  2. 1982 The man ran. From what, he could not fathom, but he didn't dare to stop. His boots splashed through the thick mud, as freezing rain pelted him. His car was just a few yards away... Had he seen that tree before? Was he going in circles? He muttered incoherently, reminding himself to keep calm. He was going to survive. As long as he reached his car before that THING reached him. Finally, he saw the silhouette of his pick-up truck in the distance. He frantically ripped open the door, hopped in, and slammed it behind him. Launching his foot to the gas pedal, he proceeded to spin the wheel of the car with his shaking hands. As he drove through the forest road, he could hear the creature's thumping feet behind him. Suddenly, he heard the footsteps cease. He glanced at the rear view mirror and screamed. THE CREATURE WAS ON THE TRUCK BED. The truck spun out of control and into a ditch as the man tried to shake his pursuer off, but to no avail. Words could not describe the terror as the man gripped the wheel, helpless as the glass of the back window shattered. And then it was over. What do you think? Should I write a full story for this? Thanks

  4. Just once — Just once! — I'd like to take a trip-walk without someone trying to kill me! We didn't come all this way ... fight all these fights ... just to lose. A friendly place we have here. Heavily defended, home to several hundred killers, and unfailingly lethal to trespassers, but friendly. Good luck...
  5. Does anyone here like Percy Jackson? If so, who are your favorite characters?
  6. As some of you may know, I am currently writing an epic fanfic about the continuation of G2. You can find the link below this post. My question: How do YOU think the story of G2 should've continued, if it wasn't axed?
  7. I know that Mata Nui, Voya Nui, and Mahri Nui are above the Great spirit robot, and Metru nui and Karda nui are inside. But I have some confusion about whether the following islands are above the GSR or below/inside: Karzahni Artahka (Did I spell that right?) Destral The island of the dark hunters Xia Also, if there are any other islands I missed, could you give me their position as well?
  8. As we can see on voya/mahri nui matoran sets, matoran are capable of wearing great masks. How can this be? I thought they wore powerless masks. Also, on Mata Nui and Metru Nui Matoran, all masks besides the ones the Toa wear are in noble form. Why aren't there any with great masks If voya/mahri nui matoran wear them?
  9. The Kiril and Pehkui have different powers (Rebuilding and diminishment, respectively) but they both have the same shape. Is there a canon explanation for this? Are there any physical differences in the actual story?
  10. CHAPTER 11 My six-year-old self sat on a log, watching my dad fire a million holes into a wooden disk he threw up into the air with his shock bow. When it landed, I looked up at him in amazement. “Daddy, I want to be just like you when I grow up!” I exclaimed. “You will, my son.” He replied as he prepared to throw another disk. “You have a large responsibility on your shoulders. Soon you will lead the people of Okoto, when I am too old. And you shall also inherit this.” He gestured towards his weapon. I fingered the shock bow, which now lay right next to me. And then I remembered the one time I ever saw him miss a shot. He tossed the discus a little too high that day, and even though he fired he fired a round of shots at it, a gust of wind carried it away without a hole in it. It had to be fate, or the great being above, but it landed somewhere in the tall grass somewhere. He went to get it, but he didn’t come back with a disk. He came back with a baby Okotan, with no mask on. His expression was grave. “Trilek.” He enunciated with authority. “This baby was sitting in the reeds. Alone.” “Where’s his family?” I asked. “He was abandoned. I will take care of him until we can find a suitable home for him.” We never did find his parents. My father adopted him as his own, second son. He commissioned a green mask for him, and named him Kevaku, Wind Found in our language. If it wasn’t for the wind, we wouldn’t have found him. A wave of guilt spread over my mind. My dad wanted me to always take care of him, no matter what. And I had wanted to leave him in Le-Koto. In addition, I had abandoned him in Ga-Koto. My eyes blurred from tears. Even if I found my dad, he would never forgive me for my attitude towards my brother. And my responsibility. What was in the past was in the past. I would never be able to go back to him until Makuta stopped attacking the village. I was entrusting his safety to complete strangers. Now I was feeling like a Mukaku-dung. I fell asleep, knowing that as soon as I complete my quest, Kevaku would be the first person I would rescue. … I opened my eyes to blinding white. Elryx was shaking me awake. “Trilek, we need to go. It’s a snowstorm!” The next hour was a blur. I wrapped myself up in blankets, and pushed on towards the snow, my field of vision limited to about 5 feet in front of me. We wandered aimlessly through the drifts. Had I seen that rock before? Was I going in circles? I heard a crash in the snow next to me. My friend had collapsed in the snow. I rushed over to her, but she seemed to have fallen from exhaustion, or the cold. I tried to remember how to carry someone… my dad had taught me… I had to carry on… I slung Elryx’s limp body over my shoulders, and I walked forward in what I thought was the direction of the mountain. I took my blankets and put them on both of us, in hopes to warm her up. I felt a strange feeling fall over me, and my eyes started to close. The last thing I remember were footsteps towards us, and the cold feeling of snow filling my mask.
  11. Chapter 10 Ok, even I hadn’t expected Ko-koto to be this cold. Elryx and I had circled around to the beach, and we made our way through the swampy wasteland, always continuing towards the snowy mountains ahead of us. There, we would find the first Toa, Larai. We had been surviving on the little rations we were able to buy from a traveling salesman, and seaweed from the beach. You may be wondering about Jenny, our faithful Razor Raptor. It turns out we didn’t tie that knot hard enough, and she was able to break out and escape to the forest, carrying our supplies on her back. I doubted we’d ever see her again. Most of all, I missed Kevaku. Sure, the little twerp could be a pain in the gears, but he could make a trip like this one seem so much shorter with his positive outlook on life and his carefree attitude. And now, he and the rest of the Ga-kotans were in danger. Elryx was quiet these days. She seemed to be contemplating the destruction of her village, and when I asked her anything, she would reply in a short, monosyllabic answer. To be fair, I would act the same way if I was in her shoes, so I decided to give her some space. Anyway, our quest brought us to the edge of a cliff. The view was, to say the least, breathtaking. The white mountains of Ko-koto lay ahead of us, and below, a sparkling blue river snaked between the walls of the canyon. And (Lucky for us) there was a ski-lift that would take us to the other side! The problem? I had no idea how to work it. I walked over to the box which seemed to hold the inner workings, and opened it up. Nothing but gears, wires, and belts. I slammed the panel closed in frustration. I heard Elryx laughing for the first time in a while. “Hey, Poikiri brains. Once you’re done over there, we can use the lever.” To be honest, I was feeling pretty inadequate at that moment, and Elryx wasn’t exactly helping out, but I smiled back anyway and pushed a large bar which seemed to be the lever she was speaking of. The ski lift’s gear box whirred to life, and we jumped on right as it was leaving. I felt the wind rustling my hair, and, during the course of the whole scenic ride, I gazed up at the sky, continuing to remind myself to not look down. The cable looked like it hadn’t been used in a while, and every time a bump disrupted the otherwise smooth ride, I gripped the armrests to my seat, ready to embrace Artahka. It seemed like forever before the lift jerked backward, and ceased at the edge of the icy cliff on the other side. As I shakily took my first step onto the powdery snow, the radical change in our environment seemed obvious, and I found myself staring at the other side of the canyon, longing for the moderate temperatures of the region of water. I closed my eyes. As I did this, I felt a peaceful vibration, and then a vision flashed past my eyes, of the two mountains ahead of us. Built into the side of one of these mountains was a cave, and as soon as I saw this, I realized the person who we were searching for, Larai, had to be somewhere inside. As I opened my eyes, I realized Elryx had opened hers at the same time. She smiled, and I knew we had both seen the same thing. After about an hour of trudging through the snow towards the mountains, the sun started to sink beneath the horizon, and I scanned my surroundings for any shelter we might be able to use. We hadn’t made as much progress as we hoped, and there was no way we would be sleeping in the snow, so the only choice was to hike on through the night. As the last moments of daylight faded away, Elryx spotted a ledge jutting out of a boulder. Underneath it, there was only frozen grass, a sleeping mat made of reeds, and a few blankets. Although it wasn’t ideal, it would serve as a good place to rest, thanks to the absence of snow. Of course, as a gentleman, I let Elryx sleep on the mat as I slept on the icy grass. We both covered ourselves in blankets, and lay in silence for a while. I was just about to close my eyes when I heard Elryx call my name. “Trilek?” I answered back without turning towards her. “Yeah?” “My dad always said that… sometimes, a hero does something amazing and comes back bathed in glory. But other times, a hero has to make a sacrifice for people who he doesn’t know, and who don’t know his name, but he won’t be covered in praises. Either way, he will become a legend.” I nodded my head and continued to listen. “Trilek, no one knows about our quest. And we are going to help a lot of people. I’ve always thought that this quest was one of the former. I- I just wanted appreciation, and attention. You’ve really taught me what it means to be a hero. You were the one who didn’t want to let anyone know of our quest. And knowing that we are going to save the world… that makes me feel better than any glory could.” I turned towards her, finally. “Thank you for staying by my side. I guess I wanted the same thing. That’s why I was reluctant to take your help, back at Ga-Koto. If it wasn’t for you, I would be dead.” She beamed, and closed her eyes. In the moments following, I was brought back to a moment. A happy moment, when I was six years old.

  13. Here are the most tragic deaths in Bionicle, ranked from "Slightly Less Tragic" to "OH MATA NUI WHY!!!" This is not an uplifting post! 5: Krika Cause of death: Got rek't by an energy storm Why this was tragic: Krika believed that nothing good would come out of Teridax's grand plan if it succeeded, but also realized nothing good would happen to him if it failed, so for better or worse, he followed it. However, he occasionally rebelled against Teridax when it was safe to do so, such as hiding and imprisoning Miserix rather than killing him. During his time in Karda Nui, he realized that Teridax's plan would be worse for all, and tried to sabotage it in several ways, taking Gali in an attempt to persuade her to leave Karda Nui so that Teridax's plan could not be fulfilled, and allying with the rogue Icarax. He also, unlike most Makuta, respected the Toa Nuva for matching them in ability. So, he wasn't all that bad! He did not deserve to be vaporized! 4: Nidhiki Cause of death: Was absorbed by Makuta and destroyed Why this was tragic: In Legends of Metru Nui, we could all, at least, accept Nidhiki's death. The whole "Brother" thing between him and Lhikan was unexplained, so he could've always been a dark hunter... Right? Nope. Greg just had to explain his back story in extended media. Birth of A Dark Hunter tells the tragic story of Nidihki's defection to the dark side. Sure, he had that little betrayal during the dark hunter war, but that was in part caused by Lhikan undermining him, and jealousy. And let's not forget he hated his life as a dark hunter. Finally, his mutation at the hands of Roodaka was very sad. The Shadowed One's quote in Birth of A Dark Hunter just put this on the list. "If you were still deluding yourself that you could go back to being a Toa, that you could wash the stain of treachery off your spirit that easily, I was going to strip that dream from you once and for all." Dark... HAHAHAHAHA! Alright, I'll shut up now. 3: Jaller Cause of death: Killed by a Rahkshi, but eventually revived by Takanuva Why this was tragic: Jaller's death in Mask of Light ripped out my ten-year-old heart and stomped on it. Then it threw it into the furnaces of Ta-Koto. You get the idea. Jaller was probably the most noble matoran of all time. He dutifully, and reluctantly, accepted Takua's quest. His friendship with Takua was funny at times, and they always kept each other in check. But what really made him a hero was he willingly gave his life to save Takua. And he assumed he was going to stay dead, because they didn't know about the red star. His last words? "You know who you are. You were always... Different..." Why is it number three? Well, the death was made slightly less tragic with his sudden and rather confusing revival like, ten minutes later. 2: Lhikan Cause of death: Wasted by Makuta Teridax Why this was tragic: Lhikan was probably the single most important Toa in the Biological Chronicle. He retrieved the Toa stones, created Toa who saved the matoran, and continued to mentor them until his (Sniffle Sniffle) death at the literal hand of Teridax. If Lhikan had not saved Vakama... The Toa team would not be functional, since it required Unity. Hundreds of Matoran would be still in captivity under the visorak. But still, I cried. So, it's number two. And now... The one that you've been waiting for... 1: Matoro Cause of death: Vaporized by the Ignika Why this is tragic: Where do I start? Oh, yeah, here's the quote that made me sob uncontrollably at the end of Downfall: "Sometimes a hero has to do something else besides beat the villains and come home covered in glory. Sometimes, he has to make a sacrifice so that a lot of people — people he's never met before, and who don't know his name — can live." — Hahli to Kopeke, Downfall Matoro didn't have many friends on Mata Nui. He was the kindest, awesomest, perhaps bravest matoran in Bionicle, but he questioned his worth to the team when he became a Toa, eventually sacrificing himself in the chamber of death. But he was revived, and passed the test. Why is he number one? Because of his selfless, courageous sacrifice in Mahri Nui. Even though no one knew his name, and he knew he might fail, Matoro made perhaps the most important choice in the Ignition saga. And, in the end, he was the real hero. But that's just my opinion! What's yours? Did I leave anyone important out? SHOULD NIDIHKI EVEN BE ON THIS LIST???
  14. Bionicle first of all... But in their minifigure forms. It would kind of be a more lighthearted, spirits version of 2001. And, to be honest, I don't think it would be easy to stop motion-CGI constraction figures and still make them relatable. The minifigures would look a lot like ttv's G3 Brickonicle proposal, but Lewa would still be male. Maybe there could be a Toa of lightning girl who joins the team! And maybe Pohatu is hooked on 80s rock music. Onua could be a terrible chef. Lewa could have a crush on Gali. Developing the Toa's characters to make them look more human would be essential for the movie. Also, no over-the-top sci-fi, complicated plots like the last years of G1. This is for a new range of fans. It will satisfy nostalgic fans while enlightening a new audience! How cool is that? Next... Oh, Karzahni, I just have to say this... Chima. Yes, Chima. Even though it wasn't Lego's bed theme, I still think it would be great on the big screen! Finally, the Matoran movie. An entire movie, just about the 2001 matoran, living on Mata Nui before the Toa arrived. Takua would be the hero, of course, and there would be some epic rahi fights! And they would be minifigures with short legs. What do you think?
  15. Gathered friends, listen to the rap battle of the century! On this side, all the way from Ta-koro, let's welcome TAHU! And over here, from the jungles of Le-Wahi, let's give it up for LEWA! 1... 2... 3... RAP! TAHU: I've been in charge since year '01 With a sale so hot that it's hotter then the sun Sure, I run high and I never eat my greens I can save the world while you're lying in the trees Year's end, Set's end I have set three new trends I can make your mind bend Until the world ends Got my flaming fire sword And my mask of shielding Do you hear that loud sound? That's the Ga-Matoran squealing!!! LEWA: Windfly out of the way, dude The hero's comin through Ima flyin through the trees With my favorite Miru Comic numba two My awesomeness showed you Gali chilled with me As you surfed without a crew Mata Nui smiled when you did a Hau-plant Now Sing-song with me and my awesome jungle chant! Now, viewers, continue the alternating rap battle! For example, one person will do Tahu, Next Lewa... Spread the news!
  16. My favorite is the 2016 mask of jungle. It looks so sleek and really captures Lewa's character.
  17. I know the protector mantle was passed down "From Father To Son" but is that completely literal? Are Okotans capable of love, marriage, and reproduction? I know Matoran aren't (Sorry Hewkii)
  18. Gathered Friends, listen to the tale... Of the Biology. In the time before time, the Great Scientist Carollus Linnaeus descended from the heavens, carrying we, the ones called the Living Things, to this classroom paradise. We were separate and without purpose, so the Great Scientist blessed us with the 5 Kingdoms: Anamalia, Plantae, Fungi, Protista, and Monera. We embraced these gifts and, in gratitude, we named our classification system the Linean system, after the Great Scientist himself. But our happiness was not to last. Carollus Linnaeus's lab assistant, Paul, was jealous of these honors and betrayed him. Paul cast a spell over Carollus Linnaeus, who fell into a deep slumber. Paul's power dominated the land, as Plantae withered away, Monera grew cold, and ancient values were consumed by Anamalia. Still, all hope was not lost. Legends told of six mighty heroes, the Scientists, who would arrive to save Carollus Linnaeus. Time would reveal that these were not simply myths - for the Scientists did appear on the shores of the classification chart. They arrive with no memory, no knowledge of one another - but they pledged to defend the Linean System and its people against Paul. Great scholars with great power, drawn from the very text books themselves. Together, they were six scientists with one destiny: to defeat Paul and save Carollus Lineaus. This is their story. Author's note: High school Biology plus an undying obsession over Bionicles will to that to ya.
  19. Scene: Dark night in Le-Metru. Adaliki, Toa of lightning (My mysterious self moc who I will post pictures of soon) sneaks into an alleyway warily, watching for vahki. He turns, to come face to face with his old friend, Mehku, Toa of Stone. Mehku: I assume you know the reason I called you here today... Adaliki: No. No, no I don't. You can't just send an urgent request to an old buddy, telling him to meet you illegally in the most dangerous part of the city for Toa, and expect him to know why you called. You think I could just read your mind or something? In fact, I have missed a very great show of "American Toa Warrior" to sneak over here. (Sighs) Tell me what you want, and I can continue with my life. Mehku. Okay. First of all, "American Toa Warrior"? No one watches that anymore. Second of all, I thought you would be thrilled to see me. Adaliki: Nope. Mehku: Why not? Adaliki: You didn't want to join my Toa team, even though we've been friends since matoranhood. Mehku: For the last time, that wasn't a Toa team, that was an alternative rock band! Adaliki: Everyone was joining! That fire guy- Mehku: Obhi. Adaliki: And the rock dude- Mehku: Unamako. Adaliki: And that cute psionics girl- Mehku: Sahrea. Adaliki: How do you know everyone's names??? Mehku: I read your signup sheet. Adaliki: ... Adaliki: I'M NOT GOOD WITH NAMES! Mehku: (Awkwardly pats Adaliki on the back) It happens to the best of us. Adaliki: Like who? Mehku: Ummm... I'm sure Michael Jordan didn't know any Toa names. Adaliki: He was 38 when the Toa came. Mehku: Which Toa? Adaliki: You know, the originals? Mehku: That's in THE FUTURE! Adaliki: Huh? It's 2004. How could... (Greg Farshtey magically appears and whispers something in their ears) Adaliki: We are living in a story in a story! LIFE HAS LOST ITS MEANING! Mehku: Calm down don't think about that stuff. That's for the folks on Bzpower. (There is an awkward silence as Mehku tries to remember what he had wanted to say in the beginning.) Mehku: How did we get this far off topic! I can't even remember what I called you here for! Adaliki: Tell me when you do. (goes into the corner to eat pie) Mehku: EXPLODES! Authors note: Whoever can write a sequel to this will receive my eternal admiration. Like this! Please!
  20. I have found quite a lot of YouTube videos of Bionicle song parodies. I certainly have made a few, including, but not limited to: Fire Toa (Rock Lobster) Mata Nui Style (Oma Gangnam Style) Swamp of Mysteries (Centuries) Do you have any parodies you would like to share? Include at least some of the lyrics! Also, what is your favorite Bionicle parody on the internet right now? Mine is "Your Leader" (Believer)
  21. Thefirstshadow, I think you are mixing up the Ahvoki with the Ignika. The mask of LIGHT is not the mask of LIFE. And yes, Moana did travel to the shrine near the beginning of the movie, where her predecessors had laid their stones. Sure, it's not physical Toa power, but the stones symbolize political power, therefore they are powerful.
