I hand you your MP3 player to crown that kill. You put on the earphones.
"I Am... All of Me" by Crush 40 starts playing. Just your type of edge.
*tap tap*
You turn around. BANG.
Two bullets, pointblank.
"that'll settle our grudge..." I give you a couple more for the road.
"this mask... this power... is this my destiny...?"
I grab the mask and hop on my motorbike.
"huh... guess i might as well try"
I ride into the darkness of the night, a dark only rivalled by that of my past.
"if you want this mask... you better get ready for a fight..."

Having my Onua Nuva at eye distance right now, I'm impressed. The set's shape is very nicely interpreted here, while also giving it some of that ever-needed personality.
Onua's just the best, isn't he?

Mad Max: Fury Road (George Miller, 2015).

I'll regret saying this very soon, but here it comes...
This is the most appealing non-LEGO brand I've ever seen. If they weren't the unreliable trash they most certainly are, I'd try to get some (and keep them at least 5m away from by LEGO stuff).
...Mata Nui forgive me...

I'm been thinking about how a TLM-style BIONICLE film would be. I'd be doubtful of it being CCBS, since to the public eye that's probably hard to sell as LEGO (a weathered minifigure talking and moving is a bit different to a tall, weathered, mechanical-looking humanoid talking and moving...). Something like Brickonicle on that-other-forum-I'm-not-sure-if-I-can-mention would be more likely to float in TLG's current mindset. Maybe like CHIMA, where the characters are minifigs but they power up into CCBS forms (both in stores of course)?
I'd assume the expressiveness-behind-masks dilemma would be solved by a:making them minifigs, and/or b: having the masks work as visors ala Knights' Kingdom, or more recently, like the Oni Masks in NINJAGO. They could flip 'em down for battle ala Optimus Prime and keep 'em up while quipping so kids can keep up with who says what.
The writing would be fast-paced, referential and have some message about parenting and teamwork, like it or not. They've done well enough on that so no worries.
And the villains would be made-up/a collection of aspects of existing villains.
But the one thing we can be 100% sure about, is that, should Warner and TLG come up with a BIONICLE reboot on theatres, the sets are gonna be lit. Like, VERY good.

Out comes a cyber-helmet shop!
In goes a loaf of bread!

MN: I think I know which version of Pokémon I should get Ackar for his birthday...

My former right hand, impressed but cautious at the spectacle, declares a city-wide dance-off. The winner shall get a copper Miru and political favours °wink°. Participation is mandatory.
Using those unknown abilities you displayed, you steadily rise through the bracket. The Grand Final is here.
Needless to say, you win. As you appreciate the copper Miru's excellent craftsmanship, you unknowingly prepare for the other prize.
You look up. Vahki everywhere.
You're under arrest for pretending to be the Popo. Sentence: a Kanoka in the face.
It was a Reconstitute at Random. Ouch.
If that's not getting 'em, I don't know what is.

Feeds on insecurities!
The Onu-Koro Great Mine.

I do care about it though. Laval comes back. We both CHI up into powerful CCBS monstrosities, then we zap you away into a garlic plantation or something.
Back in our standard forms, we hold the mask together in a brief moment of friendship. Then I notice I really didn't like Legends of CHIMA that much, and NINJAGO is still top.
He fades back into oblivion.
And I guess I keep the mask!

Out comes Kraata-Kal.
In goes a grandfather clock.

Ackar: It's over, Strakk! I have the high ground!

You had to give a new name afterwards...Jealous Mask Maker
I'll take it if you don't mind and say Kurahk.
-
By order of Turaga ME, you must deliver that mask immediately!
Now! Also don't mind that Nuurahk behind you.
Thank you citizen! Now BACK TO THE FURNACE!
The mask is safe in my hands!

I've always wanted one of those bigfig alarm clocks. They look fun (until I get fed up with them waking me up, that is!).
Wonder what some G2 clocks would look like. We did have some in G1, but just like those were in a common format for LEGO clocks back then, these are the format now, and they're a very minifig-centric one at that, so it'd have been interesting to see them stretch the format for CCBS.

The burning of my settlements went public very fast, and my campaign promises haven't been forgotten. In a few days I, or rather my public persona, has been idolised into a righteous martyr.
My crazed followers leave no stone unturned, and my former influences help as well. Eventually your home is surrounded. Your only way out is on the Vahki force's hands.
My grave is visited en masse. The inscription is as humble as they thought me to be:
"Got 'em."

Kadin.

That was my stunt double. You're assassinated by someone who I'm totally acquainted with.
Got them.
-
This is Spherus Magna though. A Skrall disembowels you.
Mask? Mine.
-
OOC: Yeah, that was too long. I had it brewing since back when we were being all dramatic and wanted to get it out. Oh well!
IC: Hah! My spine was already broken!
I send my disciples to get it back!
...
Huh? Looks like none of that happened...
Anyway, I shoot you from a helicopter and get the mask with a grabber claw.
My mask- Oh wait that's a Mahiki.
And... there. My mask!

Basking in your victory, you fail to notice the rising water below you. By the time you notice, you're already neck deep.
The cold darkness engulfs you. The only thing your senses pick up is a faint, yet beautiful cry.
...sympathy is never lasting i hunger for revenge...
Foolish you may be, but you're not careless. You hold the mask tightly against your chest as your vampiric senses activate.
...pretending everything will be pretending everything is going...
Something is coming, slowly yet steadily. You can sense its sharp tusks aiming your way.
...on and on and on and on...
You brace yourself!
...
Dermis Turtles? Just a bale of four inoffensive Dermis Turtles?!
...That explains the tusks, and the beautiful cry. Yet you can't help but feel that this is not the true source of the alarms. It's almost as if something else was hiding among them...
It is.
...FAAAAAAAAACE MEEEE...
A barrage of projectiles detonates against you, engulfing you in blinding light. Among them, a mighty winged figure approaches, its mask easily distinguishable as a Faxon. On its back, another being wearing a Komau, and triumphantly brandishing a device from which those chants blare.
...CLOSER TO REALITY... CLOSER TO THE EDGE...
Your vampiric abilities are useless as you're impaled by a set of talons. One of them rips straight through your heart.
...CLOSER TO REALITY... CLOSER TO MYSELF...
The Komau-wearing being, me, deactivates his mask's influences over the Faxon-wearing being. The Dermis Turtles look on, trapped by some unexplained interest.
The Ignika was passed by the talons through one of its eyeholes. Of course, it is intact.
As we begin to remove it from your loyal grip, the Ignika's mysterious plans come into play once again...
An explosive energy modifies me, the other, and the four Dermis Turtles...
...FAAAACE ME...
New from BIONICLE. The Mask of Life has given birth to new heroes! Led by their masters, Hahli and Lipuret, the four Toa Dermis are here! With new armor and weapons, these amphibious warriors take the battle for the Mask of Life to new levels! BIONICLE. Each set sold separately.
...
What?
The... uh... Toa Dermis'... mask.
...But since I am their... "master"... that makes it my mask!
seriously what just happened

Pieces of a large picture being slowly teased in builup to something big...
...just my thing.
I'm specially curious about the pattern in the background, centered with the blue cloudy "O" thing. If the logo's a full "BIONICLE", won't that thing make it too unbalanced?
Also it's shape and intricacy. It reminds me of a brain, which would make sense given the backstory to the GSR's concept...
And showing us the first three letters "BIO" (which also read as a perfectly reasonable date), and then showing us "ON" while confirming the project's existence? Pure genius. I [NON-CANON] this guy.
