The bartender gives the first man his bill, and he finds that he was vastly overcharged. He goes to the bartender to sort out the problem, and as he does so the other man steals his car. The man sorts out his bill but finds that the other man has left with his vehicle. Suddenly, a cat enters the bar, and amazingly, begins to speak. What does the cat say? Not so much with Birthday Girl. Took her out on Sunday, didn't feel much of a connection. Asked her out again, she said she had actually been dating a guy for about a month, which makes no sense because she's listed as "single" on a social networking site, and she went out with me once. Good news is, I never decidedly liked her in the first place. My mom was like, "Oh, ask her out, give her a chance." So I did. Now she's like, "Yeah, sorry about that, you should've just gone with your gut." Whatever. Unfortunately, at the moment, I've literally exhausted the "cache" of "candidates" among girls I already know. So need to branch out, because I don't feel like waiting till I go to school to meet someone, although if that happens I won't say boo (there are some very lovely ladies at Liberty ). So between that and the epically awesome 24 premiere, that was my weekend. Also, guess what--Charles Logan (portrayed by Gregory Itzin) is returning to 24 towards the end of this season! Woot! Oh, and classes started back up again for the semester, at long last. Can't complain, I had an enjoyable and lengthy break. Now... Tuesday five! *pulls pin on grenade, throws* 1. One of the many ways in which I found 2009 disappointing was the lack of focus for the first part of the year. Malum was positioned as the main character until Mata Nui descended to the world. Meanwhile, does anyone even know what's the deal with Malum? He had a great storyline, great potential for character development--all of which has been wasted, IMO. 2. I find Michael Dorn's voice acting for both BTLR and Bionicle.com horrid. It's hopelessly generic. Hopelessly. Picture a dialogue between the two titans, Makuta and Mata Nui. Makuta, in his rich, deep, growling voice: "Join me in my rebellion. Worship me, and we will walk the path of gods." Mata Nui: "My name is Mata Nui. I was a robot. I don't want to fight." Which sounds cooler? xD *hides in foxhole*
