I had that happen once where I had to go dig up someone from about six years ago and apologize after all that time. It's never a good thing to just let sit, especially when someone's hurt over it.

You ever had something where you hurt someone and didn't apologize? That can really ruin the rep as much as having an overinflated ego.

But wouldn't inflating the ego just bring you up to their level (and I don't mean that in a good fashion)?

*nod* We naturally want to think of ourselves and only ourselves, what we want, how we're getting hurt, how we feel, etc. Especially when it hurts, humility can sometimes take a nosedive, even for people who normally have an easy time with it.

Just takes a mindset of thinking about the other person before thinking about yourself.
