  1. Winter Soldier, from Marvel comics.I'm going to cover one arm in duct tape, to give the cybernetic look of his arm. I have black cargo pants, a black workshirt, and I'm getting a friend to repaint a combat vest for me.Ask for the diamond mask, I figure I'll use black face paint, because I don't believe I'll find any (good) diamond masks in my area.
  2. I have Borderlands, all the Halo games, Medal of Honor: Airborne, MOH (2010), Call of Duty 2, 3, WaW, Black Ops, Rainbow Six Vegas, R6V2, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, GRAW2, Saint's Row, SR2, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Conviction, Brothers in Arms, Mafia II, GTA IV, Mass Effect, ME2, Godfather II, The Saboteur...And that's all that I can name off the top of my head.Does anyone here own Spec Ops: The Line? Would you recommend it?

    Top 5 PS2 Games

Battlefront, Battlefront II, and The Simpsons Hit and Run I all own... on the Xbox, but I still own them nonetheless. Still fun to play, and I have a bit of a tradition of playing Hit and Run from the 24-31 of the month since I was 10.
  4. Alright! August 28th, I started college. Right now, I'm taking five classes at a total of 13 credits. (I'll need 30 credits every year, or 15 per semester. I went into college with 3). The History Class is allot darker than anything I've taken in high school, so it's a nice refresher from all the sugarcoated history I was taught. The English class is interesting (partly because the teacher can keep our attention, partly because to the right of me are four girls haha). So far we've been doing readings of short-stories, and on occassion, he cracks a joke about the students in the class. Math is Math, which really isn't saying much. I'm taking a Communications class. Why I decided to do so is to help me with my public speaking, which in turn would make me look good in front of my friends when i make 'spur-of-the-moment' speeches. And then there's researching history, which is a good class, but for thirty minutes. After that, it's a bit of a fight to keep focusing. I've paid a visit to the College's library. I haven't checked anything out, but I have spotted many books that have caught my eye. In addition, I've gained a hatred for the Dewey Decimal and Library of Congress system (years at Barnes and Noble have lead me to prefer genre, then alphabetical by author). But what can you do? I've joined the political science club (partly because they have pizza, mostly because of in depth political discussions), as well as The League of Extraordinary Nerds (awesome group. We'll be having a discussion of Batman next week, and we're working on getting the Bat Signal at the college). Seeing as how I'm a commuter, and I can't drive, I'm usually dropped off at the campus around 7 in the morning, with my earliest class Communications (8:30AM Monday, Wednesday, Friday), or History (11:30AM Tuesday, Thursday). But there are some people I talk with while I'm waiting, and they're great to talk to. They really bring down my stress levels before (and sometimes after) some classes. And the fact that some of my friends go there is a big plus too.
  5. Personally, I'm angry with AMC splitting up the final season for this year and next year. But it'll at least give me something to do next summer. And then there's the wait for the DVD...I really like how Jesse took the position as the only sensible mind in the season ("What about a magnet?") while Mike and Walt got into a yelling competition.Additionally, I thought that Ted Beneke was dead (I think we all did). Why bring him back if it's only for a few words? He played no role this year, but I think he'll play some part in 2013. How large of a role is yet to be determined.
  6. So from August 3-5, I was at the New York DeMolay Convention. It was a fun time. Friday, I showed up with a Captain America hoody and shirt (which soon after got me the nickname of Captain America). We held our State elections for Master Councilor, Deputy Master Councilor, Senior Councilor, Junior Councilor, and Sweetheart. Then after, we proceeded to eat pizza and play games, of which our Region won 3/4 times. Went back to where we were staying, I went to bed, I just passed out. Saturday, I took the position as our Region's news editor. Very nice for me. In addition, myself and a few others pooled some money and got to pie our former State Master Councilor. I snuck a piece of the pie, and it was good. Lemon flavored, I believe. Later in the day, we had a dance, and that was pretty fun. Went back to the hotel, and since my roommate is beyond awesome, he brought back Fruit by the Foot, Fruit Roll Ups (I haven't had those since my elementry school years), and gushers (which were my first time having them). I close my eyes because a commercial was on TV, and the next thing I knew, I was asleep. Sunday saw the close of the Convention, and me being myself, I was awoken by my alarm around 7:00AM. I turned it off, thinking I'd get up after a few more minute. It was 9:48AM by the time i woke up the second time, and I was practically having a heart attack because I thought I missed something. But I recovered, and it was all good. Took home a DeMolay shirt (building a collection now), a glass that I can use as a gavel, a rare pin, and a Batman poster that includes the posters of all the previous Batman films. The only disappointing thing I have to say about it is the fact it only happens once a year. I mean it was soooo much fun.
  7. I took a trip to Buffalo, New York, on June 11th, and met Marcus Luttrell at a book signing at Barnes and Noble. I read 'Lone Survivor' (if you haven't, go read it. It's a depressing read, but an amazing one. I shed man-tears at the end of it.), but I didn't bring it with me though (I let my friend borrow it. He didn't finish it. Or he did and he doesn't want to give it back). But I did bring his latest book 'Service' and I got that signed. I walked into the building, got in line, and saw him. I was filled with some sort of feeling... a mix of excitement, with some fear... like I didn't deserve to be in his presence. Did you ever have one of those moments where you've spent a long time wanting to meet someone so bad, that once you finally meet them, you're at a loss for words? Yep. I had one of those moments. My jaw dropped, and I couldn't say a thing. So I said what came to my mind at that moment: "Ever since I've read 'Lone Survivor' I wanted to meet you." I got a picture with him, I shook his hand, and then thanked him. It. Was. Amazing.

    Graduation

As of June 8, I officially graduated from High School. And now I have over a dozen graduation parties to go to today (I'm throwing mine in August, away from everyone else's). And on June 10, I will be in Albany at the Albany Comic Con. I might see some of you there, or not. Depends on what I find.
  9. I got to go on the Senior Cruise with my NJROTC Unit Monday and today in Groton, CT. Despite the name, only NS3s (The Highest cadets in our unit can get up to) could go, and we didn't really go on a cruise. We did, however, go on a Submarine (an actual in-commission Sub (Today), and a museum (Monday)). The one in commission was so cramped I sucked in my gut in order to get through some areas, and I had a full stomach (BTW, if you're ever in that area, GET THE NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER!). And the museum... it was a bit cramped as well, but I could at least move around a little. Had General Tso's chicken at the hotel's restruaunt. Somebody was complaining about not feeling well after, but I felt fine (in fact, I could've went for more). And before that, we went to a Sauna, and everyone was relaxed and stuff (until the steam was starting to take the fresh air away). Then we just went into the jacuzzi. Earlier today, we went to the Mystic Aquarium. Saw a Beluga Whale, Sea Lion, penguins, seals, and many more. Saw Spongebob in 4D, which was intresting (the pirate guy will give me nightmares, however). I pet a Stingray (it felt weird). I took around 200 pictures. Some of boats, fish, friends, and medals, others of local architecture and 20mm cannons. So, even though we spent one day in Groton... it was worth it. I had fun, I got two magnets, a T-shirt, and allot of memories.
  10. I'm honestly hoping that this is a "Straw that breaks the camel's back" scenario. LucasArts has been putting out low-quality games for quite awhile, and people have been demanding sequels to two great games. Now imagine the reaction of those people when every last one of them finds out that LucasArts pretty much prevented one those sequels from occuring, but encourage more "Force Unleashed" and "YOU'RE IN THE/ EM-PIRE TO-DAY!/ Star Wars Kinect" Of course, I'm not expecting much. Star Wars fans have a tendency to go "BAAWW THIS SUCKS!" whenever George Lucas makes Greedo shoot for ten minutes, but they'll still buy seven copies.
  11. Went to mine, the place was packed! There was tomato pie, candy, cookies... I didn't get one of the free ones, but it's all good. I still got to see some new inventory that I didn't know they had on stock, and I was able to leave with a Captain America and Hawkeye comic book.
  12. You know what? I wouldn't be surprised if this is the very reason why there isn't a sequel to Republic Commando.
  13. Oh... my... gosh... Words cannot describe it. Go see it. NOW!
  14. Utica College in August. I'm planning on majoring in History. The only career that pops into my mind with that is teaching it, and the last time I checked, there's a bit of a demand for male teachers. So I'll have to aim for Masters. My plans, give or take 5-10 years, I'd go for a Doctorate, and become a history professor.
  15. Alright, so on April 20th (Happy belated birthday to George Takei, BTW), my NJROTC unit had our annual inspection. I was the first to greet the Inspector and direct him to our Instructors. Soon after, myself and the Inspector followed the CO into the gym. Now, being the Cadet Command Master Chief of my unit, I was very nervous (I mean, I probably lost a pound of bodyweight due to sweat). But once it got underway, and he inspected me (got an Outstanding on my uniform, BTW), I just wanted to give a huge sigh of relief. But it was just the begining of the inspection. Going into detail, the Inspector had to inspect every single cadet, which took around an hour. After that, we had some cadets perform drill routines, and then we did the pass-and-review, where we march around the gym in step. After all this, most of the cadets went off to class, but myself, being a part of the Staff (CO, CMC, XO, Ops, Supply, Weapons Officer, and Platoon Leaders), we had to do our own thing. The Inspector checked our numbers (such as covers, ribbions, drill rifles, etc). Meanwhile, Ops, XO, myself, and CO, waited in the library for awhile, discussing plans for world-domination Cambodian Fishing boats and yachts (how we got to that conversation I have no idea), until we were called down to the classroom to help the Weapons Officer to put away the Drill Rifles. After this, we continued our action-packed waiting. Mostly for sandwhiches from Subway (BTW, I don't recommend flat out drinking half a gallon of caffinated soda in a few minutes on an empty stomach. I felt like my heart was going to explode). And then the Inspector came by to the classroom for the briefing, which was lead by the CO, XO, and Ops. The briefing went over very well, and he was impressed. We won't know if we got "Distinguished Unit", "Unit Achievement" or "Just Passed" for another few weeks though, so please do me a favor and keep your fingers crossed. And on April 21, I was installed as the Master Councilor of my Chapter of DeMolay. Now I can easily say that this ceremony was allot less stressful, simply for the fact that it was for one or two hours, rather than six hours. Seeing as how I have a debate in government class this Friday, I thought of taking the route of "index-card-with-4-lines-of-text-and-make-a-speech-from-that" method. Personally, I think I could've put more preparation into it, but people did say that they liked my speech, so I'm happy. So, is there anyone else here that's in JROTC or DeMolay? or both?
  16. I'm glad I'm not the only one who probably read this in Stan Lee's voice.... or caught the refrences to the TV show....Anyways, depending on what I can scrape together, I'll try and pay a visit to TRU and get this.

    2012 Election

    I'm voting for Ron Paul.
  18. Ron Paul. Everyone else makes me depressed for the future.
  19. Revolution 2.0 by Wael Ghonim. It's about how social media was used to overthrow Mubarak back in 2011.
  20. -You know that Geico pig commercial? Well, if that little piggy went "WWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" one more time, that little piggy would've paid a visit to the breakfast table.-JG Wentworth. Every time I hear this commercial, it makes me I wish I was deaf.-That commercial on Adult Swim that goes "I like cheese" for twenty minutes. Again, it makes me wish I was deaf.
  21. I had. I went to the Mission "Pillar of Autumn," and it took multiple trys to get it. As in as soon as I hit around 20, I stopped counting.Head towards the cliff. See that elite at the bottom? Sprint when you're really close to going off the edge and go for him. Again, it will be multiple trial-and-error-and-resetting. Sometimes, that elite will be off the the left, others, you could overshoot him completly (again, more than 20 tries). I even landed on top of him once, hit the assassinate button, but all it did was melee (I can tell you, I was cursing for a good few minutes).I'm sure there's a video of how to do it somewhere. Try finding that first.
  22. I got Winter Soldier number 2 a few days ago, Captain America and Bucky 628, and I got the Red Skull: Incarnate graphic novel. On my way out, I saw Civil War: Frontline, and I'm still chewing myself out for not bringing more money to get it.
  23. This was the hardest part on Insanity for me. Partly because of the Collectors at the start, and again with the closed doors when I didn't have the Cain. This was the absolute hardest part of the game on Insanity. But once that's finished it should be... not as extremely difficult?* Providing you'll do the other loyalty missions and get the weapon upgrades.
  24. I'm back from seeing Act of Valor. Up until today, I have never seen the audience clap at the end of a movie. Did you see the movie? If so, what were your thoughts on it?
