  1. I preferred Adrenaline in Mass effect 2. It was a lifesaver in many areas on insanity. As for Mass effect 1, I didn't really use any. Pretty much only Unity, if that counts.
  2. The Scions, though awful as they are, can be outrun. What made me want to throw my controller at the TV (and is making my blood boil as I remember it), is the praetorian. I cannot count how many times I mowed down the scions, only to have that annoying beast get a lucky shot. And then the lack of medi-gel...
  3. In addition, Robspierre (I think that's how his name was spelt), was executing people left and right during the Revolution. He wanted a ten day week, 40 day month (I think. I don't recall the exact numbers from my Global History class). Scheduling would face nightmares.
  4. Some people added me randomly onto theirs, so I just say "Oh, cool."I only add people if I frequently communicate with them, or the such.
  5. So Guinness Book of World Records held a poll asking what were the top 50 video game endings of all time. The end result is this list: 50. Resident Evil 4 49. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 2. Halo: Reach 1. Call of Duty: Black Ops Does anyone feel that half (well, more than half) the games on this list shouldn't be here? I mean, I understand it was a poll, but seriously?
  6. I went to the comic book shop today, and found a "Winter Soldier #1" poster. It's coming out on February 12. Bad news for me, though, it's closed on Sundays.Still, I know what I'll be doing that week.
  7. Enjoy the day, drink some eggnog, and watch a special on TV for me. Have an amazing Christmas, and I'll see you all next year Best Wishes, -Guy
  8. When I clicked on this entry, I just saw an ad for Old Spice... amazing coincidence. I had a can of the stuff, but I rarely used it (at this point its just once every three or four months). The smell is tolerable, in extremly small amounts. But when someone sprays half a can, then I honestly hope whoever does so suffers some brain damage.
  9. Movies:-Letters from Iwo Jima-Downfall-Flags of Our Fathers-A Bridge Too Far-Big Red One-Star Wars Miniseries:-World War II in HD-Vietnam in HD-Band of Brothers
  10. -Flame wars over stupid stuff. Seriously people, mellow out.-Ponies. It's one thing to see an avatar or sig, it's completly different when you go to the blogs and see every third entry as "pony this" or "pony that". I understand that people are fans, but it's starting to get annoying.-Once every four or five years, the word filter. The filtering of some words are very understandable. Others, however, are a bit ridiculous.
  11. Pretty much every FPS was overhyped, in terms of everything (I'm talking about advertising, characters, plot, gameplay). I say it was a pretty disappointing year in terms of shooters.
  12. The Hangover.I watched at least most of it before flat-out quitting. You hear one Vegas joke, you heard'em all.Halloween 87 finished the up the series very well. Why add in a pointless sequel, aside from the "Make more money on the oh-so-original masked stabber horror movies!"
  13. I was at Barnes and Noble back in October. I was looking at the comic books, looking at whatever caught my eye. Then I find this one comic book, and from the corner, it had that look and a font that I would find in a World War Two propaganda poster. I picked it up, and it had The Red Skull on it. Being a fan of Captain America, and knowing who his nemesis is, I decided to pick it up, and get a little backstory on the guy. Even though it was the third in a series of five, I didn't believe I would've missed much. Right now, I'm have regrets that I didn't find this series sooner (and I'm looking for parts 1 and 2 as we speak). I can't really describe the story overall (again, I need parts 1 and 2), but it's one of those stories where you sort of feel bad for the villian. Like a tragedy, you watch as what could've become a good person, takes the most depressing of a fall (if that's the right word), to the point of where he becomes one of the cruelest characters in Marvel's Universe. So, what can I say about the story's theme? I want to say that its theme was about wasted potential, because someone tells Johann that they can change the world for the better, for the weaker people, but Johann, after going through the life he had, he just wants to be strong, and only strong, at any cost. And that was shown through-out this issue. Now, to go on the hunt for Magneto: Testament. I hear that's pretty dang depressing.
  14. SOCOM: Combined Assault.I'm working on getting all the Cross-Talk. After that, I'll play Fireteam Bravo again, and see how much the experience is different.
  15. Sunday: The Simpsons, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad (on hold until (probably) next summer)Monday: Daily Show, Colbert ReportTuesday: Daily Show, Colbert ReportWednesday: Criminal Minds, South Park, Daily Show, Colbert ReportThursday: Daily Show, Colbert ReportFriday: Criminal MindsSaturday: America's Most Wanted
  16. The fact that you brought in the cookies and donuts, even when the director was giving them a hard time, probably helped them out a huge way. And... Would you mind if I use this for my yearbook quote?
  17. I never played KOTOR 2 but I've seen plenty of it and played KOTOR 1, I honestly think KOTOR 2 would've ended up better if Obsidian hadn't been rushed in finishing it, all that dropped content is sad, but luckily the community is restoring it.Obsidian also wanted to make something that could fix up the problems with KotOR2, but LucasArts pretty much said "Nope."But yeah. In terms of plot, I prefered KotOR1 over KotOR2. 2's was okay, but with it taking place so soon after the first one, and with so much... what's the right word... hopelessness(?) in the galaxy at that point in time. It just feels sort of beyond bleak for the Republic. The explanation for 1, isn't really needed.Gameplay wise: KotOR2, hands down. I swear, the weapon switch button helped me out on more than one occassion. And it didn't hurt to have the soundtrack readily available on the main menu.
  18. I'll be prepared for Christmas. I'll be smelling of pine needles, from selling Christmas trees and wreaths.Unfortunatly, some radio stations in my area sarted playing Christmas music now (practically the day after Halloween). I don't want to get sick of Christmas before Thanksgiving even hits. But I hardly listen to the radio until December anyways, so it all works out. Personally, I can't wait for all the Christmas movies and television specials.
  19. I'm currently playing Metal Gear Solid (for the PS1).I'm at the part where I need to go to two different areas to change the shape of the PAL key before "deactivating" Metal Gear Rex.
  20. Found the site in early 2003(?). Spent most of that time (I would think around a year's worth of time, maybe less) looking around the forums, making sure I won't screw up when I would join.
  21. Teleportation.I want to see the world, but I hate airlines, and I want to go to fun places more often. It's also the best power to have when taking over the world helping people.
  22. The weirdest I got was one from a member, asking me to read their comedy. But I'd say it was more so random than weird. Deleted it right after. Was lucky enough to not recieve one of those MIB messages.
  23. I can see the situations where they can be useful, but personally, I prefered the descriptions better. But it would be cool to have both implemented, with the description above the tags, and those two below the topic title.
  24. During the six month break, I took up the challenge of completing Mass Effect 2 on Insanity. Aside from the Praetorian (Should've remembered to bring the Cain onto the Collector Ship), and the early parts of the game (before upgrading the weapons), having a Level 30 character totally paid off. I 1000/1000 it as well (I lack XBL, so I can't access the DLC, which angers me, but I'll get over it. Eventually.).In my first playthrough (On Normal), I had all crew members survive. On Insanity, however, I pretty much made Jack go into Death's Arms. I'm not sure how bad that'll get me in Mass Effect 3, but no matter what, I will say only two words: Worth it.Also completed Mass Effect 1 on the Hardcore difficulty in a matter of days. I started up an Insanity playthrough (again, having the highest level character really pays off). I lost steam halfway through. But hopefully, before ME3's released, I'll have that completed as well. Not 1000/1000 (I would need a few more playthroughs because of the "Stasis, AI Hacking, etc." achievements), but I'll get that done soon enough. On an fun note, one of my friends from school also plays Mass Effect, regarding it as one of the Best Games ever (or that he's ever played. Either one, really). So that's cool to know.
