Stopping work in Metru Nui and migrating South would be bad. It'd be the equivalent of a parasite trying to kill its host. It can't without committing suicide, or moving hosts. And the Matoran can't do that anymore because Mata Nui('s body) is standing up.

Ah, see. I'm not eight years behind. Only four. Although, now I feel worse because those pieces of information did come after I started following the story. On another note, Mata Nui's camouflage system works fast. There wasn't much time between the Great Cataclysm and when the Toa went up there and explored. And on another note, the Bionicle planet is huge. Mata Nui is almost as tall as the planet we humans live on IRL, and you couldn't see very much curve on the planet when MN stood up.

So, I might be a little behind (possibly eight years even), but... Since when did the Bionicle planet have a moon? And where did this image come from?

Since I was to be absent from school on Wednesday, I asked my math teacher what the assignment would be (on Tuesday when I was there). She told me. I also looked it up on the internet to confirm I heard it right. I did. So I did the assignment and had all my weekend math homework done on Tuesday night. I could have done my Health homework, but I opted to do stuff on the computer that night and do Health in the car the next day. I looked at my math grades on the internet to ensure that Tuesday's assignment got to the teacher safely. It had. But the assignment for Wednesday was changed. So now I'm doing it on Thanksgiving.

And in general, wars involving Russia are somewhere between cold and really cold.

So, last quarter I had three classes whose grades were A's without the plus. The others were A+. The classes would be Band , Spanish, and Math. Band: I didn't know it was impossible to not get an A+ with that teacher. I really have no idea why I only had a 96. O.oSpanish: We had a few projects that involved artwork, creative skill, and actual dedication rather than pure knowledge of Spanish. And the one that was three weeks late didn't help. Math: Ah, heck. It's math that's supposedly two years ahead of me, and the teacher isn't particularly easy. Ninety-five point eight is good. Now, we examine my grades thus far into this quarter: Physical Science: 98Spanish: 89Health: 99World History: 98Advanced Math: 96.6Band: 75English: 100 As you can see, I'm not particularly worried about my Science, Health, History and English grades. Oh, look what three that leaves again. Band: I got a 70 on a playing test because I had just gotten a new reed (medium-hard, too) and hadn't practiced it). Also, it would be an 85, but the teacher was half-asleep when she graded one assignment. And the teacher hasn't put new grades in with new assignments yet.Spanish: We had an art-related project. Hm. Once the new assignments and the quiz I just got 100 on are entered in, it'll be higher. Math: It was more like 98 or 99 until today. Yeah. I guess I was rushed or something when I did the worksheet, so I got a 70 on it. Rather upset about that. I could have not gone to the basketball game if I had known I had been rushed. But I didn't feel rushed. Oh, and I forgot to do the last page, which was only four problems, but still...

Heck, not just landing on the moon, but they're planning on establishing a colony there.

I so did not expect the above poster... Wow. That's a lot of questions. Have fun narrowing those down further. They say that destroying is easier than building, but I don't think it's true of text. I always have problems condensing essays or question lists.

Why do they say it ended? Maybe the scare is less than it was during the time period they place the Cold War in, but it is still there. The United States still worries about communist governments in Russia, China, South America, and Middle East. Every so often the media reports on countries that are suspected to have nuclear weapons shipped to them from Russia and China. The powers still try to influence Middle Eastern countries so that they can trade oil with them. And, an instance that doesn't involve the Middle East: the recent conflict between Russia and Georgia, which had quite recently received military training from the US before the instance. So it's not so much that the war ended, but that the contestants have switched. Now the US media is worried about China, N. Korea and Pakistan rather than Russia, N. Korea and N. Vietnam.
