  1. I know the sand tarakava is a thing. But I was saying it's only a slight variation because it'd be easy to replace colors and a few parts on the model. It's actually closer to the MNOG Tarakava which has been made already.
  2. The Pre-Alpha is currently a standalone. You can play it now using the download links on the first page.
  3. Ah I see. Well the planned Rahi are: All 2001 Rahi from MNOG, the sets, and a select few from the Tales of the Tohunga game. 2001 Rahi combiners (including yes, Mana Ko) All Rahi in the master builder set like Hikaki and Vako and Kofo Jaga Kikanalo Some new made up Rahi (like the baby Tarakava) That should be roughly 30 rahi, maybe more in the game
  4. It can run just fine without Unity
  5. Ooh, now that would be neat(if possible) Only reason why they wouldn't would be: Programming issues(game's taking too long, etc.) No actual set models I have no idea what you guys are talking about. The Battle of Kini Nui was because the Chronicler's company needed to protect the Toa Mata while they were in Makuta's Chambers. To imply that a battle of Kini Nui would be in our game would be to say the same thing would happen again, which is not the case. Secondly, no set models? I am completely confused. Nui Kopen, Kuma Nui and Kofo Jaga have official combiners/looks. Sand tarakava is just a slight variation of the existing tarakava. In fact, I have a Nui Kopen IN the image update today. Maybe you both can clarify what you're talking about? Edit: I should also mention that there are currently 15 Rahi in the game and thats only 1/3 of the final amount. So that far exceeds 8.
  6. UPDATE! Hey there everyone! It's about time for an update! The team (now 10 people) have started working again on MNOG 3D! Right now we are working on the following: New Rahi! Updating the old assets Making new assets Creating 3 new areas: Ga-Wahi Ta-Wahi Onu-Wahi These areas will be more or less connected. Ga-Wahi will directly transition into Onu-Wahi however Ta-Wahi is completely closed off and the only way to get there is by boat. I have my reasons. This being said, new features will be: Riding boats Inventory Fighting Rahi and possibly a shop system. Here are just a few screens of what we have so far. From left to right top to bottom: Nui Kopen, Nui Rama, Fikou, Ussal Variant, Cliff bug, Infected Hoi, Hoi, Baby Tarakava. Two of these you should recognize from a REALLY old game where we are taking a bit of inspiration and one really old unreleased game we are often compared to...thanks. Tales will also be an influence on our character creation system for the next update. More on that soon. Bohrok's Nest Exit in Ta-Wahi created by doodleloot. This is an example of what we're moving towards in art style. So no more awkward mix of realistic textures and base colors. We are essentially revamping all of our old textures to match this style. It's hard work, but we'll pull through! We also have some new team members. Shadow Destroyer and cdrch! Welcome to the team guys!
  7. Thank you! That'll help me find the root of it. Also, starting Monday, we are getting back to work on this project. Expect some new screens, updates, and exciting new details on the next chapter of MNOG 3D. A little sneak preview is this: Ga-Wahi Rahi fights Inventory/item collection Ga-Koro refined Swimming fixed (hopefully) Quality settings fixed Assets redone Style updated ...and more! Unfortunately, the Kewa transit and Ussal pen lied. When they said come back in a month, they should have said come back in December. Yes, the new update will be in December. The reason for this is more time for tweaking and making sure everything is right!
  8. I'd say try redownloading the game or something. It seems strange that it's pink. Perhaps something went wrong? I haven't seen the problem anywhere else
  9. There seems to be an issue with the gravity in the water. For people with lower framerates the gravity makes you sink really quickly and can't get off of the ground. With higher framrates the gravity works just fine. Normally you'd hold space to swim upwards but I've noticed some are unable to get off of the ground. This is being looked into. Also, as far as the pink waterfalls, what version are you using?
  10. I don't think it's so much that. I like the minisodes we're going to get online. It'll be like the MNOG days
  11. I was talking today with a few people about a McDonalds promotion, but no one seems to think its a thing, mostly because it would be too expensive. The price of plastic has gone up and though I would LOVE some tiny guys, it doesn't seem to be in the cards. Also Lego hasn't done anything with an actual set since 2001, which is a tad disappointing.
  12. Disappointed like everyone else that Mata-Nui is gone? That's quite an assumption. I like everything being different. I enjoyed Bionicle for many years and the saga of Makuta versus Mata-Nui, but I am excited for the newness of what Okoto has in store and Ekimu and Makuta's roles in everything. The whole series looks fun and exciting and I can only hope that the story contains the same amount of mystery. Also Makuta is Makuta again. Yes.
  13. I was kinda disappointed there wasn't going to be a Cartoon Network TV show or anything because there wouldn't be a snazzy theme song. Lego has been pretty ok with Bionicle themes aside from Yo yo Piraka so perhaps they will do some epic stuff.
  14. I hope they tighten the masks a bit before release but COME ON TAHU IS SO COOL. I used to hate him, but seriously, his sword wings in the back make him look like an awesome Gundam. This is going to be a great comeback!
  15. Hold shift to sprint. Standard in PC FPS Thank you for your support and playing the game!
  16. Dude that's STAR SOLDIER! Only the greatest...bootleg...ever...
  17. I really want Pohatu and Tahu. They look awesome!
  18. 1. We will have alternate masks, but nothing like VNOG styled masks, as they don't really fit the style of our game. As far as other masks, like variant, this has been answered before. Yes. 2. Yes 3. Saying it's forever mine is kind of a weird thing. Its more like, make mods if you can, but I'm not giving you my scripts for free. I may make the models downloadable though. 4(?) No Tohunga will be in the game. Sorry. But rebuilt aren't the ONLY Matoran in the game. There maybe 1 or 2 different ones. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Expect more interesting stuff in the future! Edit: Welcome to BZP! And I, like everyone else, is excited for what Okoto has in store.
  19. Ussals are mounts, yes. Pick the one you want in the pen and buy him. He will wait for you at the front of the village. They can't enter villages or water, but they can help climb mountains and the like. The system will work similarly to Skyrim's stables. Kewas and boats are warp points. Boats take you to wahi warp points and Kewas take you to the Kewa transits in the koro. Edit/Update: Hello MNOG 3D Fans! We have been featured in several lets plays and other videos and we'd like to say THANK YOU! Your support is MUCH appreciated! Perhaps...there is some incentive for doing this? Keep it up
  20. I don't want to reveal TOO much. But, the inventory will be interesting. Sort of a combination of a simplified grid inventory and a quick select. The player also has a home base. This I will NOT reveal because, well, the nostalgia wouldn't quite hit you correctly. But trust me. Also yeah treasure chest in your hut. Check. Trophy shelf in your hut for masks. Check. Easy to return to. Check-ish. You WILL have to take a boat or a kewa, but that's not a huge deal. Just make sure you're prepared before you go into the Wahi!
  21. Well, I wasn't planning on having you able to steal from Matoran. You're sort of a forced aligned good, so to speak. Games like Skyrim, though they are good, have some immersion breaking things like stealing items by putting buckets on the NPCs heads...etc. You wouldn't be able to sell them, nor own more than a single Kolhii staff, so taking other Matoran's items would be intentionally mean spirited. It'll be considered if not abused.
  22. I appreciate your enthusiasm.
  23. Suggestions would be great! We already have taken suggestions for improving water functionality as well as fun easter eggs. A lot of the game's ideas are backpacking off of several things people liked in OTHER Bionicle games as well. We are also avoiding the, erm, not so fun things like a lot of MNOG II and repetitive games like Bionicle Heroes. For many years we have been active Bionicle fans, so we love what you love (essentially). If you have any quest ideas, neat mechanics that would fit the world, by all means PM me at any time!
  24. Great you solved it ^^ yeah, its mostly those little things lurking in corners that sometimes get you stomped. As for involvement, do you happen to know anything about scripting in Java? We could really need help with that because so far Specs is the only one doing all the Java Script XD Unfortunately, no, but I do feel I might be able to help somewhat on suggesting what you should do next I might be able to do some basic textures, but idk (At the moment anything would be better than the ones you are using right now, though (No offense)). I just want to see this reach it's fullest potential (I've been around here a long time, and this has been one of the few promising/working 3d prototypes, maybe even the only public one since the forum crash), and help you further flesh out gameplay concepts. I feel that I could adapt myself to be useful in your development team, although I have no experience currently. That's why I want to build some. Well, I appreciate your desire to work on this game, however, lack of experience is not something we are looking for. This is not necessarily for you, or any one in particular but to anyone in general who would like to work on this game. We have the entire game planned. Start to finish. We know what village to do when and what goes in it. Every feature we have planned, though through development, as making games go, will probably change slightly. Granted, this is a fan project, it is also not a "lets randomly make a game and drop it half way" project. At least, it's not turning out to be. Your suggestions in PMs, the threads, and even through email are greatly appreciated, as long as you don't assume we have no idea what we are doing. Yes there are bugs. Yes the textures are unfinished. Yes some houses are empty. Yes there are some low poly assets. And yes, this is a PRE Alpha. We are all internally aware of the issues and work daily to rectify them to the best of our abilities. As I have mentioned before, this pre-alpha was more of an internal test to see if we got the core mechanics of the game correct, which we did. The emotion and nostalgia experienced from the game thus far was astronomical, and I must say, we are very satisfied this was successful. You should take the game as we have shown it, which is to say, not even into Beta phase yet. I appreciate your support and hope you continue to support MNOG 3D! Please, have faith in the project and watch as the world grows and develops over time.
  25. Just an update, for anyone with problems on getting it to work on their WINDOWS computer, I added a new download link: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9317654/MNOG3D_PreAlpha_WIN.zip This has both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions. Linux has no solution yet. Mac should still be running properly
