  1. Know what I have learnt from that Comic...?Who needs to read 'Tales of the Masks' I can simple read all of these comics involving your Bzp Birthday xpOh, I fixed a panel for you aswell...eljay_7yrcomic_edit.pngDon't have to thank me ^^---Great Comic though, as always Eljay =D
I don't have to thank you... Just kill you. >=)Kidding of course! That panel is hilarious! I think I need to add a spot to the front post for fan/friend content... Anyways, glad you enjoyed it!
Well, my post asking if I had guessed was deleted. :PGreat comic Eljay, I liked that this comic, while as special seemed a lot more plot oriented. It was also, funny, as usual TLLoACM tends to be.A slight issue I had was you somehow slicing a door in half and somehow knocking it off its hinges and send it forward.
Yeah, I am very happy with this comic. I seem to have balanced out a lot of the old and the new. Still a WIP, of course. And hey, I am a very skilled swordsman. cool.png Thanks! And new comic! Everyone wish Speeder a happy birthday!sig.png
  2. Poor Venom didn't get anything?! Just take Meso's bike, paint it into Venom colors, and give it to him. Works every time.
He got a nice song! And besides, if we did that, Meso would kill us like he did Jimi Stringer. =P
XD I totally for about Pink Day...I should mark it down.
June 23rd... *shutters*WELL, NEW COMIC! No one guessed, so that is fine, but today is my 7 year anniversary on BZPower! I hope you all enjoy the comic!sig.png
  3. If you're a front page-lurker, you've no doubt noticed by now that Bionicle is dead.
I found this to be insulting. Saying it on the front page for LEGO employees to see only makes things worse. It's like the general populace doesn't even want it to come back!
Please show me a accurate number of Bionicle related news articles that aren't fan based that have been published this year alone. Once you have that number, please come back and tell me Bionicle isn't dead. The sets are gone, and the story is somewhat in a stand-still. Only aspect of it not being dead is that the fans here and across the board are making projects to keep it alive. Open your eyes.In other news, I am very glad to hear this! Always a good day to hear from Greg!sig.png
This news alone proves it isn't dead. We are all keeping it alive in our continued dedication to it, and this news shoes that the story will continue. And who knows, maybe someday even the sets will return.
I do aswell agree it isn't dead. It is just that Oz needs to stop freaking out about these things. The fanbase has been doing a great job keeping it alive over the last 2 years. But anyways. I said in another topic that we should see if Erebus can tell Greg that we thank him for remembering us and giving us this info! I think he'd appreciate it.sig.png

  5. That is awesome! Very glad to hear this. I think that the BS01 page should have spoilers, but absolutely have this added. Also, a personal request. Can you tell him thanks from us next time you get in contact with him? I remember last August a lot of people may have sent him PMs thanking him, so please tell him that we miss him and he'll have a very warm welcome when he returns!Thank you!sig.png

  6. ALSO! A very important comic is coming up very soon. The first person to guess what it is about can have a cameo appearance in my side series, Eljay: The Becoming. So, get to guessing! You guys have until Sept 1st!
What if I guessed it correctly and got the cameo appearance in EtB? :P
Then I would kill you. mad.gifNew comic! Wish Venom a happy birthday! Also, last chance to guess which comic will be next to celebrate a certain event. Guess before Sept 1st in order to gain a cameo in Eljay: The Becoming!Enjoy guys!sig.png
  7. Good sir, this is a topic that needed to be made for quite some time!I love guns. My all time favorite (call me crazy) is the AK-47 for it's simplicity, rigidness, and dependability. I also really enjoy the 7.62x39 cartridge.Biggest gun I've shot is an M1A1 Carbine. I may very soon be firing an AR-15 rifle of some sort (M4 I do believe) and a Chinese MAK-90, which is an AK variant. My favorite pistol I've shot is absolutely the M1911.Again, thank you for making this topic! =Dsig.png

  8. Good comic Eljay. I found it funny yet odd that Meso would kill Stringer, and that a devout fan of Hero Factory would be concerned about a hero watching him. Like Meso, I found the entrance of the golden bike with Tuxedonak saying "HERO FACTORY RULES" was worth a good out-loud laugh. :PThe birthday comics have never looked so promising
Thanks! Yeah, I guess it was a tad odd. Always next time  Glad you enjoyed it!
Hey Eljay, I just read through the whole comic series, and it is one of the funiest series on BZP. The humor never seems forced and flows really wel and it you're able to blend the humor with some serious parts. The entire feel of the comic is great, and the backgrounds are all very well done. The Pink day and Thanks giving comics are my personal favorites. Great work.-Star
Thank you very much! Thanks for taking the time to read through all of it as well XD I'm very glad you enjoy the comics. I try and put as much care into the backgrounds and humor as I can. I'm trying to lead back to some older characters as well. Again, thank you!ALSO! A very important comic is coming up very soon. The first person to guess what it is about can have a cameo appearance in my side series, Eljay: The Becoming. So, get to guessing! You guys have until Sept 1st!Thanks guys!sig.png
  9. That was a pretty amazing comic. I loved the Meso-Bike's grand (re) appearance, and the segment at the end was quite hilarious. I walked away from reading the comic feeling satisfied....Until I realized I brutally murdered Stringer and then I hated it and raged cause Stringer's cool.In all seriousness, I can't believe I'd do that. I'm a supporter of the Hero Factory! Even if I am a villain-esque person in a certain way, doing such a thing is tantamount to a declaration of war upon my very beliefs. It's sickening!jk bro kutgw 11/10 thx for birthday comix-Mesonak
XD Wow, that post was hilarious. Well, glad you liked the comic dude! And sorry, but you had to make sure he wasn't gonna follow you. Besides, you can still get his set later! =PHappy birthday, dude!
Now where are my presents?! I finally found someone else who asks that! And where'd you get the Stringer sprites?
They are hidden :PAnd I made them.sig.png
  10. I can't get over how nice those backgrounds look. I remember you telling me a little bit about them, but I still can't imagine how long it must have taken to make them. I REALLY love that archway you made.Anywho, as for the plot progression. Awesome to see that things are picking up. Are we going to get some back story for that Vahki at all? And where did Meso and some of the others go? Either way, looking forward to the next comic very much.Really saddened to see that these don't get more attention. These comics are really a gem in this forum.sig.png

  11. Sorry, Windrider, it's just that... well.... most of us honestly don't have any really nice things to say. Sorry.
If you don't have anything nice to say, than don't say anything.
I'll be honest. Whenever I see this, I see "Look, if you don't think I'm doing this perfectly, then don't say anything at all." My preferred type saying is "If you can't tell me how to fix it, then don't complain if I don't." Obviously, slamming people without grounds often leads to flaming, but if you can both point out a problem and offer some advice as to how you would fix it, then you have to me a perfectly valid reason to state your critique. Now whether he will or even should take that advice can be another matter, since that advice might be horrible in and of itself, but in the very least I think that's a valid reason to state it.I said most of what I wanted to say in the other topic. I'll come back when you actually have content. Don't have text intros. Get some better backgrounds. Lose the Comic Sans.
I understand what you mean, but how it was stated is what I'm speaking of. They could have easily criticized his work in a nicer, more constructive way. Whether or not you think it's a comic gives no one the right to pound his comics with outragous comments. Maybe he would take someone's advice if they actually took the time to try and help him. I don't see anyone who has their heart set on helping him get better besides Soran, and Arg.
Please tell me you are joking. PLEASE. I sure hope so, cause that wasn't funny.I'm fairly sure everyone in this topic who has posted with constructive criticism wanted to help. Otherwise, why bother posting it? Don't write off every post that doesn't have "100/10 KUTGW!" in it as hate, and a post that just wants to be mean.If anything, I'm sure people want to help him because we're tired of seeing him fail so much, and making these "comics" that make us seem like we're children. So please, don't try and say that I haven't been trying to help him improve. He has the know-how. He can make decent comics. He just needs to actually do it.And to Tent - If you don't mind me asking, but in that preview you posted, what font was that? Or was it Comic sans? Just curious.sig.png
My only response is this, if you are really trying to help him, do so with respect and kindness. We all started out somewhere, and I know for a fact that we didn't all get amazing feedback for some of our first comic series. So why do you have to give Tent criticism in a hurtful way? I never told you to reply with, "100/10 KUTGW!", all I'm asking you to do is to have some compassion and empathy and actually try to help him out in a nice manner. If you think that posts like this are going to help him, than you're wrong. Let me ask you something, if you were in the position that Tent is in, would you continue making comics a lot? Please be honest, because I don't think any one of you want to be criticized in this fashion.-Rez
Heck yes I would continue making comics! I don't make comics because people kiss my feet and tell me they're amazing. I make comics because I can make people laugh, and because it is a fun hobby that allows me to work with various art styles, writing, and comedy. If someone pointed out something I did bad in a comic I made in similar fashion to how people are doing so to Tent, then I'll do even better. I invite you to go to both my current comic series' and do so yourself.Sure, people can be more gentle, but we're pretty fed up. If we were all gonna be nice and kind at this point, then we'd get a lot angrier later. Life isn't gonna be all nice and happy, so I don't see a problem here. Also, Tent hasn't shown any anger toward it, and has posted a preview. So this argument is pointless.Let's continue this to PM if you want. I don't want to head too off topic.sig.png

  13. The only problem is that there's nothing to be constructive about. If I have the choice between telling somebody how bad their work is and lying to them, I will do the former.
I agree with telling them the truth, but still it gets to be annoying. Its basically people telling him 'You spelling stinks, you haven't used any form of drawings, your sprites stink, your background and text stinks, etc". Thats fine and all but you can't just tell someone that their comic stinks and expect them to get better. You have to actually help them, suggest things to do, etc. I know that some comic makers might be able to easily improve without help, but there are some that might need it.Anyway, I'm looking forward to how the next comic will turn out. You have a lot of interesting ideas, so I can't wait to check out what you come up with for comic 2.~Soran
This is under the assumption we are flat out saying his comic stinks. To be quite honest, all of the posts here have been constructive to a point. Sure, some have been harsh, but that is life. You just have to deal with it. Not to mention, it is very hard to say it in a nice way. What I see here is a text document in image format. That isn't a comic, that is a picture epic. We've given him all the constructive criticism he needs. What he needs to do is act on it.sig.png
But here's the thing. He's had 3+ series with the same quality, same criticisms and no advancements. Nothing new. Nothing learned.
I've been on this site nearly 7 years now, so trust me, I didn't miss those 3+ comics. And so, what I said still applies. Tent, you need to take everything we've said here into consideration and put it into use.sig.png

  15. Quite honestly, I think the majority of the things in the first post are just being blown out of proportion. While I understand it, I find it ridiculous at all when the Heroes cry out in "pain" when they are hit, considering that they are robots. Villains as well (sans Splitface). I can agree with Fire Lord's hand and Core Hunter, but the others don't honestly seem to be as bad as you are making them out to be, IMO.Also, on the subject of dark things in Bionicle between 01-03:2001 had Lewa getting infected and fighting Onua, the whole concept of Infected Mask seemed kinda dark to some I'm sure, Kopaka getting "crushed" by Pohatu's boulders, Lewa almost drowning... And that is all I can think of for 01 that people may find dark.2002 also had Lewa getting enslaved by the Krana, Tahu as well. Then the whole destroying of the villages, Matoran's homes, the Levahk (acid and all that, and yeah I know it is in HF too) and then, on that subject, all of Le-Koro getting enslaved. And that is all I can think of ATM.And then in 2003 there was Jaller's death, more destruction of Matoran homes, Tahu getting infected and getting mad at Gali and co. And the Toa getting their powers sucked away and being made seemingly hopeless. Then the multiple times people almost got crushed to dust by Nuhvahk Kal. And then the Bohrok Kal's deaths. And the Rahkshi's. And Makuta's "death" when Takanuva hit him with a ball of Protodermis or whatever it was.All in all, there were quite a few "dark" instances in Bionicle between 01-03. I didn't name them all, and I'm sure some of them aren't all that dark, but they were there. I guess it is just the consistencies were different for them due to being Bio-mechanical as opposed to HF characters, which are fully robotic (sans Splitface).Just my two cents, I suppose. Either way, I still think the original post exaggerated a little bit with things. Then again, I most likely did in this post =/sig.png

  16. There is a "first post" for a reason, dude. You explain the series in your first post, not your first comic. All I see is writing in panels. If you wanted to write, make a comedy.sig.png
I believe that was done because he has no comics at the moment. I don't see why you had to do this now instead of putting an actual comic up.
It's funny, cause he appears to never have any comics.Giving it a quick read-through, you say you don't need to have an amazing story to make it as a comic maker, like the "bigshots." First of all, who would these bigshots be? Second of all, of course not. But this isn't a story. This isn't anything.sig.png
