  1. I vote Xaeraz and Burnmad. Xae's obviously Mafia and Burn is the Pyro. EDIT: Grammar Hammer.
  2. Some of us got over the BZP addiction long ago. Now it's just a fun side-endeavor.
  3. Can I just say this is the creepiest thing I've run into on this fine Halloween night? I'll take any spot.
  4. I would like to just move on to the next game. We all knew how this one was going to end and it's been going on for too long (as evidenced by this topic still being here). Dealing with this game was simply tiring and I'd like to move to something more interesting and engaging.
  5. No, but Jaller is still very, very smart.
  6. Someone needs to invent sarcasm tags.
  7. Now might be a good time to suggest the creation of a Mercenary Registry similar to the shops and inns list FT keeps.
  8. I'm in before this fills up. It promises to be interesting.
  9. IC: Hewkii nodded as well and departed into the crowds. After ditching his disguise in an alleyway, he returned to his office to continue what work he could before the summit.
  10. IC: "Discretion comes before politeness. For now, work on building your networks."
  11. IC: Hewkii shushed him. "Please do not use my title in public." He said. "Yes, your plan sounds sufficient. Your Sentinel badge has already been reported as stolen. I would suggest you leave the village post-haste. Is there anything else you wish to discuss?"
  12. IC: A Matoran entered the bar where Junyaus waited, wrapped in the brown rough travelling cloak seen almost everywhere in Po-Koro. Orange eyes glanced this way and that from behind a borrowed Pakari as he sat down across from Junyaus. "You wished to speak to me?" Hewkii asked quietly. "Please, make it quick. I do not like making these clandestine meetings, as necessary as they may be. I would rather leave them to those more skilled than I."
  13. OOC: If someone wishes to make an attempt on a radio station, they can PM me for security details. IC: After a property was purchased in Ko-Koro, the radio technicians got to work, assembling the large construct inside the building and taking appropriate measures to ensure it wouldn't be stolen or copied. Sound was kept to a minimum, but anyone passing by would often be bothered by the sound of a knee banging on metal or a muffled shout of pain. On several mountain peaks elsewhere, similar projects were underway, and periodically test broadcasts would go along the chain, seeing how far it would go and debugging the system as problems arose. It took some time, but the system was eventually operating at maximum possible reliability.
  14. 1.) What's the most interesting Koro and why for THIS WEEK? 2.) What's your favorite character this week and why? 3.) What do you want to see in the RPG over the next week? 1.) Po-Koro because it is relevant to my interests. 2.) Ishi Polzin. Never stop scheming, ya scoundrel. 3.) The Kini-Nui meeting. It will be many things, but I doubt very much that it will be dull.
  15. IC: Kongu received a very tired messenger from Po-Wahi--he'd travelled on foot all the way across the island, dodging bandits and Rahi attacks as he went. His message for Kongu was short and to the point: Hewkii was willing--and, in fact, quite pleased--to attend the meeting at Kini Nui.
  16. @ Snark: That's not really a community-building and encouraging thing to say. Perhaps something more like "well I suppose, but this is why I don't think of it as CRANE." I would also like to volunteer as a mentor. Helping the new guys is one of my more pertinent interests in this game.
  17. IC: A Po-Toa by the name of Tesax entered Tera's office. He was tall and lanky, with spurs jangling and a crossbow slung at his hip. When he spoke, it was with a strong Mahi-wrangler accent "Ay, boss, I needed ta ask ya--Boss?" He looked around. Tera was gone. When has she left? He shrugged. No matter. He was the commander of the Kikanalo Riders, after all, so she wouldn't object to him just borrowing the inventory sheet so he could do his requisition forms. He pulled out his key and went through the Sentinels' filing system. "Inventory sheet, inventory sheet...where'd it go?" He said, pausing. The inventory sheet was missing. He frowned and stood. Someone had taken the official inventory list to places unknown. He wasn't exactly a stickler for the rules, but a missing list of all the materiel in Po-Koro's arsenal would be problematic, even if it hadn't been updated to account for recent developments. He turned and left--Hewkii needed to know about this. He'd have told Tera, but she was missing. Maybe her disappearance was connected? ~+~ "An' so that's how I found out tha inventory list was missin'." Tesax said. "An' tha last sightin' o' tha boss was on 'er way ta either Ga or Ta-Wahi, sir. Radio station on tha border reported seein' her runnin' like Makuta 'isself was after her."Hewkii nodded and thought. "Thank you for reporting this, Tesax." He said. "Unfortunately it's against the rules to enter your superior's office without permission. Consider yourself on probation for a week. Rest assured I'll take care of the inventory problem." Tesax stood in surprise. "But boss, the sheet's missin', and yer puttin' me on probation fer findin' that out?" Hewkii shook his head. "No. The issue of the sheet is the primary issue, yes. However, you did break the rules, and as such you are subject to an appropriate punishment by your ranking officer. As Captain Tera is gone at the moment, I am that person. Be thankful, your punishment is really quite light." Tesax nodded, but grumbled. "Permission ta be dismissed, sir." "Granted."
  18. IC: The rail opened with great fanfare as the convoy system was disbanded and the first collection of merchants and their wares swarmed into the Naho Bay port, from there to travel across the island and back, or simply to ply their trade in the port itself. However, troubles soon occurred when the rail line running through the desert began to succumb to the dunes. To prevent it from becoming a part of the landscape, handcars were constructed and assigned to crews who would clear the rail line. The locomotive itself also required maintenance--simple it may be, but even the simplest technology had difficulties in the desert, with the blazing sun and the omnipresent sand. Meanwhile, Lenat's semiautomatic crossbows were produced for the Sentinels, and they began training with the crossbows.
  19. Yes, yes, yes, very much this. I don't know about you all, but I don't want playing the BZPRPG to become a chore because of the people I have to deal with. I want it to be fun and relaxing. i want to be able to chat with my fellow players and have honest competitions with them free of accusations of metagaming or quarreling about things that are legal. I want to have fights where people will lose gracefully and win politely. I don't want to see egos get in the way of giving someone else their moment in the spotlight, and I don't want to see IC actions carried across into OOC bitterness. I want to see the fabled days of yore, the Lightbringer/Darkbringer War, when people would fight and lose honestly, compliment each other on a battle well fought in the DT, provide suggestions on how to get better, and be friendly no matter how hard they fought and hot bitter their hatred IC. Am I guilty of most of these transgressions? Yes, certainly. I'm only human, after all (as far as you know). But I, for one, am always making an honest effort to improve and do better. I hope more people do that. But maybe I'm just old. Maybe I'm just a relic of a more optimistic time.
  20. Hey guys. First off, I want to apologize immensely for vanishing unannounced. I let you guys down when you were relying on me and that was unacceptable. I am very sorry for that mistake and I hope you can forgive me for it. I will not be hosting any more games until I am sure I can carry then to completion despite unexpected problems. Second, I see you guys amply demonstrated why I had two Detectives last round. Twice the Mafia means twice the odds of him getting killed. Third, I am very curious to see what was going on behind the scenes, because this is an incredible bloodbath, and if the content of the scenes is connected in any way with what actually happened it doesn't seem like there was any alliance between the two Mafia factions. I'm curious as to how they obtained each others' member rosters. Fourth, I have to admit the bit with Alterego's attempt to get people to trust him was amusing. I doubt very much he had any "proof" in the first place, but if someone had asked him to show that proof it would have been interesting to see what he came up with.
  21. I don't think being called someone's crony is anything to get worked up over, especially with this crowd. People have been called worse and laughed it off.
  22. IC: Po-Koro was a beehive of activity. The Sentinels had finally come up to a strength deemed acceptable, and drill sergeants were busy at work bringing the new recruits up to the level that had repelled the Rahkshi horde three months ago. Sand skiffs patrolled the desert, hunting down fugitives. Foundries, supplied by the Po-Matoran mines, turned out metal goods from cannon (only a few of these, as the metal needed was in great demand and cannon wasn't) to rail (much of this, it would be needed to cross the vast Motara desert). Po- and Onu- Matoran engineers were hard at work on the railway, extending it to a guard outpost on the northern shore of Naho Bay, which was at the same time being expanded into a small port, to which a delegation Ga-Wahi authorities were invited--if they accepted, it would be obvious to them that no untoward activities were going on. A road from the base of Mount Ihu, where the Onu-Koro highway emerged, was under construction as well, leading toward the railway station near Lake Naho. The project to change the exit of the Dark Walk was finally complete As Hewkii stood on the walls of the Koro, he watched the work go on. Part of him was pleased that Po-Koro had finally recovered and could become a place of vibrant culture once again. Another part of him, this part weathered and hardened by recent events, evaluated the changes with worry and trepidation. They were giving potential invaders a beeline to their home, much like the Dark Walk had once been. Was this really the wisest idea...? Only time would tell So Hewkii watched the people who followed his command, who trusted him with their lives, their well-being, and their families, who believed that he would guide their Koro with wisdom and surety, always taking the right course, even if it wasn't immediately apparent. He watched them swarm below him, before him, and behind him at their daily labor. And even in this busy crowd, Hewkii was alone.
  23. Wait, has Brickfair started already? I thought it didn't start until Sunday. Ah shoot.
