  1. I know I'm missing something. The earliest era (which presumably one would consult for "small, old Athens" on that page mentions that all of Greece fielded an army of 7K.
  2. You know, Basilisk, you keep mentioning the Persians and the Chinese and the Romans when the players, AFAIK, really are more comparable to Athens or Thebes.
  3. @ Tyler: See, my problem with that is that I'm planning this to be an entirely different version of the assassination. Otherwise the players could just go look up stuff in the actual Warren Commission report and use that. XD Besides, the real-life version was kinda...surprisingly mundane.
  4. This is incredibly tense. I have to say this ranks in my top five games.
  5. At the same time, I'm concerned about placing this in real history, because politics is kinda verboten around here. If I were to simply replace the Kennedy assassination with a different version, I'd have to rely on the good faith of the players (and the occasional slap on the hand. it'd be kinda a thin line. Also, something else that occurred to me: What would you guys think if I made the assassin one of the players?: W:
  6. Ah, I'm glad to see a positive response. First question: Should I stick with the 1960s period or change it up?
  7. Since I kinda got ignored in favor of Dragon Age, I'm going to ask again: Would anyone be interested in a Warren Commission RPG?
  8. I want to say that playing the Siren was awesome and a lot of fun. By all means make our PM public. I'd have kept rhyming (and in fact my intention was to rhyme in public after I was revealed) but since I've been writing poetry for a CW class lately I'm all rhymed out.
  9. How was Taka confirmed to be villager, btw? (If this ends with the Serial Killer winning, this will be a historic game. Never before has the SK ever won.)
  10. I don't remember such a thing existing, no.
  11. I'd like to get a thorough explanation from every living player as to why they're not the Night Killer. Might help.
  12. It wouldn't surprise me if most of the high-profile players were killed right off the bat because everyone notices them.
  13. Pretty much as expected, a spasmodic rapture of chaos and murder that does precisely nothing to hinder the Mafia. Par for the course for uncoordinated villager actions.
  14. I'm waiting on a reply to my PM to Portal that should help somewhat.
  15. Yes, they're toned down, and for that I would like to take a moment to appreciate Nuju for his efforts in bringing the BZPRPG out of the cesspit that it was and cleaning it off and fixing it up.
  16. I remember them quite well. I do not miss them.
  17. Oh, I didn't realize this was going to be an actual RPG on BZP. If that's the case, I'd play. I actually popped in here to posit my own question: I've been doing a project on JFK's assassination, and it got me to thinking: would anyone be interested in playing what I've nicknamed a "Warren Commission RPG"? Basically, in an ersatz US, not-Kennedy is assassinated in some way (that doesn't resemble the original, to prevent metagaming) and the PCs have to investigate it to find out what happened. Setting, characters, etc are all flexible at this point. The general idea is that the players investigate an assassination of a major political figure in that world. Real world politics would be strictly banned.
  18. It was obvious that the Lorax was the Detective, I'm just disappointed the Medic didn't do their job from the start. Additionally, I'd like to publicly thank Blade for preventing you from targeting me last night.
  19. That was probably the most blatant attempt at framing someone I've ever seen.
  20. On the one hand, yes, they're OP. On the other hand, the staff selected the people they felt wouldn't abuse that power. So there's that.
  21. Congratulations, you just described at least half of our players.
