  1. Most of my buddies from my college days (Lake Michigan College) transferred up to Western, and I find myself in the area a couple times a year to visit family and friends. Actually met a BZPer that way back in 2010, as he routinely attended a history seminar every summer for several years. I don't know if Kalamazoo is home for you or not, but I recommend trying the breakfast food at this little restaurant called Crows Nest. Amazing breakfast food all day long. Best of luck next fall! :)

  2. I have about a dozen epics under my belt, and I'll admit that two were never finished. One was a side story to a main epic that I wasn't interested in seeing through, and the other was the fifth in a series that I was just tired of continuing. I've seen criticism kill a lot of work though, and I couldn't agree more with this blog post. We need a way to pin this as a topic at the top of the epics forum... :P

  3. Why are boys weird? Heh, if I had a dollar for every time I heard a girl ask that one, I could probably go out and buy myself a nice laptop. But really, the answer just kinda stems from a lot of different chemical hormone stuff going on in the cranial area and stuff like that. Not to mention the maturity levels between boys and girls obviously differs. Guys and gals are in their element doing/talking/acting different from each other, it's just one of those things.

Then again, I've known a number of boys and girls in my time who were just plain weird no matter how you tilt the spectrum, and there's an answer to that too. Some guys/girls are just weird.

    Well, there's my brief sociology/psychology lesson. =)

  4. Don't complain about becoming an insomniac, Takatu. They get to rule the night with a half awake gaze! In terms of suggestions...um...a couple of Tylenol before bed should help you out, unless you've already tried that. Either way, I wish you the best of luck recovering! :)

  5. Yep, the Board is back up and the staff was nice enough to let all you non-Premier BZPers continue Blogging for a couple more days. I think its the least they can do.

The part about staying up till 5 AM playing online games...wow. That's quite a while to play, and really late too. Still, we all have our hobbies and you have one that challenges your mind, which is always good. The part about reading Naruto manga doesn't challenge your brain power in the same sense, but I've never discouraged reading either.

As for moving on to High School, the homework load isn't that bad in my experience. There's more than there is in Junior High, but that comes as a given. Teachers don't expect the highest possible standard out of nineth graders, considering they're being tossed into an entirely new system. Nevertheless, that shouldn't deter you from striving to achieve your full potential. I doubt most of us will be on BZP as much when the school year starts, but that's just another inevitable factor of life. Stay postive though, and I'm sure you'll enjoy your new grade. ^_^

  6. Nothing beats boredom like nothing? Hmm...that's either really deep, or really confusing. Nice poster though, you're pretty modest about your work, because it's better than what many of my own friends have attempted. (Outside BZP, that is)

As for the abstract art, there really is no other word for it aside from "abstract". If you say your writing skills are better than your drawing ones, I'll take your word for it considering I have yet to read any of your works. I'll put it on my mental "To Do" list.

I've never been one to excell in romantic writing myself, perhaps its because I'm a guy. Some number of months ago, I wrote a short story on BZP with a romance theme, and I was surprised how well it faired. Hope your works (artistic, written, or otherwise) go well, and I bid adieu to you as well. :)

  7. Quite a fan of putting things off, huh? Don't feel bad, you're among thousands of others. I'm not sure it's the best way to get anything done, but "eventually" will always be there tomorrow. :P That aside, enjoy your new Bible...and your Kakashi pictures. (That guy should really do something about his extreme case of bed head, don't you think? )

I know...but it's the people who sometimes depend on me that causes the downpour. T_T

    'Bed head'? Do you mean the fact that he collapses unconscious a lot when he uses his Sharingan a lot (not that I can blame him; stuff happens, you know?) ^^;

I suppose they depend on you with good reason, partly because you're probably pretty good about being dependent. At least, that's what I'd assume.

As for the "bed head" thing, I meant Kakashi's hair is all spiked out and crazy as if he had just woken up. Not to say he's the only anime guy like that, it's just funny to me...somehow. ^_^

  9. No longer a spirit of gravity, eh Lewa? That's too bad, but I hope you enjoy the next 90 days you're locked in as a Toa of air and not Hakky-Sack, Hakky-Poo, Hak-Nuva Spirit of Gravity, or the one I may regret mentioning, Epic Toa Nuva of Gravity. :D

  10. I can fully agree with you on how much I want to play Halo 3 and Gears of War. I've seen enough of the past two Halo games to know this one will undoubtedly meet the standard, and every one of my friends with an XBox 360 couldn't stop talking about Gears after it came out. You also mentioned you like Zelda games. Did you play Twilight Princess?

  11. Well, I'm starting to comprehend how much of a Naruto fan you are. Particularly with that fact that you said you wrote a fanfic. I mean, the writers here on BZP must really enjoy Bionicle to write their stories too. And the AMV idea sounds interesting as well. I've never really dabbled with anything like that, but I've seen a few. Before I start rambling here though, I'd just like to say that it was no trouble at all reading your entry today. I've sat through profile descriptions that are much longer, but admittedly, many start to get a little bland after a while. Enjoy your music player. :)

  12. I wouldn't be surprised if the board went down again. It's very likely there are still some undetected errors with the upgrade that the admins will have to deal with. If they keep this up for another week or so, we can all remember July '07 under the title "Dark Upgrade". And if someone gets really creative, they can make one of those BZP related epics or short stories telling how the staff attempted to destroy the menace of IPB-V 2.2! :P Strange yes, but I recall a tale about the girl's club by a certain daydreaming BZPer... :D

  13. After cleaning out what used to be a "Buddies" folder (The upgrade messed it up), I noticed that both you and Hak started up Blogs for the week. Anyway, you seemed a little uneasy about moving on to High School, so I figured I'd give my incentive on the matter. After all, half the fun of a Blog is the replies, right? :)

1.) High School is different. You can hate it, or embrace it. Things are going to be harder, but as long as you've got your friends in class, it's not that bad. Personally, I've enjoyed both 9th and 10th grade. As for 11th, it's not that I'm dreading the grade, but rather the advent of its beginning.

2.) SATs are in High School, but I think they're in 12th grade.

Enjoy your personality quizzes, and um...swings. If you're ever swinging though, resist the urge to tilt your head backward as you reach the apex of the forward swing. (It'll make you really dizzy  )
