  1. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"It's no problem," Yasurek replied. "Now then," he said once again to Lohkar, "What's our next move Captain Lohkar Sir? Do you need us to do anything for your secret diabolical plans?"
  2. It's no problem. If life is keeping you busy, that's fine.On one hand, I'm kind of enjoying being known for having a character that everybody knows as the character that nobody remembers.
  3. Yasurek was never supposed to end up being victimized by the world as much as he is. It's just that every time I had him do anything, someone would intentionally or not make whatever he did or said pointless or harmful. He did succeed in finding a banana for the monkey recently, but nobody on the Infernavika has posted.
  4. I imagine a confrontation between Yasurek and Heuani would end up being:Yasurek: So you're going to kill me? Doesn't really matter.Heuani: *charisma* *charisma* *charisma* *prepares to strike*Universe: No. He's our chew toy. Get your own.Heuani: Oh fine. *leaves charismatically*Yasurek: *Is legend in his own right*
  5. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:Yasurek popped his head out of the crate he was rummaging through with a banana in hand. "Here ya go, ya rascal," he said, tossing the banana to the3 caged Raknar who began to gobble it up. "Now then," he began, turning to Lohkar, "What's next on our to-do list, Captain Lohkar Sir?"
  6. IC Kadaka Fo:It was just another day of work for Kadaka. Enjoyable work, but work nonetheless. He supposed it was better than most people's ordinary work. After all, their work didn't entail hiding on the ocean floor waiting for goods to sell, and by goods he meant fish. I don't even know how people can stand fishing without Kaukaus, he thought to himself. They probably have to use nets and get really lucky. Down here, you get to be a part of the natural food chain. Except you have a harpoon and plasma and the fish don't.Right after he thought this, a change in the currents off to his side indicated an approaching being. He crouched down and grabbed hold of a rock on the ocean floor with one hand while his other hand drew his harpoon. He kept his shield under his coat, allowing the currents to push the coat around, making it look like stray seaweed. The visor of his mask dimmed the glow of his dark green eyes. The trap was set.A few seconds later, a ruki fish appeared. It flitted about looking for food, unaware of the hunter's eyes following it. The fish drifted closer, looking for any morsel to consume. As soon as it was above Kadaka, its fate was sealed. *** Kadaka climbed onto his sailboat, happy to see that it had once again stayed where he had left it. Investing in that acre had turned out to be a very good idea. He chucked the fish he was carrying on his shoulder onto the large pile of fish he had caught. It had been a productive session. He turned the ship towards the koro and caught a good breeze that got him back quickly.Sailing up to the ruins of the docks, he anchored the vessel at one of the remaining stable ports and dropped anchor. Reconstruction was progressing but it would still take a bit of time before the docks were working perfectly again. He grabbed his fish and made his way to the shop. He dropped the fish into the ice chest to keep them fresh and went into his room. Making a note in the stores records of how many fish he had returned with, he was ready to begin the second part of work. Going outside, he flipped the sign next to the door from "closed" to "open" and went back in and took a seat behind the counter. Above the open/closed sign there was a larger sign that read: Fo's Fish Supplies "We sell fish" OOC: Kadaka Fo open for interaction at his fish shop.
  7. Hilariously enough, I have Pisces written up and posted in my profile post and have had him there for a month or so, but I haven't gotten around to starting him up. At the moment I'm being distracted by college. I'll have him up soon enough though. As for getting him to meet up with the rest of the zodiac, I have no idea how I'll go about doing that.
  8. IC Yasurek-Infernavika hold:"Considering the amount of random materials we seem to have, including all the concealed explosives, I don't think it's too far-fetched to assume that there's some fruit somewhere in the food supplies," he replied, beginning to rummage in one of the storage crates labeled "Food". "Can you check those food crates over there?" he asked, gesturing to another pile of food crates on the other side of the hold.
  9. IC Yasurek:Yasurek overheard Mimira and Lasinia talking about needing fruit or something and walked over to them. "I'm pretty sure we have some fruit in the supplies," he said to them before heading below decks to look.OOC: Welcome back Jl. While you were gone Nuju posted some guidelines for the mahiki, which includes the rule that you can't use a mahiki to fly by shape-shifting. Just for future reference.
  10. Soon, there will be productivity. I can feel it approaching me, and I will be there to greet it. Pisces is coming. But first, sleep.

  11. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"With all due respect Captain Lohkar sir," Yasurek responded, "Your plans, while very brilliant in their ability to get the improbable and flat out impossible done with great efficiency, generally involve the rest of us not knowing what to do and thus causing us to, as a collective, wander about aimlessly like gukkos with their heads chopped off while you play chess with our wayward bodies. And it works often, I will admit. But, to be frank, being a metaphorical inanimate object to be used as a tool sucks."He glanced at Tellus as he appeared on decks. "Tellus! It's good to have more familiar faces around," he greeted the toa of plantlife.
  12. IC Yasurek- with Lohkar and Gunner:Yasurek stared at Lohkar for a second. After a pause to collect himself, he replied, "Lohkar... That's not a good plan. That's not even a feasible plan. That plan, is fundamentally insane. You're asking us to capture a powerful psychopath, transport him against his will to Ga-koro, turn him in without a massive fight breaking out, then, after he's sworn revenge on us, break him out, thus angering the marines, that as a whole already dislike our crew a fair bit. Except me, because they don't know me. But still. What exactly do we get out of letting him loose anyway? It's not like he's gonna pay us or anything, and it sure isn't the moral thing to do, so why?"
  13. OOC: Yasurek, Ghosthands. Gunner and Yasurek. Please don't forget him as much as the characters already do in-game IC Yasurek- with Lohkar and Gunner:"As much as I'd love to believe your winking," Yasurek replied, crossing his arms, "I'd feel more self assured if you'd actually give us details. At the very least give us an end goal or a basic step-by-step plan. Something. ANYTHING."
  14. IC Yasurek- top of building:Yasurek watched Dorian slip away with his vortixx companion. It seemed there wasn't going to be a fight happening, at least between him and the crew, so Yasurek decided it was time to see what was going on. Slipping over the side of the roof he was on, he grabbed hold of handholds in the side of the wall, controlling his fall to keep at a manageable speed. He was soon on the ground and made his way quickly over to Gunner and Lohkar, catching the tail end of Gunner's comment."I have to say I agree with Gunner on whatever point he's making Captain Lohkar Sir," he said to the pair as he walked up. "If a plan of yours has any similarity to the one that lead to us all almost falling into a lake of lava, I'm rather afraid to take part in it."OOC: So, 500 posts for me. Yay.
  15. IC Yasurek- Xa-koro:Yasurek was having quite a bit of fun, which was a new experience, or at least one that he hadn't felt in a very long time. He just sort of loved running and jumping and being as athletic as he could while moving. His being on the rooftops of the village lent him a good deal of privacy and stealth which meant that he didn't have to deal with odd glances or rude comments or anything of that sort. After all, most people really didn't think to look up. He had learned quite quickly in his guard days that whenever you were looking for an enemy, one of the most important places to look was the ceiling or, if a ceiling was not available, the sky. Most people had to learn that lesson the hard way.As he traversed the village he noticed an odd shift in one of the areas he moved through. It seemed like the village had experienced a very large fire somewhat recently, one that had just sat around burning things without any attempt to stop it. He quickly turned away from that area and moved on. Jumping from rooftop to rooftop in an area that had recently been on fire was never a good plan.Eventually though, Yasurek started to make his way back to the ship, if only to check in and see if any of the crew needed his help with anything. Or at least wanted his help. Or would accept his help. Regardless, he soon arrived on a rooftop near the Infernavika, taking some time to plan out his descent. It was then that he noticed Lohkar making his way in a particular direction. Attempting to identify Lohkar's destination revealed Dorian walking by. Yasurek's eyes narrowed as he tried to pick out all the details he could from the crowds in the area around them. A vortixx behind Dorian seemed to stand out, but Yasurek had no way of confirming anything. A cloaked figure that might was almost certainly Gunner. All of these details meant that either a very tense conversation was about to happen, or a fight, and Yasurek definitely wasn't looking forward to a fight. Fortunately, he had a good position on the roof to keep an eye on the events while remaining relatively hidden. He crouched down and backed away from the edge of the roof to conceal himself as much as possible, Just in case Dorian happened to look up and wasn't distracted by Lohkar approaching. He also scanned the rest of the crowd as nonchalantly as he could to avoid making the target of his observations obvious. Although Yasurek was pretty sure Dorian wouldn't even recognize Yasurek if he did see him since they had never really met, Yasurek had only seen him from a distance, and the time Dorian visited the Infernavika he never saw Yasurek. Also Yasurek wasn't really important enough to remember, but you could never be too careful with psychopaths, so Yasurek was going to be as invisible as he could.
  16. IC Yasurek-Xa-koro:As it turned out, despite Yasurek's lack of hobbies and all-around insignificance, he was still enjoying his free time in Xa-koro, if only because being here gave him the chance to move around free of restraints and rules. Part of why he left the Ko-koro guard originally had been the restrictiveness of the position, and he had become a pirate partially for the freedom it would give him. Now he knew that there were plenty of restrictions that came from piracy, but that didn't matter right now. Here in Xa-koro, there weren't any rules. Well, there were rules, at least a few unspoken ones, but they weren't any that Yasurek had a problem with and were mostly about what was socially acceptable. Which was fine. This chance to go for a walk also was a nice chance to stretch his legs. He had always scoffed at the notion of Ko-matoran as quiet restrained scholarly types who didn't get out much. There was of course some truth in the harshness of the population, but Ko-matoran could be surprisingly agile, as Yasurek himself porved. Back in the day he had been one of the more athletic guards, taking it upon himself to chase down criminals and apprehend them. He wasn't ever going to get to the level of catching kakama-wearing criminal toa, of course, but decent speed, a knowledge of the routes through the village, and the skill to run and balance on ice could be combined to catch up with a surprisingly large number of people. He wondered if he still had those skills.Deciding to test his agility, he made his way to an empty alley. Checking around or any onlookers, he glanced up and planned his route, taking note of the various ledges and handholds built into the walls of the two-story buildings he was standing between. One more deep breath to focus himself, and he began. As ice had deep connections to water, so too did Yasureks movements, while sharp and precise, have a grace and fluidity to them. The ability to climb walls is not a particularly hard trait to learn- all one needs is brute strength and a solid grip, with maybe some basic understanding of physics. But to climb so freely, to leap between walls and ascend like Yasurek did, that took practice, with maybe a bit of talent. And the number of unnecesarry flips he did while doing so took a bit of flair and a decent enough sense of style. Yasurek believed that if one was going to be all agile and such and go about engaging in grand chases, you should try to put some flair into your movements, if only to keep your mind awake and sharp. Doing something repetetive, especially when it's one of your primary jobs, leads to boredom and a wandering mind, and that leads to mistakes. If it prevented a major accident and probable injury from a bad jump or something, Yasurek was willing to take a few more seconds to catch a criminal.Landing on the edge of the roof of one of the buildings, Yasurek surveyed the village from his new vantage point. It wasn't a sight to be cherished, but it was still always nice to look upon the skyline of a settlement. Upon closer inspection, it seemed that things were a bit more damage had occured since Yasurek had last been there, almost as if a large fire had been allowed to burn for a while. Odd, but in a town like Xa-koro, things just sort of happened. He took a glance down over the side of the building, measuring the distance he had traveled. No vertigo came over him, which was a welcome relief. The last thing he need is a fear of heights to contend with. He already had his self-esteem and the rest of the universe working against him. Speaking of which...So, I see you still don't have any friends, thought his self-esteem.I don't know what you're talking about. I actually do have friends at the moment, he replied to himself. You mean your fellow pirates? And which of those are your friends again?Well, there's Lohkar. He's a friend. Doesn't seem mad about the mutiny or anything. That's probably because it was a very stealthy mutiny, but still. You know he's always going to have an agenda, and he'll sell you out or betray you if there's enough in it for him.No, he's loyal to his crew. The crew that he trusts, anyway. And he trusts me. I haven't done anything to betray his trust. You haven't done anything at all. That's beside the point. There's also Gunner. He's a friend.Since when was he a friend? He was very happy when I returned to the Infernavika. I'm still not quite sure why, but he was.Because you're sane. That's the only reason. For a sane person I'm talking to myself quite a bit.I'm seperate enough. I continue to survive despite your best efforts to kill me.That's not my fault. It's the world that has it in for us.And thus you have no friends. What about Lasinia? We're going to eventually take over the world together.... Seriously?... Shut up. It could happen. We both know the plan won't work, as Mr. Grochi the Downer explained. He's not a friend. But Lasinia's still a friend. She's with Mimira now. She's much too occupied to be your friend or acknowledge you. You're just not significant enough. That could change. Already people are starting to remember me more and more. But you're still not known. Not respected. Maybe pittied, but that won't last. As long as I'm around and you don't like yourself, nobody will like you and you'll remain obscure.I WILL be rid of you one day.You can't escape me; I'm a part of you."THEN BEGONE!" Yasurek shouted at himself. He glanced around akwardly to check that there was nobody on the rooftops around him before continuing to converse with himself in his head. You really are messed up. Do you have any other "friends" that you'd care to mention? There's Perkahn. He's an ally. He said I was a legend in my own right.......*snicker*Ah ha ha ha ha!I'm sorry , I can't think that with a mental straight face.I thought as much. I'm amazed you could keep an actual straight face when he said it. My compliments to you on pulling that off.Thanks. They are my friends tohugh, despite your arguing to the contrary.Do you even remember how you got separated from the Infernavika in Ta-koro after the mutiny? They forgot about you and left. That included your "friend" Gunner. They probably thought I was below-decks. People take very long naps down there only to pop up several weeks later. They didn't check. They could have. After all, you were one of the only people to leave Xa-koro with the ship. You, a member with as much experience on the ship as everyone else for the most part. And they left you. Because you didn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Just like now.You don't know anything about the grand scheme of things. I know that because I don't know the grand scheme of things either, other than the fact that the last several months have contained events where factors outside of our control intervened in order to render our efforts pointless. It's probably just a series of flukes. Most of the issues for us were probably only caused by unintended consequences. The temple of wisdom? They were only targetting me because I had the blood kanohi. For two seconds.Temple of purity? Not my fault nothing happened.Getting left behind?Perfectly ordinary mistake.Ship battle in Po-wahi?I wasn't fully informed of the situation and once the information came to light I didn't need to board the other vessel.Plot to take over the world?Grochi's mean.Plan to stop Dorian? He made a hole in the ship.I'd like to know what Perkahn thinks of you now since you went with Lohkar instead of staying and helping him. Wasn't it "going to be nice to do some good for a change"?He understands. Gunner informed him of the situation. We'll see if that's the case if we see him again.Until then you'll just have to go and be a "legend in your own right".That's it, I'm out. And so he did as he thought, jumping to the next building over and beginning a trek across the rooftops.I'm still in your head, you know, Yasurek's self-esteemed corectly pointed out, but Yasurek's mind was too far away to listen, nor did he really care. He was having too much fun jumping over rooftops, and he wasn't going to let an annoyingly vocal part of his mind ruin it. It was his free time after all, it should be fun for him.
  17. IC Yasurek-next to Infernavika:As Lohkar walked away upon dismissing the crew, Yasurek had made a personal discovery: he didn't really have any hobbies. In fact, he really didn't do anything of interest outside of whatever he did with the crew, and even then he didn't do much in the way of interesting things. Mata Nui I'm boring, thought Yasurek's self confidence. It was very interesting that Yasurek's self confidence actually remained in existence despite every single that had happened to him for the past several moths. In fact, the more it shrank away the louder and more annoying it had become. He'd deal with that later. For now, it was time for some sort of fun. Since he had nowhere to start, he decided to go for a walk. Pulling up the hood of his blue cloak, he vanished into the crowds, on a quest to find something to do.
  18. IC Yasurek-Infernavika:Yasurek hopped over the side of the ship down onto the dock to join the rest of the crew. "Might I advise we start by finding someone to repair the nice big hole in the side of the ship?" he suggested.
  19. IC Yasurek-Infernavika:Yasurek watched as Lohkar returned from below decks. From the sounds coming from below there was a struggle going on. "Captain Lohkar sir, if I may be so bold," he began, "Did any of you happen to take our captive's mask off so she wouldn't be able to use her lightning powers effectively? Not to be rude, but you'd think taking their mask would be standard procedure for toa prisoners."
  20. I should really get my three existing toa characters back up and running someday. But I have nothing for them to do or place for them to go. Hmm. I need to get my zodiac character started too. Well, now that I have those two things on my bzprpg to do list I can resume procrastinating on them. Away I go!

  21. IC Yasurek-Infernavika:"The fact that we succeeded this easily surprises me, yes," Yasurek agreed. "We don't really seem to accomplish things without something going wrong. Now, if I recall corectly, these mark bearers become super powerful when someone nearby feels a specific emotion for each bearer. Did any of you happen happen to catch our new guest's emotion so we don't end up accidently making her escape incredibly easy? And if she doesn't or can't lead us to this Dorian guy, what are we going to do with her?"
  22. IC Yasurek-Infernavika:"I'm right here," Yasurek said, climbing onto the ship. "It would have been nice to get a heads up or some sort of explanation for you guys running off with a box, but I'm used to it by now. Since you were all so keen on leaving with the crate, I take it that we actually succeeded in accomplishing something productive? A change of pace from our usual, I know, but always something to hope for."
  23. IC Yasurek-with Infernavika crew:"And I'll be out here too," Yasurek chimed in, "Ready to give you guys back up." And to make sure Lasinia and Mimira don't get into trouble, he thought to himself. "Just try to be nice. No point in causing trouble if it can be avoided," he added aloud. He caught Arzanyos' spear and placed it into his back sheathe.
  24. IC Yasurek- with Infernavika crew at docks:Yasurek shuffled about nervously a bit, the sizable collection of spears stored in the container on his back clanking against each other. "I will guard the back while you are talking to the lady so as not to arouse suspicion," he decided. "Because I have no idea where to put all these spears."
  25. IC Yasurek- Beach:Yasurek watched Lohkar soar off to the ship with annoyance and a tinge of envy. He turned to the rest of the crew on the beach. "Alright, since our captain has decided that riding in a dinghy is just not cool enough, the rest of us should get over there now before he ditches us or something. Not that he will since we're his only crew, but you never know with pirates. Let's go people!"
