  1. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:Floria suddenly found a pair of spears pressed to her throat. "It's 'he' but that's not important. My point still stands," said Yasurek, looking perfectly calm in spite of his threatening posture.
  2. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"Frankly, I have to agree with our guest, but probably not for the same reasons," Yasurek added. "If we put her in the brig and take her with us, she'll almost inevitably break out and cause trouble mid-voyage. There's no reason for us to keep her with us, so we should just dump her far enough away that we can leave before she can follow us. Or we keep her tied up in the net and throw her into the drink, which while serving a similar purpose allows her the chance to turn invisible and return."
  3. IC Kadaka- Fo's Fishing Supplies:"Excellent. We have wooden fishing rods for 10 widgets, metal ones for 15, crystal for 20, and slightly better-looking crystal for 21 widgets. As for pirates, they don't really come after fishing boats like mine. Even if they did, I can either swim away easily with my kaukau or plasma their ship. Ships tend to have trouble when there's a plasma hole in them."
  4. IC Kadaka- Fo's Fish Supplies:"Of course!" Kadaka replied. "We have fish, fishing gear, fishing poles, bait, oars, harpoons, everything you need except boats. For armored individuals such as yourself, I'd suggest a life jacket so as to not drown. You can never be too careful in a village on the water."
  5. IC Kadaka- Fo's Fish Supplies:"Hello there and welcome to Fo's Fish Supplies; we sell fish. I'm Kadaka Fo and these are fish and fish supplies. What can I get you?" Kadaka energetically responded. It wasn't often that he had vortixx customers.
  6. As for Pisces being leader, I'm not sure I can see my professional fisherman leading a team of heroes. It sounds like fun though.
  7. IC Kadaka- Fo's Fish Supplies:After the chaos of the violent arresting of the pirates earlier in the day, Kadaka had returned to his fish shop. Once again, business was slow, as it had been for the past several weeks. There would be the occasional shopper, but otherwise, it was slow work. In hindsight, he probably shouldn't have opened a fish shop in the village made of lillypads where fishing could be done by walking off the pathways, but he was going to do his best regardless.Later that evening, as the shop was being closed for the night, Kadaka heard the sounds of battle once more. Looking out his window, it seemed the pirates were escaping. There was some sort of violent struggle, but soon enough they had vanished in the direction of Po-koro.Well, that was an event, he thought to himself. I should probably do my part and chase after them to recapture them as my duty as a toa requires. But then the village wouldn't be protected. Except it would, because there's that other plasma toa and the toa arete to protect the village. On the other hand, they don't have a ship. Except my ship is a fishing boat. But then again, I can use my element to make it go pretty fast. But my ship also has no weapons. But I'm a toa. But I need to run the store. Good point. And so he slept for the evening. When he awoke, he once again greeted the day by opening the fish store, all the while wondering if he could track down the pirates and do some more good for the island. Yet another similar day.OOC: Open for interaction.
  8. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"While this talk of having me kiss a child and being too gross to do that is fun," began a rather annoyed Yasurek, "What are we going to do with our uninvited guest?"
  9. Wait, so there's a break in the field at the gate... like a gap in the donut extending out from the gate, or is it just a small area outside the gate that is fieldless? Also, how would anyone know about this gap in the field? I mean, sure, they know the field is there and that it doesn't affect the interior of the village, but how would any character know about that gap outside?
  10. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"Considering that my recent life up to this point has been a harrowing spiral of the universe actively working against me, I'll take any positive outcome I can get," Yasurek responded to Floria. "As for your attractiveness, I was just using Lasinia's term for you. If you really want to confirm whether you are hot or not, you can ask her."
  11. IC Yasurek-Infernavika:"Blue Guy apprehended hot invisible girl. Hot invisible girl is now claiming to be a pirate," Yasurek added to Lasinia's explanation. "Also, Lohkar made me midshipman," he added with glee.
  12. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:Midshipman. Me. Heh heh. Ha ha ha. They called me a cabin matoran, even though I have never been nor ever will be a cabin matoran. But now I'm a midshipman. Now I can go to those people who demeaned me and I will show them my greatness. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA-None of these thoughts showed on Yasurek's face. Instead, he simply replied, "Thank you very much sir. It's a pleasure to be here," and began to remove the spears over the staircase with well-trained ease.
  13. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"Hello Captain Lohkar Sir," Yasurek greeted Lohkar's sudden arrival, saluting as he did so. "We were just protecting the ship. Great timing on the net, by the way."
  14. OOC: I believe there are gun ports for the cannons on the side, but I don't believe they are open, and I think they open only from the inside anyway. Also, you'd need to slip past the cannons that are directly on the other side, which isn't likely to happen. I could be wrong though, but until someone who knows for sure says something I'd just assume there weren't any windows. Also, considering that there are other people on deck, going around the mast probably wouldn't hide you from everyone's view.IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"A sudden shout drew Yasurek's attention immediately. Fortunately, the intruding toa wasn't attacking him, but merely crashed into the spears before leaping off. In spite of the impact the makeshift cage held, a testament to the spears' sturdiness. Yasurek turned his attention to the mast which the once again invisible toa had vanished around."Excuse me miss," he called out to the now hidden invader (he assumed the toa's gender based on her shout and his brief glimpse of her), "But what exactly are you doing on this ship? While you aren't causing too much trouble at the moment, if you were to actually cause issue you would find that this ship is occupied by a good number of trained fighters, all of whom would likely be more than enough to apprehend you. I must therefore ask at this point what you purpose is boarding this ship. If you are on this ship to steal something, might I instead suggest you take your thievery over to The Southern Charm, the ship next to us. I think you'll find it much easier to enter due to a much smaller amount of crew guarding it, along with the loot being much more valuable as you can tell by that ship's newness. If you have any other reason for being here, please let us know so we can determine whether or not to launch vast amounts of projectiles and sharp objects at you."
  15. OOC: I suppose the jumping hug makes sense, though how Floria could dive that low is a bit odd, but irrelevant. As for focus and all that, being drunk impairs the brain. If she has increased tolerance or is just used to it, fine, but it's still impairing her. If she's drunk enough that she decides to try to troll a pirate ship for fun, it's going to affect the rest of her brain function, namely focus. It's not that she's losing control over her bodily functions, but more that maintaining focus on a mask while directly manipulating her element, namely, with enough force to keep her aloft and earlier to generate creaking sounds on floorboards, takes focus that being drunk really shouldn't allow so flawlessly, regardless of any prior experience being under the influence. From your posts we can tell that she's pretty drunk, so her ability to focus shouldn't be too good is all.As for the spears, they are arranged in a circular pattern with the shafts bending inwards at the top to create a cage from the sides and top. The spears are imbedded with the deck such that an individual can either remove them with a decent exertion of force with both hands (which would very clearly draw attention even before the spear had been removed from the deck) or by using an intimate knowledge of the specific spears used to remove them with minimal force. If Floria tries to move those spears, she's going to be caught before she can remove them. But yes, you can try. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:Yasurek's search had turned up nothing so far, but he was still uneasy. The intruder was still here somewhere, and keeping them either on the deck or off the ship entirely was the top priority. "Hey Lasinia, could you please help me search for our mysterious intruder?" he asked the toa, expanding his circular search pattern while still keeping a close eye on the staircase's cage.
  16. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:Invisible intruder. Probably toa, based on use of mask power and elemental powers to cause distractions. Most likely goal: cause trouble. Because that's all anyone on the ship does. Goal for self: prevent entry to ship. No idea of target's location, but I should still prevent them from entering the ship, as a first step. Process to do that: Block stairs. Too far away to get to physically before target has chance to escape. Solution: throw spears at the spears to block entry.Such were Yasurek's thoughts as he threw a collection of spears down from the crow's nest, creating an effective barred cage of spears around the stairway below deck. He followed right after, sliding down the mast to a smooth landing, rolling onto his feet next to his newly created barrier."Nobody be alarmed, I was just blocking the stairs," he announced to anybody confused by his well-thought-out plan. Now, to find the target. He drew two more spears and began to circle them around the immediate area in wide arcs, hoping to locate the mysterious invader.OOC: A couple queries, if I may: How exactly did Floria dive under Lasinia when they were both on solid deck? Also, how is a drunk individual managing to sustain complete invisibility while having used several prolonged vacuums, flight, and gusts of wind in short succession, along with sudden intense movement? How in the world is Floria able to do all this when she's not even thinking with much clarity?
  17. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:Yasurek started to poke at the rope when a sudden gust of wind flew over him, one that definitely felt like something solid moving by. Following the expected trajectory, he found himself looking at the deck, where there was a creak from the wooden floorboards, because regardless of whatever vacuum was on an intruders feet, the deck of the Infernavika was still creaky wood.It seems we might have an unexpected guest on board, Yasurek thought to himself. An invisible one at that."Oi, people on the deck," he called down. "It is entirely possible that we have an invisible guest down there. Be wary and all that."
  18. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:Yasurek was awakened from his nap up in the crow's nest by a sudden jolt from one of the ropes being shaken by a large change in weight. He glanced over the side, but couldn't see anything. However, one of the ropes was hanging oddly out of position. Feeling rather lazy at that point, he pulled out a spear and began to poke at the rope, trying to fiddle it back into place.
  19. IC Yasurek: Infernavika:Yasurek had retired to the crows nest after the attempt to actually get some answers out of Lohkar. He had been napping when he heard Lohkar's voice down from the deck below. Something about abandoning the Dorian plan and doing some actual pirating. Big whoop. Wait. Actual pirating? No more chasing pointlessly after random psychopaths for a nonexistent reward?I smiled to myself and looked down to the deck to express my happiness. Before I could say anything, another ship pulled up next to the Infernavika. It was like the Infernavika, except it had none of the charm. It did have computing pads from Onu-koro. Not sure how that happened or what they were supposed to do, but maybe the captain somehow thought he could pull up with a ship and assume it to be better than the 'Vika in every way. How wrong they were. Yasurek took a look at the captain, just to confirm his suspicions of his nature, only to find his former captain at the helm. Raknar, he thought. Are we seriously going to have a pointless ship battle in the middle of the dock area for Xa-koro? Seriously? Maybe we'll just have a nice chat. Maybe he'll leave us alone. You seem upset. I'm detecting loathing. That's good. It's not self loathing, it's Raknar loathing. There's a distinct and profound difference.Well that doesn't help me at all.Exactly. Now go away. That skadi thinks he can just come out of the blue with a new ship and act like just entering is enough to make somebody awesome. IT'S NOT THAT EASY! You have to work to be awesome! You have to do things! You probably stole that ship anyway! I hope it sinks from our cannons, you forgetful, lazy, hateful individual with little to no redeeming traits who acts like he's all that despite no evidence to back it up.Fortunately, Yasurek was a Ko-matoran, and thus had no problem concealing his mental rage behind a neutral face.
  20. IC Kadaka Fo- Docks:Kadaka had been working on the docks when the other toa came. They had arrived suddenly, with little warning, but their intent was clear. They had immediately began fixing the docks, in a much neater fashion than what Kadaka had been doing. Soon enough, they had completed their work to a growing crowd of matorans' glee. The docks looked quite magnificent, and Kadaka was happy that the matoran were happy. He even recieved a few "thank yous" from some of the matoran who had already been at the docks for the bit of help he had done, which was not necessary, but still appreciated. These new toa seemed reasonably nice, since they had gone out of their way to help out. That was good. There was a lack of good toa in the world anymore. Kadaka considered himself a good toa, but he was still just a fisherman. His musing's were interrupted by the sounds of Marka, the local shipwright, calling for help. It seemed a boat had been stolen. Kadaka followed the source of the cries, noting that this other team of helpful toa were also moving the same direction. Kadaka arrived after a crowd of matoran had already gathered and watched as one of the good toa walked out on the water to attempt to reason with the pirates that had caused the trouble. The negotiations didn't seem to be going well, however, and the cannons of the ship were still pointed at the matoran. Suddenly, the toa of water lost his concentration and fell into the water. Kadaka hoped he was okay. Without the water toa to negotiate, the cannons were an active threat, and Kadaka prepared to protect as many of the matoran as he could by heading around the crowd to get near the front, drawing his shield as he did so. Whoever these helpful toa were, they might need some help keeping the matoran save from collateral damage, and Kadaka was willing to do his part.
  21. Are the Ancora going to actually be something other than a good counterpart to the daedra this time? Because I definitely remember that being an issue during the first reboot.
  22. And so nobody begins their futile quest to be cooler than Yasurek. Because they've already succeeded.
  23. IC Kadaka:Buisiness was slow. As could only be expected. People were busy being worried about things. But Kadaka didn't mind. There would be time for selling fish later. As he locked up the shop, he put up a sign that said, "Off doing things. Still in town, shouldn't be too hard to find me." With the sign set, he began to wander the village. There was talk of mark bearers, whatever they were, and how they were really evil, talk of the docks being destroyed, overall chaos abounding, the usual. Except no, that wasn't the usual chatter. Speaking of the docks, Kadaka thought to himself, I really should make sure my boat's still there. He walked down to the docks, where some Ga-matoran were milling about constructing repairs. They didn't look very happy, but then, the docks were broken. At least his boat was still there, tied down to one of the still intact pieces of the docks. He took another glance at the workers. Some of the dock pieces were laying on the ground near where they were going to be attached. The wheels in his head began to whir. A few seconds later, an idea was formed, and a ball of plasma appeared over Kadaka's head to signify it. He would try to help fix the docks as best he could. He began by taking one of the pieces of the docks and welding it with his powers back into place. It wasn't a clean and refined fix, but the piece was stable, and that was fine with Kadaka. He just wanted to help.OOC: Advance apologies to all the daedra players for going to help fix the docks. In my defense, I really was going to do that before I read that you guys were going to go do that, and I haven't fixed it completely, so you're still free to convince the masses that you're good guys by fixing the docks. Yup.
