  1. Congratulations on outside life success. While that does hamper my odd goal of eventually being interviewed, I'm fine with it.
  2. IC Yasurek- Po-wahi:"Considering that our shore party consists of a 50-50 gender ratio, it might be best to not address us by a gender specific group name Captain Lohkar sir," Yasurek added. "Despite being a lad myself, I feel we can at least have some fairness in our word choices."
  3. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:Yasurek leapt over the side of the ship onto the ledge. He was wearing his usual cloak, sheathed spears in their usual places. He also had a bit of rope with him, just in case. Holding up his lightstone to illuminate the immediate area, he surveyed the landscape."How far out do you think we are from Po-Koro?" he wondered.
  4. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"Will our shore excursion also include dropping off excess cargo?" Yasurek asked, making a subtle gesture towards Floria. He glanced at the various blackjack hands. Once again, I do a lot of work and somebody else comes in and easily renders it useless, he thought to himself. Glad to see you're still treating me the same as usual, universe.
  5. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"I wasn't actually aboard the ship at the time, so not me," Yasurek said, revealing a 2 of clubs, 3 of diamonds, 4 of spades, 5 of hearts, and a 3 of spades. "Regardless, I don't actually have a criminal record yet, so I'm not really wanted anywhere for anything."
  6. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"I hear you kidnapped the turaga too," Yasurek added.
  7. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"We're going to Po for the same reason we do anything- namely, that there's no reason at all. Frankly I think we have even less than usual reason not to go to Po-koro, but whatever. I'm not actually wanted there, so I don't have as much risk as most of the crew. Hit me" He picked up the card, frowning a bit upon receiving it. "Hit me again." Another frown. "One more ought to do it." He took the new card and seemed annoyed, but content enough with his cards.
  8. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"You mean Po-koro, the place where, from what I hear, Raknar lead the crew to kidnap Turaga Onewa from?" Yasurek commented, picking up his now dealt cards. "Captain Lohkar sir, may I ask if your plans ever actually involve us not going to places where people want to capture or kill most of the crew?"
  9. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"Hey now," Yasurek said, a bit annoyed that Lasinia hadn't dealt him in too. "I'm here too you know."
  10. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"Let's get this blackjack game going," Yasurek said. "Does anyone actually have cards to play with?"
  11. +Yasurek for the pirates side. Because he doesn't fit into any of the above categories. :PAfter all, he's a legend in his own right.
  12. Those are some great points, Kakaru. However, I'm afraid that I'm already too old and jaded to advance to such a level of brilliance like that. I had bad experiences with the combat here, so I've basically given up on doing pvp stuff. That being said, I'll probably try it again some day. Maybe I'll manage to write Yasurek succeeding at something without divine intervention screwing it up. Maybe I'll be able to lift my personal rule banning myself from ever interacting with magnetism and iron toa. Those are my hopes anyway.
  13. A newbie is only a newbie if they think of themselves as a newbie. Once you reach a certain point in your rping career, you realize that you aren't a rookie learning the ropes anymore, and that you've earned at least some respect among your fellow players. It's probably mostly a mental thing. The barrier has never been very well-defined.I mean, look at me. I've been here since the last reboot, I'm nowhere close to a new member, but I'm not well known or anything, so I consider myself to be a resident of the limbo between being a newbie and being an actual experienced member of the rpg.
  14. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"Well, she also said that I'd be more awesome if I was a girl, so until such time as I am you're probably the one she's most likely to have a thing for," Yasurek responded, a hint of amusement in his voice.
  15. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"..." replied Yasurek. He was a ko-matoran. They were naturally skilled at being silent for long periods. Not that being good at being silent was useful ever, but it was something. At the moment though, there was nothing for anyone on the Infernavika to do. Floria couldn't escape, the ship couldn't leave Xa-koro, and productivity would never be seen again unless somebody else did something.
  16. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"Why not?" Yasurek replied. "You seem to be really confident in your ability to resist our efforts to not be followed by you, so how would telling us cause any issues with your plan? I guess if you don't want to talk we could just all stand around in silence."
  17. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"Very well then," Yasurek said. "How exactly do you plan to follow us if we drop you overboard in a net and sail away at full speed?"
  18. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"Well it's not like you can fly with any speed or precision. For one thing, toa of air can only glide on the wind, and not even that fast, not fly with lots of propulsion or control. You'd need a kadin to freely fly. As it stands, you could fly, but only using not accurate and not particularly powerful wind currents. Two, you'd still need to somehow fly faster than a speeding ship using your elemental powers, which, even if you could fly like that, which you can't, would almost certainly run out or weaken you so much that if you miraculously caught up with the ship you'd be too exhausted to do anything. Also, you'd be doing this for the purpose of stealing a particular man's rum, meaning that you would be locking yourself into a struggle to obtain that which you can't have, rendering any freedom you claim to have an illusion. If you truly want to be free as you say, don't follow us. Not that you could realistically do so even if you chose to, but just don't."
  19. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"As much as I would like to believe that you have moral fiber," Yasurek began, "Your actions really haven't given us any reason to believe that you aren't a malicious individual. As for being a toa, no offense, but I really don't think that listening to a toa such as yourself who sneaks around and tries to steal things from other people would give me the best advice. Now, if Lasinia gave me advice on how to become a toa, I'd listen because Lasinia's awesome. But you? No thanks." He gave Lasinia a hug as he said this and quickly returned to standing where he was previously.
  20. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"One, you'd be in a net underwater, making your threat of taking our wind a moot point, along with the fact that we have Gunner to overpower any of your attempts even if you were in range and able to. Two, it's going to take enough time for you to cut that net that we'd be long gone before you could even start to pursue us, and this ship is really fast. Three, you'd have to somehow follow us, despite our massive head start and better speed, all around and wait for us to run out of a substance that we have an ample supply of, and then board the ship, which would likely result in the situation that lead to you being in a net in the first place repeating itself. You're not really in a position to be saying that we can't stop you," Yasurek responded.
  21. IC Kadaka- Infernavika:"Why do I suddenly feel chills running down my spine?" Yasurek asked.
  22. IC Kadaka- Fo's Fishing Supplies:"Thank you for your patronage," Kadaka said, taking the widgets and handing Siris the fishing rod. "Will that be all, or is there anything else you'd like?" he asked.
  23. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"The problem with keeping her as a minion is that we have no way to make her a loyal one," Yasurek commented. "She'd probably spend most of her time being invisible, being an annoyance, taking the wind out of our sails to annoy us, and consuming the rum. There's not much reason to keep her here, and Tellus is correct in thinking that she wouldn't be able to catch up if we tossed her overboard in a net and sailed away. That being said, throwing her overboard always carries the risk that through some divine intervention she could make a quick and unrealistically quick escape and sneak back aboard to irritate us. Keeping her as a minion though is just not as good of a plan."
  24. OOC: IC Kadaka- Fo's Fishing Supplies:"Excellent," Kadaka said, pulling out a very shiny translucent red crystal fishing rod. It was a very fabulous looking fishing rod. "That'll be 21 widgets. May I ask you what kinds of creatures you intend to fish for? There's so many choices out in the sea."
  25. IC Yasurek- Infernavika:"Reassuring though your comments may be, I'd probably be only as awesome as I currently am if I was in fact a girl," Yasurek replied to the two. Even though you're not currently awesome at all, his self esteem added in his head. "However, regardless of how awesome I would be, the truth is that I'm not a girl."
