Erm, could you tone Pursuit's boost down a little? I don't need it as I figured out FROM this discussion defense is important, but 16 offense, no matter how you slice it, is a bit too punishing. 12 (i.e. a 1.5x boost) still forces players to put two stat points in defense before trying to take it on, without being so over-the-top that even players who have spent defense points are, well, lazor'd.

BTW, since the library review asked about the maps, could I suggest some stuff to help make them less bland?
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «1. Add moss and maybe a few Tallon-Overworld-esque fungal patches to the first cave. It would certainly help with removing the blandness aspect.
2. I'm working on some Vortixx sprites (granted they're going to need a compound event, but hey they work,) to put in Xia. You can quality control them (i.e. edit them) if you want. (Hey, maybe a few Vortixx enemies in Rayg would be good for the Xian Undercity...)
3. Add some birds of prey to Zakaz mountains. No enemies, just a few flying events and occasional hawk/eagle shrieks. You could also make a Bionicle seagull for Cho-Koro if you want.
Just some ideas. I definitely enjoyed this game in beta, and I'm just adding my share of extra tips.

Well, testing's almost done. From what I can tell you, I can say this will be a REALLY good game. Pretty sure I got all the glitches, so the game will be released soon!
Oh, and did I mention this game is awesome?

An interesting strategic tidbit, especially in conjunction with "spammable" fights for in-battle stat boosting.
NOW I see where the balance to Ranger is coming from, though...you lose all ability to take hits but gain infinite damage potential...
BTW, what happens if HP gets boosted in the middle of a fight?
And are there any objective functions of stats besides those? Would 6 defense produce a stronger defense than 5 defense against an offense of 8?

But wait! YOU FORGOT TO UNDERLINE YOUR OWN ARGUMENTS!
THEREFORE YOUR ARGUMENT FOR UNDERLINES IS FLAWED AND KAL'S ARGUMENT IS STILL VALID!

Oh yes.
Meowth, that's right!

That list hadn't been updated in ages.

The Rahkshi's finishers basically turn them into a chance fest for anybody who doesn't have 7+ speed. Panrahk seems like it's broken: Instant death attacks seem more like something worthy of a challenge fight than a normal fight. And one that feels out of place when we're not even Tier 2. Especially when the Rahkshi get attacks that deal 2x+crit rate/2.5x/3x damage. They seems a bit overpowered for Tier 1.
BTW, what's the mechanic that leads to 32 damage?
(also, be ready for a 4 member PUG for Zadakh [maybe the Rahkshi as a balance] when the time comes for that. One healer, one fighter, one healer/defender, one of me. So yeah, basically a balanced party.)

Thank you. (I'll appreciate the info if I decide to try the Rahkshi.)

Was it the movie?
If so, did it turn out to be any good relative to the "anime" itself?

BTW, could you list the stats of each opponent within the blog itself? It would make things WAY more convenient than they are now...

O_O Natural... Dual Wielding... On Ranger... =O I think I definitely know which Tier Two class I'm going with now. =P
*Continues reading over description* Yep; that's my tier two class. =P
It's REALLY good, but my playstyle tends to be mixed between defense and offense. I'm taking Hunter for that reason. It seems like a relatively self-sustaining class...

It would be useful for defenders and such. NOT quite so much for Shooters, though. Or Hunters, given their lack of HP emphasis. (I'm getting an HP thing for this reason: To be bulky enough to take on stronger foes.) I'll pass on this for now. Nova also seems a bit unreliable outside of Partner matches.
Partner attacks...hmm...this actually sounds interesting. You just gave me an idea for a higher-level foe.

Is this a good chart? Focuses are closer to their stats.
Oh, and BTW, I replied. You now see my basic strategy in action.
And why is my weapon an Ice Spear? (My character is Air element.)

Seeing all the classes, I think Hunter (which seems to fit best with my playstyle, pseudo-defensive [being just defensive enough to take a few hits, but using defensive moves and items like Bullet Time and the Hau to supplement this]) will be my Tier 2. Would the Gunner be better at this, or is my idea of Hunter correct?
Also, so the "base stats" (as in basics of each stat) of each class are as follows:
Tier 1:
Fighter:
HP: 2
Attack: 2
Defense: 1
Speed: 1
Defender:
HP: 2
Attack: 1
Defense: 2
Speed: 1
Healer:
HP: 1
Attack: 1
Defense: 2
Speed: 2
Shooter:
HP: 1
Attack: 2
Defense: 1
Speed: 2
Tier 2:
Warrior:
HP: 4
Attack: 4
Defense: 2
Speed: 2
Protector:
HP: 4
Attack: 2
Defense: 4
Speed: 2
Medic:
HP: 2
Attack: 2
Defense: 4
Speed: 4
Gunner:
HP: 2
Attack: 4
Defense: 2
Speed: 4
Lancer:
HP: 4
Attack: 3
Defense: 3
Speed: 2
Ranger:
HP: 3
Attack: 4
Defense: 2
Speed: 3
Guardian:
HP: 3
Attack: 2
Defense: 4
Speed: 3
Hunter:
HP: 2
Attack: 3
Defense: 3
Speed: 4
Alchemist (my class idea, listed in Tier 0 strategy):
HP: 3
Attack: 3
Defense: 3
Speed: 3
Would this (add base stats of two component classes to get the Tier 2 class's stats) be correct?
Neya Out.

Hmm...can I suggest something? You lack a "jack of all trades" class for tier 2. Could this suggestion rectify that?
Alchemist:
The Alchemist is the quintessence of "jack of all trades, master of none." A combination of Fighter/Healer or Defender/Shooter, the Alchemist has traded away mastery in one or two stats in exchange for proficiency in all of them. He always has a trick for every occasion. The downside of this class is that while you lack weaknesses, you also lack particular strengths. You'll have to use quirks from all 4 Tier classes to battle with: Recovery, status, and damage are all available to the Alchemist, but he isn't as specialized as any of them.
Like it?
