The KanohiJournal Storyline Contest #3: Iron Wolf MOC/Artwork has begun for KanohiJournal readers and members. The contest will be announced on BZPower and BIONICLEsector01 tomorrow. More details here.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to The Future, Today. This is the official blog for the KanohiJournal, leading BIONICLE fan eMagazine and its extension services, giving you a place to interact and participate in its development. About Since the KanohiJournal's redevelopment into an online magazine site, it is no longer efficient or appropriate to have topics within the Promotions forum. Instead, we intend for The Future, Today to be the replacement of individual topics, and also a development blog regularly updated to announce new articles on the KanohiJournal website and its project developments. Ever since our debut in 2008, the KanohiJournal has grown rapidly, providing BIONICLE fans with articles and a source of regular entertainment to enjoy. We have been the host of two official storyline contests, and have collaborated closely with BZP's S&T and The Chronicler German BIONICLE magazine to produce more contests for you to participate and enjoy. Our BIONICLE for E-Books development has seen the reproduction of several online serials into e-books for Amazon's Kindle device, with more formats to be supported in the near future. Today, we are happy to announce a number of new projects which we have worked on/researched into over the past few months, with more to come. We feel that this blog will allow you, our readers and fellow BIONICLE fans, to interact closer with our team and give you a chance to participate in new areas and projects currently being produced and researched by the KanohiJournal. Contests Contests have been quite an important part of what the KanohiJournal has performed so far. In 2008, we hosted the KanohiJournal Storyline Contest #1: Aqua Blaster Blade, in which fans were invited to build the Aqua Blaster Blade used by Toa Mahri Nuparu. In 2009, we hosted the KanohiJournal Storyline Contest #2: Surel Artwork, a very popular contest which allowed artists to draw the character of Surel. In 2010, the KanohiJournal has partnered with The Chronicler German BIONICLE magazine and BZP's Storyline & Theories to bring you even more inspirational and exciting contests to participate. This was shown in January, where the KanohiJournal collaborated with The Chronicler to host the IDBM Contest #3: Desert Birdwatching, which has received over 40 entries and the winner pending approval from Greg Farshtey. Starting tomorrow, the KanohiJournal will begin the KanohiJournal Storyline Contest #3: Iron Wolf MOC/Art. This will be a contest spanning a period of four months, and will be inviting MOCists to built the Iron Wolf and artists to illustrate the winning build. This contest will be a continuation to the successful KJSC2, and we are sure that many fans will be interested in this contest and support it. The KanohiJournal will also be hosting another contest with The Chronicler in June 2010, featuring Toa Nikila, a deceased Toa of Electricity. This contest will invite fan artists to draw the female Toa, which we are sure will be greatly anticipated. To finish off the year, the KanohiJournal will host one last contest in October 2010. This will be a writing contest, featuring a very interesting part of BIONICLE's storyline history. The topic for this contest will be revealed closer to the contest date. BIONICLE: The Complete Legend One of the most exciting things we will be working on this year is BIONICLE: The Complete Legend. This is a collaboration between the KanohiJournal and The Chronicler to produce an electronic guide book based on the visual dictionary idea by Toa Jampot. The Complete Legend will be fully illustrated and is targeted for a September 2010 release, and will be supporting major publication formats such as EPUB and Kindle. More details will emerge on the official BZP topic which we hope to unveil soon in the Movies & Books forum. Bara Magna RPG Bara Magna RPG is another project which the KanohiJournal will be taking part in this year. This will be a collaborative effort between the KanohiJournal and Legacy Productions, formerly known as the Akilini Enterprises. This project will center around producing a fan-created game for Microsoft Windows, and possibly for XBOX 360 and Windows Phone 7 Series as well. More details can be found on the left sidebar. Mobile Apps Arguably the most ambitious out of all the projects currently planned and produced by the KanohiJournal. Mobile Apps is a concept which we hope can come into fruition, and will involve the development of applications for major mobile phone platforms, allowing mobile-wielding fans to access the BIONICLE fandom faster and easier. More details and how to participate can be found on the left sidebar. Others The three items above is only a selection of projects currently being researched/produced by the KanohiJournal. There are also a number of other projects currently being discussed, and more details will emerge in the future. Completely random title just to lure you folks onto this entry. As you can see, this is now the official KJ blog. I will soon be adding content to those new nifty content blocks to the left (look at them all pretty and such :3) and once they are done this blog will become the center of the KJ developments. As you can see, we have a couple of very interesting projects lining up. The Complete Legend should have its topic soon, and Bara Magna RPG may have one also by next month. Not too sure on Mobile Apps yet, though. Not willing to shred too much light on any of them just yet, but you'll likely find out more about them within a few hours or by tomorrow, so check back soon and find out how to participate! (Oh, and no, Bara Magna RPG is not some RPG text game. Just to tease you all - it's something we're developing for Windows 7, and possibly XBOX 360 and Windows Phone 7 Series as well. Interested? Simply because it's Apple, so you will have to get everything through Apple. You can't, say, download stuff off the internet and install that and be happy about it. Nada. It's all Apple. Unless you jailbreak it. Then Jobs won't be happy and would hunt you down. Plus, it's been out for three years now and really it's still 2006 technology. Wait a few months - a lot of awesome things are coming out. Android and Windows Phone 7 Series, for example. (Particularly 7 Series' support for XBox Live games, if you're into that.) ~ Bioran

What about the fact that I like Windows because it's sooooooooooooooo much more versatile and awesome, and I don't get BSODs and other ridiculously silly things which Apple says it does because only 5% of the world computer users uses their products? ~ Bioran
