Recently, the BIONICLE Story Squad was announced in the Storyline & Theories forum. Upon its announcement, a small amount of individuals questioned the reason as to why the KanohiJournal was present on the team, and we would therefore like to clarify matters and give an explanation on our participation.
Since our debut over a year ago, the KanohiJournal has strived to set up different events in addition to our articles to make the experience more entertaining. These included interviews and contests, and for a brief period of time, electronic books. To this day, we have been the host of 3 contests: Aqua Blaster Blade, Surel and the ongoing Iron Wolf contest. We also have two additional contests planned for 2010.
One of the primary reasons behind our presence is our status as a major contest host. Beginning 2010, we have been actively collaborating with the S&T and The Chronicler German BIONICLE fan magazine. It is therefore necessary, we believe, to collaborate further with the BIONICLE story, in order to make it better than ever before.
Additionally, the KanohiJournal's parent organization, Plast! Productions, has been in frequent contact with Mr. Greg Farshtey and LEGO. Over the past few months, we have planned out various projects which will take advantage of the latest technology and social media, in hopes of prolonging, promoting and further enriching the post-sets BIONICLE. These projects will involve extensive fan involvement, and introduce various media opportunities for fans to enjoy. We expect these projects to be unveiled later in the year, but we currently can not provide a roadmap as we must first seek permission for some of the projects, concrete our plans and prepare the technology behind the projects in order to maximise success.
We therefore invite BIONICLE fans such as yourself to join us, over the next few months, as we prepare to unveil the Plast! Network.
