It was the word "Philosophy" that grabbed my attention and the fact that it deals with social doctrine that made me read it all, lol. Firstly, very well done. I like the way you wrote it, and doubtlessly this is among the best junior philosopher works I have seen (better than a couple of mine, even). So, moving on, yes, i agree with almost everything here. An example of comflict between two ideas would be the Spanish conquest, notably the fall of the Incas. Religion was key here (sadly, I cannot bring that up... ) because it played roles in the conflict. I deeply admire the resiliance of the Incas and their prosperity. However cruel and pagan they may have been, they were among the most advanced races of their time. And yet, even after seeing it all, Pizarro still destroyed them all. It was the ideas of morality and social ideals that made them kill the Incas, and as a result destroy an empire that would have lived as long as their cities. But also, apart from religion, another key was greed. The Spaniards thought nothing of their greed, and greed was nearly nonexistant with the Incas. Greed plays an important role in morality and social ideals. And can you say that the Spanish and the Incas could have lived in harmony? Absolutely not. The difference was inevitable, just as you say, and that inevitability caused great destruction. Also, on the subject of laws and general morality. T. Jefferson once said "Law is not justice; justice should be law." This, upon closer look, says that the laws implemented by us humans to our own benefit, personal or social, regardless how clean they may be to any doctrine, will be flawed. So a person to craete laws will only mean that we will have a problem further down the road as so many other rulers have had destined. Really, when I look at all this, I can't help but chuckle at how much Respectism reflects on the problems dealt with here and elsewhere and how much more this bolsters my confidence in the doctrine, LOL. I hope to see more work from you in this issue and such. ~EW~

For the last two days I was on leave because I was on a winter snow camp. (For those in the BSA, you know it as Klondike.) 'Twas great fun, seeing as I was not running around solving puzzles and was instead a staffer. So, I was just sitting around grading people for throwing snowballs out of a lacrosse stick in my station instead of getting soaked, cold and miserable (as T 404 has a gift at doing xD). Plus, I had a hot lunch cooked for me as opposed to sitting on a tarp eating cups of noodles. My station was the Scout Spirit Test. We had three activities which patrols rotated in, one being the group ski which held four people who needed to work as a team to walk a distance with their feet strapped to the skis; the radioactive isotope transfer, which featured a can and ropes tied to a thick rubber band and the patrol leader had to direct his blindfolded patrolies to stretch the band around the can without tipping it; and my place was watching over the snowball catapult, which boasted a lacrosse stick and a box (the goal was to make at least one snowball get into the box using the stick --without damaging the box-- in twelve shots). My troop was supposed to build two igloos, but the only one that was completed was the adult one. The junior igloo was abandoned after we discovered a defect in our kit, and we just tossed a tarp over it, christening it a "tarploo." So, even though I was soaked on the outside, I was never that cold and was never close to miserable. Fun stuff, I tell ya'. So this morning, when I looked out the window, I was glad I was not at Klondike anymore, having had my months full of snow and ice. What greeted me when I looked outside? Why, nothing other than snow falling from the heavens. Rolling my eyes, I sighed and got up, my legs still sore from working in the snow two days earlier. On that topic, we now have about two inches of snow on the ground and counting. ~EW~

Wait-- how do you know Ceasar Milan? Psst! Just between you and I, plx... You just now got LSWII? ToK actually sent me a PM stating his reasons to resign. Unfortunately, it is entirely in German and I have not had time to translate it, so I still have no idea why he resigned, lol. ~EW~

It's not a real biggie, seeing as many others fail the first time anyway. No, written test. I dispise using the computers for the tests. And tomorrow I will be out snowcamping (details on Monday). So I cannot take it until I return. ~EW~

Aww, I'm sory to hear all that, but glad to hear that she is on the road to recovery. My dad was almost in death's throes, and had he eaten a banana, he would have died due to potassium overdose and a ruptured bladder, so I know what is it to be in that kind of state of shock. (I have only fainted twiv=ce in my life, once was when I heard that news, and the second was when I watched a movie I shouldn't have and fainted due to sight of profuse blood. Yeah, it takes a huge shock to make me faint.) ~EW~
