Quick Pronunciation Guide: "ay" is as in "cake," "ah" as in "cart," "a" as in "cat," "uh" as in "bug," "oo" as in "crew," "kh" as in the German "ch," (that is, pronounced slightly softer, with a slight "h" sound following the "k") "rh" is similar to the above only with the softness of the vowel landing on the "r," "ih" as in "bill," "ee" as in "flee," "ow" as in "bow," "eh" as in "red," "igh" as in "rise," "ks" as in the "x" in "ax," "gh" as in the "g" in "great," and "oh" as in "low." Also, capitalized syllables are accented.

  2. Toa_Ausar & --V--:

How many of those planets are inhabited, precisely? :???: You mention forests being as far as three-hundred-thousand mio from Solis Magna, in Terra Magna, and it seems to be implied that Jattillus is inhabited.

If they all are, I would find it highly unlikely, although I don't recall the convertion of mio into miles/kilometers. Still, it's not very likely that all of the planets are in the "Goldilocks Zone," seeing as only two can be found in our Solar System. :lookhere: Of course, this just requires a bit of suspension of disbelief.

Additionally, it appears that this Solar System was naturally created (i.e., not by the Great Beings), and thus I noted a lack of any gaseous planets. Still, I'm willing to suspend my disbelief.

Regardless, the cartograph itself is wonderfull; good job, --V--.

  3. I must say, I'm also addicted to that show; it's really my favorite animated TV show (and probably the only one that I find good). I just hope that the movie is good--I've read mixed reviews.

And now for a mandatory "The Ember Island Players" quote:

(Actor) Jet: Must serve ... Earth King! Must ... detroy! Nooo!

Zuko: Did Jet just ... die?

Sokka: You know, it was really unclear.

Wow ... I don't have too much say here, as this is, of course, just a teaser. Nevertheless, I've been waiting for quite some time for this Short Story to be released, and this teaser has merely increased by anticipation.

So, I can't wait for the rest of your Epic and this Short Story to be posted.

  5. Precisely what I thought when I voted for you, Zahaku. If Ausar's argument were valid, then Kohila would have had to have specified that the weapon needs to be at a 1:1 scale. And because none of the entrants mentioned that, the point unfortunately is not particularly compelling. ;) Thus, I'll vote for the best-made MOC (as with all MOc Contests), and I think that Zahaku's MOC fits that bill.

  6. Hmm... I may be able to enter, now that the deadline has been pushed back. Plus, the vague description provides a lot of wiggle room.

Now, you say, "(As long as long as it's not contraditory)," but to what? Please make that a little more clear.

Additionally, are there any other rules (i.e., the typical BBC Contest rules, a no mass PMing rule, etc.)? Just to make sure. I like to know everything inside and out before beginning something.

Those are the only issues that I have; this sounds like an awesome contest! :happydance:

P.S. I'm really sorry to hear that the Slizer Arm broke; from the WIP that I saw, Turaga Kohila looked very well-made.

  7. Not bad; definately better quality photography. I just wish the eyes were more visible -- the eyes fading away seems to happen a lot in pictures of MOCs.

BTW, do you have any new chapters prepared for "Spirit Fable;" I'm still reading the Epic (despite my lack of reviews) and enjoy it a lot.

  8. Don't worry, Zahaku, I totally understand that, but I was trying to make the points that a total outsider would make. A lot of what is done on this world is based off surface appearances, you know. ;) Now, you can compare that to the EM, in which everyone just looks at the basics (e.g., places, currency) and writes an Epic.

I didn't mean, as stated in my last paragraph, to sound rude, but wanted to make it sound somewhat like why other members outside of the C.I.R.C.L.E. may "shun" you (though shun is a strong word).

I agree with you on your last point, Zahaku. If you guys truely want the C.I.R.C.L.E. to become a bigger thing, then you've got to get the word out. Make some sort of "open enrolement," like the EM essentially has, or something. Otherwise, these quasi-complaints seem incredibly misguided.

  9. Well, bonesiii (no capital, FYI) is ... more famous -- for want of a better term -- than you, Ballom, or Toa_Ausar. I mean, bonesiii wrote a bunch of really well-known Epics, and advertizes the EM, so to speak. He writes and get others to write about the Expanded Multiverse, whereas the C.I.R.C.L.E., as far as I know, is just a bunch of regular ol' members voting on whether a Kanohi should be fanon in a WeBlog. It's not really anywhere outside of the little ring of members. For instance, do you try to create publicity and hype over the C.I.R.C.L.E.? If not, the semi-complaints in this Entry and comments are quite misguided.

No offence to you, Toa_Ausar, or Ballom, I'm just trying to explain it without saying that the BZPower Media is being unfair. I hope that this provides an adequate explanation/second opinion.

  10. Yeah, that topic is about a bit of Greg-confirmed info on Bara Magna for this coming year.

If you want to know what it is, you may want to check out the Farshtey Feed; it has information on the topic, so to speak.
