Yeah, let's come up with a basic plot. We'll throw some ideas around, solidify it just as much as it needs to be so that we can actually start writing, and by then we'll have figured out the how. Sound good?

By the way, you should know I'm really into philosophy; the whole 'there is no true evil' kind of thing. I'm also seriously into deep characterization, the kind of stuff that makes chars question their own existence, purpose, and often makes them lose their minds.

There's a lowlife criminal who lives solely to screw people's lives up. Accidentally, he gets involved in something genuinely sinister, way over his head. In whatever way, good or bad, he impacts that somehow. Really vague, but that's how all good writing starts out.

How 'bout an average street mugger getting caught in something way over his head? Something genuinely evil?

No problem--I actually rarely write Bionicle, just figured it might get my work some publicity. Originally the epic was sci-fi COT, and ironically I don't usually write that either. COT fantasy's my genre, particularly horror and/or thriller. Any ideas?

I dunno, exactly. I'm trying to post something everyday this week; got the next one or two Tale of War chaps already planned, got an SS in mind for myself, and I can improv one or two for fun. I haven't seriously written in a while, so trying to leap back on.

Yeah, know what you mean. A sci-fi wartime version of Alice in Wonderland has got some incredible potential for sure, though--it's sad that they blew some of it.
