    Dear Readers,

If you were intrigued by the title of this entry, I apologise for having forced you to wait so long for updates to Frost Rising. It upsets me that you will have to wait even further for updates to Matoro's story, but thankfully a new prospect is soon to arise.

You see, Frost Rising never became what I envisioned. I pictured a Harry Potter-esque tale of a Matoran who must uncover various mysteries in training for an important role, whilst at the same time joining his friends through everyday life. It had the potential to become that, it truly did.

And yet, I was unprepared from the start. Never did I sit down to make a proper outline, nor even to establish a concrete ending or theme. All I had were a few character traits I wanted to endow the main characters with, and a few situations I wanted to explore.

Now, Frost Rising is officially over, and yet, like some literary phoenix, a new and greater epic will rise from its ashes. Let it be known that I am starting Frost Rising over from the beginning. While this is in no way what you have been waiting for, it is the only way that I can continue the story as it should be.

Perhaps I may put this off further (to the overall displeasure of fans) in order to create another epic as backstory, which highlights Nuju's Hordika days. However, I think that would better be expressed through the revelations that Matoro comes upon over the course of the story. Frost Rising will return with a vengeance, even though it mayu take some time. I hope the most loyal of readers will await this with pleasure.

Not only on this site, but on the Lemony Snicket official site. (I am forbidden to post the address, since it has links to sites with forums, but shame on you if you can't guess.)

Here's what I got last year in an email from those delightful folks at HarperCollins:

So who knows what tomorrow might hold!

Tubular Bells will have to wait. I can't put this entry off one second.

I just was goofing off one day when I did this. You'll probably have to expand the image to read it.

And no, I wasn't trying to type "Paul Bunyan." Paul the Bunyan is some random drawing someone drew in my Technical Theatre class for use in a skeleton set. They're a good artist, but this drawing certainly didn't show it. But forgive me; I'm getting off-topic.

I might someday create the page, just because it says I can.

In more important news, I GOT A WII! I was in New York for my summer camp reunion, and we stopped at Nintendo World. They had no Wii's, so wii asked "When do you get your next shipment of Wii's. They answered "Tomorrow morning." So wii went to the store at 9 o' clock, and when they opened at 10, WII GOT A WII!

Other things we did in New York included seeing the Broadway production of Mary Poppins (which even outdoes The Lion King in its inedible awesomeness) and going to Books of Wonder, a bookstore whose awesomeness is likewise inedible. While at Books of Wonder we got "Peter Pan in Scarlet" which is an amazing and suspenseful story, as well as a SIGNED COPY of "The Invention of Hugo Cabret, a picture book that totally OWNS with its realistic pictures and complex plot.

But anyway, Lemony Aanchir will be back soon with a Tubular Bells-oriented entry. I hope.

    Dear Readers,
What could be more unfortunate than Aanchir submitting an ASOUE-related artwork for AC13? I'll tell you... Aanchir not submitting an ASOUE-related artwork for AC13. Yes, I realize that I turned down the chance to celebrate everyone's favorite unlucky number, but Lyichir and I have just been unable to pull ourselves together and finish our entry. With any luck , which does not come frequently in the life of a volunteer, I will be able to complete an artwork with this contest's concept sometime, so that you may all see the devious entry we had planned. Soon I'll try to get an entry in where I rant about something interesting, say, Tubular Bells, but until then, I have the best wishes for all of you readers, particularly those readers who did get entries in before the deadline. (Here's looking at you, Lady K!)

    Dear Reader,
If you have paid attention to the world around you over the course of your life, you are probably well aware that certain unpleasant characteristics are to be found on the faces of many people, just as they are to be found on many people's left ankles. The Baudelaire orphans were exempt from many of these conditions, having inherited their mother's pleasant facial features, but sadly, there are many who do suffer from such unfortunate facial features. Shiny eyes, for instance, are typical of all sorts of people, including former presidents of large businesses, or certain well-renowned actresses. A frightening voice can be heard in most of Al Funcoot's plays, or at performances by people who take up yodeling in deserts as a hobby. Brilliant smiles have been seen on actors in toothpaste commercials, and on the city's sixth most important financial advisor, back when smiling was in.
However, the three aforementioned features, when together, will usually describe only villainous people, such as Count Olaf or one of the six Piraka, as the case is here. You are probably better off avoiding my latest story, Smile!, which contains such unpleasantries as poor working conditions, the Mask of Life, the mass slaughter of mining supervisors, comfortable lodging in the home of a notorious villain, a song by The Gothic Archies, and protodites. One can only hope that you will have the good judgement not to read this story, lest you add a perennial, a word which here means "eternal," frown to your personal guise.

As the topic suggests, I have created a Topic Archive content block. This block links to all my relevant topics, which include MOCs, artwork, and stories but omit any answered questions or disproven theories (including my far-too-hopeful Aquaraiders theory from a while back). If anyone remembers any topics I have neglected to include, post it here. Remember, you are my last hope that the creative abilities of Aanchir: Rachira of Time can be shown to the general public.

It took a while to figure out, but I finally found a way to give my readers on BZPower access to a sample of Endless Night, the song featured in my SSC3 entry. Copy and paste the following URL into your address bar and it should open it up in Windows Media Player or a similar program. Sorry I can't provide a direct link, but the brackets in the URL prohibit me from doing that. I can't link to the source either, because it has forums.

    http://lebom.com/audio/The%20Lion%20King%20[Original%20Broadway%20Cast]/Ensemble_Endless_Night.mp3

The song is from the Broadway stage production of The Lion King, and is not featured on any CDs (to my knowledge) except for two: The original broadway cast recording and a CD you can buy at the play that contains just five songs. I have the five-song version.

If this song influences your enjoyment of my songfic, post comments there. General comments about the song go in this entry. Share and enjoy!

    Dear Readers,
Seeing as its been 11 days since that special day we call Halloween, it's high time I give my unfortunate readers an update on the Halloween festivities.

My family's celebrations were premature, a word which here means "occurring earlier than is normal for such occasions." We went to a Halloween party at a friend's house on the 29th, and to celebrate the release of Book the 13th, Lyichir and I dressed up as two prominent characters from the novel, Olaf and Ishmael. You would probably rather not click the following links:
    The World Is Quiet Here

Someone once stated that a picture is worth a thousand words, and so it is unnecessary for me to give you punctilious details such as "one eyebrow," "tattoo," "insignia," "bad hygiene," "no socks," "striped pants," "look out," or any of the other four thousand nine hundred and eighty-eight words that I could have used, if I had the villainous goal of making this entry an even more unpleasant experience than it already is.

About a year ago I had a similar but far more detailed costume that I wore on Celebrity Day at my school, which conveniently ran hand-in-hand with the release date of Book the Twelfth. I will try to find pictures of that costume as soon as possible.

Please check back for new entries and content blocks which may serve as reimbursement, a word that here means "repayment," for any grief you have sustained in reading this entry.

    Dear Reader,
The word "vagary," which here means "an erratic or unpredictable action or notion," can be used to describe many things in A Series of Unfortunate Events, but is here used to describe the miserable songs performed in "The Tragic Treasury," an album of ASOUE-related songs composed by a most misfortunate group known as "The Gothic Archies." I recently acquired this album while in the midst of my research, and made a monetary offering in exchange for the secrets within.
The band is a most unusual group, consisting of Stephin Merrit, with Lemony Snicket on accordion and John Woo on electric sitar. For an excerpt--- a word which here means "sample"--- of their work on this album, please visit http://www.lemonysnicket.com/VileVideos/GothicArchies.cfm. For those who do not read ASOUE, let me offer this as a pleasant alternative to such dreadful books as those. For readers of the series, what do you have left to lose?

This poem is an excerpt from my commonplace book:

Despite its Very Fearsome Denotation (that means "name")
its Venom doesn't Feel quite as Deadly as they claim.
    In fact, instead of frightful,
    why, the Viper's Found Delightful,
but it's feared by all the experts, what a shame.

About the Viper's Friendly Disposition, this I say:
He's Visitable, Fun, and quite Distracting, in a way,
and at the time Vital For Dreaming,
his eyes stop their jewellike gleaming
as he curls up at your feet from night till day.

    Dear Readers,
Yesterday, on that day of misfortune we call Friday the Thirteenth, even more adversity came upon us in the form of a Volume Favorably Discouraged known only as The End. To be succinct, which here means "short and sweet, as this book definitely isn't," this book is an unpleasant novel that you good people should spare yourselves the agony of reading. To be verbose, a word which here means "long, wordy, and likely to cause strife or agony, as this book is," Lemony Snicket's most recent (and hopefully last) novel imposes a greater degree of misfortune than lucky people such as yourselves are accustomed to, and therefore should be avoided at all costs, lest you expose yourselves to such unpleasantries as another ridiculous disguise, a deadly fungus, a horribly-named boat, and the true nature behind an extensive tome known as A Series of Unfortunate Events, which are far more frightening prospects than the run-on sentence that you are indulging in at this time. Please don't read this, unless you are a grief-stricken member of a rapidly decaying secret organization that believes that this novel will be vital to your training. If you are, my only hope is that you may be smart enough to never volunteer again.

    With all due respect,
    Aanchir, Rachira of Time
