  1. This is still the best soundtrack of all three films even after all these years. All my favorite cues showed up in here so I'm a pretty happy camper, and having the music having been uploaded directly lets us hear some details in the music that we couldn't years ago through the film itself and fanrips down the line. Eagerly awaiting Web of Shadows. TAK
  2. The soundtrack to Bionicle: Mask of Light is finally out! It's available through iTunes/Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon. What do you guys think? Worth the wait? For me, the standout tracks are easily "The Legend of the Bionicle", "Koli Tournament", and "Unity, Duty, Destiny". What say you? TAK
  3. Even a pre-order date is hype-inducing. Furst's score is easily one of the best things to happen to the franchise, even if the films themselves left something to be desired. TAK
  4. Jumping in late, but really, these are simply well done. The small edits really help sell the life in the subjects captured. And the Gali gif is great, feels just like the MNOG visuals. TAK
  5. After finishing the Netflix series, this suddenly makes sense. It's a shame it couldn't hang on awhile longer. Gen 2 could've been just as fantastic in its own right compared to the first. TAK
  6. This really is incredible. I love that the story is how Lewa got himself into the situation we see him in MNOG. The fight between all the Rama and the changing Kanohi really made the fight entertaining beyond it being a hack and smash. This is great work. TAK
  7. Finished watching it. I gotta say, I wasn't expecting very much from the series at all, but I'm charmed. It's clearly a cheap production, but the characters themselves are animated really well. Each Toa has a pretty big personality aside from Onua, who keeps it cool enough. They really cemented the Toa's personalities here a lot better than the small books, and the change from lighthearted Pohatu we had in Gen 1 to the "brooding and serious" Pohatu here works as well as everyone else's changes (like Kopaka and Tahu). The series isn't anywhere near as dark as we were in the 2001-2003 era, but with this show, Gen 2 is finally doing something really worthwhile, I think. The cheesy dialogue kills me at times, but that's expected for a show aimed where it is. Looking forward to more. I take it more are coming out soon? TAK
  8. Wow, I'm surprised we got as good of a poster as we did here. This looks great. TAK
  9. I think that looks fantastic, considering I didn't have high hopes for the animation and overall look of the show. Pretty excited it's coming out next month. TAK
  10. Hopefully a little bit more depth with its characters and story. Right now it's fine because it just started and the line is much more family-friendly than where we were in 2001. But the characters, despite being different than past incarnations, are fun and we're getting enough content to hold us over through the books. Maybe the Netflix series will do more, but I won't hold my breath for anything amazing, just serviceable at most. TAK
  11. Bionicle Heroes is one of my favorite Bionicle games, so seeing unfinished content like this the way you've accessed it is a real treat. Keep us posted for more! TAK
  12. You know what, I haven't done anything like this in awhile, I'll give it a shot. TAK
  13. I'm really excited for this, but please, please don't be bad. At least be better than the movies we got in G1. TAK
  14. So I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but the second chapter book got a cover on Amazon. It's just the Vizuna boxart. TAK
  15. Oh man that's really cool. So glad you were able to find these and share. The kinda "white noise" effect is pretty cool, and I wonder why they decided to change the Coliseum from *boom* to *cloudy day*. Though, I do think the shadows around it works much better. TAK
  16. Overall, I liked it. I agree with others that the first half of the book is much stronger with more of a focus on each characters (the Protectors and their respective Toa). The book was stronger when it wasn't just a slave to the animations and was able to fill in the gaps with character development and information that the animations didn't talk about (such as why the island is the way it is). Ending was weak as well, as it just "ends" with no real satisfying conclusion. But all the callbacks to G1 were great and I'm looking forward to the next book regardless. Hopefully it'll be less about the main arc and able to tell its own story while focusing on the characters. TAK
  17. This is fantastic, I really like the use of the hands. TAK
  18. Won't there be a topic for the book itself at least for discussion? I assume that book details will be spoiled here, though... right? TAK
  19. Wait, it's tomorrow?Well now I'm excited. Yup! Digital on Amazon (in the USA at least as far as I know) as well. Pretty excited to see what's up. I am gonna miss Greg writing, though. TAK
  20. Everyone excited for the book tomorrow? TAK
  21. It never fails. I'm loving this version of Onua. He's very jovial. TAK
  22. You know, really nice episode actually. I liked that it focused on Lewa and we saw some casual use of his powers. Loved the look the other Toa gave Pohatu when crossing the bridge. The Bionicle Universe requires occasional Lewa abuse. TAK
  23. Lewa is gonna save them. I'm calling it. Good on Onua for destroying their way back home. TAK
  24. The best art pieces here are the Web of Shadows Metru-Nui with all that Visorak webbing. It sets the tone so well, like a ghost town. TAK
