  1. IC Blest: Blest was lost. A pair of grim, silent Rahkshi had escorted her to the academy, resisting all attempts at small talk. She was left at the entrance with nothing more than her personal effects and a map, a map that had clearly failed at its intended purpose. She spun around in place, marveling. Though the architecture greatly resembled Icarax's fortress, drab and spartan (Except replace the grey with tan), the place felt so very different from her former home. She was not sure why. Not that it particularly mattered at the moment - Blest broke out of her reverie, crumpling the map out of frustration. Why was this place so confusing!? Nothing else for her to do, but to ask help. She dramatically opened the nearest door, walked in, and asked, "'Ey! Can anyone help me find the dorms?" OOC: Blest up for interaction, this is schrodinger's door, which opens to many mysterious places
  2. what if midseason transfer student in the sitcom of corpus rahkshi Also, this link I think, should be better for the Rahkshi variations, since the power levels do play a part here. Name: Blest Variation: Accuracy. I mean, it makes for good party tricks. Level: 2 Gender: Female Gear: A composite Rahkshi staff. The shaft doubles as a telescoping baton, and Blest utilizes two different blades. One is a simple and straight spike. The other is an angular blade that, when removed, resembles and can be utilized as a boomerang. Appearance: Shell is half red, half blue, swirling in together as they meet. Blue eyes, red head is always a good combination. Spikes come out straight before ending in arrowheads. Personality: If Icarax is overwhelmingly aggressive, Blest is overwhelmingly exuberant. The Rahkshi is a bundle of energy, curious about every and anything. This is an entirely new experience for her, to be raised among peers. Also actually socially awkward, except unlike most socially awkward people, if she accidentally pokes her hand into something that shouldn't be, rather than withdrawing she will continue bulling on. Bio: Sired by Icarax, Blest was initially passed over during the first round of testings. After all, the combative Makuta had little patience for the proddings and questionings of scientists, so the surveyors were only given a partial sample group before the Makuta ejected them from his premises. Blest's intelligence manifested itself during a routine training exercise, as the Kraata would prioritize certain targets over others. Speedy Rahi were harder to infect than slow crabs or slugs, but allowed Blest to ride them and more efficiently capture others at her leisure. Still, Icarax did not send Blest over to Corpus, preferring to keep and train up an intelligent enforcer for himself. Only after whispers circulated and pressure by other Makuta, jealous that they had to relinquish their own pods of intelligent kraata did the Makuta relent. And this, kids, is the story of how Blest arrived, new and fresh eyed. However, she's behind on studies, coming from a vastly different environment than Corpus Rahkshi, brought up in a martial setting. The only intelligent being among legions of regular Rahkshi. Never learned to read or write - enforcers didn't need to do that sort of stuff. The most learning she had was when her instructors would sometimes ramble on about war stories. But on the other hand, she has made up for it in physical pursuits, both in and out of suit. Blest is as comfortable outside of the Rahkshi armor as she is inside. Augmented by her power, she is also capable of fighting with multiple styles of weapons.

    giving up

Don't need experience when you got hearts and guts. Pieces still necessary tho.
  4. Well, at least it makes a good story if you ever trade jobs. "So describe a time when you faced adversity" "when my manager and 2 coworkers walked out and I was made acting manager" unless you quit too, then it's a bad story
  5. Probably not, but rivalry or no that doesn't change what happened at this moment "Yeah you fell asleep in class because you spent all night copying over notes for me to use, you slacker weakling!"
  6. Didn't Fang only get nearly KO'd because he chose to go the extra mile for the poison? Man Exxan is such an ingrate
  7. Does it come with a raise?
  8. You keep trying to characterize me as this guy getting worked up and offended by swear words when I just want to clarify my position. And then say that anyone offended actually hates humor. :/ Would it be better if i had said " do we hate dyslexic people"? Personally I think the filter itself is outdated, given that the core audience outgrew the age label. Actually a bit surprised we now allow YouTube but the filter is still there. It worked when Bionicle was still popular and kids were looking for a place to discuss who the best toa was. Actually probably still gonna need it with the reboot, actually. Well, point was that it's a bit annoying to me but I'll respect it anyways. Words have meaning. You say that swear words only matter when you mean that youre angry or whatever when you say it. I feel differently. When I'm asked to not swear in front of my cousin's kid, it's because they'd rather not teach them to express themselves in such a manner. Not because they're afraid of negative vibes or something. Same with bzp's filter: it's a toy set theoretically aimed at children. So why dont i *winkwink* and pun? Talk about how maaaad fudge makes me? Or how annoying all the beaches are? Because I respect them to not to. I don't say "Hey, where's the bathroom, I wanna ###" even though there's no angry, dismayed or otherwise negative tone: just a simple request. I don't talk about the devils' land even though I'm not dismayed. Swear words aren't just aggressive: they are also used in generic discourse. Compare "Karzahni is a bad place where bad matoran go to be broken" vs "What the Karz?" Both use the same word (or root, whatever), one is aggressive while the other is used neutrally, but both are used as bowdlerized swears. Swapping in for the RL version isn't okay in either case, despite the former not being aggressive, dismayed, or attached to any sort of emotion. And that's just my premise. Not because i hate puns or get offended by swear words. I could slip and slide around the filter with tricky wordplay but who does it really help, aside from stroking my own ego at the expense of the rules? That you have to ask whether such puns are are allowed in the first place, instead of doing it anyways, shows that you too feel it's skirting the line. That's all i have to say on the matter. I hope i made myself clear. Also to the guy that dug my name history to expose my hypocrisy or whatever: come on that was 4 years ago. And I'd look into 'Show Them Fury Unleashed' for an actual filter bypass. Check the acronym
  9. I wasn't implying that you hated dyslexic people any more than you were implying that I hated puns and humor.
  10. lol that's hilarious. Do you do this regularly?
  11. The way I see it, you're still trying to evoke the same thing even if you're trying to dress it up as a pun. A pun still refers to the swear word even if you aren't using it as such. As the above says. You can't evoke anything from hashtags because they're just hashtags. Whoa dude. Calm down. Nobody is getting "offended" by le bad words. Nobody 'hates' humor. So by this logic, allow misspelled banned words because getting offended at that is like getting offended by bad speelings? Do you hate people with dyslexia? I don't understand why people are fighting for their rights to use swear words under any circumstance, it's such a stupid thing to keep trying to find loopholes in. If the people that run the site don't like it, then why bother? Nothing wrong with respecting their wishes, letter or spirit.
  12. Oh, so you just tell people to stop godmoding and stuff, then
  13. Well I'm not sure how swear words are xD comedic and necessary, but that is a fair question I guess. But aren't you staff yourself?
  14. Well let's see. You ask whether 'bullshin' 'son of a beach' and 'mother-funker' could be construed as something else in a thread about word filters and swear words. When someone says that it sounds like you're trying to bypass the filter anyways, you immediately get defensive as if you're ONLY talking about 'shin' 'beach' and 'funk' alone, without any context to those words. On an unrelated note I'm not sure why people are trying to figure how to stretch the meaning of the filter despite what B6 said. He said he wants less of the swearing and bypassing, so why not just accept that? I swear like a sailor outside of BZP but it's not like I'm gonna try to bring that over here. His site, his rules, after all. If your friend asks you to remove your muddy shoes before going inside his house, do you run around muddying up his perfect lawn because lol it's not inside the house, technically!!
  15. I wasn't aware that anyone actually used these words in that context. You think that you're being cutely oblivious by using these absurdly specific situations. You're not.
  16. No? You probably got that from Black 6's OP, but 'Includes' isn't 'exclusive to'
  17. Isn't that what they mean when they said "dont try to bypass the filter" Yeah its cute that you have that context but come on, anyone with a brain knows what youre doing
  18. Wow dead really I think I shooould be able to double post at this rate? I was tinkering with an idea like this. Fantasy setting. The world is kind. People are prosperous, peaceful. The Gods are watching. Or so it seems. Yet, beneath the surface, Dark Gods stir. They are fallen or corrupted Gods from ages past, legendary monsters consumed by ambition, and more. They know that a war among the heavens is soon coming, and are looking to come out on top. But they are weak. Should they move into the light, they would rapidly be obliterated. They work secretly, through a select few agents. So it's a two-tiered RPG. The first tier you're playing a Dark God. Plotting, hunting, searching, corrupting, whatever. Any God can converse with one another on an astral plane separate from time and space, but you don't want to give TOO much to those that are your rivals and at the same time, your allies. As you amass more power, you can do more and grant more boons to your underlings. The second tier, you're playing as random fantasy people. Agents of Dark Gods, paladins and clerics of light, wandering bounty hunters, whatever. Your dark patron gives you orders, and you follow them. You can work for any god if you quickly hash out a profile together with the god's player. You have powers granted to you by your patron God, and they choose your advancement on that specific aspect. "But what if X the player hates me, and I'm his best agent?" You ask. "How can I advance?" Do what you do when your boss doesn't appreciate you: quit and find another patron. "But what if X just wants as much power as he can and advances all of his agent players as soon as he can? How do I, as a Dark God, compete without just matching this arms race?" You may ask. Then X is getting too strong, too quickly. Band together and put him down. It sounds complicated and a bit wonky to work out, especially given that everyone is basically a mini-GM in a sense, but it's something I was thinking of.
  19. ALso if we're throwing in settings now, I'm interested in something Weird West.
  20. IC: Still nodded and bowed. "Assuredly so."
  21. IC: That sounded... oddly like a gilded cage. Perpetually learning, never doing. Power unused was like an engine left to rust. Still checked itself. Of course, that was what it had been doing the whole time, was it not? Learning, reading, consuming. But not applying it. "Rrmph," The Rahkshi growled, a claw tapping the side of its head. A pensive pose for pensive thoughts, after all. "You've given me much to consider, Headmaster," the recorder chirped.
  22. Would this fall under a RPG-ish thing since you have a setting? I'd ask a staffer either way im interested
  23. Why not just walk around like a perpetual drunkard
