  1. IC Limos: Oh my. The Toa could feel the faint, biting cold through his suit, which was designed to weather everything. And if he could feel it... Limos didn't want to know what it felt like to the others. Well, best to get a move on. He picked a direction at random, ambling towards the unknown. IC Iskane: This freezing weather! Almighty! Iskane could not resist an angry curse as he was suddenly hurled into the freezing elements. He breathed sharply, attempting to acclimate to the cold. One, two. There, better. The Vortixx looked around, seeing nothing but ice and snow before him. He had not the slightest hint where to go... which meant that the others would not, either. Donning his shield, he aimed his Rhotuka, and fired. The spinner screamed into the air, leaving a clear, sharp trail of blackness across the sky, acting as an effective flare. Without further ado, Iskane charged up a second spinner, and fired it in the opposite direction. As the Rhotuka launched, the Vortixx swiftly grabbed on, allowing himself to be carried along a fair distance before letting go, falling into the snow. There. A bait without a trail.
  2. It makes more sense than having a dozen categories for different jobs. Some things you truncate for the sake of accessibility
  3. OOC: dont like to put OOC stuff without an IC post but since you put it here i hope i can catch you. What about us who are doing other things at the time you start? do we sit it out or did i misread you?
  4. Honestly, a racist Vortixx isn't going to be getting that many friends lol, so i may need another guy Name: Limos Species: Toa P/W 1: Emotional Hunger - Not only can he induce or decrease feelings of want, desire, or hunger, but he can also transfer energy between himself and others. He can also sap energy from inanimate objects, but it takes a lot more effort for the same output as a living being. P/W 2: Serrated Longsword - Can be imbued with the energy he gains via his element to enhance certain aspects of it, like making it sharper to cut through flesh easier, or heavier and blunter to crush armor P/W 3: Hazmat suit - As the name suggests, it isolates Limos from harsh elements. Rather finicky and needs constant repair though. Appearance: This guy Bio: In another world, the Toa were gifted Emotional Powers rather than Elemental in order to manipulate, mediate, and moderate the populace of the universe. For example, a Fear Toa could suppress angry raiders, or a ticking bomb in order to buy time. This served them well in brokering peace among the assorted races of the Universe, and so things were happy, for a time. But iron shapes iron, and when the Makuta seized the reins, the Toa were unprepared for the unthinking, unfeeling Rahkshi legions, which quickly subjugated the populace. Whatever few victories they could eke out were granted to them anyways by the Dark Spirit Miserix, furthering the Brotherhood's plan. And so... Miserix became the Great Spirit. He crushed Mata Nui then and there, and began his reign of shadows. Miserix's caprice and cruelty swiftly led the Universe to ruin. The walls are crumbling. The stars are dark. The air is choked with red antidermis. Infested horrors, dreamed up by Miserix's mind, roam the lands. Whatever free beings that are left have been forced underground, where the antidermis will not corrupt or choke them out. But even that is not a safe prospect, for hunter Rahkshi stalk the dark tunnels, purging resistance. Masks and Maskmakers are at a premium, for whatever masks that are made soon become infected anyways. Of course, trips to the surface are necessary. There are many things up there, such as protodermis, batteries, and so on, even if it is a dangerous trip, what with the infected beings and Rahkshi that stalk the surface, and the antidermis so thick that you can barely see more than a hundred meters in front of you, making the risk of infection all too easy. That's why Toa, such as Limos himself, have adapted to working without masks and instead don these bulky suits to keep the gas out. Limos was summoned to the Bionifight once, before. He survived it with respectable results, and was sent home with a fair number of necessities as his reward. Personality/Other: Limos actually enjoys the BIonifight. Not because he's a bloodthirsty warrior or something, but because it represents something else to him. A reprieve. He has grown sick and tired of the cancerous corpse that is his universe. He does not want to go back. Here, he can relax and forget, if for a while. Sure, there's a danger of dying... but there was probably a bigger chance of that in Miserix-Verse. Die here, die there, or become a mindless infected Toa... not really many options, you know. It's a horribly selfish feeling, but that's how it is. As a result, Limos is jovial and amicable about all things Bionifight. He may very well be one of the few people that genuinely enjoy being here. We metro 2033 now
  5. You can easily encompass the lights, sound, costumes etc into 'Tech guy' in general.
  6. That would actually be pretty interesting, but nobody can be that one snobby critic? "The actor's voice lower than the actual Tahu 0/10 would not watch"
  7. IC: Commercial Iskane leaned back in his chair, slightly disgruntled. There were... simply too many Toa here. Enough to put him on edge, turned the food in his mouth to ash. His crimson eyes shifted from fighter to fighter. Near everyone was an enemy here. The Vortixx sighed explosively. ...He would have to deal with it, then.
  8. Can't jack a chute without blowing the whole thing up, though
  9. Or just say X cursed loudly. "You can't be serious. What do you mean, they stole all the sweetrolls!?" Vague, simple
  10. You can't sip tea in a chute, you savage But no, I think it would be a bit more varied than that. Like, for example, the Line having trouble cutting through a jungle infested with Rahi, or tunneling through a mountain.
  11. clearly i must make a rahkshi hunter character
  12. Yeah, in the set, the Muaka had claws and nyan-ears, while the Kane-Ra had horns and... hoof things
  13. http://biosector01.com/wiki/index.php/Muaka I had that set it was awesome
  14. Anyone trying Darkest Dungeon? It's really good for early access, aside from some small design choices. Also really difficult sheesh
  15. Or perhaps this is your repressed jerkitude coming out?
  16. Because the theme is that, for the first time in their lives, the Makuta are weak. They're the ones being hunted. The Light won. This basically becomes another "Makuta wins, y'all doomed" scenario, and it doesn't even need the setup from what I already had. Regardless I had another idea It's basically a Bionicle Western set during the young days of Mata Nui, before the Makuta were evil The Line This is the Northern Continent. Destiny has eluded this land. There are no Toa to protect the Matoran. Without these heroes to bring order, how could they expect to know Unity or Duty? Without a guiding hand, they have fractured into many tribes, divided by grudges or misunderstandings, grave and petty. These people are so very different from the Matoran of Metru Nui. Without protectors, they have admirably adapted to the harsh lands, Sturdier and stronger than normal Matoran, these People of the Land, as they call themselves, have managed to domesticate Rahi in order to survive. For the longest time, no force has bothered with the Northern Continent, as barren and untameable as it was. Certainly, every now and then, a Toa team would try to bring the Virtues to this land, only to be rebuffed harshly by the People. Perhaps a single enterprising businessman would arrive full of hopes and dreams, only to leave with nothing. But, realistically, the only people that came, and stayed, were criminals escaping the long arm of the law. Destitute people seeking a new beginning. And so on. As they trickled in, these Bordermen managed to erect their own rickety roads and shantytowns, and established an.. if not amicable relationship, at least a neutral one with the People. Some villages gladly trade with the People around them while others will outright wage war on them. Either way, they could live their lives far away from the watchful eyes of the civilized world. ...That is, until now. The Line is a grand undertaking by people from all cities and all races. Xians see profit. Toa see opportunity. Skakdi see work. Even the Brotherhood itself lends its aid! All of this to tame these lawless lands. Two great ships landed on the east and west sides of the Continent, and have quickly set to work. Their first order of business was to erect a new kind of transport henceforth unknown to us: Railroads. These roads allow trains to travel at great speeds, many dozens times faster than the fastest Gukko bird. Offering exorbitant prices to whoever would accept them, People or Bordermen, the Line efficiently began its work. Within ten years, they have managed to penetrate deeper into the Northern Continent than the Bordermen have ever managed in a thousand years. Their ultimate goal is for both East and West Offices to meet in the center of the Northern Continent. Now, however, they face troubles, as they have stretched themselves thin. Resentful Bordermen and People alike have turned to banditry, assaulting trains running far from their stations. It is a tumultuous time. Will you turn to Outlawry? Establish Order by the Line? Protect your land?
  17. So, OOCwise, when should the fights start? Week-ish?
  18. IC: Iskane silently fell into step behind this Host. Yes, it would be a good idea to get the lay of the land.
  19. IC: "And the reward?" Iskane called out from the back. "Money? Power? Can't be fame - " He snorted. Like he needed that. " - I haven't even heard of this battle 'til now!"
  20. IC: Alright then. As the crowds thinned, Iskane was left with more space to collect his thoughts. He lagged back, letting the crowds disperse ahead of him. That enforcer. With a simple motion, had nullified the powers of everyone in the room. Much like a less violent version of the Reverse Snap... but much, much more potent. The Revolution could use that. Toa would drop like flies... and maybe then, they could undo what Helryx had done. Just... Iskane would have to first figure out how to coerce him to their cause. Victory through this battle? That seemed the clearest course of action.
  21. Now it was Iskane's turn to be surprised. Her kind usurped the Great Spirit, took control of the Universe. They had a mandate, and gladly betrayed it for power. And this one had the gall to ask why Toa were reviled? Was she that dense? The kinder possibility that there were other worlds, worlds where Toa were kind and just, had never crossed the Vortixx's mind. His facial features briefly shifted to one of abject surprise, with latent disgust boiling beneath the surface, but quickly reverted back to a bland, normal state. "Hunf. Unbelievable," the Vortixx snorted, turning away.
  22. I'm pretty sure the point of a Mohtrek was that it froze time the moment you pulled someone away. So it's more "welp I guess future me had me walk through a cheese grinder" when you randomly get cuts all over the place.
  23. IC: Well, those were pretty good extenuating circumstances. But given that this was a Toa, Iskane wasn't about to give her the benefit of the doubt. "Not used t' being told no either, I bet," Iskane smirked. Ah, this felt good. To be able to tell the Toa off without fear of his life. They'd sooner crush him and any others than let their pride suffer the slightest scratch.
