  6. Did you know the scientific name for the gorilla is gorilla gorilla gorilla? I don't think the Chima get too technical, but Gorzan probably appreciates his ancestors as the Gorilla Legend Beast enters the Legends of Chima. Today we see just what makes this set so special among the Legend Beast collection, and even give a set away in the review video. Read, and watch, on to see this jungle beast show his muscle among the ranks in Chima. View the full article

  9. Online, shirt-a-day site TeeFury has been giving LEGO some love recently, and today is another addition. Tying The LEGO Movie and the Old West together comes our favorite dual-personality policeman in Good Cop, Bad Cop, Ugly Cop. Just hope Sheriff Not-a-Robot doesn't challenge you to a duel at high noon if he sees you in this! View the full article
  10. Today at the Sydney Brickshow in Sydney, Australia, LEGO is unveiling the latest in their Creator Expert line of sets. 10244 Fairground Mixer looks like it comes right out of a traveling carnival and offers a ton of great designs and play features. While I sadly couldn't make it to Sydney (I have to settle for Philly Brick Fest) we still have the designer video, pictures, and the full press release. Read on to check them all out! 11. Michael Price Tweeted last night that The New Yoda Chronicles will be premiering on Disney XD at 7PM on May 4th. As the writer of the first episode, I think he can be trusted to give out good info. It's great to see this LEGO Star Wars series is returning! View the full article
  12. A trailer has gone up for a couple upcoming Simpsons episodes, including 'Brick Like Me.' As you can see here, the episode will feature LEGO Simpsons in a LEGO Springfield and is sure to be a great combination of the two franchises. It will air on May 4th, so mark your calendars and get your DVRs ready for some LEGO Simpsons action! View the full article
  13. Caw caw! That's the sound of the Eagle Legend Beast swooping in for another set review during BZPower's Chima Month! Today LEGO has provided this winged creature for a video review and another to raffle off to you! I, reporter ChocolateFrogs, take a look at this set from all angles and determine if its worth taking to the skies with Eris, our Chima hero of the day, or if it gets grounded. Read, and watch, on! 14. L3-G0 is, according to its creators, the world's first full size working LEGO R2 D2. Its construction started in 2013 as a prototype on the LEGO Digital Designer, before it was presented as a static model at Brickcon 2013. Now it has been shown to the public at Emerald City Comic Con as a fully functional model. Featuring around 16k bricks, it's quite a sight and certainly something you shouldn't miss if you go to Brickcon 2014 where it will roll around the place. Read on to watch footage of L3-G0 in action or go here to read something about its history and some stats. View the full article

  17. The LEGO Cuusoo team dropped a bombshell today - starting April 30th the site will be rebranded as LEGO Ideas and will finally leave its beta. You will be able to use your LEGO ID to log into the new site and connect it to your Cuusoo account to pull all of your existing projects, comments, votes, etc. over. As part of the new Terms of Service, projects will have one year to reach the 10,000 votes needed to enter review, otherwise they will expire and have to be resubmitted. On the plus side, fans aged 13-18 will now be able to submit projects. For more information on the change and what it means, head over to the Cuusoo site. View the full article
  18. It's time for yet another Legends of Chima set review. Today BZPower Reporter Xccj reviews 70133 Spinlyn's Cavern. Will you get entrapped by this set's arachnid beauty, or is this one you'll want to swat away. Read on or watch the set review video to find out! View the full article
  19. The UK Amazon site has posted listings for this summer's Legends of Chima sets, as you can see on The Brick Fan. Although we posted images of most of these sets back in February during Toy Fair, there are now official hi-res images you can check out. Of note, the Chima constraction sets are listed there, even though the latest I have heard is that they are still not going to be released. I asked someone at LEGO, and they have not heard anything new on that front, so I would temper my expectations if you are really looking forward to those. View the full article
  20. The Lion King is far and away my favorite Disney movie, which meant when I saw a topic in the Bionicle-Based Creations forum titled 'Rafiki,' I set my hopes pretty high. Rhymes-Shelter did not disappoint, presenting an incredible representation of that lovable baboon. He uses some great techniques, such as dinosaur heads for the eyes and an Exo-Force click-joint for the nose, to capture the character from the movie near-perfectly. Check it out: you won't be disappointed! View the full article
  21. Chima Month continues to roll on, and today it brings us another set review. BZPower Forum Assistant Sisen takes a look at 70129 Lavertus' Twin Blade from the LEGO Legends of Chima line. Will this set hover its way into your heart or will it crash and burn under a stinging attack? You'll have to read on to see and also to find out how you can win a copy yourself. Check it out! 22. The LEGO Club website recently listed two upcoming building events. On Saturday, May 3rd (just in time for May the Fourth), Toys 'R' Us will host a Star Wars Mini TIE Fighter and Mini X-Wing building event from 12 to 2 PM. Then on Tuesday, May 6th at 5PM, you can head to your local LEGO Brand Retail store to build a free dragon model. Mark your calendars and head to your local stores next month for some free sets! 23. We haven't had too many Chima-related MOCs outside our recent SBC contest, but last month BZPower Member The Mugbearer posted some cool creations he made with LEGO Digital Designer. His four ChiMechs represent the crocodile, wolf, lion, and eagle tribes and combine animal-like features with battle-ready mechs! The designs are pretty sweet, and I like the way that he incorporated a cockpit into each one. Check them out! View the full article
  24. We already talked about the 75th anniversary Batman Contest being hosted at several AFOL fan conventions throughout the year, but LEGO may not be done with its celebrations. A recent tweet may seem like just a funny image, but if you look closely, Batman is leaning against what appears to be the classic Batmobile from the 1966 TV series. Could this be an unannounced set to further along the anniversary party? We'll have to wait and see! View the full article
  25. When times get tough, you get tougher. And that means bringing in some rhino Chima to take care of business and throw a few rocks around! LEGO was kind enough to provide Rogon's Rock Flinger for a BZPower review, and the rhinos deliver with their fierce armored vehicle. Read on, and watch the video, to see how thick the rhinos' hide is against a member of the spider tribe as we continue on with Chima Month on BZPower. View the full article
