  1. Oh. Okay then. It is a little odd to win a tournament after only playing one round. I'm not complaining though. I'll take Axonn's Axe as the free item and a +5 mind for Gali, purchasing +1 trainers for Electro in toughness and Phantom in strength, applying their bonus points to those stats as well. I would also like to buy Gali some Energized Protodermis.
  2. Okie dokie, final match. Gali Hordika vs. Pridak
  3. ...or it could be due to the fact that you were burned by Suletu the last time Gali and Kopaka fought and I assumed that you would guard against it this time. Granted, you could have just not brought the Adaptive Armor and made me waste an item slot, but it seemed so inevitable that I didn't bother writing a plan B. The steam geyser at the beginning is part of the arena and not Gali's elemental powers, so the drain on her mind should be minimal. But I have to agree, the Suletu is pretty broken in this tournament system, especially with the new item limit.
  4. Okay, let's get this thing rolling. Gali Hordika vs. Hewkii
  5. Shoot, does that mean something offensive in the States? Edited just to be safe...
  6. Hm...I haven't used Gali in ages, so I'll enter her this time. Gali Hordika Strength: 14 Agility: 15 Toughness: 14 Mind: 5 Items: Kanohi Suletu, Kanohi Kadin, Repellers, Hex Shield, Staff of Molecular Disruption By the way, I noticed while writing this that the Staff of Molecular Disruption is not listed in Gali's inventory.
  7. Vox and I have agreed to a match between Blitzkrieg Electro and Immanis Kopaka in the Stalactite Village, 4,000W each. Strategy:
  8. Oh, I meant that each player would choose 6 items from their inventory to bring with them into the tournament. Certain items are already banned from tournaments (they're listed in the first post), but that's generally reserved for items that are really broken (i.e. Staff of Silence). The goal was to make people bring the items that they'll actually use so that their opponents will have some idea of how to counter them, not to make all fighters have uniform inventories.
  9. Nah, my mistake. Although you do tend to get a lot of mileage out of what you have.
  10. While I can understand Vox's perspective, I think that this new tournament system is better for the community as a whole. It gives people a chance to go up against fighters that they would not get to face in regular play and keeps the focus on the strategies rather than brute force. To further even the playing field next month, we could have the participants select a pool of 5-6 items that will be their inventory during the tournament. At the very least that should make it so that people who go up against Canis or me will not have to write as many counter-strategies.
  11. Yeah, shouldn't have taken so much from the toughness stat to boost his strength. Oh well, congratulations Pulse!
  12. Well, at the very least the new system should make this tournament interesting. Fighters with upgrades and large inventories will probably still have an advantage, but it's a nice way to even the playing field and make strategies the focus this time around. On that note, I will be entering Abyssal Phantom with the following stats: Strength: 11 Agility: 14 Toughness: 8 Mind: 15 Also, I would like to buy a Rhotuka Launcher and one pack of each type of spinner.
  13. Canis, Shadowhawk, I'd be more than happy to have champion matches with you guys whenever you're ready. In the meantime, Pulse and I have agreed to a match between Abyssal Phantom and Alloy in the City-Realm. I am contributing 2,000W, while Pulse is out of widgets. Strategy:
  14. Alright, so far I've had requests from Zakaro and Wraith, so I'll start with those two: Blitzkrieg Electro vs. Breez X.0 Blitzkrieg Electro vs. Lava Codec Legend
  15. Assuming that Electro was registered and won his bracket, I'll take a +5 mind trainer and Staff of Molecular Disruption, buy an additional +5 mind trainer, and also apply the bonus point to mind.
  16. Thanks for the update. I can definitely understand the frustration of this project, especially since your work is only getting noticed by a couple diehard fans at the moment. I hope that you can get back into it again, but only if you find personal enjoyment in it.
  17. I'll enter Electro this time around...but with a twist! One MoC Mocha, no whip. Electro's transformation will change him from a wasp to something more akin to a fighter jet, sacrificing some maneuverability in favor of raw speed and firepower. His wings will move to the sides of his body and grow bigger and more streamlined, resembling the wing pieces from Kopaka's Phantoka form (in purple). He will also gain similarly-shaped dorsal fins near the back of his torso. His "feet" will be replaced with small wheels for better acceleration on the ground and be able to fold into his body during flight to reduce drag. The back end of his torso will become a turbine that runs off of his electricity powers. Caelum will revert back to a regular throwing arm, while his new reforge will be a weapons system called Sagittaurius. His new weapons will include electro-rockets which can pop out of the bottoms of his wings and be aimed with his electricity powers and EMP grenades which can be dropped from a hatch in the bottom of his torso. Let's call this new form Blitzkrieg Electro.
  18. Thank you for the match Phaenyx! Although Canis probably deserves the most frightening inventory award. It keeps me awake at night.... I would like to use my new money to buy a MoC Mocha for Phantom, turning him into Abyssal Phantom. In this new form, the blades of the Sabre Strikers will be launchable and attached to the "arms" by retractable chains, allowing them to function as mid-range weapons. The Sabre Strikers will need to be a little bigger so that the chains can retract entirely inside the "barrel" behind the blade. His hands will grow moderate-sized claws sharp enough to cut enemies with but that still allow him to grip weapons. His feet will also gain "claws" on the front and back to allow him to grip surfaces better. Note: This change will not affect matches that I've already posted the strategies for.
  19. Ooh, me! Mememe! ...ahem, and my last post has been updated with Phantom's strategy against Lava, so you can call that match whenever you're ready, Pahrak. Capo Black Phantom vs. Hahli Hordika
  20. Alright, three Champion Matches hot out of the oven: Capo Black Phantom vs. Dragon Bolt Hordika Capo Black Phantom vs. Luna Galaxia Capo Black Phantom vs. Lava Codec
  21. A good match indeed. Makes me glad I bought the Illegal Refit when I did. I will take the all-stats boost for Black Phantom and buy him a +3 toughness trainer too, applying his bonus point to agility. As for his free item, I would like the Evil Brain and to buy a set of Wing Boosters. Finally, I'll buy Electro a +1 trainer in mind and also apply his bonus point to mind.
  22. Alright, let's begin.Capo Black Phantom vs. Tainted Nocturn
  23. That would be awesome, in a franchise-breaking sort of way. I'm guessing his battle theme would be a dramatic orchestral version of "Hacking To the Gate."
